Lol
Good morning Elowin,
As Naqaden said you caught us at an off time but there will be posts in here soon enough. I run a guild on Devona’s Rest and I promise you we’re friendly regardless of how new you are to the game or MMOs in general. The wonderful thing about GW2 is how easy it is to pick up and play, there’s nothing overly complex about it.
In regards to your dungeon question your best bet is to join a guild that suits you. You never know, when you meet a group of players you enjoy running dungeons and the like with you may find yourself branching out more, and trying new things.
You can find our guild posting here (We are on Devona’s Rest):
The Burning Eden [TBE]
You can always contact us in game if you’d rather have a conversation and get a better feel for what our guild is about. Feel free to add me to your friend list as I’m on every evening.

We’ve been doing some growing but we’re always looking for more of you wonderful people to join the ranks and come enjoy the game with us.
We’re an active yet casual guild that participates in all aspects of the game.
PvE, PvP, and WvW
Whether your interested in only one aspect of the game or many our only goal is to enjoy the game to it’s fullest.
If you want to condemn me, go ahead, but I doubt you’d also agree that zerg deserve to get a badge off me when I’m solo.
If they down/finish you they deserve a badge – simple as that.
They exploit the power of the zerg.
You exploit the fact that the thief profession has a very powerful advantage in 1v1 battles.Alt-F4 is not playing in the spirit of the game.
^ This ^
It just made my morning, lol.
Also, it’s sad when you chase down another thief and he does that after losing a 1v1. Double whammy.
I agree with the OP. It wouldn’t be a daunting task to just add subtitles to the cut scenes and translate skills and flavor text.
+1
What if there are people that are accidentally being disconnected during WvW? What would be a better suggestion is the game detects the reason of the game being closed (disconnecting or force quit by alt + f4 or any other way). If it was a force quit then give the last player that hit that character (or who ever did the most damage) a kill, and the player that force quit will not be spawned outside of the WvW battleground.
I think the simplest solution is what most MMOs do where your toon is still there for 10-15 seconds after disconnect. While you can try to implement a system for detecting alt-f4 that will just cause the kittens to resort back to standby buttons and pulling ether cables. I know how sad that sounds but if someone is already going to alt-f4 not to die I don’t think it’s hard to imagine that as the next step.
no no alone with no other factors I have never seen a 18k crit with a GS or Rifle. you want to add in out side factors sure I have seen 22k crits lol
I hit a rabbit for 22.7k the other night. Do I win the kitten cookie?
I have no issue with this. While ANet certainly has bigger fish to fry I don’t see any problems with it.
In LOTRO we were allowed to adopt two players as children and could even have up to 10 generations in a given family tree. Sadly there was no marriage so it made having families a little odd without RPing a husband/wife into it.
There’s no reason to or not to add this.
Elitism is already present in this game
I.E.: GLF all 80’s in exotics for speed run AC Path 1 – 3
hour in a half later
GLF1m All 80’s in exotics for speed run AC path 1 – 32 hours and 45 minutes later they finish while the mixed group of 80, 80 in exotics, 35, 64, 42 cleared story and path 1,2,3
It is a proven fact that Damage meters only bring in Trolls and Elitist Kittens. step into one WoW raid ( hell LFR ) and you will understand how Damage meters or meters in general have ruined MMO’s for a lot of people.
I vote no ON prop 5674
Hence why ANet is not allowing add-ons to the game. They know it destroys communities, especially in a casual friendly game.
No.
Most people don’t know how to read a Damage Meter correctly and tend to rate other players by nothing else than their DPS which is poisonous for the community.
That is exactly my feeling on this. The OP’s post sounded, at least in my mind, that a DPS meter is all that’s needed to figure the good players from the bad which is certainly not the case. Communication is the biggest key to success in any scenario, you could have the hardest hitting toons in the game but if you don’t coordinate you’ll get pummeled fast.
A solution would be to create a item for gems that allows you to pick dyes that you currently own on one character and make them account wide.
I like this idea. I think it would be the easiest thing to implement with no adverse effect on the current dye system. By that I mean there’s very little chance of breaking something while implementing it. There are a lot of dyes in this game and I certainly don’t need them all on my alts, but I’d like a few.
+1
Your ideas are not favorable to the community, and your attitude is horrible. You’re whining will not be heard by Anet. You aren’t worth their time.
We try and try and try again, yet he keeps coming back to argue how we’re all wrong to his right.
Map and ask is a bug, like thieves invisible hits and so many others. In fact yes, you can chat, ask for support for your server, abuse, cheers, and etc. But it’s a bug, and I don’t want to use it. It shall be made at right way. I don’t see why I shall use bugs to communicate with other ppl in one MMO game.
I wouldn’t consider it a bug even if ANet said it was. We have /team and /map chat for a reason. /team is for your side of the fight while /map is general chat, it makes perfect sense to keep it as is.
Oh, so it’s going to be changed because you say it’s wrong and will be made right? At least that’s what I think you said in that broken English.
Well aside from that “bug” the only other way to talk to the majority of other players, who are on other servers, is via forum and overflow.
I am still only getting this one notion form this thread.
Nerf Boss damage cause I don’t want to learn how to use the mechanics of the game to my advantage. I just want to pew pew everything till it is dead and have no difficulty doing it, I don’t want to have to create a mitigation build character in order to take hits form a boss. I just want to do Ubber damage and be ubber immune to dying.
That’s exactly what I get from them as well. The thief arguing with me is simply upset his glass cannon daggers can’t save him. Meanwhile all you need to do is do what thieves do best, evade attacks.
Firstly I am not upset, also I am not arguing with you, I am debating with you there’s a difference believe me. I evade attacks as much as possible and I do tend to survive allot more then other classes even when I swap to my daggers and go nuts. The point that is trying to be made here is not that we are calling for a nerf on boss damage, we are not calling to be made gods, we are asking for some variety and for the ability at certain times on current bosses (or future ones) to be able to have the option to do more then just kite. If you are too egotistical to understand that then please go find another thread to try and troll. (The reason I choose the word “egotistical” is in your signature, “Asuran Master Thief” says it all). Your assuming comments on me crying about my build make me laugh (seriously I nearly fell of my chair laughing), my build works well for my play style and works well in groups and I am yet to receive any complaints about it. Lastly I am not trying to turn this in to a fight, but I don’t understand the need for your back handed comments and assumptions. Its just rude and not needed in this thread. This Thread I feel is about making suggestions on ways to make this already amazing game that little bit more amazing.
Lol, my signature is for my own personal kicks. If you honestly think I take myself seriously as some sort of master thief your preconceived notions of me are comical.
Moving on…
I constantly bicker with you because every time you post here you add a few more tidbits of nonsense on how you do this or that but still complain about something you never have to encounter.
My groups don’t kite bosses, never have seen a need to except in one instance where we got ambushed by some big troll and all I did was aggro it and run it back and forth across a bridge until my party got back on it’s feet. Aside from those few critical moments I’ve never kited nor seen a boss handled that way.
Like I said, you must be ending up in some easy mode groups that don’t like the challenge of melee combat or w/e the problem may be. My guilds warriors handle it fine so I disagree with the original topic of needing a change in boss behavior. Maybe check your tanks can actually tank before starting?
Aggro in this game can be interesting some times but bosses still target conventionally most of the time. If your tanks are not able to hold aggro against your uber dagger damage then I have a new suggestion for you, tone down your damage. I know, it’s a dangerous thought I’m having here for you kittens that need to stroke the virtual kitten of kittenery but you get no where by trying to be the hero and kill the boss in one powerful shot.
Aggro management has always been and always will be a staple in MMOs. If you end up having to kite constantly then you need to get together with your heavies and figure out what’s going wrong. Not come trotting onto the forum demanding they make the big bad bosses more vulnerable.
FYI, my guilds warriors tank without a guard or water attuned ele. Maybe bring one of those along to help alleviate some problems. Just a thought.

And how you feel good killing anonymous ppl? It’s insane, and some kind ugly. Yesterday I was defeated from Guardian in WvW. He attacked first, but I killed him, while he was down, he slew a bird near him, and respawn, I killed him again, but meanwhile he spawned hell dogs, and a pet, which killed me. It was epic fight. At the end he made a curtsey for me. I don’t know his name, and he doesn’t know mine. And we could be friends in this game, if wasn’t so. If… Ok I will say it – some idiots in forums, and in Anet were not so afraid from abusing. Why you shall screw all players, cause some of them are stupid, and abuse each other? It’s MMO, ppl play it cause it’s social, cause they can chat, and talk. If you stop all this, it is not MMO anymore. And GW2 is at the edge be not a MMO.
About the forts. It’s essential. If my guild takes a fort and lose it after few minutes, we shall go back to retake it, and again, and again – 24/7 – this is a super grind, and in fact it’s almost impossible to own fort even 1 day. So why you shall take fort anyway, and invest in his defense, it’s pointless.
I don’t know what THEY are working on. Till now I didn’t see any results of this work. Only scheduled updates. I just want Anet to fix this game before release of the next big upgrade.
Then don’t abandon the fort you just took. Defense is just as important as offense, especially in a war setting. You can also just /map and ask the guardian his name, it’s not hard to throw a few details in about the fight to grab his attention, unless s/he doesn’t want to talk to you.
Also, I never said this would make it easy. Doing it this way could open a lot of room to make it more difficult than incompetently doing the same dungeon over, and over, and over… It would reward skill over just repeating the same grind.
Bonus rooms and loot for completing random events that pop up.
IE: You’re party is ambushed by a large spider that drops down from the ceiling thus triggering the random event. Kill the spider and receive a small loot bag and discover the spider has knocked open a hidden passage in the wall.
Just a thought branching from yours, there could be hundreds of possibilities.
I understand you very well, im also getting boring of this battle system and im talking here about make the battle system like gw1 because was much more freely and wise tactical approuch to play, here i feel like im playing a game with a lot of blocking system.
Feel free to speak here, i realy hope they change this.Since not everyone is familiar with GW1 combat, please allow be to summarize it for those that did not experience it:
- Warrior pulls a group of enemies around a corner. Ranged AI is now shooting into the wall, and the melees are being body blocked by the warrior.
- Monks and/or paragons drop massive damage reduction buffs on the warrior to effectively reduce incoming damage to 0. In many cases, the warrior will take 0 damage and heal everything in the area with each hit.
- Ranged damage dealers (everybody else) drops AEs on the cluster of enemies, being careful to avoid skills that trigger the scatter mechanic. Melee attackers stack +damage buffs and let loose with n-squared damage combos (Whirlwind attack + Hundred blades + battle standard of slaughter, etc.).
- Everybody bum-rushes the ranged mobs.
- Loot.
- Repeat.
When I first experienced it, the content was new and novel. Looking back on it, however, it was all pretty simple, especially following a lot of the skill buffs and 7-hero allowance.
Bosses in GW1 were largely just tank-and-spank fights. Shiro was just a matter of getting everybody in melee range and popping the warrior special skill, or using his leashing mechanics against him. Kanaxai was a straight-up tank-and-spank, urgoz was like kiting a stationary target, almost nothing in EotN was particularly inventive, they were just interesting backstories and groups of enemy builds to counter. Duncan was just a matter of bringing swap on a human-controlled character.
There are only two fights that come to mind as being more than just “kill the enemy” fights: The Iron Forgeman and the wurm boss in the story version of Heart of the Shiverpeaks. These two fights required you to do a lot more than jsut use your skill bar in an effective manner.
While I look back at my time spent in GW1 fondly, it was the environment, lore, and community that made it enjoyable, not the boss fights.
I’m unsure of this grande idea that GW1 combat was better. You hit the nail square on the head with this post and as a full time monk for years I concur. ANet did the one thing they needed to do to make their content more challenging then the last game and that was remove healing. I could be fast asleep and still heal a group in GW1 it was that easy.
GW1 was just a better game with teamwork.
GW2 is 5 individuals being their own team working alongside each other.
GW2 lost everything that made GW1 a good game and we just have to live with that.
Losing out on things like healing other players, protective spirit, blocking by %, blind that doesn’t suck, daze that doesn’t suck, interrupts that don’t suck etc. is how Anet wanted the game to progress.
Even if GW1 bosses were a tank and spank, I still enjoyed them a lot more than the bosses in GW2.
Well you’re clearly upset and should go play GW1 if it’s so much better. Stop pugging and find a guild if your having that kind of luck every single time you enter a dungeon. If your in a guild find a new one cause it clearly doesn’t work well as a team.
I am still only getting this one notion form this thread.
Nerf Boss damage cause I don’t want to learn how to use the mechanics of the game to my advantage. I just want to pew pew everything till it is dead and have no difficulty doing it, I don’t want to have to create a mitigation build character in order to take hits form a boss. lol you too :P
well technically GW2 SPvP system is somewhat e-sport..not arguing with you
The fun part is still figuring out your own playing method and what suits your.
This is way better than also going to look for builds, which i for one have not done as i do not believe i will choose to play the most simple or easiest, damage/tank build.
I want to take them kitten slacking builds and make then oh kittenbutton smashing!
its fun
I wish it was e-sport. GW2, at least on my server, could do with some more activity especially on the PvP front. It’s sad to see only 60 something players in the ranked leaderboards for top 100 pvpers.
Your best bet is trial and error.
I have changed my weapon sets and traits numerous times and it took me until a few weeks after hitting 80 to finally settle on what I wanted. Most thieves would probably disagree with my build as missing this or needing that but in the end it’s you playing and you need to build for the way you play.
I like it the way it is. I don’t believe our sword or dagger main hand skills need tweaking.
Heartseeker does too need tweeking. Something has to be done about the distance, it is stupid, and thieves spamming it from afar to “close the gap” just look absolutely ridiculous.
I also think it should require a target to leap forward, like infiltrator’s strike does. If you hit IS with no target, you go nowhere and your shadow return mark appears where you stand. HS just leaps forward, and can be spammed to cover a large distance, and can be used effectively by a cowardly thief to run away.
I feel like thieves using HS to move around at will is cheesy. See it all too much, and although I’m not RPing at all, it really does break immersion when I have to stop and think about how dumb it looks, jumping 20 feet and thrusting your dagger at the air…
Do you propose we use a 4 init dancing dagger that tickles our enemies to close gaps? LOL
We would have no ability in dagger line to close gaps if you nerfed HS gap closing…
It can’t be spammed over and over, we eventually run out of init are left defenseless unless we steal from someone with certain traits.
Not at all. I believe it should be 3 initiative BUT I’m not the devs of this game. They saw a reason for doing so and as it was said already, HS is spam-tastic. It’s a rather good trade off unless you’d rather have that nerfed a little to get DD down to 3.
Like I said, I’m very content with my class as it is. P/P could use a little auto attack tweak but everything else imo is working well, at least for me. I have no trouble being a boss in PvE or PvP and that’s with any weapon set.
<3 you to Kaimick! +1 for Tuesday afternoon buddies!
Also know that they do hold back a lot I assume to prevent people from creating an Add on like Recount which ruins the enjoyment of the game.
Exactly! This game was designed for enjoyment, not e-sports.
I prefer to not go WoW nerd on MMOs anymore. Once you start calculating every little thing it’s no longer an enjoyable game. You turn elitist, make inspection related suggestions, and force people to play particular ways because the math shows it will provide the greatest amount of X. X being damage or w/e your looking for from that class.
I’m sure the formula is out there but I’d suggest just taking note from trial and error tests with equipment and traits.
God forbid they do that kitten YOU ARENA NET FOR MAKING 2% of the over all Skills root skills. I mean I know you said that combat will be so your not rooted all the time but you should have added in that 2%.
Tell you what Kape you want to have an arsenal of weapons you can switch to carry them all in your bag, if you know the mob forces you to go range switch. Although don’t sit here and say they lied to us, that is absurd.
This is not Guild Wars 1, this is not a game based on only skills and no weapon skills.
get over it we have shown you where you are wrong, and how you are seeing it wrong and you insist on trying to argue a point that makes no sense. You even go to the length of going to other threads and posting this thread, you need to stop that.
Right? He spends more time linking this thread to other suggestions which at length are minimally similar in some way, shape, or form and doesn’t bother dealing with the fact his idea is flawed.
I dissagree, battle system should be more free like GW1.
You have to pre plan taking all weapons you need into your bags and use them when you need, they also said you can fight while in movement why some skills dont follow that concept they wanted to make the game realistic when they block you on battle system and some skills you need stop to use them.some skills are with gw1 system (can use it when stopped) other dont why they dont add them all for the new system they implemented as realistic.
Right now battle system its not equal to all classes if they keep using this blocks and dont make all equal to all classes.
I don’t remember ever playing an MMO where every class could move during inductions. Either your English is to poor to convey your idea properly or maybe it’s time you play a new genre of game. You will never see inductions removed nor the ability to move during inductions. Every class has them and every class deals with it, it stems all the way back to D&D where you’d spend turns charging a spell to use.
Wish some of you guys think on all classes and what your saying on your sentences.
ill give you warrior example you use GS+Dual Axe now you need a ranged weapon and battle system block you. That being said many people dont know what im asking here and this makes it very clear. We should be able to equip a range weapon.
Nay of the Ether did you played gw1?
FYI, the weapon sets from GW1 are the reason we have weapon swapping here. The system was upgraded to something that makes much more sense.
I’m pretty sure we understand what your asking the problem is your not liking our response. Half of the challenge in MMOs is picking your build and weapons/armor. You need to think about what you’ll need prior to heading out due to the fact your always going to be limited.
For example: I wish I could endlessly swap between my S/P and SB without a CD but that would be unfair to those without a weapon swap. Instead I plan ahead and give myself other options in case of a situation I’d be worried of encountering.
For example again: I’m in WvW chasing down a thief. Well s/he can dodge as well as I can so my speed buff there doesn’t help. Thankfully even though my swap is on CD I can still turn around and burn initiative to catch up via weapon skill and then steal to close range.
If your having issues with the class, weapons, or armor your playing with your probably not thinking through what you may need. If your only issue is attacking a group of bad guys and realizing half way through you should have done B instead of A well lesson learned. Next time do B instead.
I understand you very well, im also getting boring of this battle system and im talking here about make the battle system like gw1 because was much more freely and wise tactical approuch to play, here i feel like im playing a game with a lot of blocking system.
Feel free to speak here, i realy hope they change this.
How many threads are you going to link your thread to?
I vote for this idea, I like the 1 time achievement thing, and different ways to earn rewards. I don’t mind grinding some, but I also hate stagnant play with no room for flexibility. Most grinds I can find ways to do it differently to keep it interesting but with the current dungeon system there’s not much room to change it. You run it, same paths same strats, get the same rewards regardless of how good or poorly you did, go home with your loot. Seems pretty stagnant to me. This idea would freshen the runs and make obtaining at least 1 set from the dungeons a rather enjoyable experience.
Exactly. I understand, especially those who did the grind already, the perversion to this idea but it does not make anything easy mode by being a 1 time thing nor is there any real downside. Most MMOs have some achievement system in the game for titles, exp, or other rewards and dungeons are usually part of it. There’s no reason with the current XBL, or Steam, style of achievement system we currently have to not build upon it with new ideas.
Stealth its making you already out of combat, when you use it you see your able to equip weapons and you loose agroo.
Not true if your combat bugged. When it happens to me I end up using my heal skill (which also stealths me) multiple times to get full health rather than log out, since killing a few more mobs usually fixes the issue.
Nice vid. I can’t wait to get my hands on that for S/P combo in WvW.
I like it the way it is. I don’t believe our sword or dagger main hand skills need tweaking.
The only downside in this that I forgot to mention is that this will cause players to start spamming the chat which could easily be fixed when they add the LFG window just like in GW1.
Agreed. We seriously need this feature but it should come with a global trade channel or something.
NCsoft has some of the best, biggest server farms in the gaming word.
Not sure if ANet got their own for GW2, but I can asure you making a test server is not a problem of hardware and bandwith for them.I think the reason for no public test server is that they don’t want the content of the updates to leak before due time. PR reasons.
Pretty much. Sadly after watching games like LOTRO with test servers up since the start they generally don’t do much for the game or community unless the devs are actually willing to listen.
I’ve seen some terrible ideas in testing servers still get added to the game even after the general outcries of the community.
I’m not disagreeing that the bosses/dungeons need work considering the amount of damage vs the lack of healing. I simply noticed a lot of thief comments and wanted to throw 2 cents in since the boss aspect has been covered.
Try running S/P and Shortbow. I use both, mainly my bow, on bosses but the nice thing about sword is you can use your #2 skill to shadowstep behind the boss when opportunities present themselves, pistol whip him for some good damage followed by shadowstepping back to your original position and weapon swap back to your bow.
I do that when I run with my guild knowing my warriors are capable of handling melee combat and aggro management. So I’m never worried about the boss turning around to smack me, even if he does you can still return before anything bad happens. If your thief is a glass cannon you may want to look into a better build, it’s a support class after all.
Thief is a support class ? sorry but I disagree fully, (not going of subject here to much but: ) yes we can give party wide stealth and venom share on certain builds but its not a support class, A Thief is best when its doing no holds bared DPS IMO, in response to saying try using S/P I tried it and I never liked It I know its popular with people in PVP who don’t know how to use Duel dagger to its full potential but in PvE I also I find its damage output to be massively less next to duel dagger, I use short bow for WvW and PvP but not so much in dungeons as at range it does not have high enough single target DPS next to Duel pistols, and in a boss fight I personally think duel pistols is better. Using S/P to do as you suggested would still amount to less DPS then standing there going full DPS with Pistols, which brings us back to the original point that Thief’s and certain other classes are forced most of the time to stay at range. During boss fights I do swap to my daggers for a quick burst at times but the problem is as soon as the boss targets me I am dead which is why I think making bosses at times vulnerable to CC meaning people who prefer to use close range attacks can get there fix ^^.
And likewise I would completely disagree with your statement that Thief is best as all out dps. When you have rangers and casters backing up warriors and guards there is no reason to go glass cannon. Thief is totally a support class as it can be a dps class depending on the way you play.
To address your “Once the boss targets me I’m dead” point, that’s why I laid it out for you. When you go glass cannon your going to get owned, especially in a dungeon with no healing and hard hitters. That’s why our S/P has a shadowstep/return skill and our shortbow has a built in evade. The fact your getting hit is simply due to your play style, my thief handles melee and ranged very well with no significant loss in dps.
In regards to supporting my group I do many things to allow others to keep the fight going. With my ability to evade attacks at a much higher level then other classes I handle picking up any downed players. I handle CC and aggro by dropping party stealth and blind conditions following interrupts. I drop my poison condition fields for combos for the entire group followed by cluster bombs or pistol whips for AoE attacks. I could write paragraphs of examples but you’ll probably stop reading before this sentence and write me off as “troll thief who failz”.
You can be a support class and still do very well on the DPS front.
While I disagree with equipping weapons and armor during combat I do agree that ANet needs to review the battle system. Many players have complained about being bugged in combat and having to relog or being killed because of it.
i would say if your in multiple guilds then each of your guilds should get the influence a player earns or at least a portion of it in some way wither the player Rep’s or not…. 100% influence for the guild your Rep’ing and maybe 50% influence for the ones you arnt at the time.
YES! They should either remove multi-guilds or add this feature. There is no point being in multiple guilds, especially if your not going to rep them ever, and cost that guild influence.
Everything in here will hopefully be addressed by the devs. Like most of you I’m also a guild leader since before this game and GW2 has without a doubt been the biggest headache in regards to guilds I’ve ever had the displeasure of working with.
There are so many good systems in the guild portion of this game and yet it’s all destroyed by the multi -guild/rep system. I’m 100% behind all ideas mentioned by the OP along with removing multi-guild entirely.
Whilst I disagree with your drive for coming up with these ideas, I like most of them in their own right.
Anything that rewards doing things different ways, and makes the group think and take their time more than just steamrolling through content would be greatly appreciated.
See, instead of trolling someone for possibly wanting their loot quicker I looked at it from this angle. Most of my fun in games comes from trying new ideas, sometimes really dumb ones but I still get enjoyment. For the nay-sayers saying “shut up and go grind like I did silently” maybe you missed the part about this being a one time deal. It’s not something you should be able to over and over like a daily, it would be a real achievement for doing something the average group wouldn’t accomplish.
I like that, it’s an xbox achievement kind of style. Receive X tokens for beating 1 wing, 2 wings, or 3 wings. Then you get X tokens for doing nifty little things ANet wouldn’t expect from a PUG. As long as it’s a one time per character type of deal it would certainly make dungeons more interesting.
+1

Agreed. I really cannot see buying more outfits until there is a storage for them. Seeing as how I am ok with buying the outfits, i.e. Not with gold, I would also be ok for selling this storage for 400 gems.
On that note, id like a storage to hold one of eavh dungeon armour and weapon, much like the pvp locker now, per character of course.
Imagine if you would…a personal house, located in any major Tyrian city. In this house you have vault access, armor/weapon stands, and wardrobes to display all the glorious things you’ve found on your journey.
I need a cube with a floating hammock, oh and a stable for my pink moa mount. Thanks ANet! =)
Yep, a wardrobe system would be a wonderful addition to the game. All my hats need nice little pegs to hang off of.
Ok if you don’t like it, I will fix it
Arenanet, you shall improve economy, cause now there is no specialization, after a month in game every player can craft high lvl weapons, jewels and gear. So, the whole economy system doesn’t work. Gold is extremely easy to obtain.
You shall fix Raids. It’s a shame, game from 2012 to have raids with AI and mechanics like the first Dungeon Siege.
You shall make names visible in WvW, so when I kill a party of enemies they to fear me. This is fun. Now I just kill some mobs with good AI, they are not real ppl – no names, no speech – mobs.
You shall implement individual tournaments in this game.
I think fighting and targeting systems are primitive, like some taken from year 2002. You can improve them. Targeting in L2 is much better.
You shall improve guilds. Now guilds are almost useless. You have 4, one more or one less, who cares. And there is no competition between the guilds. The name of this game is GuildWars, so where are Wars?
You shall implement real estate awards. Now if guild takes some fortification, it can lose it after few minutes. There shall be some period in time in which newly conquered object cannot be taken from enemies.
You shall implement more mmo futures in this game, cause now it’s like Tetris – only statistics, no real fame, no need of much communication – it’s kind a boring – not catchy, just something for losing some time.
You shall never post another suggestion, ever…
The only viable idea was the name showing in WvW which I totally agree with, like everyone else.
Honestly, this was the most idiotic post I’ve come across. Not only do you show no ability to comprehend or apply clever thinking to the “issues” you mentioned BUT you’re just demanding things. Try some creative criticism instead of “You shall add my ideas…I HAVE SPOKEN!”
Is anyone counting these thief/rifle suggestions? I’m at 12 but I feel that’s to low.
We had a strong showing in WvW yesterday with some new members getting their feet wet while others have gotten closer to their 500 badge mark. If you enjoy dungeon runs and PvP feel free to ask for an invite along with us sometime. If you like what you see or are in need of a new home we’re always glad to share our hearth.
I tried very hard to like P/P but in the end swapped back to S/P.
For dungeons I’m 99% of the time using short bow since not only do you drop plenty of conditions/combo finishers with the AoEs the ability to kite/dodge is great. The arrow jumping is always good for fighting groups.
In the end you need to setup your weapon swaps for the scenarios you may face. I certainly never assume I’ll only be using one weapon set.
Fixing bugs and exploits. Working on sPvP and WvWvW. Bettering the existing Dungeons. Honestly, the game has a ton of content. I don’t want anything new right now unless it’s directly related to existing content.
Agreed.
I’m not sure where this notion of the game needs more content comes from considering the game released at the end of August. Not including beta events this game is 3 months out of the gate, and all the extra content so far has been cherries on top. Please just fix and polish what we have before concerning with more content. I realize there’s a large group of players around now that jump from game to game like it’s their job but you can’t expect them to stick around even if you add something every month. They’ll show up, spend no money, complete the events, and leave again. Please focus on those of us planning to stay for the long haul.
There needs to be a LFG system, but if you’re talking about clicking a button, joining a queue, and randomly joining a group with random people from random servers with random levels, random classes. (Ok I’m talking about the WoW lfg system) I vote no.
If you mean just a simple interface of putting a group together, I am all for an in game solution, but until then there is the GW2LFG site.
Gah! You beat me to it!
The LFG group website is about as much of a grouping system as we need. Would I prefer to not have to alt-tab to use it? Sure but it’s as simple as posting on a forum and letting the internet handle the rest.
