Tell me, please, how this is acceptable.
I have to say, I’m not seeing an issue from that screenshot. Looks like it sits on the back?
I am 110% behind this idea
And I’m 110% behind your 110%!
That is 220% more dwarf!
I am 110% behind this idea
I assume this re-push is because of the huge influx of new players and they’d rather have them buy in game gold than through outside sellers.
Not seeing anything more nefarious than that tbh unless I am missing something..
I had the same problem with the torch recipe. Said articifer, but meant huntsman only.
I couldnt be bothered with a ticket, so I bought the 3rd crafting licence and levelled a second huntsman to 450
A ticket ofc is the sensible thing, since it is a bug
Just dont eat the bacon….i hear it is iffy at the moment
What kind of a Thanksgiving meal is loaded with bacon? O.o
What kind of meal isnt loaded with bacon ;D
Just dont eat the bacon….i hear it is iffy at the moment
When you get to level 80 and find more substantial content, as good as fire is…using the other attunements is imperative. You can’t judge tactics on the first 55 levels since there is virtually no variation in gameplay, outside of maybe story dungeons.
Yes, it has been widely discussed across reddit and the lore subforums. Sadly, it would appear his part in the story was just confined to the early PS and not something considered important enough to expand on. Unless S3 introduces him back and his people back into the story (unlikely now), it was a missed opportunity.
The only hope you have is change in mindset. Anet have changed their minds on many things and swung back and forth in directions.
I think fractals and raids are enough to keep their instance design teams busy and both have existing frameworks to build upon, so I doubt we will see dungeons again
Bright light..
Bright light!!!
I noticed my shadow greatsword is now a blue tint – a change from its normal red tint it has always been.
Anyone else noticed a change? Does it alter colour based on time of day?
I tried autocast, didnt even come close. Sounds like there was a change if ppl were able to do it before.
You need to use it almost immediately the first time, if you use it when you get the most effect, the pattern will be off and you won’t make it. Although who knows how it will work now.
I thought i did, however i will retry after the fix and see if it still works
No, many of us have been scratching our heads on this one. They elected to go on a headline charge after our friends for the spine of the story ans suddenly it ends with little fanfare. There were so many options they could have gone with, many are documented by equally baffled players in the lore subforums.
To have a story that felt shorter than season 2 in a paid expac, with lots of subthreads not explored (Mallyck..?) and no epilogue….it is no wonder players felt ahort changed.
It was enjoyable and with decent dialogue and gameplay….but yes abrupt sums it up perfectly.

I want everything in the package, however i have currently stayed my hand because i can see how supporting this sends the wrong message. People without HoT suffer with items they can not use and really not everyone will want that combo.
Im all for package deals, but there needs to be individual options.
November 24th 2015
The day bacon broke Guild Wars 2
The big issue on both my old PC and my new PC (which is higher spec than Kaligos’ one) is the smoke. I can still get 50-60 fps, but as soon as I get into an area with heavy smoke or fire, then it goes off like a yoyo.
We more gratitude like that round here!
I’ve had 2 plates from greens/blues so far using master level equivalent salvage kits, but that’s a tiny proportion of the drops I’ve had of those weapons.
Thanks Prince. This was the advice given by devs already, but many are still reporting issues with that client crashing since Tuesday as well, hence the surge in threads and posts.
To be honest, i dont think they realised at all. They saw a shark event and prob didnt realise how the chain works. There is a similar situation with Twilight and Dwaynas Temple, however the temple runs regularly enough it is less of an issue.
I would report it as a bug
Hover over the icon for your achievements and see how many daily achievements have given you. There is a maximum of 10,000 I believe and after that you get no more from dailies.
Yes and ectos were the reward for Fireheart today.
Although I did see a rise in exotics and rares drop for me since HoT. That could be coincidental or perhaps they found a glitch in magic find that was fixed.
Im hearing reports of the 64bit client still having issues. Can you report back if you still get crashes?
There are a lot of reports in the bugs and accounts subforums. I’m not sure if the 64bit client alone is the fix for this one.
Same issue. Latest crash happened just after I notivced the colour blocking appearing on world map. Never had issues before Tuesdays patch, the odd crash shortly after HoT launch in DS, but that was it. Now 2-3 a day.
I have this on the world map before I crash out too. I presume this is an OOM issue?
Many are still with the company, some have left, but that is part of the course with any company. I’d have been amazed to see an identical crew over 10 years. That doesn’t happen.
I disagree with the dull, generic content comment. That is subjective. It is different entirely and part of that is because playing field itself was so restrictive in GW1. Maps were interesting, but lacked much replayability. Grind was just as heavy for the “cool” stuff. Story was abominable (to me) until at least Nightfall when it improved a great deal.
Of course that is largely hindsight, GW1 was an amazing game for its time, but as a different type of game, a different philoosphy, it can never really be compared to it’s “sequel”. The existing and new devs for the game understood that and have adjusted their development and vision accordingly.
Doesn’t mean I don’t have issues with GW2 though (and I agree with your dungeons comment), but bland, generic gameplay is not one of them.
I sympathise having seen changes to things like Axe on necro and other animations changed. They are generally steadfast in not reversing such changes though (altho the axe one was to counter an exploit which is fair enough…it just was an extremely poor substitute animation).
Having said that, the Ele forum has a growing thread – I’d def add feedback to that since general discussion loses visibility fast
The core zones are still highly populated. That could be due to f2p, it could be due to megaservers having less shards, it could eb all the people doing map rewards/masteries/collections, but it’s still fully viable to play without HoT either way.
Did they fix the map completion rewards in HoT? Has anyone confirmed this?
I can’t confirm HoT, but I got Silverwastes, Southsun, & Dry Top completion rewards after the patch, so looks promising.
Yes, going into the zone I got these 3 too
Empyreal Fragments are located in many places. I have thousands upon thousands of fragments and I barely ever dungeon. Many champ bags have them for starters, specifically in Silverwastes, as do core world JP chests and explorable chests
Dont forget to use laurels for t6 mats.
My first legendary involved me selling every sellable item in my bank and mat storage. Amazing how much money can be found when the hoarding instinct is temporarily dropped!
This is a fun idea. Stats:
+Precision
+Concentration
+hyper speed, especially to jumping!
I am on my third Flat White of the day. I approve of my character being equally caffeine addicted.
Maybe they will disband the Pact and work on making the Orders more relevant again. They could use the masteries system for example to make exclusive perks for being in an order .
Im confused. How were the Elder Dragons consuming magic if you are saying magic did not exist before the Gods?
@Tom Gore I think the airships in Arah story actually move (the ones before Zhaitan fight).
That isnt open world though, it is instanced. Im not certain there is a difference tech wise, but Tom specfically noted open world.
They are usually telegraphed.
Snipers wind up a shot and you can see them doing it, via an overhead symbol.
Some lay ground effects as the wind up to the big hit. These are spottable.
Mobs that charge or roll, have minute signs in their animation and only a short window for you to move. You just get used to learning the timings on these. Generally ranged is more efficient though since they are too mobile for consistent dps
Smokescales you just avoid their red circle
Also, many big damage attacks are tied to the breakbar. Getting players to break this down quickly will help avoid the damage
Spoilers ahead
The story ends with you defeating Mordremoth, but not via what many would deem a classic Vs Dragon fight. In fact no Dragon appears in the story only an avatar within the Dream. It’s a good fight on a mechnical level. The Dragon Stand Meta has you taking on a worm like and quite massive entity known as the Mouth of Mordremoth. This is indicated to be his physical body or at least an extension of it. You do get to fight and defeat it and that’s kinda fun
you buy the mats (eg deldrimor ingot) to craft it yourself is what they mean
The masteries were introduced in response to a desire by the community to have horizontal progression. They were developed from feedback accumulated during a long discussion period with the community.
Legendaries. Well the old ones are of course not obsolete. Not sure why you think they are. There are just more options now. As far for crafting, well they require more crafting than the old ones did sure, but they should represent all aspects of the game. I don’t like pvp, but I accept the need to pvp to get such a trophy.
The Wvw Map completion. Well yes, unfortunate, but they changed it based on community feedback. It was the right thing to do for the game. Players like yourself and I are not invalidated by doing it the longer way though.
Yes there will be more “pscyho villains”. We knew that before the game was released. There may even be other threats beyond dragons.
To answer your question though – there is no “ultimate aim/goal”. An MMO simply has to put in the kind of things you have listed in order to progress. To many the game was stagnating after 3 years with only tweaks here and there. HoT progressed the game and set foundations to further that progression in the future.
Also remember most of the changes listed are in response to community feedback. So it isn’t Anet “messing” things up, it is changes made in collaboration with its playerbase.
Final boss fight is ok. But really bad design is a events before.
Follow the line, kill mobs, few bosses, collect junk. Boring. TD events, for example, much more better.
I did really enjoy all the lead in events for TD. The meta finale i have never seen attempted, but the storytelling in the indidual event chains leading in was pretty good.
The later areas aren’t quite as bad, at least not as consistently. It’s the extra detail from the leaves etc, high density of smoke smoke and vertical scale of the map. They released updated specs for HoT before release, I just can’t remember if they were higher than GW2.
It’s taken a lot of playing with settings to find sweet spots for the HoT zones
I use it alongside a focus as my secondary set, with Greatsword and shroud the primary attacks naturally (although I also keep a sceptre and warhorn handy in my inventory.) Is it optimum? No, but it has a couple of complimentary skills like the chill on focus 5 and retaliation on axe 3. Axe 2 also generates a nice amount of life force (12%) for your shroud. Most people will find better options I’m sure, but it works for my needs.
The Axe + focus skins I use compliments the look I went to, so ofc that is a prime consideration too
For context I only pve.
There are, I am told, significant dialogue changes for Sylvari in the final instances. I wont say any more for spoiler purposes and since I found this out from Guild chatter earlier this evening, so it wouldn’t be firsthand info.
Well spotted. Completely missed that.
Yes alt + left click should split stacks
