Maybe a Bunny Ear or two.
One and a half won’t hurt the economy too bad.
But my eyes.
Cover them with your cape
I am massively impressed you made the Tempest ring work.
er…was it supposed not to?
I mean work in a fasihon sense. To me it looked wrong and out of place when I tried it on various combinations, but your combination works really well visually
You don’t need to ever step foot into Tangled Depths to get your elites maxed. Sure it speeds things up, but 100% core map HP + 4 HPs from VB is enough. So Anet aren’t forcing anyone to do it.
As for the map, well it’s certainly maze like and messy and I do understand why ppl hate it. I like it in some ways for being more jungle like, however as a gameplay zone it can be very heavy going.
Auric Basin + Verdant Brink in addition to a few more HPs give you enough for a full elite spec even with zero % world completion. My (completed) herald literally never stepped foot in Tangled Depths. Don’t even need the old world.
You’re right – any combination. My point was that TD wasn’t needed, you can do it in other ways

Or an actual in game model of the Colin Johanson Hype Train
Taimi. Best VA, best dialogue. They are doing a good job of developing her character and personality without going overboard as well.
Probably my favourite Asura since Vekk, voiced by the always excellent Maurice LaMarche.
My guess is some awesome Guild Hall decoration
Pirate is probably a good clue since Black Pearl is Jack Sparrows ship..
I’m all for this as long as once both have got their legendaries, they then have to duel each other with them
On mounts
Wearing their Anet logo capes
Where did you get that Jormag is female?
Wiki quotes,
Though its gender is unknown, Jormag is referred to as male by the Sons of Svanir
I can only answer the first rwo questions.
Precursors for the new legendaries are craftable once only, do not drop and are account bound so cannot be sold
“I” wouldn’t have charged into enemy territory and shouted “fire” at a random bit of the jungle with no plan.
“I” may have even spotted the big smoky effect over Dragon Stand and fired on that area instead.
Maybe many things could have happened and we may not have won, however I imagine The Pact would be in a better shape right now.
Whilst it was Trahearnes fault the first attempt failed so miserably in that prologue cutscene, it was poor writing what occured since he is actually an intelligent NPC. Even without military training, what he did was stupidity and out of character to what he should have done.
There’s a lot of commotion going around about whether Sylvari have kittenes or not.
It was a gift though. I promised to do map completion with the cat and that’s what I did. And it went well, more or less.. cat wasn’t really focussed..
That’s one seriously evil looking cat. I’d call an exorcist if I were you…
That sounds suspiciously like a bug/oversight, in the fact that they overlooked it requires failed events to spawn a requirement for a collection. They have stated many times failing events should not be rewarded.
I’d report it via the bug tools, although if they do make a change, it wont be something they alter for a while I’d suspect.
I am 100% in favour of any enhancements to Southson, especially story related, new events or any of your suggestions.
Ascended is recommended was what they said. They are not designed so that you must have them though, just expect them to be more balanced towards ascended as the raids progress.
I am on the 64-bit client and STILL crashing 2 out of 3 times in the Dragon Stand meta event. It is super frustrating. Is it mainly a graphics problem? (aka, if I lower my graphics settings, I won’t crash anymore?)
It can help yes, although I’d advise not to alter them mid meta. I have done that and insta crashed a few times.
Yes, very useful thread. Thank you.
Can I ask – for eles, is there no hard cc on any other weapon but staff or focus?
Updraft on Air dagger 5 launches foes
Earthquake on Earth dagger 4 should knockdown
Warhorn Tidal Surge knocks back I think
I imagine it will become quite a comprehensive list if the OP does decide to update for every skill/weapon
I am massively impressed you made the Tempest ring work.
I think that they’re complaining about some vistas being part of a JP. I can’t remember any that were and there certainly were some in the core game so I don’t know what the issue is.
They are complaining about the verticality, the jp nature and that they feel the new map design is beauty over substance. The vista comment is comparative rather than literal.
Regardless, the op is unconstructive and I find little to agree with or support.
My warrior mains mace and shield. That gives access to 3 interrupts, enough to break most breakbars on unscaled up mobs.
Dps is poor, but very useful in support like this.
Useful thread
Sounds like you need to spend you mastery point to unlock the mastery line you are on
Open up the mastery menu (click on the xp bar is quickest) and click on the unlock button next to the mastery which is full of xp (at this point it is probably gliding level 1)
Please no. Just take a second and look at what someone is already capable of without even using extra slots….
Someone gave the idea on Reddit of using 6 like extra aura/effect slots… Well if your wanting that then it’d be possible to get this combo..
1. Frostfang Aura (smokey cloud)
2. Howler Aura (smokey cloud aura that stacks on frostfangs, I can prove it)
3. Nightfury (bat aura, also stacks on above 3)
4. Kamohoali Aura (underwater bubble aura, Does stack currently now, I can prove it)
5. Black Refractor (just to turn everything pitch black and more annoying)
6. Queen Bee (to add a bit more non sense and sounds)Yes these actually do all currently stack but just for an example of how annoying it can get…
Any ideas of combos let me know I can test everything, I have each refractor, Nightfury, Queen Bee, and all the legendaries.
Hylek colour changing potion maybe?
Maybe it wore a hood and sunglasses to hide its identity!
The thing that bothers me about the egg is that Glint had a child in GW1, but Gleam hasn’t been mentioned at all by anyone since his name was revealed. Is he even still alive? Did the devs just forget?
There was speculation it was Gleam who gave the Master the egg.
Some have even speculated Gleam to be Mr E
There is some truth to what you are saying and I understand the feeling that stems from the 2 fights, however;
- Zhaitan was killed by the Pact. Without the combined forces of the Pact, we wouldn’t have got into Arah, nor would such a mighty ship have been built with the capability to take him down.
- The physical fight against Mordremoth still requires an entire map to join forces with Pact forces to defeat him
I think the way the story skipped over the Dragon Stand meta contributed to the feel, plus how it felt like the defeat of the Dragon was secondary to rescuing our captured comrades. The Pact have played a significant part though.

Ah yes good point, that makes more sense
Perhaps the Forgotten never encountered the DSD minions hence why they had no template to make a minion for the challenge.
Or they may be unable to exist on land or in the context of the challenge.
Been playing since launch, bought HoT too, and I’m an avid fan (just my credentials.
).
IF you are an F2P player, then yes.
IF you already bought GW2, then not so much.
Why? Cause compared to the core game HoT ads very little content. The story is poorly written, you will probably only use 1-2 of the elite specializations. You will enter a guild hall to use the scribe station.
Its not that you shouldent buy it, but its not worth the asking price, in my opinion. If your not in a rush, maybe wait for a discount.
Actually most people don’t say the story is poorly written. Many people have praised it. It might be worth watching Wooden Potatoes review and make up your own mind.
To me, this is the best written any Guild Wars 2 story has been. It’s short though, and there are a few things that weren’t fleshed out, but the writing and particularly the delivery is pretty high compared to the rest of the story in the game.
Correct. The story is much better written than previous stories. However, the length of story, the significant omissions and a 2 year build up for a very quick culmination, saddened me.
I do not regret paying for the collectors edition of the game at all, but for all the positives, I have probably more criticisms than I do about the core game.
- i like the challenging difficulty
- i do not like the reliance on metas which result in too split a population
- i like the masteries
- i actually would have preferred more gating behind them. I admit to being a minority here
- gliding is awesome
- obtainable gliding skins in game is non existant
- well written story, with vastly improved dialogue and VA
- well under half the length id have expected an expac story to be
- loving elite specs
- graphically it is the most detailed area
- graphically too intensive, meaning changing settings between core and expac
- some interesting new lore
- not enough focus on existing lore
- Guild Halls are a welcome addition
- Not well tailored to small guilds imo
- Precursor collections are welcome
- Many are bugged (should get fixed over time though)
- Raids bring a new dimension to play
- too early to criticise, altho I hope no significant story is locked behind them
Just some points to consider. They are not gospel and do not reflect the opinions of all.
They are one of my favourite mobs in the jungle. They have massively reduced health pools versus other mobs, but they force me to stay on my toes. Many a time I’ve been too casually minded and walked into a stray shot or got into a bad habit with not dodging – both resulting in punishment.
I do however, thoroughly enjoying reflecting their snipe back at them with my shield on my Warrior. Second only in enjoyment to the near insta reflect kill when Karka try and gank me with their projectile attacks.
If memory serves me, they are actually a toned down version of how they were in beta
I hope you did the truffle shuffle at the end.
Trash my warbler? I think not…
- It’s a twelve-fluted double barrelled S-Mart’s top of the line. You can find this in the music department. That’s right, this sweet baby was made in Jaka Itzl, Verdant Brink. Retails for about 109.95g. It’s got a walnut stock, cobalt-blue steel, and a clear tune. That’s right… shop smart: shop S-Mart… You got that?
Now I swear, the next one of you Mordrem even touches me…
It is something they want to do, but as said above, it is not a promised feature. I believe a dev answered only last week that there is no further update on a replyable S1 at this time.
That comparison chart to the Enterprise is pretty cool. I remember how in awe of his appearance I was that first time, regardless of the mechanics of the fight.
Also, in terms of the OP’s title. Father Ted explains it pretty well

Gratz!
Btw..good choice of legendary to go for. I love my Kraitkin!
It works very well at keeping mordrem off NPCs in Silverwastes.
I like the skill, but it has little all round use beyond the (admittedly great) fun of flinging things around mindlessly…
The defending event near Tequatl where the heart is. That gets several waves of krait which I “think” might be risen. WHen scaled up, you def get veterans. Worth a look maybe
Also, some risen krait at the Teq event will drop loot, like crafting mats. It is possible the Veterans there will drop what you need.
Areyns suggestion seems solid though
Yeah I did, had to kill it for the collection as well…
And I need a RISEN one not a normal one.
Yeah I know, I re-edited my post almsot immediately since I posted the wrong info.
Have you tried the normal champ krait bosses? I only mention them because there have been some typos in the collection tooltips and “risen” might be an error.
I presume you have tried Straits of Devastation already? I can’t remember if there are any there, but it seems like the right place to find a least a vet one underwater.
They did publish the specs for HoT before release, so they aren’t really keeping anything secret.
Whilst it is annoying I have to make setting changes, they have been open about HoT being more intensive and they are pushing the limits of memory usage more than before (hence the recent 64bit beta client)
Yeah I’ve found a few so far. One in Verdant Brink and a couple in Auric, including the one who you jam along with.
A very cool little addition with great music to boot!
A lot of crashes are out of memory related, hence why the beta 64bit client was released for download this week.
Speech, speech
They have already stated SAB will come back and a sizeable population would like to see its return. Personally I can’t wait for its return.
Remember SAB appeals to the nostalgia group of us who did and still enjoy that style of play as well as what GW2 offers. It isn’t a mode that will have an affect on someones gameplay if they choose to avoid it, so it really isn’t an issue to have it back in game.
Looks like it is a bug and one well documented on the forums. It’s not a guaranteed bug though, I was lucky enough not to expereince it.
You will need the first line of Exalted and Nuhoch (poss Itzl too, I forget) to progress the story.
Personally I got gliding 1 & 2 and mushrooms finished first before I did those. Updraft is more useful outside of story stuff imo.
There is no trick, although there are “farming spots” (HP trains, dungeons for Tyria Masteries). It took me a week to get to 16 with a casual mindset – ie doing early story on multiple toons and events as and when they came up, It only becomes a grind if you focus on levelling the mastery. If you just play all aspects of the game, you will quickly level multiple masteries early on.
I haven’t got the achievement for the 1 kill I had. Others around me on the island indicated they didn’t either.
15 years in one job, kudos Gaile! I’m lucky if I don’t storm out of a job within a year lol
