Similar bug like last year (wrong music in a SAB area).
The starting area in 201 plays the music which should only be heard when being on the raft. Last year it played the music of the area after the raft (the Hillbilly Hoedown), which makes more sense.
On another note, it’s still easy to get stuck in the rainbows of the rainbow pooping clouds – just happen to be behind them and it makes you get stuck in the appearing rainbow trail

Yep, saw it aswell. Since I didnt know the original price, I quickly thought this is a ripoff or I somehow already bought a reduced one…
Additionally to the “fake” Lake Doric chest it also gives a “Chantry of Secrets” chest for me as I just noticed again.

This still seems buggy. I don’t even have new oozes spawning, and also no “Ooze Generator” to destroy (the black circle thing is there, but no yellow object to destroy). S. attached screenshot.
Never had this issue with my Herald, but with my Ranger, it didn’t work two times in a row now. Trying third soon…

Because bugs are an invasive insect and once you thought you killed them in one place, they actually just moved to another.

Hey guys, did you reintroduce this bug? It was fixed some months ago IIRC.
The miniatures always disappear when you start gliding, and they don’t reappear when landing on ground.
You said you fixed that once, making them reappear as soon as you land, but now it’s back again for me.
One customer once seriously and non-sarcastically asked me “Why don’t you program without errors so the updates have no issues?”
Did most of the stuff yet, though missing some story achievements yet.
- The map and everything on it is awesome!
- The final boss battle in the story is not. As previously said – you get put into a much too small room with by far too many spots to avoid and a mob knocking you back all the time, then having to collect those bloodstone shards, then throwing them at the right target, then use this magic skill thing (forgot the name, lel), then fight the mob – annoying as hell.
Yeah, you get it once Wintersday starts, and another time on 1st January.

Yeah I checked that. As said I didn’t change anything there and VSync is still controlled by the game itself. Forcing it has no effect.
Last time I was targetting another player and he targeted me back, just out of fun and not be the “targeted idiot” for too long time. We even did that while jumping around, so it was quite a fun challenge with him!
I did not realize this actually causes trouble for people with the combat assist option as I always have that one off.

Previously, I could use VSync perfectly in windowed fullscreen, and the game never rendered more than 60 FPS (my screen refreshes at 60 Hz) and I had a very smooth gameplay (I tested it by looking up in the sky and rotating the camera, and checking the FPS in the options). It was as smooth as when playing in real fullscreen.
Since the 16.12 AMD drivers, the game renders far above 60 FPS (up to 80) when I look up and rotate my camera to check for VSync. It seems like it’s not working anymore though it’s checked in the options and I have checked my AMD settings too for any changes (none). Funny is that the game sticks to 63 FPS when not rotating the camera, but when rotating, it likes to jump to 76 FPS or more.
Only fullscreen is smooth, but fullscreen horribly sucks in GW2 (flickering black after loading screens gives me eye cancer and switching back / forth to it is extremely slow).
Windowed fullscreen is useless now too as it’s incredibly choppy and unenjoyable game play (feels like playing in jumpy 30-40 FPS all the time).
I have an AMD R9 390. Anyone else experiencing similar problems?
why not race based instances so everyone can make up other ‘issues’ which make it ‘impossible’ for him to finish the jp?

I wonder if slow PCs still get desynced giant snowballs. It was an issue with my old PC. You were knocked away where snowballs haven’t rolled to yet. My new PC doesn’t seem to have that problem (my old one had crappy FPS drops all over).
Other than that, not many changes to me. But I also thought the presents are easier now (though quickly jumping over the middle path is still the safest way).
Yeah, I can confirm you definitely draw your weapon. You can hear it when a new instance opens, the sound of 10 sword blades clinging as the cinematic starts!
Also don’t read release notes, they inform you about what’s going on.
Seriously, this topic is even about an external issue, why is it still open yet.
Completing the JP takes approx. 1:30 to 2:00 minutes. In a round of 30 minutes, that rarely resets you. Trying and not getting to the finish of course takes even shorter intervals.
Last year I got stuck in an instance after it should’ve been closed (we were actually about to be put into a new instance but just got the “world full” error and stayed in the current one). No more timer, no more scores, but farming presents (and karma) still worked. That was nice indeed!
I didn’t like it before. It looked like the other legend was disabled and I couldn’t swap to it (of course, trying taught me better).
Since the rightmost legend is always the active one, it doesn’t matter to me if it’s changed now.

The same answer of me as every year:
- Use routes with less people. Also gives you a timing advantage in which you don’t have to wait for snowflakes to regenerate.
- Use a big character yourself. You don’t need to have any level so you can just create one.
- Wait a second or two to let them overtake you. Snowflakes don’t dessolve as quickly as you might think.
- Norns/Charrs have it harder themselves not seeing much, so there’s no reason to play the victim.
- Focus on the JP and not the others. After trying the JP 50 times you can do it with your subconsciousness.

This typically happens if you stand in narrow corners or spots. The game somehow pads a character away from walls if you relog and sometimes that pushes you through walls or grounds. there are indeed actually several spots in LA where this can be purposefully exploited, but i don’t know of one near your screenshot.
Yeah, I always forget about it too after it happened, but when it happens, it’s really annoying.
As said, it is not required to change existing behavior when you’re not rotating the camera. But while you do and the cursor is invisible, then it should simply not scroll or zoom UI, and always zoom the camera instead.
This is not really a “bug”, but a UI flaw which annoys me since I’m playing this game and I guess it’s there since the game was released.
If you rotate the camera by holding down the right mouse button, the cursor gets hidden. If you now want to zoom the camera by scrolling the mouse wheel, and the invisible cursor is actually “above” the minimap, it zooms the minimap instead of the game view. The same happens to lists – if the cursor is above one, the list gets scrolled. The camera zoom is not changed, which was the originally intended action.
Additionally funny is that the game somehow “knows” where the cursor is while rotating the camera, but if you release the right button, it appears where you originally started to hold it down, making the UI interaction even more “confusing”.
I don’t think I find anyone here who wants to interact with the UI using the mouse cursor while the mouse cursor is hidden. Also, camera rotation cannot be started with the cursor positioned over the minimap or a list on purpose, since the right click interacts with the minimap or list then.
Can there be a UI fix or at least an option to prevent the mouse wheel from interacting with the UI while the cursor is hidden (e.g. the camera being rotated)? I guess it should be possible for the UI to find out when the cursor is not visible and then just let the actions go “through” as if no UI component handled the scroll.

This is what I meant (see pic) It says I have done all 4 hearts but I have actually done none. Maybe you guys should check if it’s the same on yours, As I think this may have something to do with it.
That’s not a bug. Anet recently changed the way those hearts work. If you did them once, the global map heart counter counts them as done forever. It was deemed as a bug it didn’t before.
If you do this with the Ember Bay ones too now, you’ll see the global map heart counter also sees them as done forever.
It would just be great to buy the kitten elixir from the vendors after you completed the story.
The bug’s still there. I get no suet drops nor can I buy the firestone nor does the grawl offer me one upon building this ugly thing for him.
I “restarted” and “continued” the story several times and tested over with that, but that didn’t change anything.
Just tried it from my side, not working either in the exact same way =3
EDIT: Just retried it 5 minutes later, and it suddenly worked.

You mean like FPS drops for several / many seconds?
Did you change something else on your PC, approx. at the same time of the Rising Flames release? It feels a little like an external issue if it can appear anywhere.
Well if you mean the achievements under “Historical” – they will not update. It only shows the progress you made last year as those achievements only worked last year (AFAIK).
If you mean the ones under “Festivals”, they should update, as they are the ones for Halloween 2016.
I wished that at least the level 80 boost thing would have had that option, but noh.

Ahh, I see! That’s interesting and good to know. Probably makes it easier to find the spots at which you turn into a red / invincible anomaly.

The actual collision mesh of the wood bars supporting the Lava Lounge Bar in Ember Bay aproximetaly looks like in the attachment, they extend far over the ocean.
Maybe you want to fix that ;D
