Those should be permanent. I wouldn’t worry about it. Recently all content they release is permanent content.
Oh…….a lot……trust me…the amount of grind it will take for u to unlock those skins will be close to Moises’s splitting the waves, from a biblical point of view.
Moses?
Yea sry…in my language it has that extra “i” and misspelled it by accident.
Oh…….a lot……trust me…the amount of grind it will take for u to unlock those skins will be close to Moises’s splitting the waves, from a biblical point of view.
First u need to grind tokens, which are effected by RNG..u will need a ton of them for all recipes.
Then you have to grind some extra special rare item like the ones we needed for the weapon skins in Dry Top (80% sure) – fossilized whatever but different name…same 0.00000000001% dropchance.
Then u will need to grind T6 mats both for the runes & for the armor itself.
THEN after u make the carapace set, u need to find something else to make it look shiny.
(edited by Rebound.3409)
RNG and extreme farming will ruin it. Too bad, the armor actually looks interesting and might bring some people back…but the amount of sensless grind + RNG will kill it as any content they put in. Maybe there’s another one of dem’ “legit exploit areas”
I don’t mind 0 information if what i get after that “0 information” is something consistent both in quality and in QUANTITY.
No gobble….that would truly be racist.
The more hope and belief you have the lower chances you have.
@Don haha. Thumbs up!
so many white people feeling offended for me.
I always laugh. Though I’d prefer you give me money instead of telling me what I should or shouldnt feel bad about..
As if the big bad white people have money to just give away. We all have similar problems yo :P
- 6-8h-ish?! from now
- I don’t know exactly WHEN the items will be transfered to your mailbox. In some cases it was postponed for 1-2 days, in others some received them day 1 while others lagged out and recieved them later and so on.
As Lily said, there are builds for characters that rely on it.
The system now has more pluses then minuses overall.
I would prefer a system that attracts ppl not interested in PvE. What’s next? SM spawns Zhaitan as an upgrade?
I personally can not go over the terrible concept of them having those butterfly wing things. They turn me off completely from even considering to play that race.
Apart from guild halls (which i don’t see anything sandbox about it) and player housing there is nothing i see as needing this feature in the game.
WoW is different…their responsibility towards millions of players of literally all ages is much greater because of the numbers they have, the name they have made for themselves and so on. Plus let’s not forget the amount of money & employees they have.
Even if ANet says “we take care of our community as much as any other game and bla bla and whatever” that will not suffice if u compare it to a huge game like WoW that has both the $$ and the employees to back it up. It’s about numbers. THAT does not mean ANet is ignorant to the case tho. I only mean u can’t compare a smaller team&game to a mammoth like WoW&Blizzard/Activision. It’s like comparing your local market to IKEA. Both might have good intentions but only one has the actual power to fully control the problem

@phys i am sure u will find this strange but the N word for me does not imply being racist. This is something that effects specifically black americans. On the other side there are other more brutal ways of racism that take place outside the US, which i personally consider racist and am completely against. The things that happen in non-US countries makes the N word look clownish really.
Even non US black people don’t take the N word as seriously as americans do…but i can understand why from a historical point of view.
That being said i don’t use the N word myself because i don’t discriminate people based on color, i rather discriminate them based on their level of stupidity.
If u think about it, the very existence of this thread promotes racism indirectly by putting the color of a skin in the spotlight (may it be it good or bad).
I suggest closing this thread. It goes no were honestly. The report has been made ingame. It’s more then enough. No need to put spotlight on colors and risk making more harm trying to do a good deed.
PS. Personally i have not once seen any racist mapchat. But i have seen stuff in mapchat that would make u lose all hope in humanity…and it addressed all colors….not just one.
(edited by Rebound.3409)
But i like using the n word a lot of times. I use “noob” all the time trolololo
The “dinner is served?” one made me giggle a bit.
It’s good to give people who want to wear capes the option. I imagine it would be a backpiece..so it’s already a toggle on/off thing. Capes are part of the fantasy scheme and if ppl are into that i think it should be implemented.
On the long run a cape is better then a growing hentai tentacle on your back. Let’s be honest here.
Yes it would be a challenge to make capes..but running away from a challenge is exactly like giving up. Specially considering this “challange” is really minor compared to all other challenges u have. Blaming charr models (ones u yourselves made) is just sad for u and your image honestly.
(edited by Rebound.3409)
Then my bad i admit, i didn’t understand correctly what he was referring too, specially because i don’t follow reddit at all.
Yes they are definitely inconsistent and this goes to show u how things are handled inside their offices. It’s chaotic.
@arkclaw yea i’ve been trying to use those, i knew about them after so many 100% maps i’ve done. Problem is it’s no were near the efficiency of the instance where it’s just you (no other players/trolls) and a ton of critters. But yes from a non-instance pov those are among the best sadly.
U get a LOT of them from the bags u use them to farm.
A fiasco i am slowly getting used to with each event they do.
Almost all exploitable spots in arah have received changes in such a way they discourage people from doing it. Some spots like penitent, have been changed literally over night after someone opened a topic on the forums.
This INSTANCE (not open world at all…what are u talking about) has not received any change.
Even if there are profitable spots left in Arah, they can be accessed by everyone…compared to this event where, if done as INTENDED, u are automatically at a disadvantage PERMANENTLY.
Sry but i feel like u have no clue what u are talking about OR u didn’t make a good comparison.
(edited by Rebound.3409)
In a player driven economy, the demand of an item surpassing the supply generated by the playerbase will increase the value of it. While there are some items in these bags that are not based around cosmetics (the low drop rate of T6 mats), the price of these bags is directly relative to the cosmetic value that is being placed on them. While currently profitable, that profit is derived directly from other players and their willingness to play a higher price. In essence, this is a transfer of wealth not wealth generation.
As far as this specific spawn of ambients is concerned, it’s defiantly one of the faster ones to farm. As long as the playerbase is willing to pay for that item, and the demand remains higher than the supply, it will be profitable. This is not an exploit, it’s the playerbase saying “thank you for farming this, because we didn’t want to”.
I take this extremely offensive considering people who did not know about this exploit u call legit, and finished the event, are no longer able to farm it. I am part of the people who wanted to farm it and don’t fall under your quota “thank you for farming this, because we didn’t want to”. I wanted to.
At least e honest to yourself and admit u guys at anet literally didn’t care enough to take out the rats from the instance….because we all know, even the ppl who profited and made tons of gold for free (thumbs up to u guys) that this exploited has effected the game more negatively then positively on the long run.

GW2’s new modus operandi seems to be recruiting those who were scared off by the difficulty of Facebook games.
This made me laugh as much as it made me cry when i realized how true it is.
Others buy in mass green items for the essences of luck.
Regardless of what cool name they come up with for the water dragon, he will still be known as bubbles for 90% of the community.
It’s because when I level up in real life, that happens.
(my shockwave is larger in real life though)
Are u “level 80” yet?
They already have the crazy power of making any player who dares to think of making a legendary go bankrupt.
Squippopotamus and it’s “general” is a hentai tentacle. No cartoonish big eyed female will travle the scurvy sees till this monster is put down.
Are the exchange rates still influenced by transactions? For ex right now 800 gems = 110g roughly. In a few weeks will i see 800 gems = “1 coper”?
(edited by Rebound.3409)
After months of doing nothing, i can’t wait for my doze of 30 min content. They will be the most epic 30 minutes of content.
Ideally for ANet is to make both EU/NA and China content be the same. Ex, if LA is destroyed in EU/NA, it’s also destroyed in China…call it synchronization. This way..any update they do for one zone, it automatically applies to the other 2.
This way no one wins or looses. It’s the same for everyone.
I dunno in what situation China is atm content wise…like LA being destroyed..or scarlet or whatever. For them to make it like on NA/EU would mean to skip/sacrifice S1 or make it extremely short in order for China to catch up to NA/EU content wise.
It’s practically GW2 with better everything if u watch the closed beta tests + FAQs and etc. Better characters+classes, much better graphics, wvw (in which capturing castles matters as the owners can influence shop taxes/prices), pvp, pve, gvg, guild halls, housing, really awesome made combat system – action like….1 time buy with no p2w items cash shop (similar to gw2). So in essence it’s GW2.2 If u like the GW style u will find that one pretty similar to it.
Considering it’s a 1 time buy like GW2, it’s more then worth it. Personally i like what i’ve seen so far and it would be a great transition for me as a GW player. Don’t expect everyone to like it.
(edited by Rebound.3409)
@Beldin wait for next year then Black Desert
Do the stats of the jewel get added to the base stats of the item u put it on?
For ex if i have knights stats on an item, after i put that jewel on, it will have knights + celestial?
As ugly as that sounds, pretty much sums it up. GW2 relies strictly on the work of mainly the old team that made it and most left ANet. It is a fact that 80% of the game we have now is the game we had on first day release. Compare all content they added so far with the content the game was released with and u will see a major difference in quality&style.
What they’ve done since start is constantly add cash shop items, and tweak the shop. Most content is there.
At least that’s the way i personally see the game. Some might see it in another way..but i honestly don’t give a f about how others see something i am playing/experiencing. I care mainly about my own experience in a game ^.^ no offense.
TESO for the story…it takes a ton to wrap your head around it (in a good way) specially if u are a first timer in this game and don’t know stuff. Gameplay is interesting but not the best….questing is pretty fun and keeps me in the game. Overall the game offers me stuff that makes me want to play. Not the case in GW2.
altho many don’t consider it a true mmo – DESTINY, gameplay wise it’s one of the most fun games out there. Story wise…well….let’s not talk about it shall we?
These are the 2 i CURRENTLY play and like more then GW2 atm and which actually exist. As upcoming games…well that’s another story and no need to go into detail. Let’s just say the future is bright ^.^.
Even if i told u i don’t like any mmo, how does that mean i am in the wrong thread? I am complaining about an mmo that should have delivered and did not any any way shape or form..and saying i shouldn’t be here doesn’t deny what i said lol. It’s actually a cheap way of evading.
Now u could say those games are to young and i should see how i feel about them 2 years from now as i do with GW2. That is true…but considering GW2 offered little to nothing in 2 years i am sure it won’t be that hard for them to catch up (in a good way). Both of them already offered faster fixes + dlc’s..actual content that keeps me interested and already announced the next things.
WoW (i hate it) is an mmo that even if i don’t play it, offers regular huge content updates/expansions. The fact that i don’t like it’s style or i don’t play it, doesn’t mean i shouldn’t acknowledge it as a top mmo which offers players tons of content. I would really have to be dumb to discard an mmo just because of personal tastes.
So yes the examples are there. And these are my personal examples…some have others.
(edited by Rebound.3409)
U can google search the puzzles in GW2 or go on dulfy.net and search for them. She makes tutorials for pretty much everything GW2 related. Look at them, see which ones are easier for u and do them.
As Chameleon said they need to be DIFFERENT. If u do the same puzzle 12 times, it will only count as 1.
U gave half a post there. What u needed to do was to also say things about GW2 that could counter your own examples. The fact u didn’t like an mmo from your list or didn’t invest in it…does NOT make it a bad mmo.
GW2 was an mmo entertaining for the first 2 months at best. After that constant rehashed events, temporary content, increasing grind together with decreasing loot….gambling & gemstore features galore…30 min worth of content and the list goes on.
GW2 had a beautiful start..a beautiful world..models..landscapes…everything about it was beautiful but in time …well…here we are. The only content we got in 2 years were 2 maps, 1 recently which is good but a lagfest….fractals which are annoying & boring….the nr of ppl who hate it or don’t care about it is much greater then the ppl who actually do it and like it (not as a chore)…..we got EoTM which is a map dedicated to casuals…all u see when u go there is ktrains…to the point it’s extremely boring (too bad for the artwork they put in it)….and a few maps in PvP, slow fixes, few UI tweaks that were way overdue. Other then this? every bit of content is cash shop content.
Personally i still have a gram of optimism in me and think they will actually deliver next year…..but if they don’t next year will be the last year in GW2. They have to give us not 1..but more then 3-4 maps, new mobs (started with this LS), new dungeons with new rewards (not what anet said “well..we added a few paths to the already existing paths. We gave u what u want”..no..that’s a major bullkitten that’s not considered by anyone a new dungeon….it’s considered a new PATH of an already existing dungeon with already existing rewards and already existing mobs & mostly already existing mechanics) new classes new races new weapons (and not on gemshop). I have literally been reduced to just doing dailies in an mmo, because of lack of things to do other then grind like a slave. That’s sad for an mmo.
If there’s no other mmo better then this the decision is very easy, i won’t play mmos till either a developer not only makes, but continues making a proper mmo or i will just quit them all together considering how much of a fail this genre has become over the years. There are tons of multiplayer games out there that are extremely entertaining.
(edited by Rebound.3409)
no more story plz lol . i am drowning in it
i wish they would focus on wvw pvp and classes
How can u drown in 30 min content every 1 month with 2-3 months break inbetween? There are only 2 possibilities. U either are completely new to the game and thus u didn’t discover anything, or u are a vet player who doesn’t care about story which makes it normal for u to drown in it….that doesn’t mean the content is “drownable in” tho.
The game is stale. ANet from my pov is moving at an incredibly slow passe. Understandable because they are a very small team from what i know. If they are not, it’s infuriating actually.
Anyway…all i know is apart from events which take like 30 min to do and this halloween event which is just a huge grindfest, i almost never play it anymore. Nothing to do…or if there is something to do it’s so grindy and repetitive i don’t consider it as something to do.
Other games came out and others are still to come. I gave up on GW2 living up to it’s potential. For me it’s clear that either anet or ncsoft don’t want it to evolve at the speed the community wants it and is expected of it to do. GW2 indeed changed into Gemshop Wars 2.
Honestly…considering how things have been so far, i am actually scared of how a proper expansion would look like for GW2. Think about it for a second.
(edited by Rebound.3409)
Pretty well summed up Tree.
Why i personally see it as an exploit is because people who did the quest as intended have no more access to this method of farming, while others who discovered profit daily from it with the possibility of finishing the story in the very last day.
So people who play the content as intended get a big shaft from all points of view. If that’s the way ANet rewards players who play their content how it was intended, be sure i will wait for the next exploit and profit from it as much as i can…because that’s clearly ANet’s intention.
100 pb + 50 skillpoints for that skin?)……even if u sell it at 70g u still have no profit…on the contrary.
U guys at anet sure are funny sometimes … next time if u want to copy D3, please make proper skins :P
LS should have been a buffer between expansions. Right now it looks like it’s the main story instead of a big side story that leads to an expansion.
That’s not impossible honestly. Even if u are low level with just 1 char, u have the labirinth fast levels + tons of scrolls that fall from the bags. Levelups are extremely easy in GW2..and accessible for all.
Hope it’s nothing that requires a huge amount o grind like 1k karka shells, or it doesn’t require u to throw every bit of gold u have on this.
This should be about fun not about endless grind-gold sink IMO
-His resolve hardened, one more attempt, he starred at yet another dulled blade, one more chance for results…this wasn’t going to be fun.-
-Two months he’d been here.-Yea i know, was referring to hardcore extremely rare mats grind in a very limited time, kinda of thing.
I’m sorry to crush your hopes, but it’s probably something to grind for.
If u find yourself in an almost empty map, that probably means u are in an “overflow” even if it’s mega servers. The main maps are already capped with players. Usually big organized guilds.
I don’t see it dieing just because of the amount of gold u make & fun u have in big groups.
Hope it’s nothing that requires a huge amount o grind like 1k karka shells, or it doesn’t require u to throw every bit of gold u have on this.
