They look at the punctuation on your sentence.

If theres no punctuation or its ended with a period, its just a normal gesture. (already inside the game if you look at npcs)
If theres an exclaimation mark at the end, they do a shout gesture (Already inside the game, warriors shout)
If theres a question mark at the end, they do a shrug. (Already inside game, remember mad king says and the floating griswirl)

Lip flap doesnt need to mimic whats actually being written, they just need to flap your lips.

Sentence length just determines how long your lips flap.

So the thief goes up to the warrior. “Why doesn’t anyone like me,” he asks.
“Hmm,” growls the warrior. Maybe it’s because you don’t charge headfirst into the enemy. I always lead the charge into battle and everyone likes me. Go ask that dev over there before I crush you with my superior damage."

The thief gives one final sigh and approaches the dev.
“Why doesn’t anyone like me?” he asks.
The dev puts down his coffee, slides his plate of cookies to the side and looks the thief square in the eye.

“Dude.” He says. “You’re a thief.”

Hey Devs,

I noticed you added the lip flap thing recently.
I would suggest if it was possible for you guys to make it so that when you type (apon hitting enter) your avatar’s lips flap and your hands do a gesture.

I’ve noticed this is the case with many NPCs hanging around in town and if this can be implemented onto the players too.

This would make Machinima’s a lot easier to produce.

Ghost Eater has a tendency to bug horribly. I’ve seen him stay immobile for MINUTES at a time, standing just one meter outside a trap doing absolutely nothing. Same goes for trying to convince its moronic AI to follow you into a trap.

This fight is nothing compared to the Spider Queen. I’ve been in groups that have aced the Ghost Eater but wiped hardcore at the overpowered poison nonsense of the first fight.

The people you pugged with are just stupid.

Side-note: speaking on behalf of colour-blind people, the green and yellow beams look identical. I have to wait to see if an ooze has been lifted before I know whether to use skill #1 or 2. If ArenaNet could change these to red and green it would be a lot easier for us to manage.

How is the Spider Queen hard? Granted I have wiped there before, I tend not to last too long when I’m the only left, and one other time when I managed to get myself immobilised on a poison field, then Queeny spat more poison right on me for good measure. People just don’t understand you have to kill the ADDS first, I swear I’m the only one running around cleaning them up.

And turrets, dont forget turrets -.-

Generally IMO you want to go with a nordic sounding name, as it seems to fit Norn lore the closest. Some examples would be

Garulf Icebreaker
Ellandra Danedottir
Rygar Hammergard

etc.etc. This is just my opinion, really you should name your character what sounds right to you

Someone confirm this, because every time I’ve done this so far, the Ghost Eater always seems to deaggro after he turns back, allowing you to not sweat filling up another trap if they’re empty.

I can confirm there are times he spits at you and times he aggros you, but this is because people milk him too close

In addition to this, depending on the amount of oozes around, and their proximity to the traps and the Ghost Eater trying to kill you unless it bugs out for a moment, this requires coordination that simply isn’t possible with the in-game chat system.

You kidding me right?
If hes attacking you thats even better, that means hes gonna walk towards you.
So lead him to the trap, milk him and pick off the oozes inside the trap.

You get 60 per path per day.
Each dungeon has 3 – 4 paths
thats 180 – 240 a day

Channeled spells I can understand.
You need to see where your target is to channel a spell (on that subject also, why does channeling continue to focus when a target goes stealth?)
But for blind to affect AOE…

I’m turning an entire area into a damage zone regardless if I see you or not.

So for me to miss everything when I’m blind during an AOE is just… mind boggling.
Blind shouldnt affect AOE and AOE shouldnt affect blind.
if the next skill casted after being blinded is an AOE the Blind should stay untill you try to make a direct attack.

And if you get blinded trying to cast an AOE you shouldnt miss your AOE.

Has got to be the most gruesome means of dying in Gw2.

I really hope not. The last thing we need is them wasting time trying to make every single armor set make sense on something that is 50% horse.

Every single set of pants, boots, and more than a few chest pieces would need complete redesigns.

Oh yes and modding the boots to fit charr feet is so easy.

Why do you think you’re so important that you get to decide what the devs work on based on what you feel is more important.

Compared to redoing all armors from the ground up, yes, modifying them to fit on the feet of a race is VERY easy.

Centaurs will not happen because they are not humanoid. Period. There would be far too much extra work involved in redoing all armors.

Milk the Ghost eater with the ghost gun’s function 1

Call a ghost glob
If you see Yellow beams, you activate your green beam
If you see green beams you activate your yellow beam

Pull globs into the traps (if there are globs within an active trap, then use function 1 to pick em up and let the trap suck them in)
Lure ghost eater into the trap

Hit him hard
He turns into a ghost
Repeat process.

Yet despite me explaining how this mechanic works, I get pugs who stand around without the ghost guns.
Pugs who keep hitting him when hes still a ghost…

Its just, omg really really sad to see people struggling with such an easy mechanic.
hes not even that hard to beat.

I literally learned this watching a guild I pugged with and understood the mechanics within the time span of the first trap.

Primarily because theres no bare handed skills.

What I would like to suggest is… just give filler skills, they dont have to be used for combat.

Example
An ele with 4 attunement could have when attuned to
Fire
Hold flame – putting your hand outwards while holding a flame in your palm
Fire images – Draw random fire figures in the air
Fireworks – Shoot flares upwards and ignite the sky

Air
Sparkles – dazzle people around you with sparkles.

Earth
Summon mini earth elementals – that dont actually get into combat
Build Sandcastle

Water
Create snowman
Summon water fountain

Ranger -

Summon flock of birds – A flock of birds circles the ranger
Plant a tree – A tree grows infront of the ranger

Just random stuff that we can do with our hands.
