The current state of WvW is in dire need of help and attention from the devs. Battles that in a working game would be freaking epic is just destroyed by skill lag, server lag and culling. I can stand toe to toe with 5 enemies and just look at them while they look at me.

This is how it feels everytime a battle of more than 25 people is in it.

And what is this with the game starting to lag when a zerg is withing 10 000 units?

Its like the scene in Jurassic Park when the T-Rex footsteps makes the water move. Only here the water is lag!

So for gods sake. Give us some updates on what you are working on. We need some good news now! We don´t care if you turn of culling only to have lag and fps be worse! We don´t care if you add new features and the result of it will be more zerging cause its more efficient. Just give us some … good … news!

I want to thank lag today for being a fierce opponent. Also a nudge towards culling. You must have been recruiting. Saw alot of you today. Anyway. Lag and culling shouldnt have to team up. You are good each on your own. Also want to thank blob and blob for good fights today. And blob! kitten Hit like a truck. To the other blob and blob that was together. Good fights. I tend to rotate my weapons when doing PvE and dungeons. Especially in fractals. Scepter/dagger is lethal if you know the encounters and you know how to use them. You have very good burst. High dps. Good group support and some escapes. The best thing is that you alone can stack your group to full might with it. And while doing so, do kittenloads of damage.

You need to connect it so you need to know what the boss will do and where he will be for a full might stack chain. When mastering this elementalists can do very high amount of damage. Our main problem is autoattacks. They all suck on the scepter.

They have stated weeks ago that wvw patch is pushed one month. God! People have access to the forums just when it absolutly suits them?

The funny thing is that those fixes (lets be honest, we were to good) to elementalist will be enough for the bandwagon to choo choo away from our class and onto the next Trap rangers, beware

I bought a gift of battle for lols. Not planning a legendary. But I keep posting it in Lions Arch and ask people for what it is, this I do also for the lols.

Then I have bought some of the armor skins.

No, the one without the ability to actually look at the front page of the elementalist forums, or being able to catch up on any quotes from developers etc have shown his face here.

Elementalist has been subject for many forumthreads over the last weeks where people cry for nerfs without actually looking on how to defeat an elementalist.

Since DaPhoenix launched his guide on how to master the D/D Elementalist it became the FOTM build that old backstab thieves and 100b warriors flew to. These are players who thinks a guide is how they learn to play. These players would then run AC until they finished their kittenty PVT outfit or you will see them in Orr karma gear. These players can not harm you! If you die to one you got no one to blame but yourself! A full PVT ele does low damage, but can withstand lots of damage. Now I will tell you how to kill them.

1. Lock them down: If you can lock down the elementalist he will use his cleanses on your CC instead your conditions. He will not do much damage on you so you really dont need CC to escape etc.

2. Learn how to read their attunements: This is the “weapon switch” for any elementalist. Just as you know whats coming when a warrior brings out his greatsword you know what the D/D elementalist will do when switching to any of his 4 attunements.

Say you get him down in HP. He will either go water to heal. This is where you interupt, KB, stun etc. Or he will go air and try to escape. This is where you immobilize, roots, chills etc. Ride the Lightning do not work if immobilized, but will go on a CD!

Fire. The D/D ele burst damage. This is where you DONT immobilize him close to you. He will start with his fire charge attack. It does high damage, but he needs to hit you in the end of a short charge animation. Very easy to see, very easy to dodge. Ring of Fire. If he catches you inside it do not worry. Just dodge out of it and take no damage at all. He catches you outside of it, just go away. Cross the lines and you will apply burning to yourself and he will use Fire Grab on you!

Fire Grab. kittenty hit detection makes this easy to dodge just with movement. Stay close to the elementalist and just stay to the left or right of him. He will use right mouse button to aim his attack and it will miss cause it is so buggy! Oh. And guess what will miss aswell if you are close. Burning Speed!

Earth. Major damage can be done by Churning Earth. It is a 4 second cast time. No need to go outside of red circle since the elementalist will just Lightning Flash to your location anyway. Just stay and DPS him down while he is casting it. Use a invul, block or dodge after 4s. 10k damage avoided right there!

3. Dont fight near keeps etc. These rerollers will try to drag the fight to a keep, spawn etc so they just can Vapor Form from downstate into safety. This is stupid and needs to be nerfed and removed. I agree with everyone on that! The ability should stay, but should not be possible to move in it!

4. Let the runners run. Many classes have abilities to escape fights. Take pride in knowing that you have beaten them and done so badly. They cant even recognize your win since they think they are this super op class that can beat anything blindfolded, but they are just another NPC with loads of HP!

Then you have elementalists that have played the class and learned it, like Intigo, DaPhoenix that have all evolved into a way more offensive way of playing the D/D elementalist. We are sacrificing survivability to be the ones who down faster and we use the mobility of the D/D ele to bounce in and out of combat. In to unleash some damage, out to avoid it. This is when D/D is at it most fun. But hey, this build and gear will take alot more damage aswell. But the people who are using it actually know how to play a elementalist since we was on this train way before the influx of PVT!

ehrmagaaard!!! On that screenshot you totally have a manifistation of our entire server!! GJ putting one mans action onto the server. We have our bad seeds like every server and we do what we can to get them away. You would be more of a help if you actually came with a screenshot with some info besides a character with no guildtag or even server name..

People complaining about people being elitist, but still same people “would understand to be kicked if was a ele, engi or necro”. Is this not elitist? Confused people are confused.

People finally learned to play and from that we saw a mass ele fotm rerolling. So now you will find a handful very skilled D/D elementalists causing havoc and LOADS of Pow/Tough/Vit D/D eles that cant kill a thing, but wont die either

Prepare for a kittenstorm in this thread from raging forumwarriors though

Remove all the stupid stuff you need to buy off a npc character to use and increase food and nourishment duration time to atleast 1 hour!

The first duel is very good from both players. Never met a engineer like that. Would love to meet him, or one close to his skill. Maybe one day I like to see your duels Intigo cause you show that elementalist is more than PVT rerollers Good skill. Hope to fight you aswell one day.

It’s amusing how people can get so offended by a tier list.

People on the Internet get offended by the notion of anyone having different opinion from theirs.

People on the internet also make lists about listmakers that are good at listmaking

What happens with the list if DD ele gets a major nerf and people actually starts to understand the necro? Will take forever for DD to get “lower tier” cause of the acne crew raging over their Red Bulls!

Numbers in WvW are 1 – 3 – 5 – 10 – 20 – 25 – 30 – Blob!

Also when more than 20 you can use the mathematical awesomness of culling and multiply it by 2.339 since this will evaluate how many persons you will think it is when they cull in and out. You can then divide that by 0.3 to get the effect of NPCs and deers in the area that the game never will cull out for you. If you then are close to a area that gets attacked by NPCs you can add 10 to your final number and you will get the attackers standing infront of you!

Confusion is the new cool in WvW. It is very strong and damage from almost anything. Like Intigo says even traited dodges and heals etc! Its a zerg breaker on its own right now

Please more people come complain in our forums about how OP ele are because you got killed by one and then outrunned by another. I play a valk/knight DD ele in a 0/20/10/20/20. What happens when I attack someone is that they “OMFG ELE OP RUN”. Yes it is easy to kill you then. Someone stay fighting with their tanky builds thinking themselves gods cause they rock in a organized group, but fact is your tanky builds hardly scratch when solo. And then we have the glasscannons that unleash their entire instant win combo onto my Shocking Aura and Mist form, leaving them helpless and ready to be bursted.

These people have access to the forums and a keyboard. A fatal mistake done by life there. It is the same people who had their train of qq about 100 blades. And it is the same people that qq´ed over thieves and probably still do.

If and when the DD ele nerf come you will see these people flee of our forums and land onto the ranger forums where the evading trap ranger are gonna get his kitten bleached by new and fresh threads.

Anet also stated that engineer is getting some buffs due to the hits that class have taken the last month. So prepare your forums. Cause these people are coming and they will create threads!

Go into hero panel and switch with the arrows there. After doing it once it is fixed until it happens again in the future.

Had the same bug on guardian, warrior and thief.

Wont affect me. I am DD, but I am not a forum guide PVT DD!

I kind of like facing them again. Have had loads of fun this week thanks to them. And as it seems we are getting Aurora Glade into tier 4 again. A server I absolutely love fighting. Those guys are just awesome

I think I speak for all of Gandara when we have to say thanks to Riverside for their Hills barricade this week. Was a really great challenge and truly rallied the Gandara community to work together to get it back!

Its funny how the number of golems used in Gandaras attacks rise every day on the forums. First it was 8 – 10 golems, now we are up in 8 – 10 omegas and other golems. Atleast our golems made it to lords room. Yours hardly got to inner And that was against people charging, not Superior Arrow Carts

Lets just hope that Anet understands that these nerfs will put us even more out of the PvE in this game where we already sits on 3rd row.

Actually I saw the mesmer throwing the portal and jumping out to get ppl in. So I can asure you there was no cheat involved. As we dont care about towers, keeps and dolyaks, we did not bother.

Its amazing that it can be so boring, but still we had a great time tonight. The defenses you have at hills is just intense! And the reaction time even more. Cant be fun be the ones who sits on watch though. Still, good job on the defenses. Most stuff put down actually serve a purpose.

This is what you do when they are about to breach. Not 5 minutes before a possible attack.

Anet should just add merchants and repairs to the keeps as a standard. Hiring a second worker should not drain any supply only cost more. I want a new siege defence weapon though. I want humans that stand on the side of the doors throwing fighting dwarfs at the attackers!

If I put down a Meteor Shower it will hit 5 people.
If I use Hundred Blades into a stacked group of 10 people. How many of these people will take damage? Or just simply swinging my sword

Time to get a new siege demolish team ready. Ezekiel had a nice instant wipe of a over confident 6 catapult bay attacking team today.

The amount of siege spotted so far is already exceeding last week. What happened to the good fights :/ Kudos though to Riverside. Your 7 golem sweep on our BL this morning was hilarious.

I think this greedy part is something all small groups recognize themselves in tbh Was fighting with 4 servermates versus 7 or 8 outside spawntower. They joust in and out of their tower, no intention to fight on fair terms. Until they suddenly came out and charged us, but only cause a zerg came in from the west aswell.

So roaming with such small numbers can be frustrating, but please. Stay out of our jumping puzzle! I have recently trained three Oozes for me their to trim grass and vines. I call them Hector, Jesus, and Miguel!

To the two thieves I fought on my guardian close to Hero´s. When at one point all was down and a warg introduced to the fight and all 3 rallied before fighting continued. Kudos. Was a really fun fight. Glad I got it on tape
