Yeah, threatening to spam the forums (and spamming the forums) will just get you banned from the forums. And you’re not likely to get a direct response if you make threats, either.
There’s never been a title for the various Mob Slayer achievements, whitz. The only Slayer title is the spvp kills one. You probably just misunderstood what you saw (we’re all guilty of it from time to time).
Yeah, it doesn’t say anywhere in the achievements that you get titles for those achievements. I mean, good job killing 1k giants; that’s impressive (I can’t be bothered to do it, myself). But yeah, it’s pretty plain to see that there’s no reward for those other than AP.
True, there is the possibility, but in my opinion it’s not likely. Revenant will be a heavy class, using hammer as a ranged weapon, along with mace and axe (and probably another weapon or two). Guardian, an already-existing heavy class, already uses staff. So, that’s why I’m assuming they won’t give another heavy class a staff.
My husband had this happen to him when he did Hydra Queen some months back. However, when I did it on my new account a month or so ago, I was able to unlock the achievement the first time. So yeah, it seems to be a bit buggy.
This is only from my own observations but I think the amount of damage you do determines the quality of the drops, while being the first players to tag the mob determines whether you get the drops at all. For example, you are the first to tag one of the rock dog champs during Ulgoth event. You’re qualified for the champ bag, but you didn’t deal enough damage afterwards, so you only get the masterwork bag instead of exotic. It explains why my ranger gets more green champ bags than my ele (even though he can tag everything as soon as they spawn with traps) because his dps isn’t as high as hers.
I don’t think the quality of the bag you get is based on the damage you do. The rarity is dependent upon your personal level, the level of the champion, and a bit of RNG. For example: If you kill a champion in Fireheart Rise, you’ll get an exotic champ bag no matter what (assuming you’re of the appropriate level for the zone and get loot credit). If, however, you’re level 80 and go to Great Jungle Wurm, you have a chance of getting Basic OR Exotic from the various champs that spawn during the pre-events.
You just said it yourself ‘to enjoy game content’, period, no specification about having to do the content as a group, you can solo the entire game if you want and just group up as a means to be social or seek help.
Indeed, there is no requirement for a group for much of the content in this game. However, LFG means “Looking for Group”. If you are posting in the LFG, you should be doing so to look for a group for whichever activity you’re looking to do.
If you want to simply be social or ask questions, there is map chat, say chat, guild chat, and whisper.
I mentioned that our avatars are replaced, similar to how mounting a Golem works in WvW. That mechanic is already in the game for WvW, so moving it to PvE is only a few codes away from happening.
Edit – It worked that way in GW1 too, when you mounted a Siege Devourer or Rollerbeetle.
Yeah, siege devourers, rollerbeetles, junundu, etc. were all disguises or forms. The effect was the same as using any transformation tonic (ie. the Everlasting Prince Rurik tonic) or any other forms. There are also already transformation tonics in GW2. Nothing new there, dude.
The way stability works for that skill now is you’re given the Stability buff for 3 seconds, and it’s applied three times. Buffs can be stripped. A necro (for example) could strip your stability with Well of Corruption and fear you immediately after.
Lol even after 600 hours in the game I had only 3 ascended drops (all jewelry), witch on it’s own seems to be to grindy even for grind games. Still missing accessory items, even with 100+ laurels spent. And I still on my way to 500 in weaponsmith. I don’t think that I ever even bother with lvl other profs to 500.
Meanwhile, I have every crafting discipline to its max level, have received a handful of ascended drops, have enough ascended trinkets for my “main” characters, etc.
I’m still in the process of finishing my first full ascended armor set (for my necro). I’ve taken my time to avoid grinding my brain into oblivion (ugh silk). I just have to do the shoulders and legs now.
To get final 10-15% on several chars you need spend thousands of hours.
They should just go F2P and push their gem store. Anet’s biggest problem is it does things in half measures. They have some kind of crazy hybrid between B2P and F2P. Plus they sell gold (so its P2W) and removed all the drops
If you’re currently doing a boss and need to salvage while playing or many other reasons, you need your left hand on the left side of the keyboard and not reaching to press the i button or whatever you have it mapped too. Much easier to click it in many situations.
Eh, it’s easier for me to just press I. Then again, I’m not often messing around with inventory while I’m doing events/dungeons; I tend to do that in the time between those things.
Can someone explain to me why everyone, including devs, keep typing “challenge mote(s)”? In that other thread, it’s even in the title like that. Wouldn’t it have to be “challenge mode(s)”? Because that’s what it is… a mode that’s more challenging. A mote is a word too (had to look that one up in the dictionary), but it’s related to dust.
I’m not a native english speaker, so it REALLY confuses me that everyone, half of them probably native english speakers, writes “mote” instead of “mode”… o.o

There are challenge motes, small bright lights, that players interact with to start “challenge modes” in particular living story chapters. They’re (the items we interact with) called challenge motes. So, it’s not a case of us using “mote” when we mean “mode”. :p
from what i remember if you have a exotc sigil on land weapons use those to build up stacks you dont need a exotic on underwater a green one would do.

Yeah, that doesn’t work. The stacks from each tier aren’t the same as stacks from other tiers. You lose your stacks as soon as you enter the water (or leave the water, if you get stacks while underwater).
Take the items into your inventory, change maps, and then re-stack them. The only thing that work around won’t work for is the year one experience scrolls and the year two ones; those will never stack on eachother.
The reason I said it was missing those two episodes is because it specifically states:
“The following items are not included due to purchase limits. Price has been adjusted appropriately.
*7. Seeds of Truth
*8. Point of No Return”
They show up, they just aren’t included with the package… according to the specific notations implemented by ArenaNet. I wanted to know if that was going to be fixed later, or if this was their version of a fix.
Yes, it says that for you because you already have those two chapters unlocked; thus, “due to purchase limits” (to keep you from buying something you already have unlocked on your account), you can’t buy those two chapters. If you didn’t have those two unlocked, there would be no such notice.

I still don’t get the issue with keeping my stacks when I get out of the water. Sure take them off me in the water but if the same weapon is equipped coming out what’s the problem?
Well, look at your second complaint in your OP.
“While I’m on it if I have a sword with 25 bloodlust on it and swap it out to a scepter with a bloodlust sigil on it why do I lose my stacks?”
As you point out, when you remove (unequip) your sword, you lose your bloodlust stacks. You won’t get the stacks back if you put your sword back on; you’ll have to go get them again. This is all assuming you’re not keeping a Bloodlust weapon equipped in your second set while changing the weapon (in which case, as noted above by Mo Mo, you’d be able to keep your stacks).
As I noted above, you’re unequipping your terrestrial weapons when you enter the water (and unequipping aquatic weapons when you leave the water). So, you lose your stacks and won’t get them back without reapplying them.
Because it’s a different weapon set ok cool so when I leave the water why can’t I keep the main weapon stack I had before I went in and save myself a few gold buying another?
When they made this change, it was to make it so people couldn’t get a set of stacks, switch to a weapon without the same sigil, and still keep the stack bonus. When you enter the water, you’re unequipping your terrestrial weapons; when you leave the water, you’re unequipping your aquatic weapons. Thus, the charges won’t carry over unless you have one in both the aquatic and terrestrial.
So, either get a Bloodlust sigil for one of your underwater weapons, or continue playing as you are now.
Have you tried altering your LFG post to NOT include “Silverwastes” or “SW” in the title? That way you’re far less likely to get taxi-searchers joining you. Just put something along the lines of “Selling >achievement name< portal/help”.
Also, reporting people for LFG abuse just because they don’t respond to a whisper is an abuse of the reporting function.
Put one in one of your water weapons. Problem solved.
Edit: I don’t lose my stacks when I switch from one Bloodlust weapon to another. If you think you’ll need to use a particular weapon, have it pre-set as one of your equipped weapon sets so you won’t lose your stacks.
Ok, the problem with the submit button …..each of those title boxes only offers drop down menus to chose from. If you look at my initial image of it, both fields are using the text offered on those drop down menus…you can’t write anything into either of those fields, only chose an option offered.
As for the issue experienced while leaping to this guy…I was using the crystals to leap to him, but kept bouncing off his shield like a rubber ball. I also attempted to quickly start firing a skill once I hit him, which did not work either.
Look at the third field below the two drop down menus. Right below the “Blocking Progress” and “Exploitable Issue” check boxes. It says “Title”. That’s the title field, and that’s where you put a title for your issue.
Are you absolutely sure you’re:
1. Getting the correct crystal (the orange ones that will spawn near him when he does his shield phase).
2. Targeting (simply clicking on him would suffice) him before using the aspect skill.

I found well of blood didnt heal me a lot, gave me like 300 health back.
Well of Blood’s base heal is a good bit stronger than the Blood Fiend’s, and standing in the well for the full 5 seconds gives you the bonus healing per tick. But I still only use that heal in very specific situations (like when I need to keep NPCs alive for an event or something).
I saw a post from Gaile Gray about a day or so ago that indicates that the Living World Complete Pack will return to the store soon. Right now it is there, but it is missing 7 and 8 (I believe that was mentioned already in this thread)…
My question is this:
Will it return to being the actual complete pack?
If it will, I’ll just wait until then to buy it. If not, then I can always come back and buy the other two episodes later I guess.
It’s not missing those two; you already have those two unlocked. If you didn’t have them unlocked already, they’d show up in the bundle.
It’s all of the Living World Season 2 chapters in a bundle. No, it doesn’t give out wings. It gives you the chapters to complete, as well as the achievements (and you get rewards for finishing them).

The name choosing portion of character creation is page 10/10 (indicated at the bottom center of the screen). So yeah, I’d say it’s safe to assume that once you choose Accept/Submit, that’s that. Thus, I don’t really think a confirmation window is necessary.
Even if I didn’t notice that 10/10 thing, I probably wouldn’t type something I didn’t like or didn’t want to use into the name field because of the chance that it would actually be accepted.
OP: Do you already have that story chapter unlocked on your account? If so, that may be why you don’t see it in the pack. To answer your other questions:
Yes, it unlocks it on your account.
You’ll get the loot everyone gets for completing the story and the achievements.
Are you sure you didn’t toss in a forge stone or something other than an axe for the first example? Because I’ve never heard of the forge bugging in that way before.
As for the second example, they changed the forge some months ago, and that change made it so that you have a chance of getting a lower level (76 or 78) return even if you put in four 80s.
Note that the countdown is 2 weeks of LOGGED IN real time (not a constantly running 2 week clock).

Actually, it’s 2 weeks real time counting from first activation. I still have one around from the beginning of the game (that i have never really needed yet), and it’s still usable.
