Unfortunately, no, you can’t gift account upgrades to other players. You could buy your brother a gem card and give it to him, or you could send him the gold it would cost to trade gold-for-gems and buy the episodes he wants/needs.

They changed the time sometime yesterday, and they immediately changed the time listed on the announcement when that happened. If WP didn’t update it, then that’s on WP.

That being said, a note on the launcher and/or an in-game mail would be a good thing to see when we have stress tests/demos coming up.

You’re welcome! When someone/something says you “automatically learned” it, it just means your characters came pre-set with that recipe. So, it’ll always be there for you to use, once you’re able to use it.

The recipe is automatically learned for you. Look under the Refinement tab at the crafting station.

Well, you didn’t report them until after you were kicked, so it does seem like you did it out of spite rather than wanting to rightly report spamming. :p But reporting spamming in-game is fine to do.

1. Yes, it’s a one time drop. Any future spoons obtained as drops from Fractals, Tequatl, or WvW will be Broken Spoons.
2. No, it’s not possible to get it as a drop before unlocking the collection.

What Ayrilana says makes sense. If the demo characters have not been deleted (which seems to be the case, based on gw2efficiency), then there’s no way for someone who’s done the demo to delete all their characters. That sucks for people who wanted to change servers that way right now.

Lion’s Arch is just a city, so you’re good to go there whenever you’re ready. The surrounding explorable maps are Gendarran Fields (25-35), Lornar’s Pass (25-40), and Bloodtide Coast (45-55).

As for pets, you choose a pet when you create your character. That pet is your starter pet. So, you probably chose the river drake when you made the character. To get other pets, you just go up to Juvenile versions of creatures in the game and Tame them (a special interaction will pop up when you stand next to one of the Juvenile creatures, letting you tame it).

I can’t see the screenshot either, minilongshot. So, it’s difficult to say what the issue could be.

What Trogdor said. Just take it to the NPC and convert to Account Bound. Then just put it in your bank before deleting the character.

Did you get the newest one in Lion’s Arch? It was added just a few weeks ago. Captain Kiel’s Headquarters, I think.

Human warrior does not say what OP is talking about. Warrior shouts make the character say the name of the shout (ie. using “Shake it off!” makes you shout out “Shake it off!”). Plus, as was already said above, it’s the buggy audio for activating RF.

Eh, I just use my necro. I just use AOEs/wells for my utility slots, and then use staff and scepter/dagger (although I might go scepter/torch this year).

If you havent finished HoT story, I would say- start there, if you are of course into lore and stuff like that. But doing so it’s a great way to learn HoT and keeping up with the story which will make sense if you play it in order.
If you are only into PvEing, try start in the first HoT-zone, Verdant Brink. Run around and do events, join other for Meta-events and kill map-bosses.

If you start the HoT storyline (you can start it by going to the Story Journal tab on the Hero Panel and choosing Heart of Thorns and starting the first chapter), it’ll lead you right to Verdant Brink after finishing the intro story chapter.

Weird. I was able to do all of that while mounted (except for changing gear, which I didn’t try this time).

You’d have to contact support to change anything like that, but since you’re using someone else’s account, they’d probably be less than willing to do anything (sharing accounts violates the ToS). Unfortunately, they don’t usually change account names except for situations where the name could reveal personal information (real name, for example) or for very particular situations.

For those who can’t see any demo character slot: Triple check. I thought I didn’t have any either, but after I scrolled through my characters a third time, I found them right in the middle of my character list.

Unfortunately, what they get out of it is the pleasure and power they feel when they make someone else feel uncomfortable. I’m sorry that this person is doing this to you. You could try asking support to let you change your account name. Provide your information from your previous support tickets, and reiterate to them how you’re unable to enjoy the game because of the constant spam. Otherwise, the only thing I can think of is starting a brand new account; you’d lose your progress and account unlocks, but you’d be able to avoid this person again.

I was hit by the most devastating side of Hurricane Harvey. Our house flooded for the first time since ever (some 50+ years). I wasn’t on to even know about this package until I was able to check the forums today because I’ve been busy with trying to move out of our house because it’s totaled.

Honestly at this point I’ve missed a lot of sales and free items but I’m not bitter about missing them. I’m just thankful to be alive.

The point I’m trying to make here is that in the end it’s just digital items. FREE digital items that are only just data in the end. During the HoT beta period we had a lot of partecipation in the class subforums, but now everything is silent.

The HoT beta was an actual beta; the PoF “beta” is just demonstrations of what we’ll see in the game, while also letting us give feedback and letting the devs fix any glaring issues that pop up during the demo. They were at a different stage of development than they are with these PoF demos.

All GW2 players are allowed to play in the stress test. Those of us who prepurchased PoF already got bonuses (weapon skin, title, outfit, etc.); we don’t need more. :p

I believe you can only transfer to a new world once every seven days. I’m not sure how it works if you go from free-to-play to a full account, though.

If your server is full, then your friend isn’t likely to be able to join it anytime soon. They could try joining a server that is currently linked to yours in wvw, which would allow you to kind of play together. Otherwise, all they can do is wait and see if your server’s wvw population ever goes down.

The Deluxe edition does not come with the 4000 gems; the Ultimate edition is the one that comes with the gems. If you ordered the Ultimate edition, then note that the gems take up to 72 hours to be applied to your account. You won’t get them in an in-game mail; they’ll just be applied to your gem amount (you can check this by just opening the Gem Store in-game).

They do! You need to collect 20 of them, then you can/should exchange them for a Tome of Knowledge at the Mystic Forge’s NPC, which provides you with a Spirit Shard.

OP is talking about Experience Scrolls (the pink/purple items from birthday gifts), not Writs of Experience.

WoW is far from dead, though.

As for the thread topic, I wouldn’t really care either way. I don’t see flying mounts in the style of WoW really becoming a thing, though, due to how the world in GW2 is done (no seamless transitions between zones).

She’s just a Warrior, really. The reason she has “Warrior, Necromancer, Assassin” listed is that she (and other henchmen) has skills that change depending on which campaign or expansion you’re playing when you use her. A vast majority of the time, she has only Warrior skills. But she has one Necromancer skill if you use her in Eye of the North. And she is a Warrior/Assassin if you fight her during the Norn Fighting tournament.

All t hat being said, she’s a really neat character, I feel.
