You’d need to contact support directly. There’s a “Support” link at the top of the page and at the bottom of the page that will take you to the support page.
Are you on the same region as your guild? If the guild are all playing on EU while you’re playing on NA (or vice versa), you won’t be able to play together. As for the mail issue, I’m not completely sure. If your account is new, there may be a period of time that has to pass before you can receive mail. I know that new accounts can’t send receive mail with attachments until 7 days have passed.
It could be because she’s still a child (at this point, I think she’s around 16 or 17). I think her stature is bigger now than it was when we were first introduced her, but I could just be remembering wrongly.
I’m pretty sure that there are no crafted rabid earrings, except the Tortured Root item. You might have bought it from a karma vendor. I’m not sure if those items can be salvaged now (they used to not be able to be salvaged, anyway), but still, an upgrade extractor should have worked on those.
I’d love to see this happen.
The first rule of security is never run an application at higher privilege than it needs. But, we must run GW2 as an administrator, which is the worst possible security posture for any application.
3rd-party voice software must also be run as admin in order to be used with GW2.
Neither of those statements are even remotely true. Both GW2 and five different third party VoIP clients run perfectly happily and successfully without administrator privileges on my system, and I assure you I have done absolutely nothing to make that happen.
You’re right! That’s very new, but I like it. They finally listened.
Scratch my previous post, folks.
Not to harp on about it, but it’s not very new, either. Like, I was able to run both without running as admin at least two years ago.
I was under the impression that both of those two skins were automatic? I was generally referring to the hundred or so other skins that are purchased with BL tickets.
Automatic? If you mean “guaranteed drop”, no. They’re a rare drop from the chests, and they’re indeed account bound on acquire. That’s why people are frustrated about them.
Which exact item is the queen bee currently inside, out of curiosity?
As for any refund or direct response from Anet, you’d need to submit a support ticket. Let them know that you’d like a refund for the upgrade extractor (keep in mind they likely won’t refund your real-life money but, if they decide to refund you the amount, will instead give you the gems back), and also let them know that you need help getting the upgrade out of your current item.
But, we must run GW2 as an administrator, which is the worst possible security posture for any application.
3rd-party voice software must also be run as admin in order to be used with GW2.
That’s odd. I don’t have to run GW2 as an admin, and I’ve never had to run TS3 or anything else as an admin while playing GW2.
The Norn one always felt the most “boring” when I’d play their personal stories. There are boring sections of each race’s story, but the Norn just really seemed to drag, unfortunately.
Turns out I already had the recipe, but I was in such a hurry I didn’t bother to check, so I just spent 25k on something I then had to delete. Oh well.
I did the same thing, so you’re not alone!
Their relationship was being repaired by near the end of LWS2, so their relationship was definitely getting better and could have gotten close in the brief time off screen. Some chapter of last season (the chapter where we had to do those events in Frostgorge Sound) ended with them going back to Hoelbrak to have a feast and talk about their first fight together. And the last chapter has Eir introduce Braham to the rest of Destiny’s Edge as her son. So, yeah, it wasn’t a ton of in your face bonding, but it did happen. And I think the fact that their relationship was just starting to come together is part of why Braham reacts the way he did; he grew up without his mother in his life, and just when they’re starting to know and respect eachother, she’s taken away.
So yeah, he’s pretty much a big jerkwad right now. But his attitude (the rage and wanting to push away the people who care about him) is pretty realistic, I feel. That being said, I do hope he snaps out of it or that our character gets to tell him off if he mouths off like that again.

When I was trying to get the Aestus and Ignis stones, I killed Asestus first and got it right away. I went and helped finish off Ignis next (got event and loot credit), but I didn’t get the Ignis drop. I tried again the next day (after the next Daily Reset), killed Ignis first, and I got it.
The wiki also states that the items drop from the Daily Chest (and links to the boss/Ancient Chest). https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Element_of_Ignis

Asking for 10g right away, before any “trial” run, seems very scam-like to me. Now, if a guild were to ask for a 10g fee AFTER a trial period (during which the person wanting to join would be evaluated based on the guild’s standards), I’d be on board, assuming that the guild let the potential member know about this future charge when they signed up. Charging your fee once the member is fully accepted seems a lot more fair than charging them for a trial run. But, regardless of what I think, the guild leaders set the rules for their guild. The people who don’t care for that practice or are worried they might not get accepted should just avoid it.
The devs should stop promising promising things they cannot do. First Hot, then last when that guy was on guild Chat, said, said today was gonna be a fix. They really need to stop it and not promise thinks they aint sure will change last moment.
Or maybe people should realize that “I think” does not mean “I promise that this will happen”. Regardless, it’s back up now.
If you’re sitting there coming up with finicky "what if . . . " scenarios, you probably already know what you’re doing isn’t in line with the “rules” stated by devs.
It’s worth doing that full line just to unlock auto loot (Advanced Logistics).
Really, though, I think every necromancer should consider some version of this song to be their “theme song”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWabGQBnzKo
From favorite to least favorite:
Draconis Mons
Ember Bay
Lake Doric
Bitterfrost Frontier and Bloodstone Fen (I like both to the same amount)
Asking people to pay 10g upfront just screams “scam” to me anyway.
I named my first mesmer Sicut Cervus, which is the title of one of my favorite pieces of music (Palestrina’s setting of Sicut Cervus). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yd5EE0hAB8
I named my second mesmer Pirate Jenni (Pirate Jenny was already taken) because I wanted a pirate-themed character. Her theme song would definitely be “Pirate Jenny” from Kurt Wiell’s Threepenny Opera. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ec0clERjQ5A
And my main (my necro) has Voltaire’s “When You’re Evil” as her theme song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxJrjV4PNXA
ok look where i got it marked in red and check that box on your game in the options tab. and then go out into the world click on something and then you will see how much health it has till you kill it . as well as when you kill it you see the numbers going down .on whatever it is your killing .
That still doesn’t permanently make health bars appear over all players’ heads or anything, though, which is what the thread is about.; the only thing it does is turn the target’s HP into a percentage.
(edited by RoseofGilead.8907)
that can be easily fixed just go to options look about halfway down the first tab and you will see it. check the box and see everyone’s health lvls
I’m not seeing this option anywhere.
look at the bottom of this pic where it is marked in red is the one you want. also in checking that box will turn it into a number format . without all the other stuff your seeing now . sadly to say this is about the best you can for now hope for to fix your problem .
“Show simple condition floaters” doesn’t make everyone’s health bars appear above their heads or disable ally names.
I would switch Necromancer and Thief, at least for PvE. Necromancer is way easy to learn, and thief takes a bit more paying attention and skill than necro.
I don’t remember seeing anything mentioning that.
I don’t do that because I just cannot stand doing the same repetitive action for even an hour, let alone for multiple hours. I guess if I did farm, I’d put on a movie nearby or listen to a podcast.
I recommend sentient anomoly and star of gratitude.
You could make Dragonite Ingots and Empyreal Stars, but Arenanet are doing the usual “ignore existing content, just make new systems all the time” thing with those.Cool, how do i get started on the Star of Gratitude?
I’m not sure if this is a serious question or not, due to the fact that I know you’re not a new player. In case you’re serious, you wait until Wintersday to start the collection. You’ll get an in-game mail telling you to go help some orphans.
You could make Mawdrey, do the achievement for Herta, and/or do the achievement for the Empyreal and Bloodstone combo eater. That would take care of a lot of your bloodstone dust and empyreal fragments. As for airship oil, no idea. I, also, have tons of that sitting in my bank.
I’d opt for the end of the new JP in Draconis Mons.
I don’t know, is it possible to portal people to that who haven’t already gotten inside the JP? (It might be, I have yet to find my way into the JP myself). And how sure are we the DM JP won’t get the same coding change that the EB one did so people can get the achieve just be reaching the top by whatever means?
Hm. Good point. People could teleport to a friend to it, I know. But I’m not 100% sure about portaling people.
If the one in DM is not an option, then I’d say either the lava one in Caledon Forest or the ice one in Frostgorge Sound.
I’d opt for the end of the new JP in Draconis Mons. Edit: If it is, indeed, doable.

Ehh, I don’t see how open world pvp brings any further “immersion” to the game.
Thanks, I did finish phase 3 and thought I would get a thing or two for phase 4. I test-slew a small number of elementals and did not get the drop. I understand RNG — my question is whether the collection is completely disabled right now, or just the seed planting part.
If completely, will I still be able to get seeds? I currently only have 3 and would like to gather up the other 12 while waiting for the collection to be reinstated.
About an hour ago, I was able to get seeds from plants, get the drops from elementals, and plant seeds in the two fertile soils that aren’t disabled (the one in Mount Maelstrom and the one in Dry Top). The items from the elementals aren’t a guaranteed drop; 3 out of 4 took at least 10 kills, and then the last one I got on the first kill. So, just make sure you’re killing the right mobs (embers, sparks, air elementals, earth elementals, etc.), and be prepared for RNG.
I believe that the most recently applied condition(s) are the first to be removed. So, if the 10 bleeds were applied to you first, followed by vuln and then cripple, cripple will be the first one removed.
To be fair, there’s not just one giant in the whole game that counts, if that’s what you mean by “one mob”. There’s the one in Diessa Plateau, the final boss of CoE Story (unless that was “fixed”), and the one in Harathi Hinterlands. On top of those three single giants, there’s that event chain in Brisban Wildlands that scales up to spawn multiple giants.
Now, that being said, it’s ridiculous that there are still only a handful of them, especially when every other Slayer achievement does not have such a scarcity problem.
Yeah, the purple dragon is someone with the Anniversary Mail Carrier sending/receiving mail or listing items on the TP.

Also works for me (on Firefox and Chrome).
Part of that is because there’s no party leader system now. You might have created the LFG, but you don’t have any sort of control over who comes and goes or if the LFG listing can be removed.
When a group of 2 is reduced to a group of 1 (one of the two leaves), that group is automatically removed from LFG. Same as when the group fills up. No one has to remove it from LFG manually.
Ahhh, there we go. I didn’t realize that one person leaving a two person party unlists it. But yeah, the guy probably didn’t do that on purpose; probably joined and then left, not thinking that it’d unlist OP’s group.
nono he said he closed it. look the pictures there is the dialogue
He said “sorry for closing it”. That sounds more like a “I didn’t mean to do that/didn’t know that happened”, not a “I closed it, sorry”. Other people can’t close your party like that.
Out of your current classes, I’d say necromancer. It’s a good class for soloing most anything, due to the high HP and death shroud (which basically gives you a second health bar), so you can survive most situations. You’ll also do enough damage to not take forever to get through fights. Also, minions can be good meat shields. Most importantly, necro is a very, very easy class to learn.
The main drawback to a necro is the mobility isn’t great, but it’s easy enough to get around with what’s available. Also, the Reaper spec (the elite spec for necro) makes playing a necro even better, in my opinion. So, if you opt for a necro, definitely go for getting the elite spec unlocked.
The topic should have been labeled " What Lily.1935 would like to see in the next expansion"
The topic heading is easy to misinterpret.
As it is written……. the poster is also an “I”
I agree. The title is misleading.
The topic of this thread is “What I’d like to see in the next expansion” The op even says feel free to respond. A poster on this thread says that they would like wvw to get some attention and that an elite is not going to convince him to spend 50 dollars. The poster did express some negativity on Anet’s inclination to cater to wvw but so what?
The op berates said poster claiming that the topic isn’t about wvw. Last time I looked wvw is still part of this game and supposedly will be after the next expansion drops.
@op……. Please don’t bring “safespace” bullcrap on to the forums. You are NOT the moderator. Don’t ask for responses if you are not prepared for thinking that differs from your own.
To be fair, the OP asked for responses to the idea they explained in the first post.
“Give me your thoughts on this. This is something I’d like to see. Let me know what you think. Anything you’d change, add to this? Feel free to respond.”
The OP didn’t say “What would YOU like to see in the expansion?” or “Feel free to say something you’d want”. That being said, it’s obviously an open forum, and anyone can respond with what they want to say.

Don’t LFG listings expire after a certain period of time? It seems more likely that your listing just expired, rather than was closed by someone else. One person joining a party with just one person won’t remove it from the LFG list (unless there’s a bug); the group would have to fill up or disband for that to happen, I think.
(edited by RoseofGilead.8907)
I was thinking the high-end ones, like viper, sinister, and others like that. The ones you have to buy the recipe from some NPC, or the ones where you have to earn the recipe somehow.
All recipes are learned for your entire account now. So, while you have to buy/get a recipe for each individual piece, you only have to learn each recipe once per account.
Yeah, Anet said quite a while ago that their small group, instanced content is going to be Fractals. The old dungeons won’t be updated, and new dungeons likely won’t ever be a thing.
I think my favorite dungeon is Honor of the Waves, largely because I like the Kodan and actually enjoy underwater combat. Story-wise, Arah is my favorite.
As a socially shy gamer who only groups up with other players when I absolutely have to, I’d welcome Heroes/Henchmen in GW2. It’d be nice for things such as Migraine, which is hard to find a group for these days, or even less-popular dungeons. I think it should be kept out of raids, though, at least for a good, long while.
I’d love to have more story/lore involved in all parts of the game, including in how we unlock our elite specs. I think your idea is good, but at the same time I don’t really want to see the introduction of a new version of hero points. I’d like to see the use of the hero points combined with story/lore tasks to unlock the tiers of traits and such, though.
Regardless, as Donari pointed, out it’s likely far too late for any such thing to be put in for the next expansion because it’ll likely be out (or at least be close to coming out) by the end of the year. But hopefully we’ll see some elements of this in the expansion.
Is that a Norn hairstyle? I don’t see it in the human hairstyles on the wiki.
It was originally a norn hairstyle, but they let human females have it some time ago, along with a couple of other originally-norn hairstyles. Norn also got some originally-human styles.
