Go to a bank or crafting station, and then look at the Wardrobe. Select your armor weight (light, medium, or heavy), and then you can browse/try on every available skin in the game. If you find a piece you like, you could either wiki it or ask in map chat where to get it.
You’re not doing anything wrong; they’re just either putting points into a trait that gives them a vitality bonus or are using gear or trinkets that give them a vitality bonus.
You can replace runes in armor regardless of whether or not they’re salvageable; the new rune will overwrite the old one. You just won’t be able to get the old one out if you don’t take them out before putting in new ones.
That was actually a “fix” to a problem with players jumping down from the path, like you are trying, to reach the vista on the other side, instead of running the content as supposed to (go up, kill the vet and pull the chain to open the gate).
Yeah, except you can still jump down onto it from that same path.
Players without a high level character need to complete less achievements to get the 10 AP daily. New players don’t have to do 3 achievements to earn their points, so in a way they have it easier.
So really as far as rewards go, with the new system you get them faster and without even trying.
I had to do three achievements to get the 10 points on my new account, starting from level 1. And when you have a brand new account, you start out with just one option from each category, so you have even fewer choices to pick from but still have to do three to “finish”.
Those do stack; there’s just a bug with account bound items right now. Take them into your inventory, change maps or log out, go back to a bank, and then they’ll restack.
So the 3 inquest banging on Alpha while he’s not doing anything is an exploit too?
Agent Spire pulling shutting down the console by pulling the lever (and selecting the path) triggers a self defense mechanism in Alpha that grants him unique defensive abilities. Alpha doesn’t care if you bully him, he cares only when you trigger his defensive mechanism (path selection). Once you do that, he goes on a rampage and starts attacking both the player AND the inquest, which is exactly what happens when you do select the path.
The three inquest aren’t actual players who used holes in the coding to attack Alpha while he isn’t in hostile mode. Plus, they don’t ever actually damage him.
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t particularly care if people do this, but it is clearly not intended to be done this way (although why they haven’t bothered to put an invisible barrier at the top of that door is beyond me).

Nope. Just portions of the precursor gift (ie. Gift of Kraitkin, Gift of Moot, Gift of Kudzu) require a crafting discipline. Pretty much everything else is combined in the forge.
You won’t need to use the precursor until you have every other gift (gift of mastery, gift of fortune, and the legendary weapon gift) ready to go in the forge. Gifts are all account bound, so you can just put them in your bank after you’ve made it on your weaponsmith and have the character with the precursor forge them when you’re done.
Threads sometimes get commented on and sometimes someone like Gaile will answer policy questions, such as whether something is against the TOS, but they have never answered specific questions of your type about future content. The questions they do answer are of a general nature, such as clarifying the Mastery system.
The issue right now is that some account bound items are now dropping as “account bound on acquire”, which “technically” makes them different from the old ones sitting in your bank. However, it’s easily remedied by taking the items (the ones that aren’t stacking) in your inventory, changing maps, and then stacking them.
Just dittoing what was already said. Don’t just leave your toon(s) parked in the same place all the time. Move them around and do other events now and then. Heck, get there on time and go help with the collection pre-event.
Karka Queen is a good world boss to catch when you can. Four champ bags and karka shells, plus any loot you get from the pre-events or gathering while on the island.
And, for the record, any champion loot box has a small chance of dropping an ascended weapon or armor chest.
I just don’t get the big deal about the animations being removed. Nor do I see a double standard or feel the need to feign rage about said double standard.

Which is a real shame (pun intended) b/c public shaming actually does go a long way in correcting behavior… for example back in the day before you could lfg que for raids in wow, if a guy ninja looted an item on a small server just one person telling mapchat could help get him blacklisted by almost everybody and most pugs who cared enough to block. This public shaming thus was a great form of punishment and a good deterrent to punishment.
A real life example in ancient times the jewish people were allowed to stone a child to death if he was often rude and disrespectful to his parents. Now I’m not arguing for or against capital punishment here especially for what our culture would consider a minor offense but I guaranty you that it got results lol. All it would take is for little johny to be stoned and little billy and all his friends would be perfect angels… just saying…
You’re allowed to name and shame in-game, assuming you’re being honest about what’s going on. You just can’t do so here on the forums.
For the record I don’t think creating an environment of fear is the best way to get results.
If you are doing the fractal daily then you are doing fractals. Therefore, I do no see why you would not just do the whole thing.
It is a serious kitten move to say, “I got the daily, so long, have fun finishing the rest of it down a man.”
When I do the Fractal Daily, I either start my own group saying “Doing just ONE fractal for Daily Fractal”, or I join a group with a similar description. Then we all do our one fractal, and we all leave.
I usually just don’t have the time to do a full run in one sitting.

Question: If you get another account what do you do about the email address? Do you need to come up with a new email address? Or can you use the one you currently have? I mean I know it is easy to create a new email with Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, or whatever but if you never plan on actually using that email address it can cause problems later.
Your account name and log-in is your email that you choose to use for the account. One email address cannot be on two different accounts, so you’d need a different email for that account.
You have four options for PVE, just like the PvPers have four options (and the WvWers, too). Even though you don’t like Fractals (trust me, I feel you there as I’m also not a huge fan), they’re still PVE and will often be part of the daily. You won’t miss out on much if you choose to skip a day if you don’t want to do wvw and pvp dailies; you’ll just miss out on the 10 AP.
For the record, the Daily Ruins wvw achievement is pretty fast and easy to do solo. Same with wvw Big Spender (which isn’t an option TODAY, but it comes up at least once or twice a week).
You’re mistaken about the dailies. You’ll have four Daily Achievements you can do from each category of the game (PvE, sPvP, and WvW). Doing any three of those 12 achievements will complete the full daily reward for you. Fire Elemental was not a daily for last night/today.
You can see the dailies you have to choose from for the day by pressing H, clicking on Achievements, and then clicking on Daily.
Yeah, I’m starting to not see the appeal so much anymore. The main reason I wanted one is that I really wanted to try out the revenant w/o buying a new character slot. I’ve been using my current account since shortly after release and so it’s got TONS of junk on it now.
You’d have to buy the expansion pack for your new account if you wanted to do that, too. The game is very cheap to buy right now, but if you’re only wanting a new character slot for a Revenant, it’d be better to just buy the slot for your current account and the expansion when it comes out.
No, you can’t transfer characters or any items that are account bound or soul bound. You’d have to level a character on your new account to 80.
And unlock everything (skins/ap/etc) again. Thats the only reason I don’t really want a second account.
I bought a second account the last time they had the 75% off sale. It was pretty annoying not having any “good” dyes unlocked, but skins were pretty easy to come by. You get a good chunk of different skins as you’re leveling and doing your personal story, and you can easily unlock them all by just salvaging. And the first 1k AP comes pretty quickly, too.
The mail restriction isn’t days-based; it’s more play-based. I was able to send/receive mails with gold by the time my first character on my second account was around level 30 (so after a few hours of playing and finishing a few maps for map completion).

No. Daily Fractal is just one fractal (any fractal from any level). Daily 21-30 Fractal (for example) is a full set of fractals. So, unless you manage to catch a group needing a fifth for the boss fractal in the daily level bracket, you’ll have to do a full run.
Yeah, I wouldn’t bank on being able to get the Mini Infirarium ever again. And the Llama is only for spvp. The mystical dragon seems to only be a China thing (an exclusive item for VIP China players). Moto and Miya will probably be back whenever SAB comes back.
I’ve never had this happen to me, and the rare times I’ve seen people say it happened it was a case of misunderstanding (either they didn’t actually sell the item, they already picked up the gold without realizing, or similar things). So yeah, it’s quite rare.
Explorer Achievements are separate from Been There, Done That.
Been There, Done That is 100% map completion. This means doing all POIs, Waypoints, Skill Challenges, Hearts, and Vistas in every PVE map (except Silverwastes, Dry Top, and Southsun Cove). You can check your progress on this for each map by pressing M, zooming out, and then hovering your cursor over every map’s name to see if you have 100% done.
The Explorer Achievements are simply uncovering all the areas of each map (which happens when you run into an explorable area that’s blurred on your map).
The other day I got an ascended armor box drop (yay). But then I saw it was Magi stats (boo). So, I picked a skin I didn’t already have unlocked, and then I vendored the armor.
