Crafting is worthwhile if you’re concerned about any of the following:
Crafting legendary weapons
crafting ascended gear
achievement pointsCrafting imo is only worth for making account bound stuff like ascended armor, or to make a legendary.
Afaik there is no crafting needed for legendarys, only for ascended.
Every legendary requires at least one crafting discipline to make Gifts.
A wedding doesn’t have to cost much money at all. All you need is the money for the license, the money to pay the judge/justice of the peace, and time to make an appointment to do the quick ceremony. Plus, if you do that, you can just use any extra money for a family vacation or a weekend getaway (if you’re able to do so).
That being said, I do completely understand wanting to wait until you can afford to have a wedding that feels more special and involves friends and family. Plus, like you said, waiting for a leap year so you can keep that awesome anniversary date is pretty cool, too.
I would highly recommend using a guide to level crafting. It’ll keep you from wasting gold, and it’ll keep you from hitting roadblocks like this. As the others have already said, you’re simply not at the level of crafting for refining that leather.
Check out the guides on gw2crafts.net.
I don’t see them changing the order for this. There’s no way you can rally your guild members to help do Trek a couple of times, so that you can unlock the upgrades for the better missions?
As a side note, if you have enough people to successfully complete a rush (15 people have to complete it), you should have enough to get through at least two of the puzzles and at least a couple of the challenges.
HoM rewards are disabled due to a bug from last week.
Light.
You need vision crystals for making the chest pieces of armor and for ascended back items. You need lesser vision crystals for all the other pieces.
Yup, as you said, you have the old one. Sadly, there’s nothing they can do to change yours. If you really wanted one of the armor skins, you could buy them off the gem store; they’re 500 gems per set, I believe.
I don’t understand why ANet didn’t give out the added on items to users who had the old edition. I don’t have the money or the gems to be able to get the other stuff again.
For the same reason they don’t refund people who payed full price for the game at launch just because they’ve had big discounted sales over the past few months.
If you play the game enough, you’ll get enough gold to buy gems to get the armor skins, if you wanted one. A couple of weeks of running dungeons or doing some Silverwastes runs would get you there, and that’s with only playing a few hours a week. The only other thing you didn’t get were the 10 exp boosters. You get boosters by leveling and doing certain personal story steps. You can also get them from black lion chests (which you get keys to open by also doing certain personal story steps).
Is there any way I could be able to receive the items to my mail? Or am I just excluded from the benefits.
No, they wouldn’t give you the items simply because you had the old version of it; they only do that for cases where someone deleted their first character without first getting their Deluxe items out of the character’s inventory. Unless this is a case where you somehow very recently bought the old version off of ebay or something without realizing what’s going on.

Your color is determined by your server’s color in wvw that week. If your server is green that week, then you’ll be green in EOTM, and you’ll be allied with everyone else who is Green that week. And as a map fills up, it creates a new version of the map where the overflow players will be playing.
Thanks for the info, much appreciated.
I may consider doing a server transfer. I’m currently in Gandara.
You don’t need to do that. PvE and sPvP lobby are all megaservers now, meaning players from multiple servers will be on the same maps. You could just look around for an RP guild to join, without having to transfer.
I see them all over The Grove and even in the hunting lodge in Queensdale. It’s very rare that I don’t see the emotes everywhere I go in the Grove. So, yeah, there are definitely a fair few RPers still.
Between guard and thief, thief is harder to master for sure. Engi might also be a good choice to look into.
Your log-in reward is tied to the first character you log into that day. So, if you make a toon, see the chest for the daily, and delete the toon, the reward is lost.
Can I ask why they don’t offer this service? They have all kind of services (not really important) in their shop, why they don’t care if someone wants to have his deleted character back – where he invested his money and time?
Well, you can’t just accidentally click delete and lose a character. You have to choose to click Delete, type out the character’s name, and then click to confirm. There’s no need for an “oops, undo that” option generally. Plus, if the person was truly concerned with his investment of money and time, he in most cases wouldn’t delete the character in the first place.

Yeah, I didn’t like most of them. The only ones I thought looked nice were the sword and torch.
To me, it honestly does make sense. You’re swapping terrain and, thus, “unequiping” your on-land weapons. The fact that you can get around that by putting another sigil in your underwater weapon is what doesn’t make sense to me; however, it does work and is the only viable work-around for it.
Also, this isn’t a bug technically. They changed it about a year ago because the sigils used to let you stack up on a weapon, unequip it, and still keep your stacks with other weapons.
Put one of the same stacking sigils in your underwater weapon.
Oh, by the way OP. If you are in the far north in Drakkar Lakes and you see a rabbit running ahead of you and it runs into a cave. DON’T FOLLOW IT!!!
Don’t listen to this guy. Always follow the bunny. The bunny brings you to cake and joy! There’s no such thing as a bunny leading you to doom!
Then you really havn’t played alot, the bug has been going on since i can remember tbh.
It can happen when you jump or leap and when in mid air you get immobi applied on you..Making your character Compltely uncontrollable, cant use skills, cant use utils, your char is stuck doing this jumping up and down animation.
I’ve played consistently since beta. The only time I remember something like this was back when it was more common for people to get stuck while waypointing to an area with a lot of people. I’ve never had it happen while I was in combat, even when I have been immobilized while jumping/leaping.
I personally wouldn’t buy them all for the current price on the TP. If you have the slots available, you could make a few characters, level them to anywhere between level 21 and level 30, and leave them parked at JP chests. Log onto each one every day, and hope for the best.
I like the name choice.
I never try to range those because the Tentacle attack only affects those who are ranged. If you’re in melee, all you have to worry about is when it does its PBAOE. So, since I never range them, I haven’t noticed any difference.
Congratulations to everyone who gets to participate! I only hate you all a tiny, tiny bit. <3
I honestly can’t think of a single time where I experienced something like this. Huh.
As was said above, missions have to be organized by the leader(s) of guilds. First, a guild has to have enough influence to build the prerequisite upgrades. Then, they have to have enough influence to build the first mission (Guild Bounty). Once you get some merit from doing Bounty a couple of times (once a week is the max you can do), you can start building Trek, and then Rush, Challenge, and Puzzle. You also have to build a consumable to do each mission type; it takes 12 hours to build Bounty and a full day to build all the others.
Thus, a guild has to have members who actively rep to get influence in order to build these missions. If none of your five guilds have enough influence or an active leader(s), then you won’t be doing missions with any of them.
Remember that sylvari are not human so their emotions can be expressed different.
In game it may be shown not so well but after the book I felt classic tragic romance story about two people with opposing goals loving each other that cant be together because of their obligations. And I felt they care for each other with natural, healthy way. With Kasjory I only feel like watching two high school girls with typical high school problems.
Caithe and Faolain do indeed care about eachother. But I wouldn’t call it healthy. It may have started out as a healthy, natural love and caring for eachother, but it then evolved into a Stalker/Stalkee situation. Caithe turned away from the relationship, and Faolain couldn’t let it go and started acting like an abusive ex. She stalked Caithe and even poisoned her to try to make her be with her.
The Kass/Marjory romance may have a lot of cheese, but at least it’s not a tale of stalking and abuse.
My husband and I have been replaying through various things on GW1 for the past six months. We both did EOTN and Prophecies together, and now we’re going through Nightfall for a title for him. I see people in-game all the time, but generally speaking you’ll be doing solo with henchmen/heroes. If you do get the game, I’d recommend getting the Trilogy pack along with EOTN (you’ll need EOTN to unlock HOM rewards, anyway). With the Trilogy, you’ll be able to go through Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and EOTN (and have access to all the heroes in Nightfall and EOTN); being able to play through all of the campaigns means you get more titles in GW1, which means you get more HOM points.
It’s not entirely beside the point, because if he could earn more gold, his spending would obviously not be as much of an issue.
If he made more gold, he’d end up wasting even more gold on things he doesn’t need; thus, his situation would not improve. The thing that needs to change is the “gotta spend it now” feeling OP seems to have.
There’s a simple solution: stop buying things you don’t absolutely need. If it doesn’t salvage items or benefit you in a way that your current gear/items do, then you don’t need it.
I think there is a story mission that tells you to go to that region. The story instance starts actually near the gate in Divinity’s Reach. Entering the real Fields of Ruins map is not needed.
Yeah, but that’s a story step that starts around level 50.
An elite mob before the first boss of SE path 1.
I have been waiting for a penguin , toucan, parrot, badger, duck, goat, brace of ferrets, raccoon and possum.
There is a raccoon. Two, actually. One is the HoM reward Rockfur Raccoon, and the other is the SAB raccoon. Both are adorable.
A veteran player named Ohoni.6057 thinks that everyone should have equal access to things this game has. When a pro player thinks this, you have to agree, because he has experience.
I’m also a veteran player (played GW1 and then started with beta for GW2). I have experience. I don’t think everyone should have equal access to all rewards if they don’t do the work required.
If it’s been more than seven days AND if you only submitted ONE support ticket, you can post your ticket number in the following forum thread so that they know to check it out. But keep in mind that support is still a bit backed up due to all the new accounts and all the old players coming back to play due to Expansion Hype.

That is not fair. I was told Guild Wars 2 is not a P2W game. How do I get in the top 500 in PvP? Do I just win a few games, or play a lot of games and have good win/loss ratio?
Getting top 500 in PvP does not mean “Pay to Win”; it’s PLAY to win.
For the record, I’d LOVE to have the mini llama. I love llamas. They’re one of my favorite things ever. However, I don’t do spvp, and I don’t plan on changing that. So, I’ve accepted that I’ll never get the mini.
They disabled them because of the bug where people were randomly getting GWAMM without even having a GW1 account linked.
Im Irish and she’s English. We met in game in Kamadan, I proposed to her in game in her guild hall with the Silver Ring (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Silver_Ring) and again in real life on her first trip to Ireland. We moved to my home town back in Ireland just after we had our first kid together and have had 3 more here since. We’re still not married yet as we just cant afford it ATM but we will do it though. The day we got together is a really cool date and would make a sweet wedding date (29th of feb).
Such a sweet story.
I love the online proposal.
My husband and I also met via MMOs (specifically after I joined the same online gaming guild he was already a member of). After a few months, we started talking a lot. Almost 10 years later, we have two kids (both boys) and have been married for almost 5 years.
Online gaming is really the best sometimes.
Why, he could just done the last Lv20 mission, followed by the first Lv30 one. Totally possible to do the 20er with a Lv19 char.
No, it’s not. Personal story chapters unlock every 10 levels. You get the first one at level 10. You don’t unlock the second one until level 20.
<3 I love this thread. And congrats on the new baby, OP!
Go to Prosperity WP. Go from there to the town of Prosperity, taking the first entrance into the town. It’ll be the first house on your left after entering there (the door is open). Once inside the house, go down to the bottom level, and then follow the path to the next area.
It’s against the forum rules to name and shame. You should delete the person’s name and block out any screen names shown in your screenshot. You can report him in-game and also report him to Support if you have screenshots of any of it.
i love how i’ve got all these abled people condescending at me, as though i don’t understand that “dumb” is not being used in the sense of “unable to speak” but in the sense of “stupid”. newsflash, intellectual and developmental disabilities get called “dumb” and “stupid” in real life, that is literally /why/ its awful to hear it in a game.
im also aware that asura culture is horrifically ableist and racist, that doesnt mean i should have to put up with My Individual Character saying things like that. i thought i could have an asura toon and just headcanon her as not wanting people like me dead. i was wrong, but i should have been correct; there’s no need for this particular voice clip.
You are reading far too much into the statement. The player character shouting this does not mean she has a vendetta against people with below average intelligence and thinks they should all die. She’s calling the mob she’s KILLING (who is also trying to kill her) dumb. She’s not calling its family dumb. She’s not calling every member of its race dumb. She’s calling the single mob dumb.
Plus, you just admitted that you know Asura are racist and pretty insensitive. I have to wonder why you would WANT to play a race like that. I mean, I play one (one asura out of my 12+ characters) because she amuses me at times, but I don’t care for the race as a whole; thus, I don’t play them often.
I’m pretty sure that line was put in to go with the typical Asura way of thinking/behaving and not to insult disabled people. And Asura, as a rule, are pretty acerbic and condescending towards every other race, especially when it comes to intelligence. And the line is purely smack talk against the mob the character is attacking; it’s not meant as an insult to people with disabilities as a whole.
If the Asura way of thinking and speaking offends you so, then you should definitely consider playing a different race for your own psychological well being. However, Anet should not feel like they have to change that line because of this.
Post second patch:
Voices are still happening.
Guild chat still is erased anytime you waypoint (even if you don’t change maps).
A skill point in Bloodtide Coast is broken; the cannonballs at Stormbluff Beacon skill point explode immediately, even if you press the Fire button long enough.
And the bug report window is still broken.
I still saw red when I got downed just now.
Confusion damage was buffed in PvE, not PvP. So, it’s not really anyone’s fault but your own that you killed yourself. When you get that many stacks of confusion, you need to either clear it as quick as possible or get in a safe place where you can wait it out; don’t attack while you have it on you. The more you attack, the more you damage yourself.

It’s a bug: Clarification
