You only get the armor skins one time per account. Once you remove them from your inbox, you won’t get another one.
A discount on the Deluxe Edition upgrade; 500 gems instead of 2000.
That’s not the 24 hour item.
I don’t know what to say. That sucks that it disappeared. Contact CS (there’s a link at the top and the bottom of the page), and send them your screenshots. Maybe the can help in some way.
You get your first zenith weapon skin at 1000 points. You don’t get another until 2000 points, and then another (armor skin) at 3000, and so on. You only have one skin in your unlocked skins window. So, yeah.
If it was an error or something they intended on changing, a statement about such would have been made at some point. Thus, I have to assume it’s either intended or a case of “eh, we’re not gonna change it anyway”.
I can make the same statement for every other thread in the bugs subforum.
lol, ok. I’m done here.
Yeah, as was said above, that guide was from 2012. That map looks completely different now. If you’re going to use a guide, look for one made in the past year.
What do you mean by adds and I am doing this as a Ranger? What weapons would be the best to use.I used a long bow and a GS?
I don’t often use consets.
Adds = the extra mobs that a boss spawns. The floating weapons circling him. And a ranged weapon is the easiest, if you’re using the method I posted above.
The expansion is just adding ONE zone.
No, they’re adding one new REGION. The region will have multiple “maps”.
There already is a fast track. Tomes of knowledge + crafting + EOTM train. It’s even more effective if you use the fireworks during the crafting and exp boosters/other consumables during EOTM.
“This upgrade will also grant you a Heroic Chest, regardless whether you already had the Heroic Edition of the game or not. "
Dunno about you, but I got a newsletter email just yesterday from them about PAX and GW2 being 75% off this weekend. While I would feel better with a “you’re in the beta pool!” ‘letter, I’ll take this as the next best thing.
Yeah, but I assumed that was just one of my usual GW2 newsletters. Hm. I wish they’d clarify it. Oh well, it’ll get sorted.
What Das said.
While i agree with everything else, that’s not necessarily true.
the reason wow has them and stuff is because if you don’t have ENOUGH dps, then you can’t actually kill the boss etc.
I don’t know that gw2 has these mechanics, but if we are failing to kill a boss, and the rest of us have 12k dps, and one guy is only getting 2… then its fairly obvious to see where we are lacking as well.
It goes both ways, however the easiest method is not to include.
coming from wow hardcore raiding(multiple server first)… the pve here so far has been a cakewalk. So unless you’re running into instances where you don’t have enough dps(which is rare) then its never a problem.
Improper gearing might be more common in fractals at higher levels, in which case you can tell the guy is geared wrong, or dying too much and then you just need to politely tell him he’s not a good fit or he’s just not geared right, show him whats right, and find a replacement
Every post in this thread, save for the person trying to get people to use their DPS meter or whatever, is 9 months old.
Since his skeleton is hanging in the Priory I don’t think they can bring him back… it wouldn’t make any sense. They could redo the fight, but i’d much rather they work on other things instead… like fixing conditions… or making Cantha…
Technically, that’s just his tail in the Priory. And he had lots of tails (and lots of other body parts). I’m not saying we should all don the Tinfoil Hats and expect him to still be alive, but yeah, it’s just one of his tails.
Is the main account already subscribed for the newsletter from an earlier time? That could potentially be the case. No confirmation if you already are signed up.
Yeah, I’m not sure if they have the current GW2 accounts automatically signed up for the HoT newsletters. If that’s the case, it’d make sense that we wouldn’t receive another confirmation email. But I don’t know if that IS the case. And I didn’t sign up for any HoT stuff until this morning.
An hour or so ago, I signed up for the Heart of Thorns newsletter subscription (to be in the pool for a chance at doing a closed beta). I used my GW2 account email to do it. I still haven’t received a confirmation email for it. I signed up again on my second email (which I’ll be making a second account for soon), and I DID get a confirmation for that one.
I saw at least one other person mention a similar problem (not getting the confirmation on their main account email but getting one on a different email).
Yeah, I’m having the same problem, actually. No confirmation on my main account email, but I have one in my back-up account email.
Yeah, your mail looks full. Delete a message or two, and see if another one comes.
A warrior might be good. It’s all very hack and slash (not much reliance on creating combos). You do still need to make sure you’re able to move out of danger fairly quickly, though.
You could also look into a guardian. It’s simple to learn, and you have a lot of good group support skills and such, as well as Aegis and such to protect you on occasion.
Sell the ones you don’t need to a vendor. The end.
Yes, the confetti mail carrier is today’s sale item (and it does have the timer on it). There was the finisher on Monday, wings on Tuesday, pig on Wednesday, outfit on Thursday, and then the mail carrier today.
Bet you missed the 15+ Tequatl seen fighting the Pact airship fleet over Orr…
Well, those aren’t Tequatl. Those are Ogravros the Moondeath, Fafnarin the Heartslayer, Horrogos the Soulbreaker, and probably other mini-dragons we didn’t see the names of during Arah Story.
You know that makes me sad. Im weaponsmith AND armorsmith, but crafting ingots is a part of both of those, but you only get points for 1 craft. you should get them for both realistically. I dont see the need for ws and as to be 2 different crafts at all.
Unfortunately i started WS first, so that means i need to start over as AS. kitten
Making the leather version would be cheaper, I believe. Leveling to 500 in leather would be a little under 50g right now; going 1-500 for armorsmithing would be a few gold more. And then getting/making the elonian leather squares is a good deal cheaper than getting/making the deldrimor steel ingots.
I don’t have a source to cite. However, the 2 week versions of both the Airship Pass and Royal Terrace Pass, as well as the Permanent versions, have never been useable in the PvP Lobby. If it was an error or something they intended on changing, a statement about such would have been made at some point. Thus, I have to assume it’s either intended or a case of “eh, we’re not gonna change it anyway”.
I would suggest doing P1 and P2 again. One of those paths is likely the one you’re missing.
Ok, steps which resulted in reappearance of mysterious chests. I noticed that one item (Fang of tequatil) which I had seen as reward from main boss chest, but which didn’t appear in bags, was visible in the Hero Equipment panel. So I did a search of bags for ‘fang’ and the item visible. When I closed that search, ALL the other chests where now in the bags. If that’s not a bug I really don’t know what is.
Now to find a way to recover my two ascended recipes.
It sounds like you somehow just overlooked the location of the chests in your inventory. I’m not trying to call you dumb; this is something that happens to almost everyone.
As for your ascended recipes, are you sure you didn’t A) consume them or B ) accidentally put them in your bank or something? And how long has it been since you put in a ticket with support? As was suggested above, double check your email’s spam folder. If it’s not there and if it’s been more than three days, you can post your ticket number to the following post on the forums, so that they know to check up on the ticket.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/GW2-Tickets-for-Review-3-days-older/first
If, however, you submitted more than one ticket for the issue, you may have set yourself back and should close the extra tickets.
It is, indeed, intended. You can’t use most consumables in the PvP lobby and even in wvw.
Is your mailbox full?
My heart broke when I had to do the mission in the silverpeaks where you have to kill dolyaks and send their calves off with that charr to be raised for meat. Like seriously, it bothered me more than it should have.
That one made me feel really crappy, too. And the one in Bloodtide Coast where you’re supposed to console the sick/dying quaggans while waiting for the NPC to get to them to heal them nearly brought me to tears because said NPC don’t make it to all of them in time. So, the poor things just . . . die alone and suffering.
Champions were never meant to be solo friendly. Even elites can be really tough to solo, depending on their attacks. Normal and veteran mobs are what you solo. Been the case since forever.
So not true. Most champs in the game are soloable; not as quickly or as easily as vets, but it’s still doable.
He didn’t say they aren’t soloable he said they aren’t solo friendly. There’s a difference between the two. They are designed with the intention of them being killed in groups.
True enough.

Most champions in the game are still solo friendly, especially if you understand the mechanics. With the krait hypnosses you describe, you have to interrupt them when they raise their arms in the air (their tell for when they’re summoning other krait). The spider, from what I recall, doesn’t cocoon you if you stay in melee.
It takes practice, proper gear, proper traits, and more practice.
“Borje the Sun Chaser is Braham’s father and husband of Eir Stegalkin. He is described as having dark skin and was once a legendary hero. He arrived at Cragstead with Braham when his son was just a baby, and lived there the rest of his life until he passed away in roughly 1316 AE. On his deathbed, Borje forbade any message to Eir of his death, so that she would not stray from making her legend.”
Thanks for the info. I’d honestly never read about Braham’s father, so that’s pretty neat to know.
What Xiahou said. You’re missing one of the other paths.
There are some in LA that are bugged. It would be very nice to get GW support back.
Again, which ones are bugged? How are they bugging for you? I ask because I’ve yet to experience a single vista in this game that was bugged.
…Wasn’t he always black? o.o
He looked pretty white (just with some tan, like his mom) anytime I saw him.
Are you having trouble killing the Mouth during Estate of Decay? It’s common for players to have some difficulty there. And yes, sadly, NPCs are generally useless during Personal Story. I can offer some tips on fighting the Mouth:
If you’re unable to stay alive while just DPSing him, try hiding behind one of the pillars around him. Let the NPCs soak up the damage while they’re alive. Meanwhile, start pulling the adds circling the Mouth towards you (using a ranged weapon to do so). Once those are all dead, you can focus your damage on the Mouth. Plus, once the adds are dead, your NPCs will all be revived; so, they’ll be able to soak up damage for you again while you do as much damage as you can. Once he gets to around 50%, he’ll bring his adds back. So, you can go back behind the pillar if you want/need to and pull the adds again.
If you have the time, you can snipe down the mobs that are bringing the “food” to the Mouth, but they don’t heal him all that much. So, if they get past you, don’t worry about it too much.
Make sure you dodge his big attack (the one that gives you all the confusion), and be sure to not attack anything while you have confusion on you; try to either cleanse it ASAP or wait for it to go away.
Taking food that gives you extra power can help you do more damage, and taking Potions of Undead Slaying will also be very helpful there.
Honestly, I would like it if they could somehow implement a time limit on buy orders and sell listings. After insert number of months, the items are automatically unlisted. On top of taking down the no-longer-useable items.
I vote they get added to the laurel merchant like the other nodes.
The Star of Gratitude isn’t a node.
Interesting, so that is basically anyone that logged on at least once while Wintersday was around.
Exactly. But if they just deleted the letter, they’re probably SOL for now.
This isn’t necessarily directed to just you OP:
I have no idea why people think that it’ll be back on April 1st. It was on April 1st the first year largely as that year’s April Fool’s joke, but it brought back due to popularity. They will do a different April Fool’s joke every year. Last year was bobble heads. This year will be yet another prank.
Stop assuming that SAB has a greater chance to come back on April 1st. It doesn’t.
They would also reset your traits when used. It’s how people changed their builds. You had to pay for a manual every time you wanted to change builds.
No you didn’t. You bought the manuals (once per character) to unlock the Adept, Master, and Grandmaster trait sections. You paid the trainers a few silver to reset your traits, so you could change builds.
Do you refer to the wiki every single time you use the trading post?
Neither do I.
And most people, including myself, probably don’t expect to find defunct items on the trading post in the first place. They should have been removed completely from the game. Not just made non-functional.
And the manuals I am talking about don’t reset trait points, they ‘were’ used to increase the number of points that could be used in each line.
I consult the wiki or at least ask in map/guild chat if I’m looking at an item I’m not sure about. I also consult the wiki/other players when I notice an item that used to be needed is no longer available at the vendors that used to sell them.
I don’t disagree that items like that should just be removed from the game, including the trading post. But I personally also triple check things before I buy them.
But does it happen? Sure. But I don’t think as often as some people make out.
That’s how I feel about it, too.
I’ve run dungeons with my guild, often having to pug the last spot. I can’t recall a single time we’ve kicked someone at all, let alone just to bring in another guildie.
I’ve also run dungeons without any of my guildies. I’ve rarely been kicked from a dungeon (I can count the number of times it’s happened on one hand, and I wouldn’t even need all five fingers to do so). I can’t think of any time where I’ve been kicked from a party that was made of people from the same guild, either.
Yeah, adding Bandit Crests and Geodes to the wallet has been suggested many times already.
I don’t think skill points should be account bound, though.
24 hour? Even if “preview,” it is an unhanded marketing tactic that is unfriendly to our community and unfriendly to us as a consumer. Weapons behind RNG boxes and now this? PLEASE STOP THIS NON-SENSE!
They have done 24 hour flash sales before. This isn’t some new thing for them. It’s not “unfriendly to our community”.
Hm. I don’t really know of anything else that could go with it. The Armageddon armor (the heavy, that is) has a lot of spikes on it, but it’s not planty at all.
Would some Arah pieces work?
I am prepping my house to sell so I can get married. I was busy stripping paint, removing wallpaper, patching walls, cleaning to prep for painting and changing air registers. Excuse me if Guild Wars was not on my mind.
I’m glad your life is so incredibly simple that you can think to yourself, daily, ‘oh yeah, let me log into Guild Wars real fast!’. Congratulations. The world doe snot revolve around you, though, no matter what you have been told.
I have a husband, two kids (and one of them is too young for school, so he stays home), a dog, and two cats. I often miss fun in-game items due to the various responsibilities of adulthood. You’re not the only person in-game with real-life responsibilities, but most of us in that category are mature enough to realize that missing a temporary sale (especially for an item that WILL be back in the future) isn’t really all that important in the grand scheme of things.
As you said, the world does not revolve around any one person.
The only pieces of the sets that don’t look awful are the chest pieces. I’m getting close to my 17.5k chest, but I honestly don’t care about getting the armor skins. When I eventually get to the chests, that’ll be cool. But I prefer the gold, gems, account bonuses, and titles I get to the skins.
