The human story is pretty good, but I think the charr one is better. That’s just my opinion, though. And, as Red Queen pointed out, you have five character slots. Why not make one charr and one human?
Have you tried the Twilight Arbor armor? Or the Sylvari Cultural, if you’re a Sylvari?
He WAS available during the New Year stuff, but he’s not there anymore. Which is odd, considering he’s listed on the blog post.
On more than one occasion, I’ve pulled the Megadestroyer from it’s spot in the middle of the lava to the far side (the side that the zerg doesn’t sit on) when only me and a small group of other people were the only ones doing the pre events.
Do Silverwastes and the world bosses. Both of those will give you a good bit of blues and greens to salvage, including some armor. Always salvage cloth items. Always. The champ bags and such will get you bloodstone dust, and the big events will get you dragonite ore. Also, do dungeons and jumping puzzles to get you empyreal fragments.
I’m so sorry for what you’ve been through. I lost my brother suddenly last summer, and GW2 has been a big help for me to get through things. Oddly enough, just the other day I found an old CD he made me years back that actually had that song on it. I just thought that was a funny coincidence. And I want to say that I’m glad you have what seems to be a great support system.
It wasn’t. But you may have missed the “Memories of Home” buff that was on your bar throughout the entire Lunar New Year Festival (which was the GW2 equivalent of GW1’s Canthan New Year).
But you can continue feeling indignant anyway, if it makes you happy.
Sorry, I do not discuss anymore with people who don’t seem to get the point.
I don’t think you have a point, honestly. So, works for me!
Honestly, you most likely just switched your old zerker one out with a rampager one.
probably Mini Kasmeer Meade, Balthazar Outfit and Crystal Nomad Outfit
Mini Kasmeer is already in the game; she drops from Black Lion Chests.
I don’t know, I bought mine from the PvP vendor with Glory as well and it does count towards the achievement… Human t3 though.
You’d be the first person I’ve heard of who actually had it count towards the achievement. Just to be clear, I believe the achievement being discussed is the one that leads to The Emperor title, where you have to soulbind six armors of each tier of the cultural armors.
(edited by RoseofGilead.8907)
You bought them with Glory, so they don’t count and likely won’t ever. They want you to buy them for the full gold amount in order to get AP credit. Sadly, I just don’t see it changing. :\
Then why make it available in the first place?
Why does the T1 cultural armor rewarded through personal story lv20 counts? It doesn’t count for the achievement; it only unlocks it in your wardrobe. As for why they made it available, they probably did that to give the spvp players a chance to get it in their own game mode; they had many, many skins that you earned through spvp. I mean, spvp players were also able to get skins such as Infinite Light for an extremely small fraction of the cost that it’d cost to actually make or buy it on the TP.
In order to get infinite light, you need to be at least rank 70, using Phoenix tokens in Mystic forge, which not many players are able to do that.
Your concern is somewhat irrelevant.
It’s not a concern of mine; it’s just a similar situation with another very pricey skin.
Regardless, I don’t see them changing it so that the cheaper (or free) ways of getting the cultural skins are able to count for the Emperor achievement.

It’ll definitely be back in the future. We just don’t know when yet.
I honestly feel more and more disgusted by the cheap Korean game feeling coming from all these items that have nothing to do with Tyria and GW2 lore.
Happy ram baloons!

And ram balloons = Canthan New Year-related
Did I miss something? When was Cantha released in GW2?

You can buy any chapters you don’t have u nlocked for 200 gems a piece. You can buy it by going to your Story Journal and choosing the episode you don’t have, and then buying it.
No.
I’m loving the wing tattoos, OP and edgar.
There are going to be Masteries for the base game, as well as a separate set of Masteries for the expansion maps and such. So, I strongly doubt the base game will be empty/only have players who don’t have the expansion.
Regardless, as others said above, this is how expansions work. You can only play the content if you’ve paid for it.
Yeah, I could do without the butt plumage. I’d rather have the longer skirt with a slit, like what Anise has. But it still looks pretty cool.
I don’t buy gems ahead of time because, honestly, I don’t even think about the gem store unless I see a new item being talked about that I want. So yeah, I just don’t ever think about it at all.
Yay, I’m glad someone was able to get there (or close to it). I’ll start it up again with a new one.
You can’t turn off other players’ back items, but you can set the Character Model Quality to Low or Lowest; it’ll make it so you’ll only see model placeholders (generic models) instead of the actual armor and back items. You’ll still see their weapons, though.
Edit: Nevermind, I just tested it, and yeah, you can still see the back items.
(edited by RoseofGilead.8907)
I’m pretty sure all back items disappear in Death Shroud.
Do you know how to operate an arrow cart? If so, you’ll do just fine in normal wvw with FA!
Just kidding. Kind of. I would offer my own help, but I’m honestly not that great at mesmer. Definitely hit up Seal for some tips, though!
I cringe every time I make the mistake of trying the Lich outfit on my little Asura.
I believe it’s at least the third one. They can also wear the female version of the wintersday outfit.
I only know Wintersdays which was my first outfit when that event came out, but every other after that was male version until Imperial outfit.
Ancestral, Fancy Winter, Imperial, Witch, and Hexed all had female versions for Charr and Asura, so that’s 5.
I forgot about the Hexed and Witch ones. So yeah, five.
And I hope they keep bringing more with the female versions for those races.

The Ancestral outfit is female on Asura, at least. Edit: Just checked, and it’s female on Charr, too.

Yeah, I can’t find a way (short of using lots of experimental rifles and trick leaps) to get to it.
Honestly, pet AI is generally alright; some things could use a tweak or two, though. Minion AI, however, is a hot mess.
Please, no fishing.
I’d say “stop hoarding” is the clear answer. I don’t see them changing the time gated limit.
But Tab?? It -may- select another enemy, but following that up with a GS #3 will shoot me off in some random direction depending on what monster I happened to use as my untarget host.
I just use Tab to make myself stop attacking. If I plan to run away, I’ll turn myself around, click to fully clear any targets, and then run.
Congrats on finishing, OP! I’m currently finishing up completion on toon number five or six; waiting on one last POI in EB. I think it’s number six. I’ve lost count. I have too many alts.
OMG cute puppies. They’re so fluffy. I wanna cuddle them.

The first chapter’s wiki page is: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gates_of_Maguuma
There are pages for each of the other chapters, as well.
And yes, each episode is 200 gems IF you didn’t log into the game during each chapter’s two week release time frame. If you logged in during said times, you’ll already have them unlocked, and you’ll be able to start them from your Story Journal tab in the Hero panel; if you weren’t on during those times, you’ll have to buy the episodes you.
Whether or not it’s worth it is up to you. I personally would feel it’s worth it.
You saw what the reward was. Clearly, the reward wasn’t what you wanted. Yet, you still spent that much gold on the achievement. Why?
And as others have pointed out, you can farm those skulls (pretty quickly, too), make the darksteel, and then craft all the weapons yourself. That’s what I did for that achievement.
Seriously, I am not bashing the Guild Wars Franchise …
I find the that the irreverent use of the term Revenant to be woefully wrong in this instance, we will obviously deal with it like we always have in the past by choosing to ignore it. We will play our Revenants as if the word doesn’t have any true meaning except for the one provided for us. We will blindfold our eyes and pretend, and we will dumb down ourselves to someone else’s level because that’s what we allow of ourselves.
So, your complaint is that words can (and often do) have more than one meaning, and that Anet used a different meaning of “revenant” than the one you’re used to thinking of.
Redemption is my favorite “gold” dye, and it’s far cheaper than gold lion or pyre dye. If you want less orange in the gold, then there’s Daffodil, Lemon Zest, White Gold, etc.
When I started playing at release, Behe was like this mystical beast that everyone was terrified of. There was none of this “downleveled” business so there were no lvl 80s to help. Behe used to slaughter everyone that came to fight him.
When I started playing, no one was able to do Shadow Behemoth because it would get bugged for days to weeks at a time.
Since everything is so versatile what would be a good way to choose a profession
By whatever looks/sounds interesting to you. You could also do it by what type of gameplay you plan to do (PvE, WvW, sPvP), going for classes that do well in that/those particular areas you plan to play in.
I think…. What they should have done…. Is force everyone going through the storyline to do the “story” modes of each dungeon, before being able to move to next step of thier personal story. Maybe remove the word ‘personal’ from the storyline altogether.
I agree, getting arah done is a pita. but the reward from it is pretty lame, and doesn’t “Finish” the game anyway. It is not the “endgame”
So the people who do not like to do dungeons for personal reasons are locked out of more of the personal story than they are now?
Not everyone has a solid internet connection. Those people may avoid dungeons not because they don’t want to do them, but because they’re being nice to the other players they would be grouped with.
No thank you to this suggestion.
Well why are we forced to do the hardest dungeon of them all then?
Arah Story is one of the easiest dungeon paths in the game, if not THE easiest; it’s just very long. Arah explorable paths are the “hardest” in the game.
Edit: Also, I’m not sure what your above posts mean. In one you say that the story mode for all the dungeons should be required to advance the Personal Story. And then when someone said they don’t like that idea (for the record, I also think it’s a bad idea), you say “Well, why do we have to do this one?”.
(edited by RoseofGilead.8907)
You don’t actually need 5 people to do Arah story. I’m not positive if it can be done solo(never tried, but I think it can be), but I’ve done it many times with only two people. You do have the option to solo it; just enter the instance alone. Certainly, it probably won’t be a walk in the park, but I’m pretty confident that it’s doable. If you want, you can contact me in game sometime and I’ll run it with you. Sometime I’ll try it solo to see if it’s possible. But in the meantime, just say in the LFG tool that you’re doing it for the story and want to watch the cutscenes. I guess I’m lucky, but I’ve never run into a problem with the LFG tool when I say that I’m going to watch the cutscenes. Either way, feel free to contact me (Trafficone.5301). I’d be happy to run it with you at whatever pace you’re comfortable with.
You need at least two people to get past the first room (there are two pressure plates that need to be activated at the same time). The fights are indeed soloable, but a majority of players aren’t interested in soloing that kind of content because it requires lots of practice and knowing the fights before attempting said solos.
Sorry for being repetitive, but I really do need some help. Could anyone post some pictures of this axe in-game?
Yeah, I don’t think many people own this axe. So, if you want it, you’ll just have to use your preview window to make your decision.
Gloves may be Priory, too. They have the same diamond pattern.
Edit: Yup, Priory gloves. So…
Priory Chest and Gloves
Vigil Helm
Draconic Pants
Guardian Starter Shoulders
Chest looks like the Priory heavy chest.
I just press Tab if I need to stop attacking a mob. Pressing Esc just seems like a bad idea.
