Since I’m playing Ranger in GW2 (had no taste to play thief after 6 years of playing GW1 Assassin…), I’ve decided to redesign this class.
We all know that we’re greatly underpowered, not as useful, not as effective, not welcome in high-end dungeons.
For first, we have to ask: Why?!
- Maybe because of botters: Then suspend the reported accounts after 10-25 Bot Reports.
- Or the statics of Ranger users are not high enough to care yet: Classism!
So let’s get started! Rules in short:
- Ranged attacks can’t be the reason of low DPS when most of the foes shadowstepping in your face, or ranged attacking with AOE spells
- The effectiveness of different race’s Rangers should be only in Style, not stats.
( Sylvari: Nature style. | Norn: Hunter style. | Human: Mixed Hunter/technical style. | Charr: Technical style. | Asura: Alchemy/Anomaly style. ) - Rangers are weaker warriors with more mobility, not hippies with pets!
After you decided not to like this design by the rules, check the changes:
D-P-S & Combat:
- Melee weapons are used to hack’n’slash foes in the move
- Ranged weapons are used to shoot foes in the move
The base of this ideology is not to tank: Evade & Dodge meanwhile fighting.
Traits should support dinamic moving, not standing still.
Damages needs to be improved ofc.
PET Redesign:
I see these pets as helpful companions. They help in fight, buffing, debuffing, and when we seem to die, they saves us, like a true friend. This would be the main concept.
- They have to react very quick. No casting times on their attack skill or anything.
- Maximum 10% of total HP can be took in a single second, so they won’t die by one hit.
- Licking Wounds: Pet absorbes damage and heals, or even dragging us away from danger.
- PET’s buff skills ALWAYS received by the user, even if its out of its range.
- Every pat has 1 buff and 1 debuff to cotnrol.
Even the whole control needs a redesign here:
- F1: Attack / Return
- F2: Apply Condition
- F3: Apply Buff
- F4: Swap pet
- Attack Mode: PET attacks only and on time what we do (unless ordering it on another selected target with F1). Does not attacking any foe who hit us.
- Guard Mode: Absorbind gamages as long as they’re not ordered to attack (F1).
Examples for dual skill controlled pets:
- Black Eagle: Bleeding & Fury
- Grey Wolf: Fear & Might
- Black Bear: Vulnerability & Might
- Polar Bear: Chilled & Protection

Update #2: Since I had a lot of feedback about my WWW-PvE Cross Support System, I see that many player misunderstood it. I’ll try to make it clean now.
Q: Why is it important?
A: With this system, we would have a good reason to play anywhere we want (not only the lvl80 areas), and it will balance servers greatly.
Q: What good reasons?
A: Right now, the dinamic events are nearly meaningless and repeating themselves not a logical way. How much time did you escort Phlinx? Did anything changed? Its boring and failing: it means nothing in a big sence.
Q: How would it balance the servers?
A: There are 3 major kind of servers, specialised on different activity: WWW/PVP, PvE/Roleplay, and both in the same time. Meanwhile PvE servers can’t manage to get WWW achieved buffs, WWW servers having them without big needs.
The system will balance all of these. I’ll explain it again:
When the PvE oriented server tries to earn something in WWW, they’ll figure out that their skills can’t defeat those who play WWW most of the times. Outnumbered greatly. They won’t achieve server buffs, they won’t play more WWW, and players will change servers.
But with the CSS, they’ll have a lot of support in the battlegrounds, and they will be able to earn the buffs.
- All the buffs they earn by playing PvE, will help them in WWW.
- WWW achieved buffs will help them in PvE.
Consequences: They’ll play both with success!
Q: Why is it good for WWW servers?
A: The buffs they earned in the battlegrounds will be inspiring to play PvE contents, and help those who want to level up, explore, complete dungeons/story quests.
When they start to play PvE too, their WWW forces will be weakened. Don’t worry!
As they play PvE, they getting buffs for WWW, so their overall force won’t drop!

I would like to know, why my 101% crit dmg ranger has 1500 to 2800 damge jumping without any reason… No buffs, no conditions.
A constant 2800 crit dmg would be nice, but that only happens 1 of 10 times somewhy.
As I’ve wrote earlyer:
- My fullBerserker ranger on Ember: 13 sec
- FullTank Warrior: 4 sec

Looks like a Server/Client issue for me.
I know other high-end PC owner players beside me, and even we have 10-20 FPS when a WorldEvent goes. Not to mention those who come to help, but ending in an Overflowed map without dragon/boss…
Full Low graphic settings with 1024×786 resolution did not helped us.
Maybe CPU can’t handle this much information…
I suggest the client to not load player’s effects when FPS drops below 30…
And a whole priory reorder in the client.

A question…
Before the feb.26 patch, I had much worse drops than any guildmates.
Contacted the Support, and they told me about the issue in the loot rolling system.
So I waited.
My guild mates has +0% MF, while I have 0 to 50% MF during the test of this issue.
Since the “drop fix”, I see that ~70% of killed foes does not dropping a single item.
In the IRL night hours, my drops are acceptable if I’m in a full party. Rares dropping rarely, but since days, World Events & Big Chests dropping me greens, meanwhile I made a lot of damage on the Boss, and reveived a lot of player in the middle of AOEs.
Otherwise, I have very minimal loot rolling at dungeons. Blues only, maybe a tonic…
Yesterday, I’ve killed many creature in Cursed Shore (and met with a LOT of Bots),
but they did not dropped a single porous bone that I have most of the time.
Not the first time this happens…
I’m eager to know how can I get acceptable loots with my Ranger…

Dynamic auto-targetting: If you cast a longer ranged skill, you’ll see that if the target dies, your arrows/bullets hits the ground. It would be much better if these skills auto-retarget, so the dmg won’t be lost.
Music mixing rescript: You don’t even have to pay attention.
The soundtracks are used to blend in the games and make them feel more epic.
All Costs Influence: Building a Guild Hall, then Upgrading it should cost influence, not gold (like in GW1)
Unique Style UI for every profession: It meant to have originally, or selecatble without mods. Even GEMStore should sell upgraded looks.

- Only 100b: 33k dmg in solo, my guildmate did it. Berzerker sett, ~80% crit dmg
- Rapid shot: my record was 11987 with other skills and 101% crit dmg.
So yeah. When you trait a warrior, it will outrun you 3 times.
Killing an “EMBER” in Malchor’s Leap solo: - Tank Warrior with GS: 4 seconds
- My full Berserker with LB then GS: 13 seconds
So even a fully tank builded warrior can kill 3 times faster than our fully berserker rangers with ascended gears. No excuses. Terrible balance.

In my opinion, our beloved class is still BS @ effectiveness.
Some says, its ranged, so it don’t needs high damages when I has 101% crit dmg.
Fire Fire Fire Bang! The foe reached me already. Risens shadowstep in my face.
Avoid with Lightning reflexes quickly? It ruins 10% of my dmg then. Pets will no tank for you anymore…

Yeah… the only reason I can go to any dungeon or fractials is because people know that I’m pushing out the maximum of every game – with my gaming skills.
Those who don’t know me… they just ask me to fakoff and inviting an other class.

Look, I just want to have equal damages to warriors, since I have +100% cir dmg with all-dmg build, and currently, killing the same enemy in 13 seconds instead of their 3.
1v5? Yes, versus NPC foes.
In PvP, 1v1 as it should been balanced yet. The skill of the player should bring victory, not the overpowered classes and rock-paper-scissors stupidity.
If a class is op, trolls will rage, normal ones will ask for attention and balance.
We, rangers, are heavily under powered. There is no point to rage on anyone, except on Arenanet. So they do so.
But when 12yo Thief kids fullRAGE the forums about how OP the rangers are when they can’t kill us in seconds (not even braking stealth), they reacted on that and nerfed us…
Maybe our weakness cames from botter activity…

Preventing Gold-Sellers
Dual GEM type system. Every Gemstore item has two gem prices:
- Blue GEM that you can buy with game money and can backchange it for game money. Synced to the normal ingame profits. (5g/day)
- Red GEM. Bought only with GEMCards. You can buy items, synced to worth of the real money, and direct-change it to game gold with a close ammount that Goldsellers can provide.
The Red GEM needed becouse of manipulated and overpriced back-transfering.
Currently: $25 gives you 2,000 GEM, which is ~28,gG. With this same money, you can get 50 to 60g, depending on goldsellers. Not worth to backchange it in these prices.
Most of the players will understand that they might receive a bit less game gold from Arenanet, but its legal and they support the company, meanwhile goldfarmers won’t work that effective because of it. Less hacked accounts btw.
OR just manually remove the goldsink in the system. It is not necessary at all.

I had some time to specate some bots at the top of Cursed Shore (ML’s portal).
A Ranger and a Warrior bot soloed a Champion in like 30 seconds…
As far as I see right now, botters using ranger because of tanking pets and ranged damage, plus Licking Wounds if they’re downed. I don’t know how can they use that skill in the moment they getting down, since I have cooldown on it (what is enough to die meanwhile.)
So? Licking Wounds should be replaced with a getting-away skill. That may helps, but…
botters will still use them as I feel. So we have to deal with botters in the first place (because ranger is weak because of ’em), but how…
10-25 report on botting users gives 1 then 3 then 6 then 12 then 24 then 78 then perma hours ban automaticly?
Combined with my PvE redesign, no bots can farm in safe location.
Why they did not employ’d me already? ^^

All they did is to give opportunity to play as you like. And you should appreciate it.
Teamwork is an exception. Trinity is essential, and always will be.
Its simple. You need Damage. You or someone or all of you need to take damages too, and self-heal yourself if possible.
Now you can have a team that plays as they want and has good stats on all 3 kind, or an old fashioned party, where there are players who deal more damage, or can took more, and one who don’t fights, just supports by healings/buffs/removing conditions.
The two playing style is equal. No one is better than the another.
If the people wants trinity while you won’t, then continue searching, or go with your friends/guildies, maybe switch server to a better one, where players aren’t so dumb.

No they don’t. A ranger isn’t a shooter class, it’s a “nature” class. The bow has always been the main weapon of rangers. Rifles are for ‘developed’ classes, such as the engineer.
LoL at you…. Its *RANGE*r. Not “nature” class, even if some hippie or arenanet thinks that.
It would be good if we can “snipe” with rifles. Only problem is that it requires no skill at all. Bows neither

This problem annoys me more and more by the time -.-’
- I’m trying to catch up an event, but my GS ranger autoaims something backwards that I didn’t even had on my screen. I’m talking about 10k ranges.
- Shooting an enemy in front of me, then it automatically shoots up a champion that I didn’t meant to lure in yet. Party death, how good is that!

PVP: I’m playing as a condition “damage” ranger with shortbow and axe/horn.
I’ve noticed that I’m a priory target due to rangers weakness. I think they say “Oh a funny ranger, 1hitkill him and go on the rest”. If I play with a Necromancer, no1 gives a kitten until I’m not touching their face agressively. And I deal much more damages…
It is also funny when a warrior cames by and downes me with 4-5 autoattack greatsword slash, meanwhile I have 20k hp. ^^ Licking Wounds are kitten useless.

Looks like I didn’t copied some line from my old thread. There we go:
Commander Title Markings
Commanders should place easy spotted markings on the map they’re playing on.
Not just badge-like signs, but big:
- colored arrows to show where to go
- crossed swords to show what to attack
- shield to show what to defend in-must
- 3helm icon to show where to rally up.
- Icons to highlight known enemy zerg routs
It should be like the Generals work on real battlefields.

Update: A guildmate did some scratch for his own ideas, mostly WWW. I’ll help him by translating and formating it, then he’ll post them in the right topics.

Basicly, the game is under develop for 5(!) years. (It was announced March 27, 2007)
The release was in "12 August .28, so the game is 175 days old now. This is 6 months, not including the Beta Tests. If you think why they did not fix Rangers yet, think about how many giant issues this game has. Mostly made when they scratched some design…
Let them some time to work. (Even if you see facebook posts about AN cupcake parties)
Rangers will be balanced. Until that, you can keep playing it much more slower than other classes, or try out a new class and race with their “unique” story line.
Yesterday I’ve found out why to like my pathetic berzerker damages.
I have to hit a foe 43524637486 times with my Dhuumseal (GS), which looks like a bit of DMC game. Think the same and you may don’t get upset that much.

@ Ascended & Legendary Stat only Transmutes: Its not pay2win.
If you get a Legendary or Ascended ranked weapon for example, you can change its stats with this transmute. But only if you have one matching already. It can be used to get the right stats for your ex.: Twilight if you want it as a crit dmg variant.
So you’ll just change stats, not upgrade an exotic onto legendary. That would be silly move.
@ Hairstyles: I just ask for more, and more vatiants. Mirroring one is hell simple and a good for many.
@ Mystic Salvage kit: The name is my fault, sorry. I’ve written it right after release, when I didn’t knew there is one alrady. This one meant to not destroy the item if you want to get out the upgrade. Just like Perf. Salvage kit in GW1.
I’m not going to list them agian, but one thing is sure: The most of my suggestions are not effecting gameplay effectiveness at all. These are going on style and customization.
GEMStore should offer these. Unnecessary but cool looking things we’re willing to pay for.

The best if they release a serious amount of TP-only items (Skin Transmutes and town clothes!), so we want ‘em all but no game gold is enough for everything. We’ll buy GEMcard then ^^

Guild Banners
If we chose to help the other players from different guilds, make it a bit profitable. Placed guild banner boosts gives 1 to 5 influence points to the guild per accounts gained its benefits.

We had it in GW1. Now we must use out-game websites? Just the most important informations. Full Server view: Name, Location of action (Corsed Shore), Name of Action (Dungeon/Events/Explore/Gathering/Story/LARP), Level (Sticking: P1, +p2 etc, fullRun) , Join Party Request button
Party Arrangement
In the Guild window, a Party-arrangement tab helps us to organize ourself.
With an option to sign up, and the game follows the signed-up players, so it can show that there is a party arrangement for “Any Dungeon Run”, it says: Starts at 18:00 GMT+1, and “Royal Predator” is offline, while the others are online.
Guild Member Log time
Just like in GW1. An option to check when did the player logged-in last time.
Spawn able (with consumable) furniture and stuffs
Desk with food & drinks, Party Grill, Guild Flag, Throne Chair, etc.
These things should be interactive, so we can sit/cook there, or something else.
Home
In Home District Editable Home building, where we can purchase furniture, pictures / weapons / trophies on the walls. New kind of HoM. Or rebuild that.
Report option on Cheaters and botters & tempban them after an amount of report

Anywhere. Just like in AION. An ability to challange anyone onto Duel.
Chatlogs: “Duel engaged between Y & X” – & – “X defeated Y in a duel.”"
Possible bets?
Ranked Guild Bank
The idea is: Guild Bank system should be ranked.
It means, there is Tier 1, 2, 3 bank slots, and the guild can chose which ones can the actual guild rank members use.
Example:
At guild rank manager, we give permission for normal members to use Tier 1 bank slots in Guild Bank.
It means that normal members can only use that ""bag"", and can’t withdraw from Tier 2 and 3. Only Deposit.
For officers, its allowed to use Tier 1 and Tier 2 bags, so they can use both. Leaders and high-rank members can have Tier 3, allowing them to use all 3 bags.
This way, we’re able to chose which ranked players can withdraw those items we put in the guild bank.
So, if I’m a high rank member, and I want to place a crafted armor set to a normal guild member, I’ll put it in Tier 1, so they can get it out without asking me or another guildies with permission."
Guild Bank Material slots
Just like personal bank, but 500 to 1000 slot material storages.
Plus option to “Deposite collectible onto Guild Bank”
More serious Character Customization
I think there is a giant misunderstanding…
We see clones again, just like back in GW1. We hate it.
If we want to make our own ""heroes"", let us customize it in much more options.
More of: pre-made faces, haircuts, beards, body types.
Should be scale-able, like was in AION. + Limits should synced to each other, preventing anatomy anomalies.
Correction needed on skin and hair colors, and models+textures+shaders needs a rework. Smoother edges and color corrections.
When its updated, as a nice sign of fairity, give us at least one free “Heavy Makeover Kit” per every account existing."
Custom UI selecting
Themes, scale customization on parts. Different shaped and colored UI textures, so every profession can get a their own style.
Setting saved on each character. Warriors can use dark “thief” style UI if they want, and vica versa.
Guild Alliance
Just like in GW1. It’s vers useable! In plus, give an option to name our alliance.
Like if “Pirates of the North [YaRR]” & “Black Pearl Crew [See]” makes alliance, they can name it to “Pirates of Tyria”.
Alliance influence for Alliance-wide upgrades and buffs.
Would be good, if the Alliance’s logo and tag shown at Guild Capes and member names when targeted. As a cape frame or something.

Hela! Topics with [iR] prefix – contains my splitted parts of a huge Excel doc that contains ideas for doubling the gaming experience of ArenaNet’s “Guild Wars 2”.

PLAYERCARDS
Targeted players has a little “playercard” with their name, icon, active effects, titles, health. This should be improved with more and more stylish variations optained with completed actions.
Achievement points gives the background (None, Normal, Rare, Exotic, Legendary, GodForged kind)
And titles should be signed with little badges, so we can see by one click how experience much the player has in dungeons, WWW, PVP, or else. Earned title based.
Emotions
We’re waiting for emotions update.
AION had great /emotions…. In a style.
The most important, these emotions had objects.
So if I do /drink, my char had a bottle of wine, and drinked.
/eat: A piece of cake in my hands. How cool!
Anyway, multiple emotions would be cool. I can’t understand how the hell can any human dance only one way, sit only one way, do anything only one way.
/dance /dance2 /dance3 etc etc
/sit /sit2 /sit3 etc etc
Emotions should have sound effects also. Playing on instruments too.
Preview Window Redesign
List of improvements needed for this, when the game is about collecting skins as prestige. “1: Characters should seen in full. No cut-off parts at big chars.
2: Full zoom by using mouse wheel. Helps to look close at little details.

These points are special. What if we can get special items?
Like trading these for gems, special skin weapons and armors, special ability to get inside somewhere, or to buy non-our-faction items?

EPICNESS in Fights
There are tricks to give depth to battles.
I know I won’t say new things, but they’re not good enough in the game:
- Battle background noice. Yelling warriors, raging risens, steel crashes; murmur in overall.
- Tactical yells to tell us where we need to go and help. But more agressive way. Thackeray’s voice… It was demoralising for a lot of us.
- Battle Rage. Quantity makes Quality here. If we have a big fight against risens, make them much more in quantity, but more weak. Let us slay lots of them by 1-3 hits, so we’ll feel like a true slayer, while they keep up the same damage.
To compensate it, take ""Brutals"", or some kind of special enemy that can knock, daze, stun, blew away us, so we still need to pay attention. - Replace that very awkward victory cheering sound effect. I’ll be rude. It’s pathetic. This sound alone can make joke about all the fight we done.
- Real destruction. Place brakeable walls, windows, wooden fort objects at these fights, so we’ll see “The world burning”, and feel its weight. Don’t let us think “Oh, we’ll restart, who cares?”.
Anyway, if a road or bridge half-collapses under siege, we can still go by jumping on the remaining planks/stones.
Sound effects needs to be deeper and stronger, focusing on hit force. These weapons have very nice sounds in real life.

Headgear
Headgear is a very important piece. It can gives the main way of a character look.
There are houndreds of possibilities, variations that can be made easy and cheap.
Crowns, Hoods, medium helmets, light caps. Full dye areas for all 3 kind of armor type.
Multiple variations would be great. At least 5 differend design. I prefer 1 or 2 skin of each style.
Back Gear
So, GW2 has a feature to get guild bags in this slot.
We need a lot kind of models to put here:
Different shaped capes (Full, Half, Shoulder (left side), crest, robe, flag/banner, spearflag, necklace, flagged-halfwing, etc), quivers, skulls/bones, totems, backpacks, miniature animals on shoulder, etc.
Purchased at Guild Armorer by unlock. All kind of Exotic ranked stat variation.
+ Receipes to craft them.
Armor & Weapon Variety
Some modifications, and we can have 5 or more of the same style piece from Dungeons! With this trick, there is more item to chose from without new models.
Dungeon Armor Effects
Like the weapons, these armors should have the same effects.

This two gift is excellent to make a Legendary weapon. If anyone decides to buy a precursor instead of making it, he saves one Gift. If he buys a Legendary, he saves both Gifts. Its motivating enough to buy Legendary weapons when someone wants a Godforge piece or set."

There is some Legendary weapon we can craft within a decade. But there should be at least 5-10 different model of each kind.

X+1 Achievement Solution
It is known that many players can’t, or just won’t play WWW for Monthly Achievement completition. With an easy trick, we can get anyone to care about these features.
X+1 means we have to complete X achievement from the list (Its 5 in Daily) to get the basic reward for it, but the users have a new decision which one they want to skip. Like if they want to skil WWW, they won’t complete the 50 kills, but they have a new task to work on, so they still can make it.
Monthly Achievement Example:
1: 50 kills in WWW
2: 500 Item to salvage
3: Place minimum of 10 gold in Bank Account
4: 100 Events to complete
5: Revive 200 Teammate
6: Kill 100 of same race.

It should allow players to earn special conversations, dialogues, some opportunity to get special rewards like the same kind/stat of weapons/armors/accessories, but different style – if their level is high enough (Dominating at 75%).

MORE ENJOYABLE LEGENDARY CRAFTING
Here I show you how the legendary process should work in my opinion.
Currently, Legendary weapons are made for farmers, cheaters and exploiters right now.
Sorry, but its deep BS. These should be optained with real skills.
This example is based on legendary weapons, but can be applied on Leg. armors in the same way.
Getting Legendary items should be a real skilled process.
Its pathetic to buy the most of the items by grinding and farming. It should show off real playing talents.
We have to use the Mystic Forge:
Step 1, Upgrading a special to Precursor:
Dungeon Weapon or max stat Exotic Weapon or Pact token optained base weapon
+ Mystic Gift (Combined by 4x 500 Token Gifts)
+ Zommoros Support (500 Skillpoint)
+ An Elemental Stone (Exchange for 1 Gift of Explorer)
= PRECURSOR (SoulBound to crafter) (Drops are the soldable not-yet-bounded versions)
Step 2, Upgrading a Precursor to Legendary:
Precursor
+ Legendary Part 1 (like “Legendary Greatsword Blade”)
+ Legendary Part 2 (like “Legendary Greatsword Handle”)
+ Soul Stone (Exchange for 1 Gift of Explorer)

For a Legendary, we need a precursor. Precursors are ultra rare drops, and irrelatively high valued. Players needs a way to make their own precursor, using non-boughtable (or at least harder to buy than game gold) rewards by playing the game. Dungeon weapons are handly, a good base. Mystic Gift should prove the worth of the player. To optain it, the player needs to put 4 Gifts from 4 different dungeon into the Mystic Forge.
Then, a Zommoros Support thing for 500 skillpoint, which proves the spended time on the character.
For the last piece, an Elemental Stone, which makes the precursor’s basic style. These are exchange items for Gift of the Traveller that we optained by 100% Map discovery.
So by proving our basic skills and playtime, we got a soulbounded precursor weapon for the character we used.
Now we’ll make a Legendary.
The Precursor is the base. I suggest to add twoancient part and Soul to the weapon, so it can be called Legendary in real.
- Legendary Part 1 should be called like “Legendary Greatsword Blade” or “Legendary Longbow Stave”
- Legendary Part 2 should be called like “Legendary Greatsword Handle” or “Legendary Longbow String”
Needs level400 of crafting: Orichalcum bases, and one special optained item, T6 Rare materials + Mystic Force.
A Leg. Greatsword blade: a ""Vial of Mystic Force"" what keeps the shards together (1 vial for 500 SkillPoint), and 3 of special legendary shard which is optained from a hard Jumping Puzzle with solo fights, or something else hard-to-just-buy way.
Upper, Middle, Buttom sword blade shard for example.
A Leg. Gs. handle example:. Needs 3 legendary weapon shards, an another vial of Mystic Force, and a ""Trust of Tyria"" token for 250,000 Karma. A Legendary shard should be optained with 1000 Badges of Honor.
Until this, its still much more progressive than simply buying all the materials from TP using grinded/exploited golds.
If players must have level 400 craftings, things like “Vial of Mystic Force” and “Trust of Tyria” can be separated onto 3 or 4 pieces, and can only put together with crafting, and maybe a high value receipe (50+50 gold)
The fourth piece is a Soul Stone, can be exchanged for 1 Gift of the Explorer.
Legendary weapons must have at least 5% more damage and stats, maybe 10%.
If they just has more minimal damage, maybe its more acceptable.
Let the players feel its worth, not just by the liked skin."
For those who still has time and energy to level up his gear on his char, a new class called “Godforge” should be made.
Godforge items made by putting 2 Legendary, a Godstone and a Blessing of the Six into the Mystic Forge.
Godstones worth 1000 Skillpoints, while Blessing of the Six is bought for 500,000 Karma
These items are serious, has super cool effects, +10 to 20% effectiveness, and/or double upgrade slots.
Godforge items can’t be sold on TP, Can’t be sold to Merchants. Can be salvaged with BL Salvage kit for fix 250 Ecto. (in case the player wants another one)
I prefer not using stacks of materials for Legendary items, just skill-proving challange rewards. These kind of weapons shouldn’t cost more than 100 Gold. We should just pove our skills to the Gods, so they support us with ancient pieces.

More serious Character Customization

Remember this? I think there is a giant misunderstanding.
We see clones again, just like back in GW1. And we hate it.
If we want to make our own “heroes”, let us customize it in much more options.
More of: pre-made faces, haircuts, beards, body types.
Should be scale-able, like was in AION. + Limits should synced to each other, preventing anatomy anomalies.
Correction needed on skin and hair colors, and models+textures+shaders needs a rework. Smoother edges and color corrections.
When its updated, as a nice sign of fairity, give us at least one free “Heavy Makeover Kit” per every account existing."
Guild Member XP Rank-leveling
Just an optional option: For an amount of Influence earned, the members should level-up in Ranks. This detail can be enabled by the guild leaders or anyone who has premission.
Unique style UI for every profession.
Nearly the same, but different colors and unique frames.
If possible, let us chose the UI Theme styles in the Options menu. Customization here is same important. People customizing their PC desktop for the same reason, and we take it serious.
Guild Bank Requests
There should be a log tab, where people can do requests like:

SOLUTION FOR EMPTY AREAS \\ Unique WWW-PVE SERVER BALANCE
==> The “WWW-PvE Cross Support System”
Every MMO has this illness, and GW2’s downgrading system is the first essential step, but its not yet enough.
I call it “Dinamic Economy Areas”
First: Equalize loots for the level the char has. If someone on level80 goes back to level10-15 areas, he needs same drops as in high-level areas, except the gathering. This will prevent overflooded lvl80 areas.
The next step is very complicated to make, but this feature may saves the game at all.
My concept is: ALL GAME AREA has dinamic events about gaining WWW and Economy support.
Players will see towns and NPCs in states depending on the Area’s condition. It can be:
- Balanced (Normal look, normal WWW support gain, normal prices),
- Lost (Damaged buildings and fields, enemies camping inside towns/villages/forts, higher prices, minimal or no WWW support gain)
- Captured (NPCs building new buildings, Extra WWW support gain, better prices)
If the area is in “Lost” state, players need to recapture it from the conqueror forces who camped in destroyed towns and villages, killed NPCs.
When players “Balanced” the area, it will become more friendly, prices will be better, as well as loots (compensating the less enemy activity). Otherwise, they have to guard it with the NPCs, because enemies want those values badly.
If the players do really good work and capture the whole area, the enemy activity will be minimal, and they try to invade in waves (1 hours peroids). To compensate it again, prices will be even better than in “Balanced” state.
So, when players in PvE areas guarding NPCs, support caravans, capturing forts/vilalges/camps, more blueprint can be bought, more supply can be mined in WWW with some other extra benefit.
PvE Activity will make WWW better. It means a server needs to focus 50-50% on both PvE and WWW
When players earn success in WWW, the server is rewarded with bonuses like stat buffs, bit better drops, special opportunities, unque skins, etc.
Since the game has server instanced areas (and not fully open like we expected), its more easy to combine it with my custom weather and skymaps. Lost state has clouds, smoke, it should look a bit depressive. Balanced is normal. Captured state should bring a nice rainbow as a stylish sign." Metal, Wood, Food, Medical supplies, War supplies (Armor/Weapon), soldiers/workers gained from these areas – to make it logical and realistic.
Dinamic Event Resets
All event needs a hidden timer to complete,
so in case it stucks by game bug, they don’t need server reset." Optional: “Reset in every half hour in when its not running properly”
Ugly High Shadering
At maxed out graphic settings, shaders looks pathetic. I’m not the one who dislike.
Light reflection on characters are very strong. Reduce it please. O.o
All map textures looks wet. No material feeling on any of these textures. They need much better shaders at maximum settings. Even optional parallax textures on: Self, +Friends (party, friendlisted and guild members), +everyone closeby.
Please try to make more realistic material looks.
More Hack’n’Slash like dinamic animations
It will give more feel of force and the NPC creatures should behave much more realistic. No more one spot turn.
Seriously, they need a huge redesign.
Ranged Looting
Ranged kills should have loots like in WWW, spawned at player. "Just because its bit pathetic to “ninja” between foes to get loots as ranger.
If I just wait, the loot disappears sadly…

Profession Weapon list Redesign
Everyone knows, locked weapons and skills will be a huge problem in the future.
It isn’t hard call to make weapon skills choseable (different conditions for example), but professions are messed up here anyway. Here is a logical and realistic list of aditional weapons should be useable by:
Ranger: Sword (main hand), Pistol (offhand at least), Dagger (offhand at least), Rifle
Thief: Sword (both hand), Axe (Main hand), Rifle
Mesmer: Sword (replacing greatsword), Pistol (offhand), Dagger (offhand)
Elementalist: Just offhand dagger
Engineer: ALL weapon type, all slot. This will make an universal class if the skills designed well."
Hounds of Balthazar
Some changes needed: Scale the dog’s models x2, and remodel it if possible. Make them brutal look. Now they look like big fat puppies.
Effectivity: When they jump in, big AOE Critical damage. Then they damage like normal pets as long as they live."
Prayer to Dwayna
is unuseable. “I’ts non water, it heals less, it reloads 10 seconds more. What is the point of this skill?
Would be better heals bit less, but gives some seconds of regeneration.
OR it should heal as more as less health we got.
OR fully heals us out with depending recharge.
OR heals nearby allies too.”
Prayer to Lyssa is also unuseable.
It should have longer recharge and longer random buffs of ANY KIND."
Elite Skill Durations
20 seconds of buffs are good for one wave, but they’re still not exactly “elite” category. "Elite skills with buffs should last longer, 60 seconds to 5 minutes, and reload slower instead.
I would make them non-timed, great transforms (with a lot of Gemstore variation) with useable and stylish skills.
These skills should be real epic, and much more useable. The effects they has can be ""neutralized"", because some skill and weapon deletes buffs for example. A basic amount (1 of 25) will still be on the player.
Spirit forms of Norns are weak, hard to control, there is no heal, and even have low quality textures on maximum graphic details.
In my concept, ELITE skills are mostly attacks and transformations.
Some ELITE Transformation should replace the ultility skills and the healing, and has really special effects.
Animated sheated weapons
Like in AION and VINDICTUS, most expensive weapon should have an animation when sheating. Example: A longbow folds itself when sheated on back, making the character look much more awesome with this new compact look. Dredge Greatsword is a good example. Its now “half folded” state. Compact it when sheated, and expand it when in hands. Isn’t it designed to have moving parts?

WWW Blueprint Variety
If we want to make WWW a real battlefield, we need more war-technology. List: "Moving & Shooting Mounts:
- Charr WarTanks (Tank, built by 500 Supply, Heavy ranged damage, Shoots like arrow-barrage, catapult, flamethrower)
- Charr BattleCycle (Motorcycle, Built by 100 Supply, shoots arrow-barrage)
- Asura Golem Suit (Exoskeleton, Built by 200 Supply, shoots rocket-like things in shoulder for range, punches X% of health in close range)
- Supply Caravan (Built by 600 supply, players can pick this 500 supply up at any place it moved to)
Placed:
- Traps for Damage, Cripple, Burn, Poison, Knockback, or even better, lure some kind of mobs on them.
- Barricade walls (to block enemy forces on road, or trap them inside a tower/building/cave/valley)
- Conquered Place/Race specific Turrets (Like Dredge or Quaggan things that can be only optained by them, only if their territorry is friendly)
- Weapon Stacks (Special weapons to equip by X amount of player. These can be special rifles, or any weapon for any profession. Charr Sniper Rifles with 2500 Range and heavy damage with long casting.
Note: These weapons needs high effectiveness, slightly above an average player’s skill abilities) - Armor Stacks – giving toughness buff for allies.
- Named Totems (Charr Totem, Gravl Totem, Bone Totem, Elemental Totem, Gods Totem, etc). These are planted totems and gives special bonus in range as long as they stand. Enemy – 50 to 100 of all skillpoint, +50 to 100 to all ally skillpoint, applied combo fields has double to 5 times more effectiveness, 10 to 30% to get Fear when using a skill (cooldown 10 to 20 seconds), or anything useful.
These things should be ranked, so Normal, Superior and Greater versions available, the more effect it has, the more it costs, more health it has and more supplies needed to build.

WWW Fort Capture Reward Chest
Killing Lord of a WWW fort should give us a reward chest that contains some of:
- Badges of Honor
- Random Blueprint
- Bag of Coins
- Random Booster
NOTE: Captured Forts shouldn’t be captured for 1 to 2 hours
This will prevent ""train farming"", and gives enough time to upgrade forts for defending."
3 Stage moving system
I think we need some improvement here:

I’m playing as Ranger main, and I found it boring and half-done in Guild Wars 2.
Some advices: In Real Life, Rangers are kind of thieves in combat.
They should hit with heavy damages from distances, and fast shots with less damage.
A long casting but heavy damage and long distanced longbow skill would be a nice ultility skill. -50% attack speed for +50% damage.
*Point Blank shot: Knockback at close range, knockdown only in longer.
- Zaphir Quickness: More duration, and/or +15% quickness for 10 seconds if endurance is full.
Self source healings are ignored. Other heals still effective. - Downed skill 2 and 3 should worth something in PVP. It does not help as much as any other profession’s downed skills. Pet should drag us away, or shield us to heal without getting interrupted/finished. I’ts very pathetic when every other classes can just run away or completely return within seconds, and rangers can do nothing good.
- Longbows should fire bit faster. We can’t even hit a target because of spawn kitten players. Opening strike can be this.
Now Rangers are silently nerfed, while they should deal much more damage. I’m on full crit dmg build, and the maximum damage I do with a single skill is ~9900, while a warrior or thief can do 15,000 to 26,000 in same time.

Animal Interactions There are rabbits, frogs, mosquitos, rats, racoons on the ground. “What if we can get interacted with them, gaining some kind of boost?
Like the rabbits gives Luck for 5 minutes, or the frog gives chill on attack for some hit, rats gives chance to cause weak poison, etc.
The gained buff is kind of Nurnishment, but won’t replace what we have on. Has cooldown, can’t stack it.”
