Let’s say we want to check HoT, because we find the base game terribly boring by now… +2 years.

So, apart from being rolled out from sign-ups, all we can do is to grind.
I agree, it is more than a simple “RNG”, just saying it’s a really bad design to improve our chances.

Exactly! But this should be an option within game settings instead.
FYI it’s a common way to keep up game performance, but we really could handle this, at least on our own character.

Luck on rolling your name out were always the methood, and increasing your chances with actions (like share, like this and that…) are the boosts usually.
In this case, they ask us to do what we shouldn’t. To Grind for it….

Even if it were a map with queue – would be better choice IMHO than farming mobs for an item that’s same “well optainable” than a precursor.

I’ve seen some nice idea mentioned above this post and I really hope AN changes their methood for the selection.

So far I would be happy for a nice hood collection…

Look up my redesigns and compare it to the game changes – there are a nice amount of ideas released in their own taste.

Hi Gradinar! I’ve made a deeper look on your design’s points, goals and flaws.
The very first thing that I’ve seen clearly is the compactivity of the panels, which are great changes for experienced players, but not for the casual “coming by” kind of players this game, Guild Wars 2 aims at.

The point you may misunderstood from the current UI is the clarity, which intended to minimalise the confusions and supposed to speed up any process made whitin these window panels. When a not-so-expert user wants to reach a specific option, it works out better if there is a clear logic hierarchy to go through instead of trying to find a specific icon/area not memorised deep enough. Another problems are the lack of features needs UI complexivity and the smoothness of gameplay doesn’t require as frequent edits/views in these panels as your design is for.

The Lore UI & Living World website concept is just Amazing. I’ve seen these designs elswhere some years ago as a concept of Next Gen designs, and you’ve implemented it very well.
Apart from some UI elements I would minimalise, like drop-boxes, your work should be used in the creation of an upgraded UI that is selectable to use.
To be honest, I would use it.

I guess it even matters greatly what players you encounter. Most of dudes I met, even if hambow or some lame OP build copycats, relatively no problem with 1v1.
But when someone skilled kicks, in, well, that’s a trouble.
There are some details can make big differences :|

If you have something to complain about, complain about Slick Shoes or Hammer Ring.

Endure Pain, Bull’s Charge etc… and you just can’t run away.

The problem isn’t with the effect it has.
My concern is it’s damage. Hard 10k+ dmg instantly, then rapidly getting the lock, conditions, additional dmg.

Seen a thief yesterday getting “1 hit” killed by it within like 3seconds.

@ darkaheart.4265: You’re right, this “balance” we have here is just an another Rock-Paper-Scissors game, or Chess more likely (GW1 been worse on this meta IMO), with some OP exceptations ruled.

My concern starts where I’m ~fully gone for surviving it and yet it’s not achievable to win. I can run away, but not kill the Hambow if he’s really good. Not just a random guy who’s “proof” of thing not being OP or whatever. An important detail.

@huntroll.1489: lol’d? My Tank warrior does twice the dmg than my ~zerker power ranger, and it really works at least same efficent while I’m watching a movie and drinking coffee at the same time. Except in WvW, there it got conditioned badly.

I’ll, I have to practive hambow fights, just being curious if there are any real weakpoints of them when I’m a LB/GS Power Ranger.

Just as a sidenote; RANGEr stands for the range they patrol/look after, not how long they shoot.

I’m kinda Power Ranger with LB/GS, but as I’ve said in the first post, I just put up all the existing dodges, evades and blocks, yet they stunlock the kitten out of me.
Even worse if I just go as I used to – because these warriors do a LOT of DMG and their toughness is like trying to stab with a ten days old breadroll…

So what can I do against them?

Because this just happens in sPvP lately..
It weren’t this powerful before, maybe some nublife OP build came out that you Engineers use… but it’s really bad to get as much challange from this one elite skill as I get from an average player.

I’m encountering a hell lot of “Hambow” warrior these days with my not-so-zerker Ranger.
Put up all stunbreakers possible, yet there is no chance at all to win a proper 1v1.
TBH, what else can be done with this issue other than NERF IT! ?
I wish I could upload a video as proof about good timing dodges, evades and bursts but my GPU burning already

Stealth is broken, not Rapid Fire.
While I’m in stealth, mesmer AA & phatasms, any even leapers just get to me somehow. Latency maybe?

Why we don’t talk about how easily can 1200 range outran?
1500 is a bit better, but most foes try to stick in your face, and the autoaiming of GW2 sends your skills to cooldown without casting it…

With some unique rules & mechanics, rangers SHOULD have at least 1500 range base on Long Range Shot. Without that Grandmaster trait, we’re never even close to “Unparelled Archers”, lmao…

Okay, let the game crash when Fraps or any else recorder applied, or TS3, or any other application like MSI Afterburner, optimizers, etc…
Whatever keeps people playing & spending money on their products seems to be a reasonable task to work on.

It’s because you have enabled some feature in GemFX that isn’t supported in Dx9.
Godrays and 2 other – uncheck it and game will load

Alright. This is now a feedback thread! I’ll be updating the list as thoughts and ideas come in.

Please update your list once again;

• Give us a Min + Max zoom block setting
• Ability to enter FPS view with automatic char height adjustment on minimum zoom scrolled even forward, but stop it wit the block first mentioned above; so we get the closest zoom set, then forcing more zoom simply puts it onto FPS.
• Setting the curve of camera movement
• FoV is nice, yet some ratio would be nice.
• Optional “Combat Mode Crosshair” ?

P.s.: Get rid of this amateur XP Hud & the unused space between this and the minimap, or even better, let us customize position & scales like in GW1.
Maybe even Themes… Alphas….

My GemFX (Which includes SweetFX) is in the BIN directory, it’s been working after the “patch”.
One said it’s just a launcher error, in case of you saved your login data, press Enter, wait a little for login, then press Enter again.
Otherwise, I’ve used the -autologin command line.

Hope AN fixes it tho…
