So if I solo queue and afk all game the outcome is 100% luck?
This would really upset those who earned the skin normally.
2-0-6-6-0. Or 2-2-6-4-0 agony/earth/krait shortbow is a nasty piece of work.
+75% bleed duration. With luck you can proc in one shot:
10s : sharp stone
5s : auto
8s : earth
3s : keen edge
I’ve found I can maintain 20 stacks of bleed for 30s on a still target. 10-15s + half uptime on burn normally. I took it to pvp and ledged people in midfight for more damage than a power ranger, with far more sustain.

You should check price history on tp websites for the item. Look at sell prices and see what price sells quick enough for you.
A while back I sold the anomaly and looked online to find a price that always sold in 1-2 days. I posted, sat, and it sold the day after.
Just be patient and you should be fine.
Power rangers can put out some serious pain from long range while roaming due to lb AA being reliable with new gm train. Pets have more applied dps and cc meaning condi bunkers and poison masters will be quite formidable.
People haven’t figured it out yet but rangers are in a good spot.
Rangers are in a terrible spot. Power rangers still melt to any competent player. BM is still not viable because of how the pet can be kited. Traps are non viable due to power creep. Spirits have been nerfed (again). Other builds just don’t put out dmg and don’t have any form of sustain.
It is honestly pretty stupid and really disheartening to see the class voted in need of the most changes (CDI) having the least.
The “buff” to traps is a poison field that doesn’t even last two seconds (serious). It is such a joke how now we have engineers running around doing 7s/10s burn from random hits with their incendiary powder, yet rangers equivalent options for burn is an easy to dodge torch, weak spirit, or trap. Literally every single thing rangers can do any other class can do better with less risk. There is no longer anything redeeming about the class which is a real disappointment.
Sorry your main isn’t broken OP anymore…..
Not really.
Them copper profits.
Leaderboard decay is strong. I dropped from 27 to 100+ in 24 hours.
2.4k 598 days
Got kudzu from TP money.
I feel like it had something to do with…
GLF 1 monk to go!!
GLF 1 monk to go!!
GLF 1 monk to go!!
Your message has been suppressed due to excessive messaging.
Anet shafted us on the crafting.
I spent all my glory, opened my chests, and has 2000+ arcane powder with NO GLORY TO BUY CONSUMABLE TOKENS OR ITEM TOKENS.
The guy above pretty much nailed it.
Blance and boredom are the two reasons pvp is no longer fun for me.
Didn’t ncsoft of anet when factions was released?
They should already know who they want. Not sure that you will get anything from posting here.
5:1 odds lol.
It won’t happen. The best wvw guilds aren’t prohibiting rangers out of spite. It is just the truth they are inferior in zergs. I main ranger everywhere but zergs in wvw. When you first take a fully pvt warrior or guard into the zerg you will instantly realize how dumb you were to use a ranger in zergs.
ps – feedback.
(edited by Ryan.9387)
Got about 40 sets of 50-250 runes each. Whatever happens, I’ll be well ready.
Don’t ranger if you want to wvw. It just is inferior in every role to other classes.
No
If you just want the basic prices (not top 10 orders) you can call the search function with count=0.
Those things aren’t useless.
The idea behind them is that anet can spend minimal time building an api, then can let the community implement ideas much faster and without the development time that anet would have to spend.
ex – wvw timers should be default, as should objective ownership etc.
Anet can make a wvw api and let the community do the work.
Well I take back my words on both statements.. :/
Ps – gl with your events api.
I don’t see any problem with some players having more wealth than others.
The only problem comes when people buy not to use, but to sell higher. Of course they won’t always make a profit, but in the process they still make things more expensive for others, when they didn’t even need the stuff, and just bought the entire stock of something cheap just because they could.
Make any item acquired in the trading post account bound (that’ll unfortunately require duplicate slots for tradable collectibles, one account-wide one tradable) and people can only buy or sell, but never buy to sell.
Anyone wanting to make a profit from stuff sold in the trading post would then have to process it and sell the results, and not nearly as many people with higher acquisitive power would affect the prices for the rest without actually wanting to use the stuff.
Or you just create a black market for items like skins.
I would like if your rank was like your skill.
Tiers of 10 could be leagues of sorts, each integer just being a position in that league. Then no farmer gets special stuff.
I cant understand the r60-70s anyway. Simply put, they play too much and aren’t the majority of gw2.
I’m pretty sure you can call count=0 and then you will get a thing which shows the current number of orders. Then call count=that number to get a bloated chunk of json text. At least that is how it works for checking buy/sell orders.
To be honest, if you don’t know how to do this already, you probably lack the skills to use the API to get or even use the data returned. That isn’t to be taken meanly though, just that you should have at least a decent level of programming skill to do it.
This isn’t good for developers.
What happens to the api!! Can we get oauth with the new megaserver api?
You may want 10-30-30-0-0 if you like not dying to condis.
If games matched by rank I would go on a leaderboard rampage on my lvl 10 EU alt. I’d be winning every single game because my fellow r10s would be no match for my actual NA mmr.
Mmr works.
I’m a bit disturbed at how full of yourself you are , Ostrich Eggs….
And considering he’s one of the best gw2 pvp players in the world well…he can…
He is alright. Other players worried me more when I still did tpvp.
Just because you are higher than the cutoff doesn’t mean you need free stuff or everyone else shouldn’t get their rank. Anyone r70ish frankly plays too much. Scaling the rewards to give r80 to the few people who devote their waking hours to pvp is a waste of the development time for r80 and is simply setting a new unreachable goal for players.
0-0-30-20-20
or
X-30-30-x-0
or

Kinda dated but still potent. Swap elite for enemy comp.
It takes a pretty gold greedy person to want enough money to consider a guild. What then? Who invests first and sells first? Everyone can screw over eachother for a profit.
Better to be unknown and wealthy than to have a guild risking your wealth or people spamming you pms about ‘how to play tp?’. I don’t want to explain and I don’t want them playing the TP.
I’ve given up on anet and gw2, development is abysmally slow, pvp is unrewarding and is no longer fun, balance is terrible, and the pve is simple underwhelming.
I just check forums now to see if a good patch comes along. This march 6 one seems to be a joke for pvp. If this game keeps disappointing you again and again, just quit and move on. SC2/League/Smite/Dota and other companies are more than willing to have your business, and they want it enough to be responsible with customers and responsive to feedback.
I’ve lost the enjoyment and fun that I used to have playing this game. I used to log into the game just to play sPvP for match after match, trying to get better and having fun with friends nightly. Now all of my regular friends have quit the game and I’m having the same jaded feeling that they had before they quit.
Firstly, I find the game as a whole to be unrewarding to play anymore. The only motivation I had was playing with friends and my leaderboard rating. My friends quit and I hit front page multiple times and now I am lost at what else to do in pvp. While games like league/smite/sc2 let you rank up, unlock portraits, and earn skins, and make a reputation for yourself, I find gw2 to be sorely lacking for progression. Sure there are skins, titles, and even ranks, but the progress towards them is poorly thought out and unrewarding. In sc2 I can brag about my league, and I get a shiny border around my name to show it. In gw2, the equivalent (rank titles) show only time commitment, are bugged, could have been exploited, and increase in difficulty exponentially.
Skins are acquired too easily or too hard to be a good form progression. Ranks and titles progress so slowly and infrequently that I find myself surprised when I rank up, because I now completely ignore it. 45,000 rank points might as well be infinite, not to mention 150k for the r50+ players.
My biggest fault with the game is that there is little a player can do once the match has started to counter the other players in the match. The easiest way to describe my feeling is just to mention the implementation in other pvp games. In smite/league you build items that counter your opponents build. In this way you can mitigate the effects of a champion that counters you. In sc2, you build different units which can kill the enemy units. In gw2 you have no options to counter the enemy when the game starts. I cant change my stats to gain armor vs a glass thief harassing me, I cant change my vitality to fight a shaman condi bunker. If my build lacks stability vs a stunlock warrior, I can’t build into stability as the game goes on, I am left with my infrequent evades as the only way to save myself vs CC that can sometimes even be instant cast.
Another thing that frustrates me is the inordinately slow development time for everything in pvp. When the meta is clearly dysfunctional after a week, it doesn’t take 3 more months to figure out that the meta is still dysfunctional. I’ve never seen balance go as slow in any game as I have in gw2. The devs for sc2, which are more meticulous in their balance patches, take less time to balance the game, and do better at it than gw2
The game play has stagnated as well. In sPvP, we have conquest. Only conquest. Nothing else. Take any other fun competitive multiplayer game and you will find tons of game modes. Sc2 has 1s/2s/3s/4s, FFA, unranked normal matches, and UMS maps. League has 5v5, 3v3, ARAM, and customs. Smite has tons too. When players get bored, they can do something different. Not in gw2. We can play conquest hotjoin, conquest solo, or conquest team. (maybe if lucky you can do a conquest skirmish too).
The last thing that bothers me in gw2 is the disconnection between devs and the community. I think the only thing I really need to say about this is “skyhammer.” Anyone I know who likes that map plays a troll build designed for it and never plays the build anywhere else. It is poorly designed and poorly implemented, and the dev viewpoint (50% like it???) is ludicrous to say the least. I’ve seen straw polls with 87% of people disliking the map on this very forum. Are they ever viewed by devs? Or is it just denial of community sentiment?
I’ve played 3 matches over the whole week, and when skyhammer pops up every time I queue, I log out right after the match in frustration. I really hope the gw2 can go back to what it used to be during release, even if less “balanced” the game was more fun, had more players, and the community was optimistic about the future. Now everyone I know is just cynical and unhappy, probably playing only because of the time they have already sunk into the game. Good luck and have fun though.
tldr – Unhappy at slow development time, crappy meta, lack of progression, lack of game modes, stagnant gameplay, and poor match mechanics.
Deffinitely AK. Maximum deeps.
Won with:
engie ranger warrior guard thief
vs
warrior warrior warrior warrior ele
What happens is the warriors are so OP they grow complacent and lose their skill, meaning a skilled balanced team can win.
When the kitten to word ratio exceeds 33%.
Go pvp for challenge.
Bring river drake. Tanky and has cleave.
Only the players matter to me. Names.
Kinda. They are inferior to spirits, but not by much.
Also double post but the measurement units aren’t just randomly defined. They are tied to constants so they will never change.
E.g. 1 meter = distance light travels in 1/299,xxx,xxx of a second in a vacuum. It isn’t entirely random.
Of course we could just use planck constants for everything…
Did you know that in game range units are in inches?
600 units is 50ft
1200 is 100ft
i bet one of those chests has the infinite make over kit worth thousands of gold :P
This item doesnt even exist.
Gw2spidy begs to differ.
My biggest issue is the dozens of 800m bridge chokepoints, which makes solo roaming impossible because everyone on map has to pass through these areas and you can’t run away from an incoming group.
Please type your argument in a respectable way if you want anyone to care.
I alt a dps guard in pvp if that means anything.
I’m a person who wants to play one thing to perfection, so alting is very big for me. Esp as 80% of my hours are ranger.
Instant kill trigger for falling off skyhammer. Finding a worm to kill you is absurd and slow.
New modes/maps (FA plz).
Rebalance aimed at high skill cap play.
