Could you use the tomes of influence in pvp. I know they rally you.
There was a video of a guy using it in wvw.
Rangers aren’t good because they lack aoe support on good weaponsets.
Warhon – good but forces you into sword or axe (bad)
Barrage – good but roots you (very bad)
GS – good but lacks any of the buffs and such from warhorn.
Traps – forces 30 crit dmg and 300 precision, very bad for survivability.
Spirits hard cap at 5 people
Muddy terrain caps at 3 (5?)
Traps cap at 3 (5?)
Entangle caps at 5
A good start would be to make aoe of spirits 10 (15) people in wvw and pve. This way they provide a good bonus to groups.
Axe could use a dps boost.
Sword could have root removed.

This guy is a good thief. I face him in solo queue a lot.
Somewhat overly aggressive on the 1v1s that a thief shouldn’t win, but very good on the ganks and at living.
Not on ranger skull fear though. I heard necro caps for some reason. The skull dear doesn’t.

Fear does not cap at 5 seconds. I’ve done 9 in pvp. Too finicky to be viable. It works sometimes, but people QUICKLY learn what is fearing them.

I type running between points. I’m not playing solo queue to be your friend or anyone’s friend. I’m there to win, and if scolding people in map chat is what is required before my allies wake up, then I’ll do it.
I’ll ping the map for 20s straight or more sometimes until allies get the clue to go over there.
Sometimes I just vent though, but I don’t care.
Ranger is alright. If you ever want to pvp with it be ready to have to carry 1v1 fights all day. Allies will assume you will cap every side point while they mindlessly zerg mid.
In WvW you will do alright roaming, but in zergs you can either be meat in the zerg or you can sacrifice all damage to bring control skills.
PvE just go 100% dps with longbow, greatsword, sword, axe, and warhorn. They will cover you for every dungeon and boss you will fight. Groups should be chill with you if you bring drake, frost spirit, and spotter.

I want to be able to sync finishers and knockdowns and such with my pets. Give me f1 as autoattck and f2 f3 f4 as pet skills.
I’d love pets that you captured and leveled up like in gw1. I also wish for the unique ones like the rainbow phoenix and panda.
I can’t see a quicker way to kill this game’s pvp than by bringing that elitist pit back to gw2. I’d even like ranks eliminated.
Skill = matchmaking preformance, not time played.
The latter just forces a dysfunctional ingrown group of people. Any outsides can just quit the game there, because they are preculuded from participation in high level pvp.

Conditions are extremely strong in pvp.
It has to do with condi scaling being linear and direct being exponential (armor stats considered).
How do you handle a very point aggressive thief?
One that shadow traps far and will hound the point the instant that guy leaves his point.

The patch doesn’t change the meta. It takes people beating the meta builds with non meta builds to do that.
I see BM beating spirits. I see traps coming marginally close to then 1v1 and being stronger in midfights.

They nerf us because again and again, the top players of our class continue to find a way to dismantle every other build in a single effective package.
Anet balances from the top, and since some ranger is doing so well with his spirit build, our class gets nerfed.

You are very wrong here. Thieves are excellent at controling far point, enough that a thief should make it so their homepoint can NEVER leave his point.
They also are great for pushing fights in a direction with a quick burst in 1v1 to a good spike in teamfights.
Their mobility also lets them control side objectives, like shadowtrap treb or boss steal.
And respectively, you will also win 14 of those matches due to 5v4.

Just scout the terran refineries and count the gas used. Pretty easy to determine cheese that way. A bit of detection and AA and you got an easy win.
On a gw2 note, I don’t think I can be interested to a person’s suggestion when they have mo respect for my class.

JROH pretty much has all the viable builds covered.
I did enjoy running 9s skull fear for a few matches. Then I wen’t back to BM because it was still better.
There is skill in gw2. People just don’t care for the amount of effort required to preform marginally better.
A good example would be a ranger. While I can beat shortbow rangers 1v1 by playing s/d a/t and watching empatic bond, I can also do 90% as well running shortbow and playing 111111111.
Inscentivise skill play and you will begin to see skilled play. Until then people will autopilot with the 90% efffective builds.
I bought 175 tomes to level 3 characters to 80. (I have 3 lvl 20 scrolls). It made all my pve friends quite jealous.
The passive is less than 100 hp/s and the active provides no condi removal and water field. I’ll stick with healing spring.
What bug, there are no ranger bugs. All our bugs hurt our class anyway. 100% serious.
The playerbase is too small for an esport. PvP must become free to play for esports to even be a possibility.
You do realize dota and league aren’t the only esport games?
An esport needs to be large enough so somebody who doesn’t even play the genre knows the game.
1) LoL – free to play
2) Dota – free to play
3) World of tanks – free to play
4) SC2 – $35The only one not free to play is sc2, which already had enough of a following from brood war to support a buy to play game. Note that dota and lol came after starcraft, but have more viewers and players.

Making the pvp portion of the game f2p won’t suddenly make this game esports. There is a reason the pvp portion of this game is small and it’s not because of the reasons you listed
You miss the point. If it isn’t big enough that I can’t identify it as an esport without playing it, it isn’t an important esport. I’m not meaning that as in I’m some definitive opinion. Take another person and ask them the same questions. Disregard games they have played though.
If my friend asked me if dota was an esport, I’d say yes. If they asked me if the new counter strike game was, I’d say no.
If the new counterstrike “was” an esport, then they have done an awful job with their visibility considering how much I haunt twitch and reddit.
