If it was at 66-50% health with little ICD and giving more mightstacks per ICD for longer, that would be good.
Do you guys think that there’s a middle ground between ultra hard and easy?
For example, I think we could clean up some of the issues with the Shatterer and just make it a more engaging experience. So rather than spending the entire fight hiding under his right paw he could, say, turn his head and attack that area? :] It doesn’t have to be hard, just a little more involved.
We tried to put in a few changes here and there when we added the new world boss timers. Reactions varied.

I do believe that for such events, the first thing you should always do is the same thing done with Tequatl – split people and give entire team multiple tasks. Every player should feel like he’s helping and necessary to achieve victory. For our “starter” dragon, which is Shatterer I believe it should be the primary idea. Teach people the responsibility and make them feel important.
Tequatl is fine as it as. However, the “end” champion, which is Claw, should pose grea5er challange than Tequatl since it’s already in 80 area and that should be the test “What we have learned leveling 1-80” with multiple mechanics player are already familiar with happening around the dragon + new ones coming from fighting dragon itself.
As for Shatterer, there was a very good thread like a year or so ago (shortly after Teq’s patch) about it’s rework. It had many great ideas with illustrations, icons etc. I will search for it later and edit this post with that.

Don’t forget about teammates. Lich is a group fight cooldown and with Bunker Gaurd + Hambow/Celestial Ele you can easily get buffed to 20 mightstacks for burst.
Necro himself isn’t terrible at building mightstacks, but it takes time or utility/traits.

I would like to report a bug (?) related to one of Gemstore weapons – Marjory’s Dagger.
I bought this skin today and observed very troubling actions.On Necromancer it not only makes Deathly Swarm animation almost invisible, but the more glaring problem is that it turns Life Blast projectile animation into simple dagger throw. Now LB was designed as visible, slower and punishing projectile with a clear tell.
With this Dagger skin equipped, it makes it very, very hard to notice as thrown dagger itself doesn’t have any distinct/glowing animation and is pretty small.It also looks awful.
This is a problem in any kind of PvP as it gives unfair advantage to Necromancer using that.
Please adress this issue and change the animation back or re-do it to have more visible animation.

It was posted on Bug Forums and reported twice. Since it looks like ArenaNet won’t care about fixing it, I figured out that I can share it with new Power Necro users (and Dhuumfire users) and give you broken animation advantage. Feel free to use it. The projectile itself is almost unnoticable. Have fun !

Master of Corruption – This trait now also improves Corruption skills. However, it also inflicts random condition on user in addition to existing ones.
I.E:
Blood is Power – This skill now also gives Might to allies around the caster.
Corrosive Poison Cloud – This skill now also reflects all hostile projectiles casted within the area.
Corrupt Boon – This skill now corrupts all boons, but has it’s cast increased by 1/4 second.
Epidemic – Now is a Blast Finisher and cleanses 1 condition on allies within the area for every condition spreaded.
BAM!
That doesn’t even come close to fixing all our problems.
Did I say that it’s the ultimate fix to our problems? No, hell no! But change like this one at least adds some bonus utility for Necromancers, so we can do a little bit better in PvE. It also uses existing mechanics.
I’m there with Bhawb that Necromancer, same as Ranger and Warrior probably need some major work at the very core of professions. And that such thing should be adressed in way bigger set, like expansion.
The problem is, we don’t know when and if expansion will be released/announced. It may be just Living Story and Feature Patches. So, to be honest, some bandaid just to give players some utility to be worth picking is better than nothing for now.

I use Axe, but not Axe #1. Like at all.
Making it something fun and good like giving LF generation/bonus effect/portion of damage being siphon would make it better to use.
Also, no mention of siphons.
Wait.. is this Blizzard? Only making class changes that suit PvP and not PvE? Oh, it’s ANet… please don’t go down that road.
At least Blizzard tends to change something with patches.
They should’ve increased the counterplay/cast time of Contemplation of Purity too, then. Or just make it on par with CB and let it convert only 5 conditions into boons.
I thought that they’re increasing the cast for Corrupt Boon in order to restore it’s old state with corrupting ALL boons…

Personally, I am very much used to “modifiers” such as Shift/Alt/Ctrl.
This way you don’t have to have gaming mouse/keyboard/other stuff and still perform as good as user of one. You just use your last finger, training your manual capabilities. No woman will leave you because of that. But can because of ladderbord. So be good.

This is getting a bit out of control. I played 3 arenas in a row today, got disconnected 4 times into login screen and our team was constantly suffering 10-second lagspikes.

Some classes stack well, like ele and warrior and guardian. Others like thief and ranger and mesmer are completely worthless to have more than one of.

As a necro I think Lich is just an ugly skill, instant winning a 1vs1. I would rather see a completely different elite skill with a shorter cooldown.
Who is his right mind uses Lich 1v1 ?
1.Minipets, toys, gemstore items now included into Wallet and given some sort of mini-UI.

To be honest, if they give my Axe a power boost or LF generation boost, I guess that my tpvp build will be even bigger powerhouse and hardly beatable 1v1…
There are few problems.
1. As it stands for now, only Courtyard could be map for such game mode. The crowd’s favourite Beach on FoN has almost no LoS and is widely open. You need more LoS and structures.
2. Without few mechanics, matchups would be terribly unbalanced. The reason why 3v3s are closest to e-sports in Warcraft is because of whole healer-cd-CC combination. Guild Wars 2 is nothing like this and some professions are just superior in some areas of the game by design.
3. 3v3 with Necro on open map… God, that would be like chasing a turtle, tunnelvision 24/7.
The problem with any cool Soft control/Ranged/Chilling/interrupting build is one. Thieves.
I’m not against weapon changing animation slightly i.e. making it pink or fiery. But it minimalizes visibility of powerful cast. It’s like casting Earthshaker with Shield Stance animation.
It can change the visuals of throw casts, since they’re very similar. But Life Blast is something completly different and has to be unaffected by the weapon or given different color instead of ripping off whole projectile animation.
This game is based on visuals and such things are gamebreaking.
I believe this is intended, not a bug. Marjory’s Dagger also changes the projectile image of several elementalist skills, as well as necro dagger 4 skill. It would probably be difficult from a customer service standpoint to remove that animation from the weapon at this point, since it would be taking away a cosmetic feature from an item that people purchased exclusively for its cosmetics (it’s only a skin, after all) and would inevitably trigger a rash of refund requests.
But this kind of weapon’s behaviour is highly uncompetitive.
I’m playing Power necro in setup A/D+D/Wh. This kind of play has both weapon animations bugged (Deathly Swarm and Life Blast). In PvP, people cannot recognize the skill I’m using, heck they cannot see projectile at all because it’s so small and suddenly get hit for 4k.
I don’t want to exploit. That’s why I reported this as a bug and unintented design. This is very unfair advantage.
And I want it to be adressed.

This is kind of design that I like. Interesting, themed and fun to use.
Applaud for you. Enough of designs with “Oh, here’s some damage, boon and here some knockback, bam new weapon”. Also, I like the art.

In my opinion, I’d say that the builds requiring the most skill to play are S/D ele, glass staff ele, D/D thief, shatter mesmer, and engi build with 2+ kits. I don’t know guardians or warriors enough to comment on them.
Did i just read d/d thief ,glass staff ele and 2 kits engi build are requiring most skill to play ? in pve u meant ?
first skillful build tier : d/p thief (not those perma stealth troll, note skill#3 always makes great combo unlike other thief weapons ,it is not evade evade and evade)

Different rules, polls, strict scheme of posting on new site with all CDIs – that’s how I would do it at least.
For me, Lich Form is the closest to “Kill Now!” big cooldowns and ultimates/whatever you call it. I like it, because it can turn the tide of fight in one moment, yet you can easily force Necro out of it and has counterplay.
I would be after making Lich form more diverse from spamming #1, but only if it made other skills really strong and worth using.
You’re godkitten Lich for god sake! You shouldn’t be a pushover, you should force enemy team to either change tactic or die.

The basics of Necro aren’t bad, they just need to be expanded.
Core of our profession and the idea behind it is cool and not as broken in foundaments like, for example, Ranger’s, Warrior’s or Thief’s (for different reason).
I would say that if we got one passionated and dedicated Dev willing to fix us a little bit, he/she could probably do it within a month or two of thinking/testing.
