Zerker Ranger may be a thing in PvE dungeons, but playing it on WvWvW roaming or tpvp… Well, unless you like to trade some zerkers for more sturdy pieces like knight or soldier, don’t run in there.

i saw that, it’s just pretty insulting that something with the exact same AA animation will get cleave and we won’t. maybe it’s because of all our l33t power aoes.
We don’t know if we will or not. I was just saying that it’s explicit for thieves.
If we do get dagger cleave, expect the life force gain to not proc per-hit and rather once per skill use. It really should proc per-hit, because if we have two enemies, we need more life force.

If Cleansing Ire still procs on missing Combustive Shot, nothing will ever change.
Deathshroud and Life Force as a mechanic isn’t bad. At all. It’s brilliant!
But it needs some work. It should be a resource, constantly used and generated over the fight.
Reducing the maximal amount of Death Shroud HP avalible, but increasing the generation of Life Force in general and putting this on more skills would be a first nice step foward.
In our current timespan, 1327 AE, Charr have already defeated the major threat of Flame Legion, being Gaheron and Burntclaw. There are only Ghosts to go, to be honest.
After that, they would nearly be free of dangers, Sure, there’s The Scar, but it doesn’t seem like a constant war, more like protecting a border.
Who would fall first? Many say that it would be Humans and looking at the map, it would be true. When Divinity’s Reach is surrounded by water and fortified, the rest of Kryta could be conquered in matter of days. Also, almost no advanced weaponry.
But for the first “to go” I’d say Sylvari. Sorry, but their weaknesses are patheticly obvious. Burn down the Pale Tree and there you go.
Charr would win every war with mortal race. It’s a military-centred society of deadly hellcats. Who would stand against them, their weaponry, numbers, and tactics ?
I’ll be, personally, using Entangle in combos of Muddy Terrain+Entangle or Hilt Bash/Counterattack+Entangle.
Just a random Minipet instead of another ugly Jennah would be cool.

It isn’t a duel build for OS. You need a lot of open space and begin the fight on maximum range. Sigil of Ice helps.

Key incoming changes:
1. Pets take 90% less damage and regenerate 1% (2% PvE) of their health every 2 seconds. All condition applied to pets are full-duration, although their damage is lowered by 90%. Movement-impairing conditions are of the same strenght, but reduced by 50% duration by default.
2. Pet’s health value is now filling it’s portrait with red colour to top (100% health) from bottom (0% health). When pet is downed/being rezzed the colour is orange.
3. Left from the portrait, is the place for Boon/Condition/Debuff affecting your pet in form of regular icons.
4. Old Pet’s health bar is now Symbiosis mechanic bar, charged with green colour. There are also 3 splits (25%,50%,75%) on bar for better visibility. Number of resource avalible is displayed on bar by default. The maximum value of Symbiosis is up to discuss, as the numbers are not yet tuned properly.
5. Symbiosis abilities are no longer charged, they have one value for each weapon/F2.
6. Using same Symbiosis ability more frequently than once ( every X seconds/not interrupted by using Pet’s/Player’s different Symbiosis ability – up for discussion ) for one weapon/pet enables debuff Exhaustion .
7. Exhaustion increases the resource cost of using same ability by X% and decreases Symbiosis generation by X% for X seconds/other condition (up to discussion).
8. Pet’s basic damage is further reduced, allowing AI designers to improve Pet’s attack connection without making it too strong.

Honestly, Combustive Shot being a little shorter/smaller circle in PvP and Cleansing Ire triggered by this Burst skill having to hit Player character in order to remove conditions maybe some interesting redesigns/buffs to unused traits/utilities like Physical and it would be fine balance patch.
Unless we want to make a huge step foward and add more depth/rework profession mechanic a little bit, but that’s a deal for an expansion, not patch.
I could see Protect Me! renamed into “Protect Us!”, working like “Shelter” ritualist ghost.
“Protect Us!”
Your pet stops attacking and starts to actively protect you and your allies (600 radius). Targets affected by this ability cannot lose more than 10% of their total health from a single attack. For every prevention, pet loses X health + 20% of orginal prevented damage
Also, make Pet&Player Toughness, Protection, Ice Armor, Barkskin etc. lower the damage your pet takes.

PvE PVT BEARBOW META for hard-hitting mobs, with Bear being a safeguard for zerk eles.
I thought about it and I think something like successful completion of Chained attack (AA chain) or couple ranged autoattacks giving some kind of major temporary buff to consume by using empowered version of #2-#5 attack could solve some issues.
Something like Assasin’s requirement to perform certain ability chain (Main hand, off hand), allowing to use powerful ability (Dual).
I’ve suggested a minor/major trait which would increase our evade-ability when slotted, while sticking to the theme and not adding vigor.
Something like:

When you evade foe’s attack or foe misses due to Blind applied by you, steal 25% (50% PvE) of his Endurance. If victim doesn’t have required amount, apply Weakness (x sec) and corrupt any hostile Vigor boon in range of 300.
Two questions:
1. Pick one-two professions. You’re able to split three chosen abilities/traits/weapon skills between PvE and PvP for each profession. What would you choose and how would you change the PvP part to make it both fun to use and balanced ?
2. Would you prefer having builds that cannot be “all-round” efficient, with their own major tradeoffs, or rather builds that can do well in almost every situation on their own, but not really have any hard “role” flavour ?

But unlike other cheesy specs, Spirit Ranger is extremaly weak in current meta imo.

Well to be fair, we didn’t see Zhaitan until a few minutes before we killed it. Why do you expect we’ll somehow confront Mordy so soon and fully?
Besides, it’s been established that the vines attacking waypoints are Mordy itself. So in a way, you already have seen our newest leafy dragon friend.
Tell me again how good the personal story was again? I think it would create greater story if we were to see Mordremoth, not the whole dragon but a glimpse of it and the destructional power it has. Not just vines poppin out of the ground for the next coming months.
Tell me again how deadly and awesome this dragon is if he appears at the grove and then leaves and the pale tree is alive and the grove intact?
Because LA could be ruined, it’s not the home city or origin place for any player characters. The grove? If an elder dragon attacked the grove, I’d expect the pale tree to end up heavily wounded or dead. Which means the Sylvari as a race just went endangered or without any way to get more numbers. Which means the Sylvari personal story parts now are super confusing because even with time split and all, they are talking to the pale tree… who as soon as they leave the instance is a dead husk.
I’m sorry, but I don’t support the idea of Mordremoth showing up personally to the summit. A champion sure, but not him.
That “confusing thing” is already here, with LA destoryed and PS ignoring that. Why should we bother If Mordy spills some Randap on Grand Plant?

And why would I take it for roaming ? Instead of going power or Regen Bunker/other condi build ?
Sunless runes are okaaay I guess… You’ll have 1.75 second fear every 48 seconds and poison, which you already have. But isn’t it better to just take the Wolf and manually fear in AoE for 2-3 seconds with no gear investment?
It’s just hard for me to think of situation on WvWvW small scale/roaming (because you won’t zerg with it, right?) where I could make that fearing Entangle shine. Entangle itself is pretty legit for CC.
Everything you’ve listed is still there, honestly. Except of F2 maybe, they tend to activate a little better, but duh.

What would make “Protect Me!” a good option and cool to use ? Let your pet strike back the attacker and give it protection + unbreakable by CCing the pet (Shared Anguish…).

But MMO market has some specification. I’ll tell you how it works:
1. Blizzard makes a huge event, announcing new stage of their game development, showing off stuff, talking about it. It’s shiny, it’s major, it’s interesting.
2. Now, in the worst scenario, there’s ANet’s stage. You come to this place and you see them talking about small steps or Living Story or some QoL changes.
If I wasn’t playing this game, or if I left some time ago, I wouldn’t even bother.
Nothing big to show off=game’s dead. That’s the mentality of many MMO players.
They really like to see how the game progresses in couple minutes. Then be or be not impressed and walk over to next stage.
There will be many games and you have to attract the customer in a minute, not an hour. That’s how our present world and commercials work.

Seriously, I have no problems with Charrs’ running animations. Done all Vistas, JP’s in the game as big Charr Necromancer and it/s in fact easier for me to do than on some small rat or human.
The only problem could be the camera sometimes, but it’s not that bad actually, because it allows for FP view most of the times
I had an idea before for mesmers:
Mind Focus
Source similar to Adrenaline, which is filled with clone/ilussion shatters, attacking.
Every phantasm attacks once at full damage at summon. Then, they constantly damage the opponent ever 1-2 seconds for far lesser damage, adding to Mind Focus resource.
You can then use Mind Focus to order your creations full-damage attack, empower one of your attacks/heals or shorten cooldowns, or such.
Yes, I’m a fan of resource management
Speaking about Khan-Ur and Smodur I didn’t say that he will become the Khan-Ur. I said it’s just another brick in the wall.
You see, uniting the Four Legions is major, but being invited to leaders’ summits as the leader – another thing.
If the world starts to see Smodur as the guy who speaks for Charr nation, this is a big concern for other Imperators, because at the same time, their role and respect in the world is going to be lesser.
As for Flame Legion reffering to their leader as a Tribune instead of Imperator… Gaheron was, in fact, Imperator of the Golden(Flame) Legion. But it’s possible that dying NPC are reffering to events post-Gaheron and talking about Tribune Burntclaw, present in CoF P3.
As I suggested multiple times…
Removing useless Swiftness from Hunter’s Shot, giving pet built-in Agility Training, and instead giving Hunter’s Shot Haste (100% movement speed) for both you and pet for the duration of stealth created by this skill would allow Longbow to properly re-position.
The haste should be removed on weapon swap though, to not allow Sword/Greatsword MIG-29 mobility.

I’m curious about the other Imperators of Charr.
Are they out of the story? Smodur can speak for the Iron, but I believe he’s not decisive. By our mother Logic, he’s only able to manage the forces of Iron Legion.
He can be kind of emissary, but I seriously doubt that Blood Legion, especially, would let Smodur decide about their troops.
If we’re trying to gather all the leaders, shouldn’t we invite Blood and Ash Legions’ leaders to the summit?
Putting Smodur as the decisive of Charr would be a serious step for him in a way of becoming Khan-Ur. If I were a Charr leader, I would never let him do so.
Slavic mythology could be a very interesting addition to the game tbh. It’s far less about said “myths” but features everything in everyday’s life as it was often an explanation of new experiences, sins and cover for lies.
The “grand tree” thing can be also linked a little bit to the role that Oak had in german myths.
SoH active is also a one-trick pony. Bonus damage on one of the attacks? Very, very situational. And if you activate this, you lose the passive.
OP is asking for balanced builds that should be able to sustain in fight for a while and don’t depend that much on CDs. I hate playstyle directed by using all my CDs to one-shot someone. That’s why everything I play and craft has to do good on every condition, be able to 1vX, at least for some time and base on short, effective cooldowns and attacks.
It’s cool for trolling.
Sadly, Asuras are the best race for it. Technobabble for 6s daze is quite OP.

I hate running speed signets as they’re a dead slot. I much prefer to lower my stats a bit instead of having 2 utilities.
Swiftness can be stripped, too. Sure, doesn’t happen too often but when it does, it hurts..
Traveler runes increase both condition and boon duration, on top of that.
It’s a matter of preference, but Power ranger outside of point holder without traveler’s is a little bit unplayable for me.
Traveler runes are a must for Power Ranger imo.
Honestly, I can’t see Shared Anguish or Reaper’s Protection being so useful.
As for Dhuumfire – if Condi Necro stays in DS and bothers to cast Life Blast during offensive phase, guess what, he probably wants to proc Dhuumfire.

Good Power Necro is always legit for roaming. Can beat almost everyone, but takes some skill and situational awarness.
I would say, some serious tuning of meta d/d celestial, maybe some buffs to focus and scepter.
Not much tbh. Eles are A top tier in every game mode.
Ah and some tuning of zerker staff/FGS to reduce gamebreaking bugs and encourage more attunement swapping.

One small thing is, LS is bounded with the story. If players cannot finish one of the episodes in time due to bugs, story for the next chapter will be incomplete.
Player skipping one episode due to bug may be thrown away from playing next due to pre-determined pessimism, may leave the story progress or don’t understand what’s happening.
Three things that ANet and every developer trying to make some story progression should be terribly afraid of.
And no, watching story summary on yt doesn’t equal playing it.
If they nerf S/D Thief and D/D ele + don’t overbuff Warriors and Mesmers too much Ranger could, maybe, get a place as a roamer.
