I forgot to post a thanks to the Coast for all the fun I had a couple weeks ago when I xfered over to TC for some margaritas and some “ERP.” (I am trying to bring the ERP to the Dee Ee Are Pee that is JQ.)

I could imagine it was kinda weird to have an [SG] especially the GM just pop up randomly and start hanging out. Thanks for letting me in voice coms/mumble and making my game vacation very enjoyable. Special thanks to the [NOPE] crew for letting me run with them a couple days, I learned some nasty new tricks! RuvTC!

As for that Golem rush, I was online at the time but not on map so I was watching gchat. It was one of those situations where it didn’t matter how fast they got in because most of JQ was already there anyway so the speed factor wasn’t really an issue. If they’d rushed the lord room they stilll would have ran into all those acs being manned so it being a “sure thing” is a bit in question.

We also had a mesmer specced for lots of reflect. He had the time of his freakin life LOL

ANET doesn’t know how to design and implement the most basic data structure. In a queue, the first person to go to bread would typically be the first person to bake up and get out of bread.

Well BG wins because of 2v1. I have never seen BG fight alone, JQ is always 2v1’d. Terrible win by BG. Boring match watching a BG and SoS zergs just sit there all friendly not fighting each other.

Like yesterday early morning in SMC BG totally 2v1 JQ with SOS… Wait what, SOS was attacking BG the same time as JQ… Someone just said it but if another Zerg decides to be opportunists then that’s their decision and doesn’t mean there was a 2v1. We held SMC against Jqs probably close to 50+ vs our I think around 35ish, for a long time but also managed to fight off the small SOS Zerg to the north at the same time. Which was an epic battle JQ and mad props! It was fun!

Hell me and 3 guildies took bay Saturday night while SOS was trying to cap at the same time. We snuck in and stole it. Was that a double team? Nope, we just decided to take advantage of SOS opening outer and let them be the target while we worked in.

Don’t be salty about losing a battle or fight or even leagues. It’s just a game and should give you motivation to bring it next time. That being said, see you in week 7!!!!!!!!!

Its true most people thought SoR was the force to beat and BG definitely was underestimated, but thats also why the first week turned out the way it did. I’d be more interested to see what would happen in an all out no holds barred matchup that has no bearing on league. We’d see all three pushing for that week instead of who they think will give them trouble later on.

I’m not arguing for which server is stronger or weaker. It’s possible for both JQ and SoR to work it out to end week 7 with 25 points each.

End of Week 6 JQ@19 +5 gets to 24 points, SoR@17 +3 gets 20 points.
End of Week 7 JQ@24 +1 gets to 25 points, SoR@20 +5 gets to 25 points

The question is are JQ and SoR willing to work it out for the next 2 weeks?

I don’t think I have to say it, but the reason why we wouldn’t tie for 2nd with SoR is most probably the same reason why BG would not tank their score for the remainder of this current week to allow a tie for 1st with JQ. Some people fight for rewards, others fight for gloating, some fight to fight. I can say all servers have an equal amount of all 3 types of players, but the server as a whole is going for pride, if anything else.

^^ This along with what Chris said, is why TC will try there hardest to come 2nd next week versus SoR & JQ, and 1st in the final week. It’s all we can do, and we’ll take it one day at a time.

Mostly for server morale is what we’re pushing for. To prove after WvW went to JQ, after EP to SoS, and KH to Mags, we’re fighting hard and hoping to show everyone that guilds come and go, but we still get better. And hope to have good fights along the way, learn some things, identify weaker areas to work on. I’m very impressed with how well TC has done against the big 3, hell I may as well say this season.

About now our server feels if we press hard and are able to tie SoR, it’s a huge win in itself, and a real testament to the server. Maybe a pipe dream accomplishment, but whatever … it is a goal which we aim for to give our WvW core more grounds to stand on, while still be the fun loving Coast you guys all know.

To the person that suggested we’d never have 24/7 even numbers. Thats not exactly true. For a good chunk of this last weekend numbers were pretty even between BG and JQ. That first week of league all three servers did a pretty good job of keeping numbers roughly even and when they weren’t for all 3, they usually were for at least 2 so nobody got hit too hard since there was always a counterbalance. The last JQ/BG/SoR before leagues was very similar. Those periods were also probably the best times I’ve had in this game because you could always find a, more or less, fair fight, win or lose.

Even numbers shows pretty clearly how well the servers do against each other, like this weekend. I’m happy with our performance then.

I can tell you right now that if 3 guilds from JQ were organized on one map, they would not be as part of the same group unless it was something like a lord room battle in a keep.

If SoS had guilds that played ppt during NA instead of looking for fights/gvgers, not that thats a bad thing, they’d probably be a rival for TC.

Not that I am aware of. We often wonder the same of certain other servers when its clear they know where our pins are but most times we put it down to good scouting

Based on the time zone and the description of events, I would venture to guess that you were being wiped by Cloud Fly. Probably the best I’ve ever seen at commanding a full EB queue without ever saying a word.

Also holds the record for fastest lap of EB AND most laps completed in one day.

I can honestly say I have never heard of that guild before.

Compared to the other two, JQs presence on the forums is limited to a much smaller portion of the population. Myself, Cuddles, Fuzzy, Tarkus when he gets meowy, a random Polis, Mancing Queen, Wok and Ben, and DeWolfe are about it and half of us just joke around all the time.

I guess I did not make my point clear. What I am saying is bloodlust actually plays a much more important role in deciding who is going to win in a T1 match-up than in lower tiers where coverage completely dictates results. As a result, small team roaming and winning outnumbered fights in T1 actually contributes significantly to a server’s success.

So if you are looking for an ideal system where “gamemode promoted repeatedly winning outnumbered fights somehow leading to us having a chance at winning server match-ups”, you should consider transferring to a T1 server like JQ or SoR. You will get plenty of fights, both outnumberer and against skilled roamers in BG, while also contribute significantly to your server’s goal of winning T1 matches.

Right, it can have an advantage, but simply securing it and holding onto at least one as Mag facing SoR and BG can be a pretty big challenge.

Overall I think bloodlust was a not-horrible attempt at balancing coverage out a tiny but, but the implementation still favors the higher coverage servers who can afford extra players to deny bloodlust to one or more opponents.

What I am trying to say is holding bloodlust won’t help Mag beating BG, but may actually help JQ to beat BG if you guys are on JQ. So if you want to make a difference to a server’s performance as a roamer (your ideal gamemode), you should consider transferring to a T1 server where coverage problem is less severe. You will still get plenty of fights as you are on Mag, but now your winning will actually have a greater purpose.

I think what he is trying to say is that he wants Mag in his threads more often.

Maybe, but throughout the video there were 4 JQ that were attacking me. Other JQ were chiming in. So that only explains about a little less half the video.

Also in the very end some of the SoS from the zerg attacking SW Tower also peeled off and started attacking me.
