Because our server chat is private to OUR server, but in this case your posting what BL your on, our numbers, but even worse the chat contains info about a mesmer going to hide in the keep thats about to flip as it happens. Just get in the habit of editing all chat even if you dont think its important.

Well for once, it actually helps that you did not censor the chat, there was a BG mesmer glitching in bay. SoR knew he was there, we could just not kill him the way you cant kill krait in underwater fractal that glitch into the rock. (Of course in his case, he knows how to exploit the glitch). What happened on BGBL with sunny changing red in under 30seconds was out of order, your just lucky the BG map didnt want to fight fire with fire. [TID] sort it out, dont know what server you xfered from but pls dont pull stunts like that again.

After taking BG’s WP @ SoR BL, we started a 70vs70vs70 fight. Sounds like both BG and SoR enjoyed it. We are thinking about making it into a daily event.

To the ANet dev who follows BG around, we hope you enjoy WvW and come hangout with JQ sometime. I think gem prices is still quite cheap :-p

SoR had 70 in that fight?!?! News to us. We didn’t even have a queue the whole night on SoR BL. The TW group had 30-35 including the pugs.

That Hint posts really biased reports, you can almost believe JQ won season 1 the way he tells his side of the story. He’s from JQ of course so its to be expected.

A good question, let me offer some possibilities:

1. Because what you did and how you did it mattered to the people behind the pixels?

2. Because you insulted the people who stayed behind?

3. Because you’ve never acknowledged, let alone taken responsibility or apologised, for the negative impacts of the move?

4. Because all of this has earned you a related reputation?

5. Because every Dorian Grey needs his picture?

You’ll recall that, when we were talking about this decision, I said this would happen.

So, to answer your question: you know why and you were warned about it.

Your indignant surprise is disingenuous.

Balancing leagues is negative? So you wanted seasons to be even more lopsided? Apparently 60k victories is too little.

I hear this a lot how MERC’s move actually help balance the tier in season 1. Frankly it may not be true. If MERC did not move, BG would not perceive its late SEA as a weak time zone that needed help, as a result ZDs might not end up on BG or even NA at all and we may end up with a more balanced Tier during the season. The fact is it is MERC’s move that set the following T1 balance shifts in motion, for better or for worse eventually it is hard to tell.

What we know is that MERC did not move to improve balance in T1 since the major reason for the move was because they felt BG’s SEA at the time was too weak compared to SoR and JQ to provide MERC with support. Anyway, what’s done is done, MERC’s leaving broke our heart but most of us learned to move on.

The difference is the balance we’re talking about isn’t during SEA, which without ZDs BG still did fine in btw. The balance we are talking about is the late pst to early oceanic/oceanic leading into SEA. As one of the people who has frequently played that time zone over the last 9 or so months for JQ, I can tell you right now how much we were hanging by a thread every single night. On a good night, and I mean a REALLY good night, we could get 30 people rallied to a pin on JQ BL, nobody on BG/SoR BL and a barely queued EB. Most nights it would be around 5 to 10 though. We had no regular guilds in that TZ except SG who sometimes went later. When we did get hit and saved stuff, it was usually because Sfee, probably one of the best pug commanders in the game, would come rushing to help from EB or the aforementioned SG and Mance would be relocating from their NA spot to home BL. When we say we had no coverage in that time zone, we really mean we had no coverage. Before TKG came back (<3), the stretch between having any guilds on was 6 hours minimum. With TKG back it was slightly less. During that time SoR would usually have a full queue blob roaming the BLs at least and BG with a similar showing with small guild groups hitting stuff too. With MERC coming to JQ we gained commanders in that time zone and now we can actually defend stuff properly because the pugs have a consistant force to rally behind. We still regularly get out ticked during that time, but at least we’re not 3 ghost towns and EB like we used to be.

Bringing coverage to no coverage is completely different from bringing extra coverage to weak coverage, by huge margins.

I recall that distinctly. It was a reference to people on the roster who no longer played and pretty clearly stated at the time.

Oh Jedsus, one time during a low-pop time period JQ TS got ddosed so, like we often do, we offered SF as a temporary backup. A few days go by and we got ddosed again, this time it was during NA and SF had about 40/125 of our slots taken up with our own members. I was in EB at the time and I started seeing people spam our TS address as JQs backup server. If I hadn’t been in EB to correct them, we would have definitely hit capacity fast because SF usually invites the people on whatever map we’re on into TS in such situations (it wasn’t EB). ::shudder:: Dodged a freakin bullet with that one.

We have a heck of a time convincing people SFs TS address it real too. Come.PraiseJeds.us

Yes, the committee has changed the “not buying guilds” stance because a majority of the guilds represented said go ahead. On how the committee is represented it’s been repeated many times through channels and server reset meetings. Again, there’s no secret. No high/war council, it’s just a simple setup of committee to help the community and Indo has given his blessings and still remains the Speaker.

I am sorry that you feel excluded. Hope to see you in game more often.

That first week, and even more so those first few days, we had a terrible time getting people who were there to wvw into the maps because they were full of people trying to do the achievements who never wvwed before. I remember on home BL there was a train of about 30 JQ going from cap point to cap point for that achievement. So while we may have had queues, easily half of those people rarely wvw or had never/will never again..

Jade Quarry has no moral footing to stand on. They had the easiest draw, they spent 20,000 gold buying guilds before the season, and they still failed.

Jade Quarry has the coverage to match Blackgate. In the easy matchups, their maps were queued throughout the day, but they chose not to show up when it mattered.

Perhaps next season, Jade Quarry’s gold would be better spent on buying some server pride….

Like most Anti-Blackgate propaganda, the 2v1 was fabricated by the SoR trolls and IRON trolls. From what I can tell, any one that really matters on SoR is re-focusing on there community and rebuilding there vision of fun and worrying less about map politics. I know most these comments are meant to be jabs at each other but keep in mind a lot of what was said in week 2 was said by people that are no longer on SoR.
