In Soviet BG, siege deploys you.

The first attempt was at sw tower, with siegerazer. The second was in inner hills. The third was in bay with acs. There was a small skirmish after that at ne tower. Then the zerg moved on while a bunch got killed. Then the garrison fight in which there were more mag than JQ because of the JQ who died when they were left behind. Then again with tons of acs and hiding behind gates at nw bay. I had to stop at that point though because its close to bread time. Some fun fights and stuff, ty.

The attempt just now at garrison was more Mag players than JQ. The first attempt had siegerazer too. Not that I’m complaining, tons of kills out of em.

I only started playing a few weeks before the transfer, I thought FOO was already on JQ before that.

Yeah the big JQ recruitment spam last year was more or less just SF PRX and RG who then left shortly thereafter. There were some small guilds but they were mostly absorbed into other guilds.

We had RG which was like 15-25 plus pugs chasing them, I think that was about it for native EU. SoS had none that I recall and BG had the little it had up until recently.

EDIT: also, RG only stayed a few weeks, but it was enough to setup a lasting impression on the other servers that covered our weakspot mostly until IRON joined NA.

I know JQ may have still something to say about it but guys ZD’s was the last guild i expected to move away from it’s native SFR that it has passionately fought a very long time for that server, the EU arms race and leagues have brought many issues to long established and organised guilds getting to play the game as a guild and the way they want to.

There are still guilds out there who would consider moving to NA the only thing holding them back is not knowing what to expect i.e wither they will have opponents to fight and or they can be a noticeable contribution to your community.

For instance if my guild came here only to find itself facing random roamers and paper keeps & towers regularly with no defenders we would be on the next boat home.

Quite the opposite we face HB,COIN, FOO, ZD’s and many more both similar numbers and far superior and tier 3 keeps and towers with 10+ AC and trebs inside if people think EU time on BG,SOR and JQ is pve door you are greatly mistaken everyone fights hard for what they gain during that time.

Every JQ I’ve talked to was happy about BG getting more EU. The next best thing to us getting EU coverage is there being rival EU coverage to IRON to help even up the fights a bit in that time zone. Thats why I posted the disclaimer in my post.

Naw we’re pretty vigilant over there too, but wherever some kitten nozzle uses ridiculously formatted posts in a thread, I’ll be there. Wherever some kitten canoe exaggerates his importance with elaborate self aggrandizing, I’ll be there. And wherever children cry out in terror at the sudden appearance of hand models….

Reading about 3+ hour queues on JQ, makes me happy that BG didnt stack before the league, leaving us 4 out of 5 timezones without a queue on atleast one map, even with all the pve achievement hunters.

It’s really ticking me off that people are acting like this towards JQ as if we wanted this, or that this is our fault. .

So we’ll just ignore all the recruitment threads and the fact that your server pays for transfers then.

Statements about paying for transfers to servers are so ignorant. Any server I’ve ever been on does this (from T8 through T1). Not just for WvW, but also for the PvE community. So to act like T1 is the only place this exists, is ridiculous, to act like your server is innocent of this, is also ignorant.

We’re a great community, we will always welcome people to share in our community, but trust me, asking for 8 hour queues, skill lag out the posterior, isn’t on the menu.

The difference is – we actually NEED the coverage – The big 3 servers: do not.

So for those few months when JQ had only ~15 TKG for oceanic that weren’t early SEA or late NA players, is too much coverage when we were going up against servers able to queue a whole map in that time? Oh then there was that month or so where we didn’t even have TKG. But I guess we didn’t need the coverage.

Let me be clear, there was a period in the middle of the week where JQ had a sort of informal agreement not to hit another server as well, and I’m referring to that as well. I’m just sayin, we were within 1.7k of SoR yesterday. This matchup could have EASILY been all 3 servers within 1k of each other 1 hour before reset. Can you imagine the race to the finish line on a friday night in a match like that? It would be freaking amazing. Screw the league, thats the kind of matchup we need.

I think its about time to congratulate BG on their win and SoR on their runner up. The last matchup the three of us had together was probably one of the best wvw weeks I’ve ever been a part of because it was everyone hitting everyone and there was always a fight to be had. I can’t say this week has been all that fun though. I welcome 2v1 fights, but when the other two servers don’t really have to worry about being backdoored or defending their stuff from a server while they attack the 3rd server, it kinda removes the competition aspect and takes a bunch of the fun out of it. Though I do take it as a huge compliment that JQ has to be hit so hard all weekend and then again last night through now to keep us down.

So I tip my hat to you all, hopefully next time we fight in 6 weeks we can get a real competition going.

I’m just glad that JQ managed to overcome all of the odds and make it into gold league, despite not having anywhere near the numbers, skill, or coordination of any other server! Way to go, JQ, the little server that could!

I did find it funny the last month or so that everyone cried about JQ stacking SEA, which is basically about equal to SoR now anyway, but nobody seemed to pay any attention to SoR stacking EU.

Last week there was almost a 36 hour long Karma train on BG BL. Countless towers were pvdoored by 60+ people pretty much the entire time. I think I was in the train for about 12 hours out of that entire time. Also, in that entire time, I did not see a single person lag through the gate on accident. Just sayin.

Whether or not its true or not, FEAR, you should probably take to heart that people would be a lot more inclined to believe you if you weren’t known as probably the most sketchy guild out of the entire top 3 servers.

Troll tags are one thing, everyone does them and they’re usually just in good fun, but that FB tag was over the line.

I think he is threatening to take out his rage at a bunch of TC trying to troll the neverendingkarmatrainforevergogogogogo on a 3rd party who has nothing to do with it just because you’re on the same server.

As this era of wvw in gw2 comes to an end, I would like to congratulate Jade Quarry on having the most successful wvw alliance in gw2.

The hard work that the wvw community has put in on a daily around the clock basis for a year plus has been nothing short of epic. All the battles, the fights, the politics, the drama, the hatred sometimes in and out, the Quarry and it’s honey badger pugs have endured, and will end at the top of the heap. Love the Quarry or hate the Quarry, it has earned it’s place as the Old Warhorse of Gw2.

Much respect to the “Old Warhorse” guilds that make up the heart of JQ, and to those who have came as pilgrims to the Quarry and made it their home. A home in which the mids, and hibs, and albs could finally get along. The home of a global pvp alliance with an almost a 50% win percentage in the most competitive world versus world alliance pvp that mmo’s offer.

The home of the Shadow Gypsies.

Actually the karma training didn’t really happen thursday night. As we entered SEA, SoR made a HUGE push and made up a lot of ground quickly before things settled back down again around EU time and people started kitten ing around with things like commander roulette.

If we are buying so many guilds why is it we still have almost non existant EU Guild Coverage? BG has what 3-4 guilds who are EU exclusively and a few that run during this time zone? JQ has 1 small EU guild and a bunch of pugs. Huge difference yet you guys don’t show up during this timezone at all.

Yeah it is not like there is a massive dead zone where after we have to fix all the damage done so that JQ can get there kitten kicked during NA.

IF it wasen’t for paper keeps on ourside and tier 3 on yours we could do something, but that is now how it is. If we had any SEA we would tear a hole in you, but right now we have a lot of work to do.

We log in and every thing is broken and we need to rebuild it. We show up, but so those yours and while you only have SG that is of any threat it dose not change the fact that it is hard to take tier 3 keeps full of randoms with 15 RK.

Welcome to the last 5 months of being JQ, SEA and NA. Between 10pm server time and 4am server time we’d lose everything. Between 10 am server time and 2-4 pm server time we’d lose everything. We powered through it as best we could. Accepted what we couldn’t control and had fun fighting when we were on.

Hey, Noodles changed the entire lord room defense meta that night. Never seen so many banners. Before that hardly anyone bannered anything. I like to call it the Noodles dash.

It was also the single worst skill lag I’ve ever experienced.

If I recall, that score also includes things like points from yaks and sentries. Also it doesn’t mean that BG stomps more people, just that they get more points from stomping. It is my experience that BG tends to be a lil more nutso over the bloodlust than the other two who only have brief periods of high bloodlust. That would inflate BGs point gain in that area.

We know we can’t do anything about it, and there isn’t a lot BG can do about it, its just really frustrating when all the siege you drop in a 3-4 hour period is constantly getting attacked by this guy either by being underground or by sneakily placed ACs on the cliffside.

The best fights I’ve had all year have been against the BG ones since we left, as we cut a lot of dead weight from the guild when we moved off. Making a 3rd underdog server that hasn’t been competitive for first place for competitive again is part of the enjoyment you get from leading and JQs community is just as welcoming as BGs was. We are still the only guilded presence that has its prime ~5-9pm AEST as opposed to the previously stacked BG OC which had 3 OC guilds that usually ended in a ROFL-stomp on BGs behalf mostly from the part of them having a large militia and guild presence 24/7. We improved competition by moving as JQ was legitamately the underdog when it came to competition, as having one-sided fights is fun for no-one and moving from the previously Rank 1 server to the previously Rank 3 shifts the meta of T1 so that we get more fights in more timezones as opposed to everyone stacking in their respective timezones.

Thanks for the fights HB, Afterlife, PLX, RK and IRON.

I don’t know what’s most surprising about the above:

1. Arguments to justify a move that’s created a SEA/OCX environment at least as unbalanced as anything previous.
2. The inability to see the irony of statements like “having one-sided fights is fun for no-one”. Ticking at over 300 PPT for hours is “improving compeition”?
3. The disrespect towards former MERC members (the same ones who are doing their best to rally BG and fight the JQ zergs advantage that Tarkus has created).

Actually, I think the most surprising thing is that Tarkus appears to believe what he posts.
