- What’s your FPS like?
- Are all of your drivers up to date?
- You could tweak some settings. Turning off shadows and utilizing the frame limiter are a good place to start.
- Get a program to monitor your CPU and GPU loads to see where the suspected bottleneck is.
You might want to switch oakheart salve for hide in plain sight when the change hits. 1 more stealth. Nice vid. I might need to rethink using more than one stun breaks in wvw, although most fights were duels.
Pretty sure the Camouflage > Stealth change is live, but tooltip is still that of Camouflage. I haven’t messed around with that trait so I could be wrong.
No land spears in HoT.
Pretty sure Razer Naga (and other Razer mice) are Mac compatible.
Not that a Razer Naga is required for GW2. You’d probably get better mileage out of a good 5 button general gaming mouse, and a workable keybind setup. If you’re playing other games that may require an absurd amount of keybinds then go nuts, but not required.

Be aware that any runes/sigils you put on gear purchased with Karma or Badges of Honor will be stuck there. Those items cannot be salvaged.
I think WoodenPotatoes might be pretty close to what you’re looking for.

TK, EG, Slick Shoes is fine if you’re using it with P/S as a condi PvP/WvW build. Essentially a variant of VeeWee’s 1spam build. Last time I tried it the spread I used was 4/2/0/4/4 for WvW.
Don’t ever look at opinions on the forums and take them as an accurate representation of the state of anything in game.
Remove damage buff and make Mending a “Physical” skill.
1. Agree
2. Shouldn’t be a ground target, but shouldn’t be interrupted by movement either.
3. I wouldn’t make Kick a knockdown since that belongs to Bull’s Rush, but I really don’t know what to do with Kick to make it more popular. If you want a laugh read the bit of trivia on the wiki page for Kick.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Kick_
4. Projectile speed increase would be nice, and a general fix to projectile “Obstruction” bugs would be awesome.
5. Bulls Rush is fine aside from the bugs affecting all movement abilities.
1. Not sure what’s going on there.
2. Your PvP stats are taken from Amulet, Runes, Sigils only AFAIK.
Pretty sure it’s just bugged to not show on the Hero screen.
Anomaly: The armor bonus is not always visible, but the incoming damage is decreased correctly
If tagging potential is what you’re after Guard with a staff is probably what you’re after.
And would the slot skills you doing like on Ranger. Would those be the Shouts that no one uses with a few niche exceptions?
How about both?
You can go two ways pretty much.
Cygnus’ Hulk build
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfQEsrymwmU
or Shin’s Hamtastic build
http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Warrior_-_Hammer/GS_Roamer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o12estTyv40
Neither are suited for zerg play if that’s what you’re after.
Flubber
/15 Char
If you wanna camp FT, just run FT with HGH and Bunker Down. Really doesn’t matter which weapon you use since in all likelihood you’ll rarely be leaving FT. Build doesn’t flesh out until late game, so may not be best for leveling.
Give it a shot.

I also tried a ranger, and liked that even more… pet holds a lot of aggro so only rarely do I need to hop around on him.
Bearbow may be great for leveling, but it’s a bad habit to get into should you ever want to do anything beyond low intensity open world stuff. Learn how to use everything the prof has to offer while you’re leveling. That way if you do decide to do PvP, WvW, or dungeons at some point you don’t get destroyed because you’ve spent all your time staring at bear butt waiting for LB #2 to come off cooldown.
1. Answered
2. Use the galleries on the wiki. A lot of skins have multiple sources.
3. Karma and Badge of Honor gear cannot be salvaged.
Engineer is doing just fine. Go for it.
Three things though for leveling. Speedy Kits is your friend, Grenade Kit is terrible until you get the Grenadier trait, and don’t bother with Turrets (except Healing Turret) due to their immobile nature. Generally proper Healing Turret usage is: Drop Healing Turret > Overcharge > Pick it up.
Oh and Engineer specialization is getting Hammer in HoT. So there’s that to look forward to.
LOS?
Then blow em up.
I don’t claim to be a lore expert, but I’m unaware of any connection between Largos and the direction HoT is going.
Just make lvl 80 versions of consumables purchasable with badges of honor. Would give upleveles a little more of an edge and neutralize the price difference between +/- condi duration food.
Hammer
But lately I usually end up playing LB +Sw/Wh.
Warrior doesn’t feel so much like a knight to me as a shock trooper.

Scroll to the table. There lies your answer.
Lack of builds for which game mode?
Ranger has many builds for PvP/WvW. If you’re talking PvE there aren’t too many options no matter which prof.
Unless you can guarantee 100% that you won’t be entering melee, then its best to plan for it. That means GS or Sword/X.
If you’re zerg surfing LB + Axe/horn is probably doable, but be careful.
As for what I personally have done. I did world completion and finished my personal story on my first 80 only. The 400+ professions I have were kept up to par as I leveled. On other toons where I didn’t keep up as I went they’re still behind. I did a handful of dungeons with some RL friends a long time ago.
Beyond that I spend almost all of my time in WvW unless there’s not much going on. Then I opt for leveling new toons in PvE.
Since you just mentioned Rifle stick with that as its power based. Rifle with FT, Healing Turret, Throw Mine, Elixir B, Supply Crate (of course) is fine for leveling. For gear Power > Precision = Ferocity.
Must have traits (for leveling): Speedy Kits and Hair Trigger.
You should read up on the Minegineer build if it’s still around. Might be up your alley.
Do you mean mines as in Throw Mine or Bomb Kit?
I ask because the context sounds like you mean Bomb Kit.
GS with Sword or Axe mainhand as second set. With Axe offhand.
LB was boring as hell leveling.
Learn to Sword early and you’ll be rewarded.
Also if you can pull off a Stealth before swapping to or while on GS it’ll help prevent the massive Maul telegraph from being dodged.
Again dis topic? Pls.
I’d take new classes/spec any day.
If this would come in the future i’m more than happy but there are many more things to focus on now instead of basically 0 addition to the gameplay. My 2 copperz
Amen
Priority #1 would probably unlocking traits you need to fill out your build. Whether it’s completing the activity required or buying them is up to you.
After that it’s completely up to you. There’s a lot to do.
I’d suggest maybe dipping your toes into WvW, PvP and dungeons to get a feel for them since it’s the only part of the game you haven’t experienced.
Yes sorry my personal story has ended when I fought the minister. After that there was nothing to do and the pointer was saying go to Fields of Ruin.
Just levelling in other areas now so all good.
Whew. Just be careful about following the pointer through portals in the future. It tends not to use discretion with regard to what level of content it’s steering you towards apparently.
Consider yourself judged
Same way you do when not downed. You have full control over pets when you’re downed.
At this point there needs to be a reason for an additional race. Also I’m not sure how they’d handle things like Destiny’s Edge if they decided to add a new race. Unless they write the Living World such that a new playable race would be required I wouldn’t be surprised if they never added one.
Sounds like an opportunity to get creative to me.
I have nothing against a new playable race for a future xpac, but not this one. The current state of Living World doesn’t warrant a new playable race, so adding one for the sake of adding one doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
This is one way to look at it…
A new race would mean a helluva lot of work for nothing more than a new model for you to decorate with no effect on the game.
Sure you get a few racial skills which no one will use and a different personal story, but you’ll be bringing nothing new to the table in the grand scheme of things.

Don’t you want to leave some material for another xpac? And besides I’m not sure if any new races would’ve made sense the way the Living World Season 2 played out.
turrets in wvw? no.
I was completely hung up on the fact that the build was full Cleric to move past that onto the turrets. Glad someone caught it.
There was a mass exodus from Devonas a while back after a few of the larger guilds left and we started to drop. Lately been bouncing between T7-T8 for the most part.
Numbers and coverage seem to be the biggest problem, but don’t let that discourage you. That combined with some of the more recent changes will make for a different WvW than you may remember, but it’s still WvW.
Just log in, hit up map chat to see where the party’s at, and get to it.
I haven’t been keeping up with the current markets well enough then. Last PC I built there was a $10 diff between K and regular CPUs IIRC, so fair enough on the to K or not to K front.
Like I said I haven’t kept up, I just recall seeing quite a few Nvidia vs AMD threads with more professing Nvidia to be superior than vice versa.
I’ll try and answer some questions/respond to some of your concerns.
You have to have some kind of idea of how you like to play GW2. Think about it.
There are no true dead ends I’m aware of.
Unless you’re doing organized runs of one sort or another a Guild isn’t all that necessary.
For open world PvE: Play through your personal story, play through living world, hang out in Silverwastes doing events, make sure not to forget world bosses.
Have you tried PvP/WvW at all? Both are great for logging in for an hour or so. And PvP requires no gear whatsoever since it’s normalized through Amulets.
I’m not sure that a CD reduction would be all that great either. Also how would CD reductions work on bundles that anyone can use? I would imagine that the CD reduction wouldn’t transfer if someone else picked up your banner.
Perhaps have it remove Cripple, Chill, Immobilize, and perhaps Weakness on summon and Plant Standard. Plant Standard CD would have to be increased of course (probably doubled). Also maybe bumped to Master if deemed too strong for Adept. Mending could easily be rolled into Physical Training (with damage boost removed) and that brought down to Adept.
Wrecking bad LB Rangers who continue to fire for the entire duration of my Whirling Defense.
Couldn’t help myself. One of my favorite things to do on my Ranger is 1v1 other Rangers.
Are you sure your build doesn’t have Juggernaut traited? With the Altruism, Medkit, Sigils of Strength and Battle it feels like Juggernaut should be in there.
I would seriously consider changing your heal to Healing Turret.
As for gear, in PvE full Berserker is generally preferred, but your build is also far from the PvE dungeon meta. If you’re going to be doing open world events then honestly you can play whatever you want.
For WvW if you must keep your utilities perhaps something like this. I haven’t used FT in a long time so this could be way off. Just be mindful of Retaliation or you’ll get yourself killed.

What exactly is telling you to go to Fields of Ruin? If it’s Personal Story it should have a level attached to it. You shouldn’t be getting Personal Story quests that far beyond your level.
If it’s not a Personal Story quest, or for some odd reason you’re getting a PS quest that far beyond your level go do something else until you’ve leveled up to match the quest.
It’s not the end of the world.
I’ve decided on some parts,
CPU: i5 4460
Motherboard: Asrock H97M Pro4
GPU: Sapphire Vapor-X R9 270X 2GB
Power Supply: Corsair CX600M 600WAny opinions on these?
On more than on occasion I’ve seen mention of Nvidia being a better choice over AMD for GW2. Whether that’s based on some fact or personal preference I can’t say. Either way I’d try and read up on it a bit.
Also the price difference on the K CPU shouldn’t be prohibitive should you want to OC down the line.
I would also highly recommend an SSD as others have.
I could be wrong here, but I’m pretty sure Cleric isn’t worth it. The amount of other stats given up doesn’t balance with the healing output gained. There should be a bunch of threads on this.
Add Sigil of Cleansing to that list as long as you’re using at least one kit. As for – Condi Duration food it’s available at low levels, but the % reduction below Poultry and Leek is low enough that you’re better off using a different food.
For leveling Magic Find might be a better route.
