cave troll is good boss. got mechanics that cannot be ignored
he is sole reason why i repeat ac story on daily basis, while i never do any other dungeon story modes, unless some friend asks for help
his bouncy autoattack is the only thing that must be evaded, if you get hit, you get weakness which reduces edurance regen unless cleansed
from jump and shockwaves – you can just walk away. that is, shockwaves are not homing, they should at your estimated location. if you change movement direction after they are launched, they miss
soloing troll is easier, than fighting him with 4 inexperienced allies, because:
- tricky bounces from allies that cannot evade them
- shockwaves stack if players stand in one spot
if ally gets downed, in most cases its easier to lure troll away
attempting to revive is counter-productive as you can get interrupted by bouncy auto attack, or worse – stacked shockwaves
Yeah, I noticed that too when I burnt through my tomes on an alt today.
If you were to start at level 1 and use 80 tomes, you’d end up being level 78.
wrong
you can never get less than 1 level. worst case scenario, your exp % decays to 0, but once it gets to zero, you still get +1 lvl with 0% exp
also past lvl80 exp % decay stops, because past 80 you always need same amount of exp
well then you can troll with group boons and/or healing
elementalist – suitable for both – lotsa clicking for combos, might hurt your fingers
engineer,guardian, heal shout/banner warriur – much heal, less click, wow
alternative – you can get thief, and play as a invisible ward
i suspect you are poking mobs with a spoon
try something sharper
mobs indeed respawn very fast. but if they didn’t, player walking minute away from you, would be rather bored
ability to solo content, comes from practice and experience
here is a bigger picture:
there are people soloing legendary bosses, champions, and groups of elite veterans… meanwhile you are struggling with group of normal mobs and a veteran
so what the problem really is?
- monsters too stronk
- you are too weak (as not experienced enough)

did you take into account both fees? 5% listing, and 10% sale
e.g. if you sell something for 100g, you end up with only 85g
when it triggers, your character gets buff too. or to be more precise, you character is casting it on itself and 4 more allies nearby when triggered (bonus boon and buff durations apply)
boon duration is effective only on long lasting boons. e.g. like fire field blast combo area might – base duration 20s, so with boon/might duration you can easily up it to 35-38s
tho this example favors warriors and eles, because they can spam that combo without help from other classes
the boons that guardian provides are mostly very short in duration, therefor using boon duration with him is a waste (in my opinion)
buffing boon duration, would make long lasting boons even more overpowered
as for condition cleaning, depends on the class and build. most have no problem to cleanse now and then. if you could cleanse everything anytime on short couldown, then it would be too unfair for condi builds in pvp

first part clearly says, that engineers and eles don’t have weapon swap
part 2 says: attunement is different mechanic which can trigger on-swap effects
it’s even affected by ele’s unique trait (Attunement Recharge Rate)
not to mention warrior runes description is misleading. it’s not -1 second, but 9 seconds instead of 10. e.g. it don’t work with warriors 5 second swap trait

Diessa Plateau mini dungeon – world boss (grants daily chest if you are 35+)
well its not that hidden, but most players probably never did it. because it got long meta event chain to access. and some knowledge about mini-dungeon
wiki recommends at least 8 players, tho 2 experienced are enough. also if you log off near boss, you can solo it for dailies later

big veteran karkas’ have shields, first time you are breaking their shield, second time you are damaging their real hp
dungeons are supposed to be done with 5 players. if you don’t have enough friends, then that’s what LFG tool is for
monk is annoying to solo even with 80lvl offence orientated warrior, because of monk’s heal and interrupts
with 5 players monks melt easily – assuming those 5 know what they are doing
P.S. you probably don’t complain if you cannot kill some group even champ, why would you complain you fail to do 5 player dungeon with just 2-3 players? :o

ascalonian monk is melee mob, hence if monk knocks you onto the coffins and cannot reach you, then it becomes invulnerable. when you go back to melee monk, after couple seconds it returns to normal
same answer goes for spiderlings thingy from that post 10 months ago. spiderlings are actually melee mob, with one ranged spell on long cooldown. once they shoot ranged spell they run towards the target, obviously if player(s) were shooting from the wall, then spiderlings couldn’t reach them
… no matter how much damage we lay …health didn’t decrease one bit…was no “Invulnerable” sign…
the only instance when mobs get huge regeneration is when their leash mechanic activates
if you were pulling monk very far away, then its normal that it returned to spawn location and regenerated. it loses that leash induced regeneration after some time

but versatile infusion and agony infusion goes into different slots, and shouldn’t overwrite
versatile can go only into offensive,defensive and utility slot
while agony infusion can go only into agony slot
unless something changed recently
sources you linked are 9 months and a year old. therefor irrelevant, because at that point AR only infusions did not exist.
define what is ‘crafted +5 AR infusion’ ?
a) if it is made in mystic forge, then it goes in same slot as versatile infusion. and its not a bug. in this case your buddy just put crafted infusion over versatile infusion
b) if its agony resist slot infusion (those that get crafted by combining multiple +1 infusions), then ring/backpack should show 2 blue lines with +5 agony. if char gets only +5, then it can be considered bug
if your buddy provided screenshot it would be obvious which one is the case. if its case ‘a’ then you are just wasting everyone’s time

well, depending on profession you get weapon/or sumthin else swap, granting different 10 or more weapon skills
most classes can swap 2 weapon sets, so they have access to 10 weapon skills while in combat (can change weapons for more skills out of combat when needed)
elementalists cannot swap weapons, but they have 4 attunements that is 4×5 => 20 weapon skills
engineers got weapon kits (utility slot skills that change weapon skills while active)
each class got distinct F1-F4 skills (some only F1)
also you get 3 utility slots(5,10,20 lvl) and ulti slot(30 lvl)
your traits can slightly modify your weapon skill effects too

this game is very CPU demanding. and 1.5Gz in this day and age is very very bad
also you didn’t list whats your HDD speed, which is a bit important for map loading too. (not that you can get SSD for laptop anyway )
if you wanna enjoy games – get something with 3,5Gz+ CPU, decent GPU, and SSD for texture&stuff loading speed
if you ever played first player shooters, then wasd+mouse should be very intuitive, if not, then uhm, its probably similar to learning to walk or eat with a fork goodluck
Hmm? I have a ~97% crit chance in 80 Dungeons & Fractals with full buffs (no Spotter from Ranger), but in AC/CM I’m overcapped (I hit 104%) even without food.

What you fail to understand is that in the low level zones everything has an acceptable amount of health…. almost too low.
Also…. someone in PVT gear will kill something JUST AS FAST in a low level zone as a Zerker.
When you are in a high level zone its the exact opposite…. everything’s hp is overinflated and way too much.
The glass cannon finally takes effect, and you can really notice the difference between PVT and zerker.

and seems we are talking about different ‘low level’ zones. at lvl2 zone crit chance and damage bonus will probably be close to zero. but hey, you can onehit everything there if you main gear/trait stat is power
in e.g. ascalonian catacombs at 35lvl, it will be slightly higher and zerker would deal more damage because of higher crit chance compared to PVT, also crit damage bonus will grant very small overall damage too
if you solo elites in ac, it won’t be as fast in PVT as in zerker. ac is low level zone for me. so from my point of view your statement about speed is incorrect
that’s how precision and crit damage downscaling always worked. therefor i find this thread misinforming. it was very obvious in low level dungeons like ac. tho despite horrible crit dmg scaling it still have slight damage advantage over knights and PVT stats, at expense of defensive stats, which are irrelevant (unless you lag, or have other problems actively mitigating damage)

well its true, except the hp part. lets say some veteran in orr haz ~100k heal and you need 2-3 skill rotations to kill it
in lower level areas you will kill veteran without even completing one full skill rotation
therefor that theory is incorrect
if we take soloing champions into consideration, then difference is even greater. in orr you would need to dance around it for few minutes, while in starter areas its a lot faster
what you submit in game is just bug report, don’t expect any reply for it. if you want direct help from customer support, you should go to support and submit ticket there

false. you can get better (and literally more) stats mixing ‘main’ stats with celestial, as to opposed to mixing 2 or more non celestial stats. i assume that’s for wiviwi
as for pve, stats are irrelevant for open world, and non-mixable for dungenz

imo thats intended, same on other classes too. e.g. when i equip 1 mainhand and 2 offhands, same 1 mainhand is used for both weapons sets
crafted items are account bound on acquire. because you cannot equip it on warrior, the only possible way to soulbind it was via putting in sigil or transmuting. both have warnings about it getting soulbind
you should contact customer support – there is little chance, but they might do something about it

go to options and turn off auto targeting when playing warrior, its only useful for some other classes – e.g. mesmers

hehe you got me there, i never used dual axes, but seen a lot other warriurz using them. i prefer longbow+gs anywhere, because i like being might stacking bot, and because gs provides mobility that cannot be ignored

- warrior Will mostly solo in PvE (Hearts and Stories)
- warrior Will play mostly Dungeons
- longbow warrior with huge fire aoe I like AoE offensive skills
- longbow/greatsword/axe&axe warrior I like splash damage, melee or ranged.
- warrior with fgj and banner in utils I am very flexible in terms of role. If the party is missing a support class, I’ll change my traits and such. Vice versa. Flexibility thus is very important in the class I want.
- greatsword/axe&axe warrior I prefer direct damage over condition damage since the results are immediate.
- warrior I prefer defense over HP. It’s just low-maintenance.
-I will play Human.
- longbow warrior with fgj utility for fury and might, and firefield for might combos Boons > conditions
- greatsword warrior, engage first, then trollolo with whirlwind and rush to escape I like having companions so I can bait them and not die.
- longbow/greatsword warrior, set them and fire and chop what remains, run away with ww and rush if it fails I like a class that is fast and strong. Don’t really care about magic unless it can deal lots of direct damage and survive.
mesmer. with mainhand sword can facetank everything (including champs)

Honestly, how does a warrior actually chop someone up?
in case of stealthed backstab thieves, autoattacking air, while changing directions. makes you harder to approach
as for cleanse and stability skills, opponents have very limited of those. and if you have other conditions e.g. burn from longbow combustive shot, then there is chance opponent might use up their cleanses before you even immobilize them
as for ‘throw bolas and bull charge’, imo they are only worth it if you outnumbering opponents e.g. in wvw. in 1v1 or equal or underhanded fight i’d go for utilities which increase your survivability (healing shouts in my case, as they have synergy with my burst build when traited to gain adrenaline on shouts)
