Can we all agree that this skill is way over powered and could use some re-balancing as well? 1 trait that negates a full condi build class. you could at least make the skill say makes condis 20% less effective or something. but to say that the elementalist is immune to all conditions if health above 90% is crazy. Especially with all the healing an Elementalist can do , even now more than ever with over loads. I’m not a class basher because i have played every class and i know which skills are just ridiculous and need rebalancing. Diamond skin could at least work like Versed in Stone ; a revenants skill jalis iron hammer elite.

what counters a DS Tempest?

DS is diamond skin. Diamond skin is a skill that negates all condi’s if health above 90% the only thing that counters diamond skin is extreme burst. Full zerk at times. if hybrid you could keep them down with burst and then apply condis to make the healing not as effective. not many hybrid builds though.

I usually try to dodge 1 burst, wait for them in stealth and watch for the mirror blade , flee, and then i got about 5 seconds in moa, then dodge again. If im still alive that is cause usually once moa is over i get bursted down lol

it’s both, resistance can negate fear and warrior’s berserker stance. It can also be traited to do fear damage aswell.

If it was really overpowered, you would see every single mesmer run around with that signet over mass invis and gravity well.

It’s an undeniable fact that moa is the ultimate 1v1 skill and has literally no counterplay coming from stealth, but it pales in comparison with the other elites. Because PvP is all about 5v5 and not 1v1, so you’ll just have to suck it up, sadly.
Edit: OP is a bundle of stick peasant warrior hating on mesmer. Pffft

No one hating on mesmers, i shut mesmer down every day. Unless they Blink out of combat then come back in with full health. cause we know clones can still attack even when the player is out of range. Mesmers right now got more stealth and deal more dmg than a thief. Thief class is suppose to be stealth dependent . now you got a whole other class that can do the same kitten thing and spawn clones . Thief right now basically useless unless you are REALLY Pro / Godlike. but an average or casual player will not enjoy the game if they are repeatedly killed cause they feel underwhelmed. Aint that the reason to play video games? To have fun? This shiet aint fun.

Evades on skills are ridiculous . They need to rebalance the invulnerability skills suchs as Obsidian skin and blurred frenzy. Obsidian skin dont even make sense… why not dmg reduction or toughness boost? you basically telling me you are invulnerable for 3 seconds from 1 skill? thats not even a utility? I can’t CC you apply conditions or stun you. Same with Stone heart.. No crits? What about Diamond skin? Cant apply conditions? where is the counter play in that other than burst class? But still that means all condition users are basically useless…. An entire build usesless now due to one trait. Of course im talking about Elementalist but there are a few skills that need to be rebalanced even before Heart of Thorns came out

I hope the Balance patch reviews ALL skills .. and allow more skill based PvP and not trait / utilities based. cause right now Guild wars 2 is NOT fun to play . Esspecially fighting infinite block Guardians and Super condition dmg Revenants. Condition revenants is the worse i seen so far. The unblockable confusion skill is just horrible to fight against . cause it removes the boon and then applies 3 stacks of confusion.

Why isn’t there any counter play to moa form? If guild wars is all about build creating and countering or making up builds that have good sustain / dps/ condi dmg , why isn’t there a balance for Signet of Humiliation? So far all you can do is dodge it but its really hard to see and it last 10 seconds. Now that Mesmers have continuum split it makes fighting this even harder. Can some one please give me a legit answer instead of telling me i need to l2p or “git gud” or some dumb kitten sarcastic comment.

Animation glitch- Asura Axe Autoattack

This isn’t really a bug it’s more like a concern. I’m just wondering why Anet hasn’t fixed the animation auto attack for Asura using Axe on Warrior while moving . It looks really weird and your character looks like they’re flipping and breaking their back while attacking. Doesn’t look fluid.

I really hope you developers are reading these post and seeing how badly balance your game is right about now. I just have one question though; Does Toughness mean anything in this game any more? Because I have 3000 or so armor 1600 toughness and I am still getting hit 7000-8,900 damage from Revenant Coalescence of Ruin skill. I understand they have
Roiling mist and basically 25 stacks of might on their own.. but are you seriously telling me there is basically NO counter play to that? No matter how much health or toughness I have it seems their damage keeps scaling and if i go full bunker then i won’t even be able to deal enough damage to fight back. You need to listen to the players and make a serious change.

Dragonhunter Invisible CC Ring

Yes im glad some one addressed this. sometimes this skill does not animate properly and I’m often continuously CC’d by invisible walls. Same goes for Maw trap ; Dragon Hunters Elite skill. It doesn’t animate sometimes.

Why weapon stow?

when i stow weapon on warrior it can end the animation allow you to move on to the next attack or cancel an attack. Kinda like in a fighting game you can cancel skills or attacks. Thats why i stow weapon. I don’t know about any bugs though.

I’m ready for the salt and hate for this post but before you rage on me or tell me I need to L2P (Learn to Play) hear me out. I believe the new specializations need a serious balance. From Reapers chill damage to Engineers 20 second Stealth gyro. I’ve posted on forums about this before but I wanted to make a more serious note to these skills and traits in general. I believe PvP should be skill based and not who ever skills are most “Over powered than the other” wins. Guardian or the new specialization “Dragon Hunter” is very oppressive , from the 4 second cool-down on True Shot , to the traps activating and dealing massive damage even when a player dodges through them. I believe the skills need either a higher cool-down or a damage reduction. There’s even traits that make the cool-down reduced. Another skill such as the “Shield of Courage” virtue is a bit over powered. Not only does it give frontal blocks from all attacks the Hit-Box on trying to hit the player using it from behind is extremely small. The tool-tip for this skill says it blocks projectiles it does not say it blocks all damage from all sides of the player but behind. “Wings of Resolve” virtue does massive healing , which i don’t think is a problem too much other than it is base 3890 heal, where as Virtue of Resolve only heals at base for 1625, which no Healing power included. Massive jump in damage from just a Guardian becoming Dragon Hunter. Last skill on Dragon Hunter is the “Spear of Justice” there’s virtually no animation or indication to tell this skill is about to hit; Its faster than binding blades ! My suggestion would be to add a little flash to this skill just like they did with Warriors Pin-down skill on bow. There’s at least an indication it will go off and allow the player to dodge it. The skill would come in where the DH could time this pin-down right after a dodge roll or knowing how many dodges the enemy has left to time this skill perfectly, rather than just instantly having the spear locked on to someone even as they go into stealth.
Moving on to the next would be Scrapper. Not too much about this class other than the fact that every gyro has a 20 second cool-down . Especially the Elite skill , stealth gyro which is basically a moving thief’s shadow refuge. This Elite skill gives more stealth than PU Mesmer Mass invisibility which they had to NERF because it was too oppressive. So why did they think a moving Shadow Refuge stealth would be ok? that continuously gives 4 stealth stacks every pulse. My suggestion would be to increase the cool-down and reduce the stealth stacks , if it’s to be balanced correctly. Or change the mechanic of the stealth gyro so that if you leave circle you are revealed.
Next we have Revenants. A trait I really want to address is “Unwavering Avoidance”. This trait has no ICD , every trait that continuously deals damage or give a boon should at least have an ICD. This skill matched with "Enhanced Bulwark " gives 2 stability on dodge roll. Surprisingly though Enhanced Bulwark has a 1 second ICD but not Unwavering Avoidance. Also a Grandmaster trait called Roiling mist gives Revenants 100% crit chance on sustained fury . This is great and all but 100% crit chance ? Why 100% ? Why not 50% ? why not even increases precision by 150 along with power or something? 100% meaning none of their hits are ever gonna hit regular unless fumble is applied . When a Revenant is using Herald Elite specialization they constantly have fury applied along with 50% boon duration . Very oppressive in my opinion. They have evades on almost all their skills not to forget the fact that using Legendary Assassin Stance skill “Riposting Shadows” gives them 50 endurance gain , giving them more dodge rolls and even more Stability stacks with no ICD on Unwavering Avoidance + the boon duration making them able to stack at least 8 stacks of stability. All in all infinite stability stacks if you time the dodges correctly , which even the most average player can do with out any skill or effort.
Lastly I would like to address Druid and Reaper . Druid’s Avatar form is known to be healing elite specialization skill. Even base heals on a full berserk stat; healing druids are extremely effective. I think the heals were already addressed before in a previous patch but i think a fine tune could be addressed a bit more. And final , Reapers and chill damage from the Grandmaster trait Deathly chill. I think the base chill damage is a bit high, considering the fact that just about every skill from Reaper applies chill.
Thats all i have to say about the new specializations and the balance changes. It’s great that these specializations were built mainly to fight monsters in PVE but when it comes to PVP ; the core of the game basically , all of these skills i have addressed are way over powered. I hope you get a chance to read this with out ignorant comments included and understand that I am not trying to bash the game, I love guild wars i’ve been playing Gw2 and Gw1 for 3 years. I am a concerned player that believes this game has a LOT of potential and it can do better . It revolutionized MMORPG’s since the start back in 2012 .

Stealth Gyro from Scrapper is too over powered. It’s worse than PU Mesmer before the nerf. not only does it spawn every 20 seconds… it can be placed when some one is stunned or disabled. I don’t believe Engineer should even get any more stealth skills as stealth should only really be for classes such as Thief and Mesmer. The Gyro is also tough to take down and gives about 4 seconds of stealth even after the Npc is destroyed.

I’m ready for all the salt and hate mail I’ll get but along with adaptive armor , THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN TELL ME THATS NOT OVER POWERED.

Will this ever get changed or did Anet really just destroy “balanced” pvp ?

Arc Divider is still dealing the 50% dmg on low health instead of the 75% just like from last beta weekend. It also says it deals combo field fire. Is this a possible bug or is this the final addition for Arc Divider skill.

Add DoT confusion on NPCS not Players. Since NPCS don’t attack as frequently as a player would.. Honestly I say remove the whole DOT together. Everyone is starting to just Reroll Condition perplexity Mesmers now cause of the DoT , all they do is faceroll and shatter and thats an instant 11-20 stacks of confusion doing about 1-2k dmg on a normal skill.

They really need to change traits on Mesmer too, the power spike build is too over power with too much sustain. I also believe the trait Ineptitude needs a higher interval rate, it’s very oppressive especially when fighting a class that doesn’t have Warriors :Berserker stance . It’s like blinding ashes trait. I know that Mesmer class is dueling class but the skills are a bit over powered in my opinion . Mesmer can even go out of combat while clones are still attacking, which is also very frustrating when you see someone teleport 1200 range ; get full health, then come back in to battle and burst you down with 1 shatter combo.

Cloaks and capes for HoT

Just curious if Anet Devs were ever considering bringing back cloaks / capes just like from Guild Wars 1 . Maybe even a personal customized one with or without guild tag and able to change colors and is animated when you move. Would be perfect addition to Guild Halls. My apologizes if i missed a post in the forums about this. Seems like every time I post on forums here I get salt and hate mail from everyone. A simple yes , no , maybe so would do.

I will try to talk from a general standpoint instead of a biased viewpoint, but I seriously want to know the answer to these questions. Other than condi clears… there is no real counter-play to condition builds. Condition doesn’t even provoke the use of “Evades” because typically they’re really “tanky” builds and don’t need to dodge skills at all. Mesmer new rework allow them to spawn clones constantly and now because of PU they can go stealth for up to 10 seconds and condi-burst you down. Also reveal trait from engineer and ranger; there is ABSOLUTELY NO COUNTER PLAY for reveal trait and skill. You can NOT even dodge the skill from ranger and can be revealed from 2,000 feet away. My opinion on the skill (whether you agree or not) is that the pet should only HIT you for you to be revealed. If it was my game… I’d say you get revealed if you was hit while you was in stealth. It would involve MORE SKILL BASED PLAYERS and strategy to dodges . What use is the function if people just hide in stealth all day? And lastly auto-aiming rangers. The fact that their rapid fire can shoot you constantly even after you stealth. This is with any skill though, but I believe the auto-aiming needs rework. You should lose auto aim once that person goes stealth, regardless of the skill still being activated. Please i hope some one reads this , I am open for all harsh criticism maybe I am wrong.

Fractal weapon Reward Chest PVP?

The funny thing, most people seem to not realize, once access to to fractal weapons gets simplified, you’ll value that fractal sword a lot less and maybe not even use it since now everyone has it (basically everyone).

I thought about the idea of pristine and fractal relics and while it would remove some of the rng, the price would have to be real steep to not devalue the skins to much.

My ideal or prefered solution atm would be:
- make it so duplicate skins can be exchanged for a new skin (at least 4 for 1 in the mystic forge)
- up fractal level to 60 (would mean 85 ar needed with the current progression. more than achievable) so the fractal weapon boxes (51+ already ingame) start droping
- implement more useful stuff to buy with pristine and normal fractal relics (still waiting on those ascended mats for fractal relics)

As it stands some people have run fractals more than 2-3 thousand times (single fractals, 1 thousand plus total runs) and are still waiting on that last skin. Implementing a pvp track with guaranteed reward would be a huge slap accross the face.

Yea they really need a better fractal relic exchange . that would make playing fractals a lot more rewarding.

If there had to be a fractal reward track, giving weapons would be pretty unfair.

I love some of the skins, but hate fractals. But I know the people who love fractals can barely even get the skins as of now. They would have to do a relic exchange thing, and if they have that set up maybe have a track that offers a pristine relic at the end or something so PvPers can save up for the weapons.

I don’t really have a problem with exclusive rewards for either side either though, it gets people into other game modes or some things show your skill level in that game mode.

Of course this all comes from a casual friendly game where Arenanet wants everyone to have fun and be rewarded. So I wouldn’t be surprised if someone had a good solution and Anet wanted to incoporate it so it became available in some way through the other game modes at some time. Vice versa with the llama which is already being given out at streams for nothing and maybe glorious hero armor some day who knows.

Yes bring forth better use of Pristine Tokens. I wouldn’t mind having a chest that cost about 100 pristine for weapon chest? or 3000 fractal relics for weapon skin.

I guess you don’t run higher tier of fractals. Or lover tiers when you suggest this nonsense. So when you do fractals, you have to do complete 4 dungeons to maybe get a skin or ascended chest, and you think putting it on pvp reward track for all those lazy people who want skins but are too lazy to do actual fractal, and enable them to collect a skin of their choice for meree few unranked wins? Wow.
I have another idea too. Why not put fractal tonic on the end of the reward just for kicks. That’s two slaps in faces of people who run fractals.

This is just a topic i hope the DEV’s see this and maybe Collin Johanson. I’m a long term fan of Guild Wars , and I would love to have a Fractal Weapon reward chest in PVP maybe? or the ability to spend Fractal tokens to buy weapon chest and get the one you want to choose. Rather than grinding hours with PUG and failing and having to restart, it’s rather frustrating. Just my opinion i thought it’d be cool. I know they say they might not allow it cause fractal weapons are like collector items and they SHOULD be hard to get.. but i’ve been playing for almost 2 years and only have 1 of the 5 weapons i want.

I don’t know if the GM’s actually read these forums. But I would love to have Heritage Armor or be able to buy it from the Trading post. I know it would be considered “Unfair” for those who played Gw1, but I love the armor design and just wanted to throw my thought out there. I wouldn’t mind buying it off Trading post and supporting Guild Wars 2 for this awesome game. That’s generally how i support , buy things off Black lion.

My query is : "Will we be able to add skin from medium or cloth armor to Heavy armor?
So my Warrior would have Heavy armor on but have skins of medium armor.

No, you’re still limited to only the armor in your type.

Aww… so technically all they really did is add the PVP locker to your inventory / Bank slots now.. It’s still good idea though. Would’ve been cool have my warrior in cloth armor.
