We have no reason to believe raids will be a single 10-player party
If you think of every format in the game that involves more than 5 players, its just multiple teams of parties
The easiest and most logical thing for them to do is just port that over to raids
Your talking about Open World content, Raids will be instanced like dungeons and Fractals
I said every format, that includes PvP: Every full PvP match in the game is instanced, consisting of 10 players max, split into 2 parties of 5.
The ground work is already there, the only difference would be the 2nd party flagged as allied

Don’t forget how players would deploy dozens of sentries in EOTM keeps to force massive FPS drops on invading players
Made scoring kills on opposing players stupid easy with ACs when their reaction time is cut in half
BUILD TEMPLATES
let me think what else
BUILD TEMPLATES
At the very least, there should be a simple icon difference between a phantasm and a clone. That should be very easy to implement
Having an additional way to track the health for all illusions/minions is probably more trouble than its worth from a coding perspective, you already have feedback from the field
I could have sworn there was a thread exactly on this two months ago and a Dev even responded to it
It can’t possibly be that hard to swap/recolor the icon
Map completing WvW was annoying as he’ll but roughly 4 maps x 8 toons = a lot of keys if I remember correctly.
I hope they never remove cities from map completion, you can farm for Transmutation Charges extremely fast that way
Eight 80s, one of each profession. I switch between them constantly depending on the dungeon and existing party composition.
Also, one new character my nephew made and then I just left there :p and last one lowbie whose sole purpose is to open SW bags for expensive mats
What about those two kids that constantly remind you that Marjory and Kasmeer are banging each other
The earlier responses to this thread have been comedy gold
You are delusional if you don’t think the restrictions are not much.
Any more and I don’t see why they should even bother trying the game.
What are you doing that requires so many charges, since I seem to earn a lot in daily chest and or pvp. also the few i earned when i did map explorer and such.
I have 8 toons that carry 4 armor sets each (zerker, rabid, rampagers for hybrid builds and soldiers for WvW). All toons also carry at least one, sometimes 2 copies of every weapon depending on if the wep skills are condi build friendly.
Players like me EASILY consume hundreds of transmutation charges. Revenant plus elite spec weapons will make the desire for them even worse XD
Since anet has said they can’t fix and won’t fix this event because there is not enough time… and have apologized for it…
Just wanted to point out, apologizing involves saying sorry, and Gaile’s OP is blatantly unapologetic.
“We have been tracking player response and recognize that this event has not gone as intended.”
Just say it, you guys screwed up.
Now I’m not saying anything as as stupid as “we deserved a better event”, in fact this event did more harm than good and we’d have been much better off if it never happened
Instant level 80 here, and if Anet tries to limit tome use, boosters+Edge of the Mists power leveling.
There is no point in spending time learning a profession the slow way using incomplete builds that you would never use at level 80 anyway
Another day of disappointment boys
It’s not that paid players deserve any compensation, its that free to play players don’t have access to many things paid players do.
It was a very welcomed change
There is not much to say after 11 pages of suggestions but I’ve to share how this event changed me.
- I have stopped hitting enemies so that they can kill a player with a bomb so that I can pick it up.
- I haven’t revived people so I can be sure that I tagged the mob enough to get bronze.
- I have blinked onto the bombs and stole them even from my guild mates.
- I have tagged up to steal players from existing events.
- I have tagged every single event I can and afk’ed for the remaining 15 minutes of the event.
This I have seen from most throughout the event.
It’s not a great way at all to show off GW2 to the new F2P players ..
‘Welcome to GW2..screw team work and go all out for yourself, it’s the only way you might get loot if you don’t disconnect’
To be fair, we end up like this at level 80 in Silverwastes anyway. But yeah, to get new (f2p) players involved in this in low level areas, I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of them straight up abandoned the game
Hopefully it’ll be back this winter. Maybe the F2P players will want it too after finding out about it
I get 10 stacks and stay around to help finish events for other people. I still rez. I’ll get what I want at the end of 4 days and you know, if I don’t get that stuff, my life will somehow continue.
Rewards in a game? The stakes are too low to change who I am for that.
I hate that attitude. It’s a GAME. Helping people does not equal altruism in real life. If you want to help the world get off your sanctimonious attitude and go help the world in real life. Helping people in game does not make you a good person. Just like PvPing does not make you a murderer.
You’re spending your time on entertainment like the rest of us. Roleplaying a good character does not actually make you a good human being. That’s just a hilarious notion.
Lol somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed today
These are hilarious, any other good ones?
Agreed, I am experiencing the lag too
Other guildies are experiencing the lag, but live in different countries. The weird part is that we are on different maps, but only some of the players on my map are experiencing it, not all
It’s as if a specific routing server on Anet’s end is jacked up
Probably something to do with their crappy e-sports.
This made me lol pretty hard in real life, particularly because you are likely 100% correct.
Useless no, sub-optimal absolutely
I want a boxed copy as well but I understand why they don’t want to do it. It probably saves them A LOT of time and money in materials, shipping, product design, etc.
However, if the problem is you can’t/don’t want to use a credit card, do what I did and just pay for a 50$ Amazon gift card in cash at your local Target/Walmart/wherever. You will lose 1cent but at least NCSoft will email your HoT code instantly.
It took about 2 days until my pre-purchase character slot showed up in game.
I always powered leveled my toons to 80 in Edge of the Mists ASAP because the idea of Personal Story being interrupted by level grinding anyway annoyed the hell out of me
We have more types of dailies but we still do the fastest ones first and waypoint to the exact same vistas, farms and rich ores each time lol
Nobody likes the repeatedness of dungeons but it does let speed runners like me buy 2 gemstore items per week so…worth it
GW1 armor designs >>> GW2 armor designs
(And by ‘armor’ that includes those made of cloth as well)
Man if you think this is broken wait until the elite specs are out. Its not horizontal progression when its the elite specs that are supposed to have primary access to taunt, slow and resistance. Rip if you don’t own HoT
Remind me again what incentive even exists to stomp a player?
Because it is risky, takes too long and almost always beneficial to let them bleed out as long as possible
I have always secretly wished that Lions Arch and Divinity’s Reach were swapped
Wooden Potatoes. Complains that dungeons are too short. Yet proceeds to show himself using unintended exploits to skip almost every mob possible with a well organized group.
Unintended stealth mechanics?
Sounds like the greatest exploit ever. Expect a nerf 1 week too slow after the community has taken advantage of it
(edited by Scientia.8924)
He doesn’t have any friends, that’s why he doing the single player thing lol
For dungeons you could have just started a party and include “noobs” or “casuals” in the description
Play it now if you aren’t getting HoT immediately, while the player base is still consolidated in content you currently have access too.
I am only noticing it on world boss maps and yeah it gets awful. Does anyone know if it gets just as bad with zerg vs zerg fights in WvW?
It is a crappy price to pay to make Condi builds viable, but worth it in the end imo
If you behave in chat like you do here .. maybe no wonder if the people are not
that friendly to you,Besides this, for PvE don’t take it personal, people just want to optimize their time. Also PvP format in any game toxic players are to be expected, its always easier to blame others :]
I said OPEN WORLD .. not speedrun dungeons .. and he said that open world also
was sooo bad. I really don’t know how to take that serious. I mean there are ofc
some kittens everywhere now and then .. but mostly if somebody has a question
it gets answered and nobody sais : kitten n00b .. or whatever the cool kids in WoW say.
No offense but I have no idea wth you are talking about lol
I have to agree with Beldin here. The actual boss fight takes long and is so boring. Once he’s tagged players have better incentives to focus on the champs
I’m glad Anet did a decent job at balancing guns in this game, in part because projectiles have travel times that aren’t instant

From the other thread:
Super annoying clip(?) on my Asuran. It literally looks like a giant black pixel on her head and sticks out like a sore thumb…
It comes out when she draws her weapons for combat and goes away when OOC, and yes when I disable the outfit, it goes away
Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t the double HP buff go live right after the daily reset?
Meaning it’s still possible there is a patch today, but we might not see or hear about it for another hour

You picked a really bad time to start playing this game, LOL. The game is a wreck since the last major patch.
Welcome though, it is always nice to see new players
I’d bet $100 that the majority of maps being completed with ‘good’ times had guardians, knowingly or unknowingly, exploiting the symbols bug.
Every format in this game is so unbelievably broken atm it’s hilarious to watch, and players think it would be great if HoT would be released as soon as possible?
Even the Guild Wars 2 beta wasn’t this awful
There are plenty of other websites where you can shout at people who you disagree with. Why would you want to argue with strangers who you’re playing a fun game with?
Nobody wants that of course, but Anet does allow it to happen by keeping open flame threads under the “Game Discussion” forum (the primary reason players come here in the 1st place)
Its existed for long I’m guessing Anet doesn’t care enough about that one specifically. I agree, it’s likely against the ToS. Why stuff like player radar overlays being used in WvW aren’t dealt with, who knows
Btw you can already see player HP using 3rd party programs that have been around for a while. It’s how dungeon speed runners know party members don’t have 100% Zerker gear equipped
