I suffer from cone monochromacy. So am totally colour blind.
I have, however, finally managed to defeat her. It IS possible, just takes a lot of patience and definitely a little luck.

However much Sir Morgan Malory (*they’re, fyi) doesn’t want special needs groups “pandered” to, I think the original intent was simply to be able to change colour settings, not to nerf the mechanics in any way.

Chaos Gun (about 16-20 tries in MF – luckt)
Torch Precursor (randomly threw in 4 things to the MF and got it. Sold)

When you Preview this weapon, or just want to show it to others, the preview comes up with I think the Lionsguard rifle. Not too sure which rifle to be honest, but it isn’t the Hyperbeam.

Edit: I love that Liadri’s recharge rate for skills is 20bazillion times faster than our own.

I think the amount of loot/stuff I’ve managed to acquire is simply sign-posts or markers to remind me of the fun I had along the way.

So, there’s my two-bob. Enjoyment markers, with loot being the road between them.

It’s a Shadow AoE. Therefore, they should have simply made the AoE circles black.

I didn’t even know there was an AoE circle until my less optically-challenged better half told me. :P

I don’t know if there is a special word for it, but I only have red cones that work (and only half of those apparently). Basically, it means everything I see is in shades of black/white/red. It certainly doesn’t help having the red AoE circles, my gf had to point them out to me at some points just to make sure I knew I was standing in one.

If you concentrate really hard it is possible to notice, but then you lose awareness of other things happening in the immediate vicinity.

That said: Although they can take it into consideration and try a few methods, I don’t believe the dev’s are responsible for counteracting my eye kittenation (because that is in essence what it is). It’s a thing I and many others live with, and we just need to get over it and try our best.

Do they work in WvW? maybe a perma-stealth Thief could sit in a fort and drop a portal-zerg-bomb after 20 mins? Not too sure, I don’t have a Thief. I’m sure people will mix it with the attributes of other professions though in ways that were not expected.

I mean, less than 20(?) testers?, against the experimenting ability of a 1million+(?) player base?

Just throw down the Supplies, take Elixir Gun and Nades, and you can just heal and blast away.

The only thing I would add to this is: The Fix-er-Upper. The exotic….. MACE? Put one named Wrench into the game and make it so Engineers can’t use it? Odd.

Nope, this is not one of those beloved “I hate Cliffside” threads. In fact, I actually like it.

The point to this? Last night I ran Cliff with a PuG and (after 2 of the newer peoples accidentally killed the targeted Chanter [grrr]) we had a wipe.
A little bit of fluffing around then because the Hammer disappeared and was found on the ground below.

But….. when we went back up the Chanters had reset! Yay!
Just wondering if this was a once off, or whether the long awaited change to this had been implemented with the last maintenance?

Isn’t there a promise somewhere that the Legendaries will always have the top stats though, and if something were to come along that was better the stats get boosted?

Actually, that Venn diagram seems to be Cool + Cool. An amalgamation of 2 different types of cool. I think you need to revisit Venn diagrams.

I never aced Maths, but I passed reasonably well in Uni and I’m pretty sure my lecturer would have groaned.

If the Fractal system is different, could the current system be left as is, whilst a token system operating alongside it allows for a sub-class of Fractal weapons? Allows current weapons to retain their ‘elite/lucky’ status. People can link their Fractal weapon if they feel the need to show they have the RNG ones and not the token ones.

E.g. The token ones have set stats but aren’t transmutable.

True, but you do have other things. I play an Engi almost solely. You have two dodges, and Elixir R as a stun break and refills your dodge capacity.

Also you have an Invulnerability and a smoke/reflection wall as a utility with it. Plus your pistol blinds.

Not too sure what more you need.

Speaking from this, which is biased from a lucky perspective, I’d say buying lvl 72exo’s is the way to go.

EDIT: I’m not hardcore… only have 2 lv 80’s and a lvl 13. Only one fully geared with Nightmare exotic gear.

Yep, lvl 72. I bought 30 of them all in one go and got it after putting in 24-ish (don’t remember if it included the ones I got from the actual MF crafting of the original 24, of tha tmakes sense) but they were def 72.

There are still ways to block Old Toms projectiles, you just need to look for them.

I was getting this problem with a XFX R7750, so I went back to my GTX285 (the XFX was a present so i felt more obliged to try it). The GTX runs everything like clockwork and has never crashed on me. Doesn’t overheat. High settings.

You shouldn’t need to underclock a 285, I don’t think.

I know that the GTX has a 512bus (big, big pipe) whereas the R7750 takes advantage of DDR5. The 7750 has double the processors however the GTX was a powerhouse when I bought it and remains so, even with a slower clockrate.

It runs oin a 550w psu, and nothing else I have really drains it so power shouldn’t be an issue.

I’ve gone back to the old faithful for now (4 years running, still a top card). The only thing I can think of is that other people with problems in this regard seem to be running PCIe3 cards.

I’m not an absolute tech-head so could just be words on the wind but worth thinking about I suppose.

If I get bored I’ll stick it back in and run the heat checker programs though, it’s a good idea and worth a look into.

Have you tried the XFX Support Site? Try not to laugh or cry if you do. :P

I recently installed a XFX R7750 Black OC. When I play GW2, and only GW2, after about 20 minutes the screen goes dead and says: No connection detected. I can’t even alt-tab out and I have to reset the whole pc.

I went through the tips at: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Black-Screen-Issue-AMD-ATI/first#post38195 and it didn’t help at all.

Has anyone else had this issue? My nVidia GTX285 works fine, and I can always roll back I suppose, but as this was a present I’d rather not.

NB* I have updated the BIOS and the Card drivers from scratch. No dice.

I don’t tip everytime. I save it for bigger ones, like a surprise chest. I didn’t tip for 3 days. Then today I gave someone 20silver.

I don’t understand why they just didn’t make Engi’s have Legendary Kits, eg The MacGuyver. I’d grind for months to have a skill that uses 2 rubber bands and a bottle of salt water to create a trans-dimensional feedback loop.
