The monk works in GW1 because you can select any skill to put on your bar and had a 2nd profession. It’s doesn’t work here in GW2 and I’m sure most rangers won’t be eagerly running a druid. It was a wasted effort and time developing this trait, Anet should of went another direction with the rangers.

I agree, the rangers was nerfed into the ground prior to HoT. Instead of buffing them to be par with other classes, Anet made them a monk…this is so hilarious. Good job Anet, we know your hate for rangers is real, but at least make it less obvious.

If Anet would of told us this would be Grind Wars, nobody would have bought it. Hence, a lot of people asking for a refund.

And it seems like Anet’s silence is deafening. I guess “communication” has always been an issue for them, but at least now they losing a lot of goodwill between the community.

Don’t get it yet…or maybe never. It’s a big mess right now, we don’t know if Anet will ever fix it. A lot of people are getting refunds and just sticking with the original GW2, you won’t be missing much except the Rev.

I think a lot of people will disagree with you, as a matter of fact they’re trying to get a refund. I guess different strokes for different folks.

At this rate with people getting their refunds and being fed up with the grind, it will get worst in a couple of weeks.

The price we over-paid for the “expansion” is the price of newer games nowadays that was built from the ground up, that’s where most of the cost is incurred…GW2 is 3 years old. How can they justify pricing it the same as a new game?

And OP, you are right, Anet wrecked the Druid class…rangers always been the forgotten class and will continue to be.

I agree with OP…if I remember correctly, GW1 expansion was only $30. HoT’s price is a bit much for the content we getting. It does seem like corporate greed is driving Anet nowadays, in a way they are the new EA gaming company.

There are a few threads now with players trying to get a refund on HoT. Don’t purchase the expansion because you probably end up with buyers remorse like most of us.

Soon, there will be less people and then it would be more difficult.

TinkTink…pls let us know too if you were able to get the refund.

It’s a mess right now, I’m still confused as to what I need to do. This games lack a direction, it’s all over the place. I had enough after 2 days, too frustrating to continue.

I’ve already gone through support attempting a refund. They will tell you that they will disable your account access in general if you do; your entire account is now held behind that $50 paywall.

That’s a freaking scam, what kind of business is Anet running. They willing to ruin their reputation for this, I can’t believe they would stoop this low.

If you could get your refund, I suggest you should. If they decide to fix this mess later than you can just buy it again. If they don’t, then you just save $50.

I see what you did, you trying to say that the Mordrem Invasion and the expansion has some things in common…like being boring as hell.

ok…so lets take out the grinding part…it’s still lack any direction, boring and frustrating, the grind is just on top of the other negative aspect.

If you didn’t buy the expansion yet, DON’T…save your money, you can see from all the thread that its one big pile of mess. It’s very frustrating, boring, grindy and gated, not worth the $50. I have gone back to Tyria, I just can’t stand the new area anymore.

I have stop playing HoT too, I just can’t stand how boring it was…I went back to the old maps.

Anet’s idea of a lot of content is to make it tediously long and boring. It just seems like more content.

I would like my money back too, I bought HoT 2 account, me and my son and we’re totally regretting it now.

Same here, I can’t play this anymore. I thought Anet would know by now what the players want. Its grindy, boring and confusing, what a disaster and waste of money!

I just can’t believe how boring HoT is, and Anet was pounding their chest and patting themselves on the should and it turn out to be this boring and confusing. It felt like it was a chore/job to do instead of being fun. To those that didn’t buy it, you not missing out on much. As a matter of fact, I envy those that didn’t waste their money.
