The test Is – in my opinion – more, huuumm, esoteric than based on facts or something^^
I got ele, but hate ele and love and enjoy my ranger. Why would I be more ele than ranger, just because I choose red over green?
It’s a funny test anyway^^
Your pet has 1 skill YOU can control (F2), the other 3 are the autoattack + 2 skills YOUR PET controls.
Here you go:
The upper part/coat kinda looks like this set: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/PvP_Rugged_armor
Just allow us to brake the leap when we have the need – dodging, stomping, etc.
The same would be nice for pet f2 abilities, just override everything the pet does and give it priority.
6/10, it’s a bit too much green for me^^
… and that’s the reason why I tried to give my ranger an “camouflage” appereance :P
I also like “normal” looking gear.
Sneaking with his faithful companion through the woods.
He’s looking the same in PvE and PvP.

Ok, well, I have to admit, taking white and orange as example wasn’t thought-out xD
Thanks for your answer, so it will be 1 of each, I just was concerned about the colour swapping back due to the stats^^
Hello there,
I got a question regarding ascended weapons.
If I own a Hronk’s sword (white) and this stats are what I need and I also own an Occam’s sword (orange), which appereance I want to have, but not the stats and I transmute them, taking the stats of the white sword and the appereance of the orange sword, does the sword stay orange or does it automatically swap back to the white appereance because of the stats, which are from the white sword?
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I would really like to have an option that i can ctrl + rightclick (or another key combination) an item in my inventory and it’s locked, that means it won’t go to my bank when I use the “deposit all” fuktion.
Krytan Drakehound – Barry (like my dog irl)
All kind of pigs – Chris. P. Bacon
Lynx – Downatello (Just look at the face…)
But Gaiyeerishima’s Cancer Bear is the best one here xD
Recycle, you are a very, very clever person.
I would actually like if Healing Spring and Companion’s Defense would be changed like this. Faster condition removal and longer protection uptime would be great.
I would also like to see a change on Sick ’Em, swap 40% more damage to 10 seconds of quickness, the pet could keep up better, it would provide us with more stacks of might from Rampage as One, and if we run with Rending Attacks, they could even dish out more stacks of bleeding.
(edited by Shirk.6421)
Speaking about PvP?
I already tried it, even that bark skin and protection work together (63% dmg reduction!!) it doesn’t work. In theory, yes. But if you play it, nope… you die, you die quicker as you think.
The problem is the lack of controlabe cc, the pressure on you will get critically high, and trying to survive with under 25% of health is another thing…
The condition-removal keeps in most situations more dmg off you than Bark Skin does.
(edited by Shirk.6421)
Why would you use “rending attacks” (drake, feline, devourer and sharks apply bleeding on critical hits) if you run around with a bird and a canine?
I’m not mad at the downtime. As Wombat already stated, I’m mad at having to summon them before entering a fight, it’s kinda no problem if you can stay safe before entering the fight, but if you get surprised, well this 4.5 seconds to cast 3 spirits can easiliy become 10 seconds of just taking damage.
Why are necros allowed to keep their minions until they die and our spirits die after a minute? That’s not nice A-Net, that’s not nice! I demand equality !!
Atleast for our “normal” spirits, I guess our elite spirit would be a bit op.
Oh, just realised I’ve forgotten to change this, thanks^^
no one can help me?
Ok, thanks both, gonna give this another try, what kind of build would you recommend me?
I’m also corius why the sword works well.
Hello fellow rangers!
Right now, I have some problems regarding my ranger, especially in PvP.
I tried a ton of different builds (mainly conditions) and have one big problem – I don’t know why, but I can’t maintain my conditions on the enemys. I can only get a maximum of 10 stacks bleeding on my enemy which are mostly purified after 3 seconds. That’s where I need your help, I’m gonna post my builds and please do me a favour and tell me what I am doing wrong. I’m mostly using axe/dagger and shortbow, but I also tried things like axe/dagger + sword/torch (I don’t know why I should use this combo anyway when I don’t play with crits (bleeding on crits), axe/torch worked better for me this way). sword/torch + shortbow, axe/torch + shortbow. So, everything between shortbows, axes, daggers and torches. Also tried different elites, so don’t focus on rampage as one (put it in every build).
This is the build i played the most, I really liked it but suddenly… no damage at all anymore. (As I satted, I also used axe/torch + shortbow and all the other combinations in every build, when playing with the torch I used the forge-runes instead of earth-runes)
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fMAQNAV3YjEVZ2RWWWs2Bi2jMJJM9UEL17UMK/XxKpA-TsAg2CrI2RtjbHzOyds7M8Y5xOAA
This is my trap-build, liked it so far, but I felt kinda squishy. (I put the undead-runes in there, but I also tried earth- and forge-runes). “Nature’s protection” also swaped out for “keen edge”.
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fMAQNAV3YjEV11tVyVs2Bi2jMJJMxeYIH9IXB/XxKpA-TsAAzCpIaS1krJTTymsNNqYVx2DA
And this is the spirit build, It seems to be the best right now, but I feel kinda uncomfortable with it, always speding about 3 secods to summon the spirits when I suddenly get caught in a fight.
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fMAQNAV3YjEVZ2dVmVs2Bg2jMlEzXhYdPKl0TrYlUA-TsAg2CrI2RtjbHzOyds7M8Y5xOAA
If everything is okay with my builds, there is only one question left, am I just bad?
Thanks in advance for reading trough this whole post and postiong your opinions.
best regards.
P.S.: I also tried different power-builds but that’s not what I want.

Hello there, already posted this question into the sPvP forum, but no answers so far, so I’m gonna repost it here.
Is there no way of obtaining the inquest weapons (same style as the arcing weapons, just red) in the mists? and if no, why not? Evey other dungeon-weapon-set is available there.
best regards

Yes, that’s a point, but a player using this option could be marked next to his name. Maybe this way? But to be honest, after playing 100 matches you see (which or what? Don’t know anymore >.>) weapons an enemy uses by his skills and movement, but again, you’re right.

Hello there,
just wanted to ask if there is a chance of getting an option to swap the main- and offhand weapon. Just the appereance, ofc. As a left handed person it’s kinda annoying that your character can only use the weapons in a “normal” way. I don’t care about two-handed-weapons, if my character smashes his hammer from the left or right side, but it’s kinda weird that your character uses a pure offhand-item like a shield or a focus in your weak hand. Would it be possibly to implement an option like this?
regards
Main profession – ranger
Favourite colour – red
Favourite animal – bear
Favourite mythical creature – phoenix
Favourite school discipline and/or graduation major – biology
Favourite type of vehicle (can be car brand or any vehicle, really) – foot
Weapon of choice (can be one that is not in the game, or in the game but not used in the right context (e.g. Spear), but please specify if so) – axes and knives (can’t decide)
Favourite ancient culture (greek, egyptian, roman, mayan, chinese, etc) – germanic
Most important stat (Intelligence, Strength and Speed ONLY) – strength
Religion (including Atheism and Agnosticism) – paganism
Yay, because they have the same skills and are playable with the same builds…
Hello there,
I would really like being able to transmute between different weapons, like an axe into a sword. And for anyone saying “But when I see somebody with a greatsword I don’t expect a hammer stun striking my face into the dirt”. Well, there would be a new feature allowing to see the current equiped weapons under the portrait of target. Every thus tranmuted item would be soulbound and you would only be able to equip it if you could also use the item in this hand, means if you transmog a dagger into a scepter as elementalist, you can’t put it into your off-hand. Transmuting a greatsword into a rifle wouldn’t work either ofc. Pure off-hand items like torches or shield wouldn’t be able to be transmuted this way.
What do you think?
I smell a 40 years old virgin.
Already started a thread about this today… no answers so far.

I just copy the text, too:
“I would really like to have an option (and I hope I’m not alone with this^^) to give some items shortcut accesses. I attached a screenshot of how it could work and I’m gonna explain it, too.
We would have 3 more slots in our hero-pannel. There would different things we could put there, for example the torch – you are running through a dark cave and everytime you have to fight you need to use the torch again, this way, you could just click a button after defeating somebody/something and you have light again.
Weapons could be stored there, too. You run around as a warrior with mace/shield and greatsword? No problem, just put a bow or rifle in this slot and you have access to a ranged attack for pulling. You would have access to the autoattack by pressing the shortcut, but a weaker one, ofc. Dealing 10% of the damage it would, not being able to provide boons, conditions, or any other things which would belong to the autoattack chain, like leaps or ricochets. Sigils wouldn’t work, too.
And you could store bufffood there, so you don’t have to search it in your inventory whenever the buff fades.
And you have a special place for your favourite pet to summon it fast and every time you want.
What do you think about this?”

Just bumping this.
Would love a change, make the axe a condition melee weapon (The sword is already a power based one) and the dagger a ranged one (i would make it power based, too).
Axe skills could be changed tho this:
1: tripple autoattack chain, at least a bit more damage and a higher attackspeed. bleeding the foe with it’s 2nd and 3rd attack. Of course with an aoe around the target.
2: a leap that applies 5 stacks of bleeding in the center, amount of bleeding goes down to 1 stack at the edge. Gaining protection for 2 seconds when succesfully hitting an enemy
3: wouldn’t change anything here, it’s good as it is.
Just my two cents.
Yes, please, I need this so bad.
Yeah, but it’s somehow weird that it’s a ranged weapon but you have to get colse for a useful splitblade. Just high risc, high reward I guess, but I can live with that after figuring out how to use it properly I actually like the gameplay of the axe, but I want at least a better animation. Disappearing offhand weapons and back items while throwing are not cool…
Okay, thanks. I guess ill stick to axe/dagger and shortbow. I choose the dagger over the torch because of the evade and the poision. Even that the dagger 5 has some less damage than torch 4, I have a nice cripple thereby. I always put dagger 5 on my foe, then axe 3, dagger 4 to get close and then axe 3, after that I swap and kite with the shortbow until weapon swapping is ready again, repeating the procedure. (I think I’m gonna keep that) The only problem I see with the shortbow is when your enemy tries to “hug” you and you don’t get the flanking effect.
Thanks for your answer, helped me a lot.

dude, blacklion chests are sold for 5 copper, don’t you think you could just unlock these boxes getting a golden kitten
Hey folks,
I’m just struggling with my choice of weapons atm, I’m running a bunker condi ranger 0/0/30/20/20 (PvP) and can’t decide which weapons to use. I’m gonna roll two of them ofc. Im running on low crit, that means I only get my bleeding stacks from spells, no % chance of adding bleeds when critting.
Which setup would you recommed? Since I only get bleeding stacks with the shortbow while flanking (just a 3 second bleed, only able to maintain about 5 or 6 stacks from autoattacks). Would you recommend me the shortbow like this? Or are there 3 options?
My thoughts so far:
-axe/dagger and sword/torch
-axe/dagger and axe/torch (I liked that, too, the bleeds from axe 2 had 100% uptime)
-axe/dagger and shortbow
-axe/torch and shortbow
What would you recommend?
I already tried them and I’m not sure which setup would be better. The most time I ran around with axe/dagger and shortbow, because I really like the chill + cripple combo, getting bleeds from axe 2 and dagger 5 on my target and then switching to shortbow. The problem with the shortbow is, I can’t maintain the bleeding stacks, and it seems like the torch has too much damage to just leave it in my inventory.
What are your thoughts about this?
Thankful about all (more or less) helping opinions.

rightclick the designated slot and select the weapon , works fast and fine.
Hey folks,
an idea came to my mind the last days – it’s about our beloved weapons, to be specific:
I would really like to have an option where I could see the curently unused weapon set, too. That means, if I run with a rifle and a greatsword for example, I would see the rifle on my back even when I use my greatsword right now. To avoid mess at my back or my belt, I would have to accept that I can’t sheath my right now used weapon set, I would have to keep it in my hands until I swap them, then my greatsword would be on my back and I could use my rifle (which I can’t put away then, ofc)
Would really like to know what you think about this.
reagards.
Is it just me or does a trap really take more time to hit the ground when using “trapper’s expertise”? Even if I throw them directly under my feet, it feels like it takes longer to plant them than without this trait. Just imagination?
They should at least change the throwing animation, it’s looking weird when you run with an axe and a torch and while throwing, the shine of the torchs goes off and on, because both weapons disappear while throwing, adding throwing from different angles would be nice, too. A necro-like autoattack would also work, using nature magic, but this throwing animation is just hilarious^^
Yeah, but I think unlimited axes are wierder than unlimited arrows/bullets, where would you store them? Even unlimited throwing knives are better that unlimited axes^^
Hi community,
I just want to tell you how I feel about the rangers axe autoattack, and share some Ideas.
It’s just weird that the ranger throws his magically reappearing axe, which also bounces around. I would suggest to make the axe a melee weapon, with a skillset like this:
1: tripple autoattack chain, at least a bit more damage and a higher attackspeed. bleeding the foe with it’s 2nd and 3rd attack. Of course with an aoe around the target.
2: a leap that applies 5 stacks of bleeding in the center, amount of bleeding goes down to 1 stack at the edge. Gaining protection for 2 seconds when succesfully hitting an enemy
3: wouldnt change anything here, it’s good as it is.
Many playrs use the axe in combination with the horn or the torch, for buffing and applying burning. The axe is used as ranged weapon here, so the players don’t have to go into melee after swapping the weapons.
Because of this I would imply at least one more weapon.
The pistol or/and the scepter. (Both only for the mainhand of course.)
The pistol would be a more damage orientated weapon, while the scepter would fit nice with the horn for buffing, using natures magic as attacks and utility skills.(Rangers can summon spirits, so why not using the magic of nature for more?)
I would really want to know what you folks think about this, especially about the mainhand axe right now.
I’m sorry for any grammar mistakes, english is not my native tongue^^
It’s a very old bug (more than 10 months), but I hope it’s gettin’ fixed soon, read here:

Finally good news, thanks for your help!
Still not fixed? It’s buggy since months.
