Holy moly, that’s the reason, I always wondered why it happens sometimes but didn’t think about this reason, but shouldn’t it be considered as a bug?
- Do not use one “on crit” and one “on weaponswap” in two different weaponsets*
why? o_O
Hehe cool, making fun of the WW2 (and the Holocaust) to bring your point across. That’s pretty classy! Keep up the good work ranger-community.
You have no Idea what these Hitler rants videos are about and didn’t watch one before, right?
Oh I do understand german and I have watched the movie but cool assumptions
I’m speaking about the parodies not the actual film and btw. I’m german myself so I understand everything but it’s still funny as hell, like every other one of this parodies.

I’d love to have vegetable weapons. A gigantic carrot for a hammer or greatsword would be epic.
Battle Bunny Riven approves this.
Same for onions please.
If you ran a pig you could have the same exact ability as well…
Yay, and also give me the same amount of spamable whirl/leap finishers. Thanks.
Yes, I hate it and I think it’s op, same goes for fear and kock-down.
Why not revamping it like this?
1st incoming: 100% duration
2nd: 75% duration
3rd: 50% duration
4th: immune
5th: 100% duration
6th: 75% duration
etc.

Please, please fix the F2 abilities to react when I use them and not 5 seconds later because my pet thinks it’s cool to keep attacking an enemy instead, it often doesn’t work when the pet moves or I’m standing on another level than my pet. And please let the pets actually hit moving targets, atleast with their F2 or racial abilities >.>
Oh the irony…
My ideas, don’t take them too serious xD
Elementalist:
OH torch: fire → another set of fireskills, like spitting fire; water → mistskills like blinding or regen; air → skills that resemble a firestorm; earth → lava-based skills
MH axe: How this elementalists remind me of WoW-shamans, there’s need for axes here. And yes, they know how to wield them properly, they can even summon them.
(little off-topic: is anybody using weapon summoning skills in decent builds?)
Warrior:
OH dagger: used for finishing your foes, every knight, soldier, w/e was running with a back-up knife or dagger which was used to finish off armoured enemys after wrestling them down.
OH torch: who doesn’t miss the picture of an medieval/fantasy-army marching illuminated through the night, who doesn’t love torchlight processions at all?
Ranger:
OH pistol: we know the ranger likes it quiet, but an ace in the hole is the best life insurance.
MH dagger: as already suggested many times, this would be lovely.
Necromancer:
OH torch: plague-flame-spitting maniacs? check! (green flames of course)
shortbow: Would just love to see something like that, I mean, c’mon, banging around with magical-infected arrows? Who wouldn’t like that?
Guardian:
OH horn: the most obvious. I’m even wondering why this ins’t already usable. Buffing
and stuff.
longbow: yes this is a guardian. A guardian also guards gates. And what do you do when you see a bunch of foes trying to rush your beloved castle? No, you don’t charge into them like a mentally disturbed suicidial person. You try to get them off this kitten castle. What would work better than a magically enhanced longbow?
Thief:
MH mace: what is better for knocking somebody out than a lovely blunt club?
rifle: I know it’s hard to loot somebody after killing him from long distance, but it’s safe, modern assasins do the same (ask Kennedy! oh wait…). As long as the thief isn’t screwing up like this guy ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yx-hdWXuXZQ ) it should work well.
Engineer:
OH torch: igniting your matchlock pistol and letting your enemys look like Niki Lauda at the same time? Definitely!
hammer: what does an engineer want more than a weapon used for smacking faces and repairing/destroying stuff?
Mesmer:
MH pistol: Sometimes you just want to keep your hands clean in a normal way.
OH horn: Just tell me, what’s more confusing than a shizo running around with a vuvuzela?!
I guess it’s more meant that different attunement using eles are in the favour of different gods.
fire – Balthasar
air – Dwayna
water – Grenth
earth – MelandruBut it has nothing to do with the gods other than the gods tied to different elements.
The power doesn’t come from the gods, and are still very much usable without the gods, while the Dervish power is not.
That’s what I said…
the elementalist is exactly the same as the dervish, it’s also based on human gods, all 5 of them actually, yet you don’t see that as a problem…..
How is the elementalist tied to the gods?
And even if it somehow is it is far from the same as Dervish.
The dervish was BUILT AROUND worship and praying to the human gods.
I guess it’s more meant that different attunement using eles are in the favour of different gods.
fire – Balthasar
air – Dwayna
water – Grenth
earth – Melandru
And i want kittening spears usable on land, atleast for rangers and/or warriors/guardians.

Not that reality has much to do with this game; but I applauded when Short Bows were given less range than Long Bows. It made perfect sense. A larger bow size means greater string size, and the farther a string can pull its arrow back, the greater the arrow’s velocity and the farther it will fly. That said, Short Bows should have been boosted in other ways to make up for the loss of range. Still waiting for that.
Why do I always have to read something like that? It’s plain nonsense. I’m traditional archer myself, practical and theoretical, since about 17 years. The most shortbows are build in a composite-style, other materials than wood is used, like leather and bone to give the arrow a better acceleration. A shortbow shoots at least the distance a longbow does, even further in most cases, but a longbow hits harder. This is (except the range…) already in the game, the longbow is better for sieges, which is even seen in the skills ingame, while a shortbow is used for skirmishing, shooting from horsebacks, open areas, not as good for sieges as the longbow is due to most commonly heavier arrows of the longbow. If you shoot over a castle wall with a shortbow, the arrow is just flying over the whole castle, while the arrows of a longbow are designed to come down in a different angle. Just to clarify that a shortbow doesn’t need to have a shorter range than a longbow.
They should atleast swap expertise (condition duration) from the marksmanship-tree and prowess (critical damage) from the skirmishing tree, so a powerbuild doesn’t have to take the condition duration and gets critical damage instead, and a trap build gets its condition duration and loses the useless critical damage. Having to take a whole of 2 trees as power ranger for the crit makes it very difficult because you are toally screwed when you can’t max out wilderness survival. So the traps would get more condition duration, not only because it’s useful but also because trap potency was already wrongly nerfed, and a power based build gets atleast some critical damage without being forced to leave the wilderness survival tree behind, which is our only decent condition removal, which is also grandmaster tier…
the whole of the rangers traitlines is a mess…
as is the petsystem
as are the weapons…darn.. why was that my choice for my main class…
Asking myself the same thing since hitting 80, but I would love the class if it would get some attention but, yeah, you know the rest of the story.
Whinig brat… ah okay whatever, go back to your imaginary life, but stop this flooding kitten because it’s annoying as hell. Why are you even refusing the idea of an official RP-server? Because you want to annoy other players for attention?
(edited by Shirk.6421)
Can someone give me a valid reason why ANet put the trap-traits into the crit-tree? I wanted to try a trapper build lately but I can’t become friends with the crit-damage… the crit-chance – okay – I can live with that but the crit-damage…. meeeh.
Why should I? Just because some idiots can’t behave? If they are allowed to interrupt my chat, why shouldn’t I be? If they start flaming, I’m just gonna suggest them to turn off their emotes, should work fine, right?
That’s why I said give the RPers an own server… an official one.
And yes, it’s not spamming, its flooding, same crap.
Next time I just flood them aswell, I mean what’s /e made for?
It’s propably because this whole spamming just annoys players who are writing in a group or guild? Already thought about this? Even when the RPers are in a group the emote (/e blablabla) goes through.
They are everywhere… I don’t even play there.
Give the roleplayers an own server so we don’t have to read this whole senseless spamming everywhere we go.
Yes, but why does the rune buff swiftness then? 2 boni you don’t need in the set then…
Same for engis.
Right now, no single movement speed bonus can exceed +33%, even when 200% movement speed is promised.
works fine here… did you read the descriptions properly?
-crossfire: applys bleed when hitting from BEHIND or from the SIDE.
-sharpened edges: 66% CHANCE to apply bleed when critting
-sigil of superior earth: 60% CHANCE to apply bleed when critting. (2 sec cooldown)
Uhhm just wait for your axe skills after finishing your chain? The 3rd attack is the most powerful (except F1 ofc). You don’t have to use everything when the cd is gone but rather find a good timing.
Then my question… why do you use the runes of speed when you use the warhorn/signet of rage to get swiftness which is more powerful? The 6th rune especially.
There is also reason that 2 faction games been common. Just because its common doesnt mean its whats best. Developers are conservative and like to reuse ideas of the past. thats why. it wasnt always common. like stated, most RPGs didnt have levels. going back as far as tabletop and into computer gaming. early RPGs didnt have levels. Levels became “the thing” after Everquest 1. That doesnt mean it has to be the set in stone way to make MMOs.
Why don’t we just delete the whole reward system? All skills/traits at lvl 1 or being instant lvl 80, 3 exotic drops from every mob, legendarys for 5g a piece…
Hello there,
so I was looking around for some ways to enhance my movement speed without dropping an offhand-weapon for a horn or a slot for a movement speed skill, and then the rune of speed came to my mind.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Superior_Rune_of_Speed
The only thing I don’t get with these is the logic behind the proc-chance/swiftness duration. A full set provides 25% movement speed all the time, 8% less speed than swiftness. So why does this rune-set buffs and provides swiftness when you (and me and most of the players using this rune to get a movement speed bonus without dropping weapons/slots for this purpose) use the rune to avoid having to take swiftness? Why would I need to buff this 8% more movement speed, when most players using this runes are using it because they “don’t want” swiftness?
Is it just me who thinks like that? If yes, please illuminate me :P
it doesn’t apply the bleeds when you shoot him straight into the face.
They already get 2 seconds of protection when you dodge, so you need a good timing for that, but even 2 seconds of protection won’t save the pets life often. And we are forced to go into the wilderness survival tree again….
On which server are you playing? Would really like to fight you, not because of hate but just for fun
Next time play against rangers not just running around there for map completion :P
Sooo, today I played some rounds in the mists and then I saw that I was running around with 2 Sun Spirits at the same time. Unfortunately I couldn’t catch a screen while fighting. Even that 5 spirits are kinda more fun than 4, I guess it isn’t wanted at all :P
(edited by Shirk.6421)
Guess what, a shortbows range potential is at least as high as a longbows one, some designs can even shoot further, but being less powerful than a longbow.
(same draw-weight ofc)
I would actually accept a reduction in bleed duration if it applied it from all angles and be happy as pie with this alone.
Lesser than this already pathetic 3 seconds?
Hope it helps a bit.
This kind of stuff always reminds me about this:

I’m not going to say he’s gonna stab you after playing a warrior, but even this kind of games can make a child addicitve or even “violent” (With violent I mean that he couldn’t take the difference between killing/hurting somebody in the game and in RL, taking it as normal.) I guess your older kid would get it, playing a hour or something per day, but believe me, it won’t stay at one hour.
But I’m not here to educate your children about games or you about parenting xD
Weird that I only get a max. of 3k outta my storm spirit as a condi ranger, but w/e, another topic.
We should really consider raiding this guys home, lawl.

I don’t like it because… well… I just don’t like it, it kinda doesn’t fit.
If you like it, why do you ask and don’t just play?
(edited by Shirk.6421)
How I love laughing about these kind of posts. grabs popcorn
And don’t forget the “5k dmg on storm-spirit is too op, nerf please” thread
Already tried to change the ground-targeting options?
-click on skill, click again to cast it
-click on skill, instantly casts it to the location of your mouse (seems like you have this)
-click on skill, skill gets casted when you release the button in the area where your cursor is now. (…or this)
Yes please… it’s kinda annoying.
I remember reading something offical that they should work additive some time ago…
unfortunately no idea where it was exactly.
Yes, that’s why I created the suggestion x)
Just wanted to play it safe^^
This can’t be a serious suggestion… nonono…
I actually speak about the normal brown backpacks.

Sorry if it wasn’t quite understandable.
