Mists/SPVP is like the best place to go if you want to report people. I see constant verbal abuse and racist language all day. They need to hire someone to just monitor pvp areas like they do with forums and to clean it up
Report them, it’s what I do.
I am really curious if this is something being discussed by the devs. This is a basic feature in nearly every other game, and it’s normally disabled by default because ability queue isn’t something most people want, but in this game it’s enabled by default and we have NO OPTION to turn it off or on.
This is something I greatly dislike, especially as a thief, because some abilities feel delayed/clunky or I’m just too spammy with my buttons and I will accidently use abilities multiple times in a row, wasting initiative or ability locking me.
Sounds to me like two independent issues being discussed.
1. Aggregate price for silk and market velocity
2. Farming for individual mats is hardI would argue that these issues aren’t actually related and shouldn’t be discussed as if they were.
Could you please change Damask to only take 50 silk instead of 100? It would help a lot.
Also reduce linen’s material requirement by 50% too, it’s nearly 5s per linen and that’s a low level mat!
Why are you keeping Damask’s silk mat cost so high still when damask is so much more expensive than every other ascended mat? Linen is part to blame for this too, being 5s each is crazy, but silk is completely out of control compared to every other t5 mat. Shouldn’t you be reducing the mats required to help rebalance silk now that it isn’t worthless?

I’m really spammy with my abilities and I get screwed over by ability queue 24/7. Can you add an option to disable this feature in HoT please?

Classes that are like 3 classes in one that can do everything at once shouldn’t exist in PVP.

I mean, what other games has a whole bank specified to crafting mats? What other games has a button to store crafting mats in the bank without having to go there?

in my opinion thieves are the best pve class
they’re run fast, and they hit hard.
against ai’s thieves are great
u can go p/p, put 4 points in trickery, make sure you get ricchochet + the healing signet
unload will take care of everythingif that is a little diffcult for you
play p/d, condi or cele , or zerker will work but when it comes to pve, I prefer to kill fast instead of waiting for condi’s to tick input 6 points in shadow arts and get that Rejuvenation going, rest is up to u, condi or crit dmg.
u probably don’t need healing signet with this build, so i’d suggest use draw back for fast traveltell me how it works out
All these suggestions aren’t good and will result in subpar DPS.
D/D is your best weapon set for single target DPS (and highest in the entire game), shortbow is good for AOE tagging lots of stuff with clusterbomb and sword/pistol is best for solo and trash in dungeons(or a boss you need to blind adds for) because of AOE pulsing blind and headshot.

My feelings on celestial are already pretty clear, it doesn’t allow classes to be jacks of all trades, it helps three specific classes turn into masters of all trades.
I feel like this is pretty accurate.
Long and short of it, I’ve played WoW for the last decade, sick of the bs and the fact that over that time I’ve spent 2000 on a computer game. PvP is my favorite and I was wondering what proffesion would be good for a new player? Thiefs look cool, but I’m sure every noob wants to play one, mesmers look cool, but I just read a post about how awful they are until level cap. Any suggestions would be very appreciated
Warrior or DPS guardian, thief and mesmer are highest risk/reward classes for the most common builds.
Thankfully this set of armor has stats not very useful for many builds, still pretty stupid how artificially expensive it is.
Yeah because the turret build has an extremely low skillcap. All your fighting is a dead boy and a stupid AI. The turret engi has very limited options once the turrets are down. Effectively a offhead chicken, and people do not GET how TERRIBLY useless that is.

I see a turret engi in 1/10 games, probably less.

I really really really really feel sorry for anyone who doesn’t have full bank + bag spaces unlocked. It must be a NIGHTMARE to play the game at all.
They’re something that you do passively as you play the game over the long term. If you choose to rush through them then of course they’re going to feel grindy.
Most of the collections aren’t even worth doing as a long term goal, because if you get some of the items needed for them you’re better off selling them for the 100g+ they sell for.
Please make collections worth doing

Well maybe that way eles would try to spend some traits into offensive traitlines and use offensive amulets?
Not possible because anet intentionally designed ele to be extremely squishy but gave them traits/utilities to be tanky, aka forced into 6 water 6 arcane 3 cantrips until the end of time.
I wonder how they handle the “practical jokers” who name a char against TOS and craft and sell large numbers of items with the tag, for example, crafted by Kitten You or crafted by Kill All (members of minority group)? Do these names all change automatically even after they’ve been sold a few times or does the company need to spend time and money tracking them down?
Yeah we shouldn’t enable chat in game either because people might say mean words.
They all seem to be very grindy, give almost no reward worth the effort, and if they do give a good reward, such as an ascended armor, you could’ve farmed a full set in the time it would’ve taken you to complete the collection for a single piece of armor.
I love the fact they’re grindy, I love the fact they exist, but the rewards for them are…underwhelming beyond belief.

They aren’t enabled in SPVP and I wouldn’t enable it in WVW. I want it for PVE.
Ranked is the only place I get decent matches, unranked is a disaster.

None of them say it but it happens in just about all of them…even WoW has huge downturns between major content releases.

I can gather almost 100 bolts for demask every 2-3 days from salvaging items drops and armor bought with dungeon tokens. Earn gold and gain scraps this way instead of “I want it right now” and throwing money at the TP. If people would stop acting rushed the supply would drop the price. The xpac won’t be for some time so really… no rush.
I can also farm 5 gold in an hour and buy the silk instead.

-33% healing on builds that don’t have access to it is huge and completely broken.
They should reduce the required amount to 50, like everywhere else. It’s unfair to those who wear light armor, it’s insanely expensive to craft it, because Damask is even needed for Medium and Heavy armor.

Can you please change it to only needing 2 scraps per refinement and not needing 100 per ascended material instead of the 50 every other mat requires? The price of silk is going up AGAIN and there’s no reason for a single ascended mat to be 4x the price of the other ones.
My matchmaking for games seem REALLY off today, is anyone else experiencing this? By off, I mean I’m against players much worse than me when I’m below average myself, usually I’m against players better than me.
I’m winning the majority of my games but the matchmaking just feels…wrong.

Other games such as LoL and truely competitive games have a huge skill cap, so I always feel like I have room to improve. In GW2, I recall feeling as if i pretty well mastered my class within the 3 or 4 weeks that I played it. Having situations where the game is simply, ‘easy’ implies there lacks depth. When there lacks depth, you lose sight of any big play because well frankly, such a thing can’t exist if there isn’t anything hard to do mechanically in the game.
I notice a huge difference between a bad and good player almost instantly, this game has the highest skill cap of any PVP MMO.
What does take skill? High Risk High Reward builds and team comps… What doesn’t? everything else.

No, there’s something with the way the game is designed that makes someone either play the game for 2 years straight and know everything, or be brand new to it. No middle ground. The only other games I’ve played like that were obscure f2p MMO’s with a tiny player base.
I too have noticed a huge difference between player skills as mentioned by wwwes. One match earlier I was playing people that were decades ahead of me, predicting everything I do, completely outplaying me, knew every single positional/blink trick in the book and just dominated me. We still won that game though.
Next game I’m against players I ACTUALLY could 2vs1, as I 2vs1’d them over and over.
PVE feels the same way, you’re either with COMPLETELY new players who have never done the dungeon/played GW2 before or veterans who know every single trick and can speed run efficiently as possible. No middle ground.
This entire games player base is either new, or a veteran of 2 years. Seems like something is wrong with the games design.

Mesmer does not need more vigor access. They get 50% vigor uptime just from 1 minor trait in a traitline that all mesmers run. It is not that necro has too little dodges, the problem is that almost all meta builds have way too much vigor uptime and in most cases it comes from passive adept or minor traits.
I like the way anet is nerfing boons. First might reducing the max dmg output and now incomig stab nerf. Would like to see some nerf to the boon vigor. Maybe go from 100% extra regen to 50-75%
Vigor has too much uptime for zero effort required, I don’t get it.
