It is as much as say exotic is alt friendly. To get both ascended gear and exotic gear you can carry over rewards from ruining events and doing days / monthly to your alts. Now if you want to take ascended or exotic gear you already have and put it on an alt you cant but this is true for armor in most games.
It’s the cost that makes it alt-unfriendly. People can’t afford to get ascended on one character, let alone on multiple…
I wouldn’t call azurite crystals, sentinel’s inscriptions, food recipes and the like prestige gear.
If it’s a cosmetic item/memorabilia then sure. I can understand not bringing them back (personally I think all these sorts of items should be bound anyway and have the sort of prestige you can’t buy with gold but that’s another topic for another time) but it’d be nice to have the more generic items and consumables be brought back seeing as they can actually affect the game and the like.
Sentinel is one of the only armour sets I can use with one of my builds. It’s sad to see I can’t get them, because they cost 200g per piece… It’s the same reason why ascended are so bad… they’re limited to overly rich players.
If Ascended Gear was reversed, you’d have an even larger group rushing to these forums screaming just like you are about their inclusion. The masses wanted vertical progression. The masses got what they wanted. I’m sorry it’s not what you wanted.
It’s never going away. Deal with it.
Proof? Nope. Not going to believe it then.
So for a newbie like me I should just keep champ farm until I got a good amount of wealth?
I’m at 460g atm
Are you out of your mind? 460g is a huge mass of gold. I never had more than 60 gold… played 1,5k hours.
I’d like to add aswell: totally alt-unfriendly: if you have 5 level 80s (I know people with as much as 10):
- You need to max all armour and all weapon crafts:
- 6×200g artificer, huntsman, weaponsmith, leathworker, armoursmith, tailor.
- 6×60g for armour per character: 5×360g
- 5×60g: lets take 5 weapons (I know that isn’t much) per character: 5×300gIn total you’d need
1200g (crafts) + 1800 (armour) + 1500 (weapons): 4500gDo you get the picture?
The thing is, do you need to? If we split the playerbase into 2 types, the type that plays for progression and goals, and the type that just plays for fun.
Plays for fun: you don’t need ascended gear to do anything. Sure it would be nice to have it but nothing needs Ascended items in the game. Why would you NEED Ascended gear for alts?
Plays for progression: if you just make Ascended items equate to Exotics (ie, gets handed to you on a silver plate) then there’s nothing for a lot those people to achieve.
If it isn’t NEEDED then guess what, it shouldn’t have been introduced in the first place!
It’s not like this game is perfectly fine in every single aspect to warrant a time investment of the devs to create a new tier gear that ISN’T NEEDED.
I’m going to connect with this argument. Technically gear progression isn’t needed. To make it understandable let me use a comparative approach:
PvE: Ascended are redundant:
- Player A has Exotic gear – He’s fighting a PvE environment.
- In only one case Ascended gear is needed: fractals, since you need agony resistance.
- There is no need for ascended gear in any other part of the PvE world.
QED: Ascended in PvE are redundant except for fractals
PvP: Ascended are redundant:
- PvP = Players fighting players, to see who’s the better fighter (therefore they need to have the same means: armour/weapons/…)
- Player A has Exotic gear – He’s fighting Player B who has Exotic gear too.
- Player A & B are on an equal footing.
- Ascended are now the highest tier armour.
- ArenaNet wants all their players to get ascended armour.
- Player C has Ascended gear – He’s fighting Player D who has Ascended gear too.
- Player C & D are on an equal footing.
QED: Ascended make no difference in PvP so long as everyone has them (which was clearly the intention of Anet).
The problem we see: not near everyone in this game will be able to get ascended gear as it is. Does Anet wish to make their PvP unbalanced? Apparently that is the only solution to this paradigm. But then it is no longer something called competitive, and it serves no use at all. > WvW would become useless if we accept that not everyone can get ascended gear after an acceptable amount of effort.
I’m going to refute this: Arenanet has no advantage of making their PvP unbalanced.
So ascended are redundant.
First victory sip over server win? xD
- 5×60g: lets take 5 weapons (I know that isn’t much) per character: 5×300g
In total you’d need
1200g (crafts) + 1800 (armour) + 1500 (weapons): 4500g
Do you get the picture?
Make me go get 100 tokens from every dungeon, a gift of ascension, whatever.
Don’t make me craft.
Problem is, everything else would be “too easy” in anets eyes. They want players to farm months on end to get all those ‘top gear items’. They’re incredibly expensive and cost unreasonably much. I don’t know many people who have 400 gold lying around for one armour and one weapon craft and 60 gold per armourpiece/weapon…
If I wanted to gear out my guardian in one set that would make:
- Armour craft: 200g
- Armour:
6 × 60g = 360g - Weapon craft: 200g
- Weapons:
- Greatsword: 60g
- Mace: 60g
- Shield: 60g
= 180g
In total…
200+200+360+180 = 940 gold for one single set-up, and I didn’t mention runes/sigils yet.
Seriously anet. It wouldn’t be able to afford it if it was 10g per craft and 5g per piece…
That would still be 2*10+6*5+3*5 = 65 gold
Farming 65 gold would keep me busy in PvE for at least 2 weeks, and then I would have only 1 set-up.
I have 5 exotic sets on my guardian at the moment and some 10 weapons.
That would mean 30g (armour) x 5 and 5g (weapon)x10. In total that would be 200g for gearing one character with all the sets I need for my WvW fights.
Would be busy for 2 months at least and then I still have 4 other level 80s.
…
Ascended farming is ridiculous. Please face the truth.
I would like it gone.
In fact I’d like Exotics (stats, not looks) gone as well.
Less grind. More room to experiment.
Yep. I would play this game a lot more (and actually do things I like) if there wasn’t something like gear progression in this game. For WvW I have 7 classes. I try tons of builds on them, and I need different stat combos (and runes/sigils) for most. It’s really costly.
I think exotic is ok as top tier. They could remove rares. I think they should keep it whites, blues, greens, and exotics.
Exotics are quite expensive still. I never had 100g at the same time to be honest, and some exotic stats are very expensive: dire (10g per armour piece). I think they should just add more karma traders for armour and maybe make exotic drop some more. I think I got less than 10 exotic drops in nearly 1,5k hours of playing.
You’re right that certain stats are expensive. That is mostly upgrades though. If that was the end of the line for armor progression I could live with it easilly, becuase you could get a cheap set or buy one for karma. there’s different stats at different temples. Or you could mix and match. the skins are the same.
Yeah ok, that’s reasonable. Would always be nice to get all stats available through karma/badges, but that will just be a quality of life improvement :P
if you start making penalties on stealth for thieves… the whole class will become useless.
I keep hearing this but im sure
allmost of the people saying this havent read most if not all of the OP;Thieves need other ways of defense that doesnt involve being annoying, and imho they already are ok without constant stealth since they have a LOT of teleports and evades, but if needed, increase them. The class is supposed to be an acrobat, not a jehovas witness at 9am on a Sunday at your door
That would make them into something equal to ranger…
MY SUGGESTIONS FOR OUTMANNED:
- Let it trigger when you have only 3/4 of the other server’s coverage
- Supply capacity for outmanned: +5
- Increase movement speed, vitality and toughness based on the amount of people running with you.
- Allow 2 servers to gain outmanned (to cope with the potential of a 3rd very high population server)
- Outbreak events now start from spawn to nearby keeps every 30 minutes. Siegerazer drops ballistas and arrowcarts.
When server has less than 2/5 of the other server’s pop trigger another buff:
- Defense of forts: Make all guards veterans without update needed, triple the amount of ranged NPC’s.
- Other servers can not gain points from capping the home borderland of this server.
- Your server now gains points from ruins (count for +5 per tick if defended).
- Increase tower walls and gates.
- Outbreak event start from keeps to nearby towers every 30 minutes: Siegerazer now drops rams and catapults.
Hello all,
Doing WvW in a low population server is very hard, we are always the underdog and most of the time we just feed the huge zerg of higher population servers.
The “Outnumbered” buff was a nice move but I think we need a bit more. When a server gets the “Outnumbered” buff on a specific map it should also get another buff as per my suggestion:
“Desperate Resistance” – Triggered by “Outnumbered” plus less than 33% of control points on a specific map. Fades off when “Outnumbered” disappears or the server has more than 66% of control points on a specific map. Only applicable to the server with less total points of the 3 competing servers.
Buffs:
permanent +33% movement speed
+10% in all Primary Attributes (Power, Precision, Toughness and Vitality)
Outpost upgrades decreased by -33% of needed supply plus construction times +33% faster.
+1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 ….. 5 hours later….. +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 ….. New year…. +1 +1 +1 +1 …. patch: Starts client and starts kicking those blobs. Muhahahaha, down with the stackers!
I bet the OP would have no problem if his server was stomping lower populated ones. People making threads like this are just being hypocrites.
People making replies like this are desperately trying to defend their blobs. Pathetic.
“The Season 1 is a failure overall”. Do you agree?
Yes. Servers are completely unbalanced and victory is pretty much assured because certain servers have more players, others have less. The ones with more population win, end of story, no competition. On that note, some servers are marked as high population, but a big percentage of their players have stopped playing and still count for high population. Transfers are broken. The worst thing is that the servers with more blobs will be rewarded more than servers with organized small scale teams, because blobs overpower anything.
What motivates you to continue playing? Recently I’ve started to think about the motives that drive different people to play the same game. I suspect a lot of the hostility I see on the forums could be caused by different people not understanding what makes others tick. Essentially, most of us are unable to see that other people like things differently than we do.
In a recent thread it occurred to me that there may be at least four different types of players. I’m curious to know if there may be more.
A first kind of player enjoy working on enhancing the abilities of their character. They want to continually improve their character is very important to their satisfaction.
A second kind of player enjoys variety. They want to be able to try out lots of different builds and classes.
A third kind may be a social gamer. What motivates them is meeting people and/or playing with friends.
A fourth kind may be the competitive gamer. They want to show their skills and use them to defeat other players. This can be in PvP or the BLTP.
What do you think?
Close but not quite.
Cool. I didn’t know about that. Thanks!
Ooh that’s quite nice
If I were to enumerate the archetypes I’d say:
1- On a level of activities:
- Cosmetic players: skins, looks, hairstyles, characters
- Roleplayers: Lore, stories,
- Economic players: TP flippers, gold hoarders
- Challenge players: achieve a competence in something, overcome challenges
- Social players: who enjoy interaction with other people
2- On a level of depth/time investment/advancement:
- Casual
- Relaxed
- Normal
- Hardcore
- Extreme
There are probably more levels or criteria.
I would like it gone.

I would only go along with this if they allowed you to gain the infusion slot on your exotics some way. perhaps pay a nominal gold amout for it/ perhaps a mission to infuse.
Just leaving the slot on ascended makes it more desirable that exotic, which defeats the purpose.
Leave the ascended stuff for skin or bragging rights = ok
but truth be known, I just want it gone.
I’m not sure if you would benefit from infusion slot if it took up the upgrade slot of the exotic item. Maybe it would be better to keep the ascended gear for fractals only, so people who need agony resistance aren’t penalized.
Pls make tier 1 servers to have their own division
T2 server doesn’t like fighting T1 server, and T1 server doesn’t like fighting T2 server either. The power gap is just too big
Anet pls
Season 2 isn’t coming anytime soon. Hopefully there isn’t one.
Yea its really shocking to go from 10 secs + skill lag sometimes to poof nothing smooth gameplay!
No need to exaggerate yet. I still have skill lagg occasionally, but I seem to have it less in big fights. Maps start lagging sometimes though, especially when a zerg gets near, our guild is using the shout “Zerg lagg” and we always spot a zerg in a minimap radius of us after the lagg starts. So don’t cheer yet. It’s better, but it’s not solved.
Sounds good. Problem is: they start making LS 4 months before it’s released. So if they even decide to listen to this comment, it will only have it’s effects in 4 months.
Didn’t you know WvWvW means Warriors v Warriors v Warriors?
Hahahahah xD
I would like it gone.

taking something away that players think they earned is never a good idea. ANet is not likely to do something like that …
Oh, wait…
L O L
QUAGGAN. Yeah it’s annoying that you don’t have access to their meshes. Could be nice to toy with them a little.
We just do not have access to skeletons and animations as far as I can tell. I could rig my own skeleton to the meshes(or even use Oblivion’s player skeleton) and make poses out of those, but that is a lot of work for an amateur and would probably cause me a lot of headache. It is normally the kind of work you pay a professional to do. Maybe someday if I get back into it.
Ah sorry miscomprehended then. I haven’t done rigging + animating myself (more of an amateur on modelling buildings). :P I guess it would be a bit annoying to do that yourself certainly if you wish to make it look near exact to what it used to be in GW2. I don’t know the difficulties involved, so don’t know really. Good luck either way
I have another sentiment about Asc. Gear being alt friendly: It is and it isn’t. Laurels are account bound. That is friendly. Rings you get in Fractals are account bound. That is alt. friendly. Asc. Crafting is alt friendly, because the gear is account bound. I find getting trinkets and ascended back pieces to be an annoyance.
Fractal level is now account bound (It was before too really, you just went back to your main fractal character at the start of the Jade Maw Fractal) so that is (and was) friendly. It’s also lame that it wasn’t like how it’s going to be from day 1 but that is an issue for another topic.
True but there’s no WvW/PvP activity that is specialized into creating ascended gear.
And WvW players have a way bigger need of different gear and optimized gear than PvE players do.
Craft wars yay.
PvE Wars yay!
I see what you did there atse
You mean state the truth? :P
Legendaries are a joke.
They should seriously unbind armour and stats. Right now I have 5 full sets of exotic armour for my guardian and over 10 different weapons. The current system is very very bad for variety.
They are meant to take advantage of openings. Don’t give them that opening.
True story, but thieves only have that opening. If they waste their burst… either run as fast as they can OR surprise the enemy and use tactics. I tend to like the second approach. It’s a lot of fun to teleport around, confusing people using the various shadowsteps and then striking hard and fast. I never run in fights myself (might explain why I die often? :P, -), but I know a lot of thieves do it.
Apart from that, please don’t say I’m defending thieves, I play 6 other classes (4 others currently at level 80, multiple exotic gears). And if you start making penalties on stealth for thieves… the whole class will become useless.
We’re really going to capture that 2nd spot. GJ to everyone.
Hahahahah Jathres, that video. xD You made my day!
Edit: Btw, that fight near garri (3rd I think), was that after we fought that zerg on the isle (at sentry) between vale and lake?
I saw some swords there while tech was fighting over vale, water and orchard.
(edited by Sirendor.1394)
Nice find!
Btw rare is a copy of the fine (with other colours) and exotic is a copy of the master (with other colours).
(edited by Sirendor.1394)
And you can tell just by looking at them that the male and female do not share the same skeleton.
That’s why I added the caveat “or at least the bones have the same names(some could be missing)”
Sometimes two different skeleton files can be different, in that the vertices might have different lengths, but as long as the naming convention of the bones are same then they will still receive motion data from the animation files. So different animations, made with different skeletons, can still be interchangeable.
I base this off my experience as amateur animator back when Oblivion modding was big, and not as a professional. For example, in that game you could play a dog’s animation on your player, with some hilarious and creepy results. This was despite the fact that the dog’s skeleton did not even have all of the same bones as he player, and the ones that it did had completely different proportions. But the names for most of the bones were the same.
I could be wrong about GW2, specifically, but I doubt things are that different across the industry. If, for some reason, they did things very differently and all of the bones between the males and females had different names then the player would likely just float around in a T-pose if the animations were switched. But they could still be switched.
I could confirm this if I ever manage to extract the skeletons and animation files.
I once attempted to extract npc models/anims for GW2 into blender, so I could create some rendered poses for the official gw2wiki… and failed. The community-made extractor that I found did not preserve the file paths. All I found were unrigged meshes.
A lot of companies are really protective of their 3d assets and make them hard to get to. Bethesda is a bit more open, so there is room for amateur modders to work with their stuff.
I did find this though…
QUAGGAN. Yeah it’s annoying that you don’t have access to their meshes. Could be nice to toy with them a little.
The classes that have stealth are incredibly weak compared to others.
Thieves and mesmers only have 2 viable set-ups: pure zerk and pure condi. Both mean the thief/mesmer is low on vitality and toughness, and really easy to kill.
Just to give an example: my zerk thief does ~7k (4-5k on a heavy armour target) with backstab and there’s a delay on backstab because of the Revealed state. On top he only has 13k health. A zerk warrior has easily 20k+ health and does 2-4k per second with axes and can hit easily 7-8k with whirlwind attack on a low armour target.
To top that it also has the best mobility in the whole game: leaps and movement skills both on weapons and utilities, perma swiftness. And lastly it has damage negators on shield and endure pain. Seriously, if one class needs nerf it’s warrior.
Eles are weak really. I don’t see reason to nerf their downed and I have no idea what exploit you referring to for meteor shower.
If it would be me… I would sell it.
I’m not getting ascended until the prices become reasonable. 200g for a craft… 60 per piece and a crap ton of time-gated kitten? No thanks. If the power creep continues I’m leaving with the next big game.
OP just sounds like one those guys who thinks everyone should be able to get everything.
There has always been and there will always be content that is dedicated to those who put the time and effort of reaching them. In GW2 those happen to be legendary weapons and other pricy skins.
Let’s agree to disagree on that. I don’t see champ trains as dedication and certainly not as effort.
A lot of us participate in WvW! Myself? I tend to hop around. I’ve played on AR, SoR, JQ, BG, SBI, IoJ, CD, FA, and a few others.
Playing with the tag on is completely optional, though. When I do use it I like to call it WvW: Tribulation Mode.
Be nice to the little green engineer.
Will you come to Vabbi? Would be nice to see a dev ninjaing stonemist with us xD
That would be Tribulation Mode + Gambits o_ONooo… I wanna fight dev’s not watch them!
Dev tag is a magnet to zergs from both sides though, if they came to our server they’d get zerged heavily, if they went to the larger server in our matchup they’d not have that issue.. but anyone trying to fight them would find them well protected.
Hey hey, don’t underestimate our defensive forces. We would keep him safe, our little goblin. But true, assassinating devs inside a zerg might be more exciting ^^
The game basically is a giant gold sink, so farmers are the logical answer to that. Various things in the game require ludicrous amounts of gold, such as crafting the Halloween weapons, or legendaries. Farming makes this process is easier for everyone. You’ll have plenty of materials to buy from the TP, and the more there are of those, the more the prices of them sink. Its basic supply and demand. If farmers flood the market with materials, prices drop. More precursors and exotics will be available on the TP as well, and at a lower price. Win win for all of us.
Actually it’s only win win for people who have money… and those are either TP flippers, farmers themselves or people who got a precursor drop. Everyone else is screwed. Let me refer to this thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/2700gold-You-re-kidding-bro/first#post3243547
And to back my claim that ascended are a material sink: here’s what you need for crafting from 400 to 450 in weaponsmith:
250 Orichalcum Ore ( 552 per)
192 Ancient Wood Log ( 515 per)
3 Pile of Crystalline Dust (1611 per)
30 Elaborate Totem (1569 per)
40 Glob of Ectoplasm (37 0 per)
1 Orichalcum Dagger Hilt (1680 per)
2 Rabid Orichalcum Imbued Inscription ( 33811 per)
450 to 500 in weaponsmith:
508 Orichalcum Ore ( 552 per)
360 Ancient Wood Log ( 515 per)
40 Elaborate Totem (1569 per)
140 Glob of Ectoplasm (37 0 per)
30 Flawless Snowflake ( 980 per)
5 Orichalcum Dagger Hilt (1680 per)
7 Large Ancient Haft (30 0 per)
5 Orichalcum Spear Head (30 0 per)
4 Shaman’s Orichalcum Imbued Inscription ( 41487 per)
8 Rabid Orichalcum Imbued Inscription ( 33811 per)
2 Settler’s Orichalcum Imbued Inscription ( 41997 per)
3 Dire Orichalcum Imbued Inscription ( 41846 per)
(copied from gw2crafts.net)
For one ascended weapon (greatsword):
20 Pile of Crystaline dust
370 Thermocatalytic Reagent
1 Augur crystal
10 Dark matter
500 Pile of Bloodstone Dust
500 Emperyal Shard
500 Dragonite Ore
180 Iron Ingot
90 Steel Ingot
180 Darksteel Ingot
450 Mithril Ingot
12 Globs of Ectoplasm
60 Soft Wood Plank
60 Seasoned Wood Plank
60 Hard Wood Plank
150 Elder Wood Plank
1 Exotic Inscription
30 Obsidian Shard

Here’s what I don’t understand: Why do you care how people spend their time or how much gold they have?
And:
OK so farmers gather materials, sell to market and drop prices. The inflation of goods right? Lots of goods are farmed meaning prices are low and Anet creates ascended crafting because of lots of goods? No, Anet created ascended crafting to promote vertical progression.
You just said in point 1 that the items become close to worthless. Farmers would have to change which items they gathered constantly as they flooded the market and suppressed prices. As for your last sentence…what in the world? Legendaries ARE a farm. Precursors become more expensive as supply doesn’t keep up with demand and people who save gold are always bidding up the price. If anything, you should want more farmers since they’re creating goods, CREATING NEW PRECURSORS.
And this:
So your answer is to stop people from doing dungeons, activities they DO like and make them get their own items through…farming everything? Give everyone a legendary? Or do you think Anet is going to introduce a fixed gold system which is going to magically work?
I’ll answer all these:
1- I don’t mind if anyone is spending their time farming champions… however it shouldn’t force other players to farm those champions aswell. For me, WvW is a lot more enjoyable. I don’t like farming champions. Why should I be forced to farm champions in order to gain gold?
2- I think you didn’t understand what I was stating:
- Farmers gather materials, they sell the materials, materials run from 30 copper to 1s (except t6), which is quite cheap, for the farmers.
- Problem is, these farmers have a ton of gold, because the farms give more gold than any other part of the game. Other players do not have such amounts of gold, so for them materials may be cheap, but not as cheap as they would like, especially because certain things require enormous amounts of those materials (ascended/legendaries).
- Anet scales the requirements for stuff such as legendaries according to what the most profitable farmer can earn in a day: legendaries cost you ~1500g to make. Crafting to 500 for ascended costs ~200g and each piece costs another ~60g.
- Non-farmers are not able to obtain said amounts of gold in order to achieve those things, because their activities do not reward as much as the others. In that respect, the biggest issue is that non-farm activities do not reward as good as champ trains/material runs.
- Materials indeed drop in price, and this is problematic cause non-farmers also get their money from materials (although they get a lot less material drops). Thing is, even if they are ridiculously cheap for a farmer, they are still expensive for people who don’t farm. The 200g required for getting a craft to 500 is nothing for a farmer. It is a huge amount for one who doesn’t farm.
3- I think you completely missed my point. My solution would mean you can do anything you like and gain money through anything: if you like to go do champ farms, sure go for it, you won’t influence prices anymore, but you’ll still gain enough money to get all your shinies. If you like do do dungeons, go do them, you’ll gain as much as a champ farmer. If you like to do WvW small scale, go do it! If you like to do jumping puzzles, go for it!
Instead of restricting players in doing what they want, I think it would actually allow people to do whatever they want.
3 would actually increase inflation drastically because it takes the trading post out of the equation . For every transaction on the trading post there is a 15%% tax taking gold out of the economy . Without the TP tax the inflation would be much higher right now . What exactly are you going to spend your gold on once the TP goes away anyway since all gold is account bound?
My idea was to add NPC stores with any kind of item you can think. Not legendaries of course. Legendaries shouldn’t be something able to be bought. But I for one wouldn’t have any objection if they had fixed precursor prices at 500 gold in the beginning of the game. Back then they were maybe 50g… now they’re on their way to 1000g. There wouldn’t be a need for gold sinks, since there wouldn’t be inflation… gold would keep it’s worth and items would stay the same gold price always. That way, you can gather gold any way you want (if they applied making everything as profitable) and don’t worry about having to farm faster cause every item keeps getting more expensive.
Right now the entire economy is attached to Anet’s income. A utopian economy could only work with a subscription.
This would be one of the maior objections to my proposal. Indeed, I’m quite sceptical about how Anet would get income through gems if the in-game economy would be detached from gems. They can’t obviously fix gem prices (in gold), since that would reduce their income. Gem prices go up all the time, meaning a lot of people are in fact using Gold>Gems, which means they get less income through that than if people actually bought their gems with real life money.
OP is either really stupid or trolling.
Oh crap, posted on wrong game forum again. Forgot we’re all playing Farm Wars 2. Guess the maiority of non-farmers have already left the game or disappeared in the glorious WvW. Nobody takes non-farmers serious. -sniff-
AND i’m only theoretizing, I see a lot of flaws with the idea, but I’m interested how other people would see it, regardless of their being wealthy or not in this game.
The combat mechanics are fine. The rewards are not. Smaller groups should be better rewarded for doing the same things as larger ones. Soloing a supply camp should be 2x the reward of taking it with a 60 man zerg. Capturing a keep with 5 people, same idea.
On the other hand, level of upgrades should also modify the reward both for capture and defense.

That would be Tribulation Mode + Gambits o_O
Your first point kinda made me think about basic idea of communism and Central-controlled economy. You know what? It failed
Communism has only failed on the large scale. Communism is still doing great on the small to medium scale. Matter of fact, it’s the only thing that keeps capitalism running.
To add, it only failed because the “central controllers” were corrupt. Since the central controllers here are one gaming company that already got a large chunk of it’s income through selling their game and gets the other part through gems (=/= gold). I think your analogy is far off (@Rym).
Yeah. make gold account bound. Yeah. so then it has no purpose and has no point. facilitating sweet kitten all. As brain damaged an idea as I’ve ever seen.
You would actually still earn gold and use that gold in order to buy the items you need. It wouldn’t become useless at all, please read the whole thread and reflect on the idea I present, before answerring.
