Haha, well this is a nice idea, but rather utopic. Your character has went through a story, and I think that story should stay the same. You shouldn’t just be able to change into something completely different. I’m fine with hairstyles, but not with gender changes.
Class changes could work, IF you kept the character’s looks completely the same.

Or you could just pick creative names:
→ Sylvari Warrior: Vegetable Slayer
→ Asura Engineer: Suicide Firework
→ Human Mesmer: Disguised Moa

If we just give other the chance to see this thread and make sure Anet sees it, they might well make it possible. it’s only a small change and they could actually ask gems for an “Account Name change”

I like the idea of this. They had a similar system in guild wars 1, where you could just load an armour and skill template without a lot of work. Please make this!!!

Mhmm you could just implement the paragon from gw1 again. Mix between ranged combat and melee combat.

Support 100%; soulbound dyes are crap.

Srsly support this: make the world alive!

Engineer needs another weapon definitely.
- Pistols: mix of CD and outright DPS —> result: crappy damage
- Rifle: not enough damaging skills: we have n°1 skill that allows constant fire, but no volleys or whatsoever
- Grenades: hardly viable in pvp: targets move to fast to actually hit them with the grenades (cause of ground-targetting). A good change would be that you allowed grenades to target players instead of ground!! Please think this over.
- Bombs: only good thing is the “Good ol’ Bomb” there, all the rest is pretty sucky.
- Turrets: too high recharge time to make it a good weapon
- Shield: good for blocking projectiles, nothing else
- Mine: only 1 mine? Takes to long to recharge
- Flamethrower: low dmg, misses a lot when moving around
- Elixir gun: crap

I like the idea of a sniper gun, to allow the engineer to become more of an offensive class, rather than having to run away all the time cause your skills are loading and cause you actually don’t have any big dmg skills that allow you to quickly finish fights, such as the warrior, the thief, the mesmer have.

Haha? Gandara learned from Piken/Fort Ranik? We had no chance against those kittens. They outnumbered us 3 to 1 all the time. WvWvW is a mess that involves nothing but giant zergs rushing in and no particular skill or strategy.
Hope they either change the way it works or just delete it.

Also, you get rewarded for simply running from one point to the next and back again, without any sense of creativity… And it’s just a matter of having the most people (always one team who’s losing and their members just leave and make it even worse).
People who decide to play strategically don’t get any reward whatsoever, cause they didn’t get a lot of kills (while simply overpowering with the amount of players you have) and didn’t capture a lot of points cause they were distracting the opposite team… there should be room for other things here: please check my post about that.

Hello everyone! I like to do my share of SPvP (just rank 12 though), and there are some things that should be better…

For example: my playstyle is rather tanky and distractive. I play a mesmer, warrior or thief most of the time and I always go for the tanky builds. This way I don’t get a lot of kills, but I absorb tons of damage, and manage to get my team members some time to actually go and catch those points, while I distract half the other team.

Regretfully, you don’t seem to get ANY points for absorbing damage and distracting people. Therefore I would really like it if Anet implemented a system where you also get glory based on the damage you have absorbed and the damage you have in turn delivered. It’s lame that you only get glory for running from point to point, so that every player just runs with the team and does nothing but try to get himself as much glory as possible, without really delivering any substantial support.
I do manage to get my team a win a lot of the time, but I don’t get any glory or whatsoever for playing this way, although I have a huge share in the victories.

More suggestions? Please go ahead and call them out! Thank you!

I hope they get Cantha and Elona back in the running, for then, yeah those weapons would be appropiate.

Hello everyone! I like to do my share of SPvP (just rank 12 though), and there are some things that should be better…

Yep, they should allow players to play WvWvW every once in a while and actually get to see that you had any effect at all. The battle rages on every moment, and it doesn’t even feel personal or anything, it’s just… madness. Also: alliances would be a great addition. I’m on the Gandara server atm and we just get dominated by one of the two other servers all the time. We don’t even get a chance to play WvWvW properly cause of that. Instead, if we got a chance to visibly ally ourselves to another server, we could play a bigger and more deciding role. You should also not allow dominators to keep on dominating, cause there’s no fun in it at all.

Complete support. I’m a player who likes to make new characters every once in a while and it’s very annoying that you need to get high-end dyes over again while you’ve already bought them once. Just do it Anet, you’ll make us happy
