Hold on, a healing utility or an utility or a healing skill? I’m not sure what you mean.
Also, engineer kit heals 1k each with it’s med kit + an f1 5k heal. That’s 8k heal.
I suggested 2,5k heal per skill and no other heals, apart from the weapon skills. That makes 7,5k heal. Of course it’s up to Anet to weigh all that out. We leave invulnerability away, that’s a sound idea.

I think Redrex also didn’t allow these spiritualists to use shield, so torch would be the defensive offhand. I think he also has put his own ideas about this on top post. Guess we better check it

EDIT: I’ve read all the skills and descriptions and they look to be very nice, with a nice organisation. I only hope the devs don’t think them to overpowered.

^Oh yeah, for better lay-out, you can put messages bold (good for titles and the like) by typing * before and after the message. Like that. message -> * message * without the spaces.
Another lay-out option is cursive: message -> _ message _ without spaces.

Thief Main-Hand Only Skillsets

Hey there mate, I happened across your name and thought “Who can that be?”
Anyways, I read your point of view and I think it holds a lot of interesting features.
Mainly, I’d like to say following things;

1- In some of the descriptions of offhand no-armed attacks you mention “jabbing” with your dagger, sword or shooting with your pistol. This goes against the principle of offhand concept I think. If you use an attack related to the offhand, why are you using the mainhand weapon?
This is no critizism, but either you you use the mainhand weapon, by switching it to your offhand, or you use nothing but your fist while using the 4-5 skill.
Otherwise it’s like you still use 2 daggers instead of one.

2- I really like the idea of introducing bare-handed combat, cause it seems like something that’s natural and lacking in the game. You introduce the feature of using only a main-hand weapon… what if we fight without any weapon, just bare-handed?
Pros/cons?

3- Stats, this seems an issue indeed, but your hands don’t have runes or anything in them, as far as I think. I suggest another solution. Introduce the “gauntlet” as a weapon. This would allow you to smash people with your gauntlet, that would have certain stats.

The Alchemist

In that regard, Tyler, if you see the “alchemist” as a wizard who manipulates the elements… that’s the elementalist. He manipulates the 4 core elements(fire, water, earth and air) and the arcane, the combination of these 4 elements.

Your profession seems to be a bit like a mix-up of the other classes and features we’ve seen so far.
→ “Nature”: these are just ordinary attacks like the ones elementalist use
→ “Morph”: mix between mesmer’s Moa ability, between thief (stealthing), between engineer (who uses potions and the like), between buffing…
Mhmm doesn’t look like very original. Sorry.

Also I have some issues fitting it into the class system we have atm:
You said you have “Force” and with the Force you create attacks, that come from the utility bar? What about the number 1 to 5 skills? Are they spells that use Force too? Are they just random weapon attacks? I’m not sure what you have in mind, please specify.

^I wouldn’t care if they left, if they had to choose between 2 guilds and decided to get the other one. I just get frustrated that when we organize events half the people who were recruited don’t even care to check it.

I suggest we get an option to view when the last time was a person has represented, so we get a better view on who to kick and who not to kick. Thanks for your understanding.

I didn’t see the healing doll as the med kit really. You don’t need to drop a doll to get healed, but get healed the moment you use the spell. I think you could charge these heals, and while they charge, you are immune to damage.

Only one summoning/awakening ritual per weapon? What if you made the only n°3 skill a ritual then?
Example:
- on 2-handed weapons ritual will be n°3 skill (staff: Welter of Sorrow)
- on 1-handed weapons it’s a combo between MH and OH: I have following ideas:

-> Torch offhand only useable with Dagger & Mace
-> Dagger offhand only useable with Scepter & Dagger
-> Focus offhand only useable with Mace & Scepter

Hello everyone and welcome to this thread. This post is based on the previously made thread by Alamore.1974. That thread asked the players for their suggestions for new weapons. I concede. Representing breaks communities. I’m officer in a not too big guild, and it hurts when you see new members aren’t representing and don’t actually join in when we have a little chat and have some fun together.
I do think representing all guilds is impossible, cause you would see chat from each guild at the same time (complete madness). Also, what’s the point of a guild, when you join 3 of them…

Representing is only good in so far as you can have only 1 guild per character, instead of 4…

Another thing: some changes on dolls how they should be in my opinion:

Heal skill
Blessing of Deluvai (heal yourself, 5 skills):
1- one-time instant heal (2,5k), the doll absorbs 1/3 damage during this stage
2- one-time instant heal (2,5k), the doll absorbs 1/3 damage during this stage
3- one-time instant heal (2,5k), the doll absorbs 1/3 damage during this stage
4- give yourself one random boon: swiftness, protection or retaliation
5- heal yourself of up to 4 conditions, depending on the number of orbs you have

Utility skills
Curse of Lazavai (stack conditions on target foe):
1- (AUTO) Bleed your foe, by stabbing the doll with a needle.
2- Poison your foe, by stabbing the doll with poisonous dart.
3- Stun your foe, by twisting the puppet.
4- Cripple your foe, by breaking the doll’s legs.
5- Deal one powerful slash to Lazavai, dealing extra damage to target foe with every condition on him.

Rage of Malavai(deal direct damage to target foe):
1- (AUTO) Stab the puppet from 3 angles (cycle), hitting the enemy harder with last attack.
2- Make target foe vulnerable, by punching the puppet’s chest
3- Gain fury upon hitting the doll, dealing extra damage to target foe.
4- Body-block, immobilize the enemy, by binding the puppet.
5- Wring the puppet’s neck, hitting the enemy for +5% damage, for each soul orb you have activated.

Boon of Haravai(support allies):
1- (AUTO) Jab your doll.
2- Grant swiftness to nearby allies.
3- Throw your puppet. The area where it hits, heals allies.
4- Grant yourself and nearby allies 1 second protection per soul orb.
5- Use the spirit energy of your doll, granting yourself and nearby allies 3 stacks of fury.

Rituals should be on n°3 and n°5, cause if you use another offhand weapon, it would affect the kind of ritual. I’ll try to make a list on these n°3-n°5 skills and would be cool if you guys could refine/critize them to make them as perfect as possible. I’ve taken a great deal of inspiration from the original ritualist skills: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/List_of_ritualist_skills.

F1 Soul orb skill is solely dependent on the Mainhand weapon.
Number 3 Ritual skill is combination of Mainhand weapon and Offhand weapon.
Number 5 Ritual skill is solely dependent on the Offhand weapon.

Staff (Supportive: regeneration):
1° Spirit light
2° Spirit strike (blind)
3° Soothing surge: Reflect incoming damage for 2 seconds by calling upon your ancestors and gain x % (scales with level) more Healing Power for a duration of 10 seconds.
4° Thump (knockback)
5° Welter of Sorrow: Summon a forgiving ancestor who cures up to 3 conditions and grants AoE heal. This also immobilizes all the enemies in the area, but they do not take damage, while immobilized.

Mace/torch (Protective: protection)
1° Smash (attack chain)
2° Rock (grapple foe, knocking down).
3° Glyph of Warding: Summon a protection bubble around yourself, negating damage for 5 seconds.

5° Armor of Unfeeling: Call upon the souls in the Vault of Souls to stand around you. They will take 1/3th of the damage you get dealt and reflect 50% of the attacks.

Scepter/focus (Offensive:might)

The Visionary

Can’t you make the Visionary into a heave arm class, to make a compromis?
The gauntlet/battlestaff would really fit into such a role. I like your idea about the visionary but I don’t know if it’s possible. These seem like some really complex systems to implement into the game.

Also you mention all sorts of modes, you mentioned the spiritualist mode, but what are the other ones?

As for spiritualist mode, I like the idea for using the ashes of your ancestors to use their skills. It’s a bit like a kit on engineer (flamethrower, elixir gun, bomb kit, grenade kit…), but with ashes instead. Shouldn’t you make these ashes utility skills, so you can only use them limited? I don’t think it’s a good idea to grant them all three ash kits at the same time in battle, because the class would become very versatile.

Also: maybe you ment these ashes as different modes?

If you choose Delunvai as heal slot, you need to put more than 1 possible other doll in utility skills. I reread the idea of the rituals, but gtg for now. I’ll check for more pictures.

- I think it’s best to keep 2 dolls and you could spawn them as an environmental weapon! I like Direks idea, with following addition:
Autoattack for Malanvai: Jab (damage opponent)
Autoattack for Delunvai: Stroke (heal yourself)

- Rituals… mhm I’m not sure what these rituals could do, but I think summonings are part of rituals, so maybe Rituals of Summoning, Rituals of Destruction, Rituals of Awakening, Rituals of Transformation?

Only one thought keeping me busy about this: is it viable? We can’t possibly be tapping 20 keys at the same time, cause then it’s not about in-game skill, but about being able to tap the fastest, which would be a waste of the dynamic combat the game has atm.
With your suggestion it seems like we have some 5 new keys to minister (dodge, parry, block, duck, strafe and whatsoever). Might be better if we just kept it simple (double-tap to dodge).

Direk, I already adressed the issue about the jars and it is a misconception. If you read what I say, you’ll understand it.
I’ll explain is short here: Redrex didn’t put a restriction on the number of jars per weapon, but did put a restriction on the number of jars in total. This means you can use the f1 skill more than one time! For example:
- 4 jars that grant ability x (1 weapon)
- 2 jars that grant ability x, 2 that grant ability y (2 weapons)
- 1 jar that grants ability x, 3 that grant ability y (2 weapons)
- 3 jars that grant ability x, 1 that grant ability y (2 weapons)
- 4 jars that grant ability y (1 weapon)

You would have to choose between those 4 weapons and their respective boosts, and decide upon which 2 you like more, or you can simply stick with 1.

Markers can function as symbols, agreed. It’s not for us to decide though. Even IF Anet decides that the spiritualist is a worthy addition, they will change a lot of it.

Alright I’m getting what you are looking for a bit better now Red.

First off: misconceptions:
- I thought the jar would be something you would put on the ground, and the enemy could easily destroy them by attacking them and shattering them in one hit. I think your idea now is of summoning jars that will dangle from your weapon and disintegrate within a certain span of time? I like that more

- Also I thought you could only activate 1 jar per weapon, e.g. if you activated the jar on staff, you can’t make another one. I see that is not at all the way you look at it. In your vision (as I think you mean it), you are able to stack certain jars of the same category, allowing you a bigger benefit.

Alright so now some comments on the other things:

→ Dolls as a state of being… ok! But I have a bit of trouble reflecting how this works in battle. For example the Evil Doll would allow you to cast a state of being on your enemy that punishes him with all the actions he does:
- If he tries to heal, his heal gets disabled for one more second and only heals for 75%
- If he tries to dodge, he gets crippled, but he manages to dodge.
- If he tries to attack, his attacks return and so on…
Problem with this: what if there are more than one enemies? Do they all get cursed, or only one? How does this skill manifestate? Like a doll and needle in your characters hands?
I have an idea for this: you get a doll and you absorb damage for 5 seconds. Depending on how much dmg you received, the doll will have more or less strength. On the moment the damage absorbing is over you automatically use one of the 1-5 skills, depending on the grade of “power” your doll has reached.
Every uneven skill on the Evil doll casts a curse, every uneven one casts a blessing.
Every uneven skill on the Good doll casts a blessing, every uneven one casts a curse.

Doll skills:
- Curse of Malanvai (evil doll)
- Blessing of Delunvai (good doll)

Other option, as Direkson has suggested.

→ Markers: magnificent. I think they function a bit like the wells of Necromancers, but I like the idea of spiritbonds. These would also be an utility, just like dolls.
- Good markers or Holy markers?
- Evil markers or Dark markers?
- All sorts of variety between these, like you suggested

Idea for an elite skill: “Spirit Power”: channel magic through yourself to stun and damage enemies over time and empower and heal allies.

Such a shame that Guild Wars 2 can’t make up to everything. They should have a bigger staff who could work on all these updates that are necessary.
