Just to continue the confusion…
OP said it is the Soros Assassin sword.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Soros%27s_weapons
They all look yellow to me.
http://dulfy.net/2012/11/13/gw2-staff-skin-gallery/
So many good choices.
@Heimskarl,
That is called the Raven Staff; been talked about as a Legendary since 2013.
Did it ever make into the actual game? Don’t think so.
(edited by Slalom.3174)
I retired this year so now have lots more time to play GW2. hehe
Started with UO/Catskills (sad day when I sold that account; still miss my tower with its rooftop swimming pool and stable of nightmares and dragons).
Ok,time for an update. heeh.
Reconnected my G13 game pad and created new commands for the G600.
Two loops thru Silverwastes convinces me that I will be staying PvE until body-memory clicks the right buttons. A day or two, right?
With 29 programmable buttons on the G13 (not counting shifts) and 20 on the G600 (or 38+Gshift) there may almost options be enough to get by.
I set the keyboard aside during game play. Don’t need it atm (Mumble in WvW).
Thanks for all the help, folks. You’ve been a great help!
Cheers.
lol not sure where you got ‘small and dainty’ from. I have rather large hands for a female, with long fingers.
LOLOL, my stereotypical myopic male assumption, I guess.
Just as, in my world, “All men” have big, clumsy, man-hands. Thanks for the awakening.
Anyway, the G600 still feels small just like most every mouse I have used.
But I can learn and adjust.
@Kal Spiro, yea, I like Newegg.com too, but there is no New Egg store 3 miles from me where I can check hardware before buying online.
Anyways, Tiger Direct is closing their storefronts and will be strictly online.
That leaves only Best Buy, Walmart, Staples etc. to get emergency hardware.
Again, Thank Goodness for Amazon Prime! ha!
Just an update for anyone interested.
Ordered the G600 from Amazon Tuesday at 3:15pm
Received it this morning at 10:15am.
And Free Shipping, too!
I just love Amazon Prime!
Also I dusted off my Logitech G13 and am matching/adjusting profiles.
A little tricksy, but working fine so far.
Except for messaging I think I can eliminate the keyboard entirely and I get the joystick for moving (combined with mouse, of course).
@Lanfear, good to hear that the G600 is not suited to small, dainty hands. I went by TigerDirect to check the size, but those folks are closing their stores! What!
And thank you for the confirmation about on-board profile. One video said they were buggy.
@GummiBear, the ring-click is the finger finger button. Some people say it is troublesome, but I hope it might be useful.
Also my right pinky has nothing to do; just waving in the wind. What about that?
FYI, I ordered the G600 from Amazon. 2-day delivery. Can’t Wait.
From forum posts and YouTube vids, it seems the Logitech G600 is a pretty good, wired, mmo gaming mouse.
My Razer Naga has deteriorated (after 4 years) so looking at the Logitech.
I really want to get away from the Razer Synapse software and the G600 seems like a good fit.
And Amazon and NewEgg are selling the G600 fro $30 less than List.
So my questions…
1. Do you use on-board memory profiles or computer-based? Why?
2. Is the ring-click really troublesome? Is yours Active or Disabled? What bind – Dodge, maybe?
Just your thoughts. Thanks.
Poison stacks?
fyi, engineer… grenade kit range is 900; mortar will be long-range (1500?)
Thank you for the summary, TheFantasticGman.9451
And yes, Spirits will no longer move.
I am impressed by your mobility, as well as your creative sense and music selection.
Were you using the same bunker build you mentioned back in March? Or a variation?
I wonder whether this is another feature related to the upcoming Trait system?
Based on that announcement we must complete skill challenges.
Sill a work in progress maybe.
Not to hijack a thread, but since today’s announcement about Skills, Traits, Specializations, it looks like “speed-leveling” characters with scrolls and tomes will not get us to a playable condition until we complete skill challenges throughout Tyria.
I am hoping the new system is well-thought out, including the irritation level.
Hey Bro,
I checked the Laurel vendor in Rata Sum; recipe is not listed.
Which vendor were you thinking might have it?
I dumped Shadowstarkirby’s text into GW2Skills.
Here is the result:
http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?fZAQNAoaVl0MpwpNOx7JsPNRLRtdHEdjomPQA0ZW8FA-TBSDgA9K/M3f44EAk8EAlgvq/AqPAw83whAAA-e
You can bump around the traits and skills and choose your own food and utility.
Good luck!
Looking for a Tarnished Coast guild that meets the following specs:
- Plays evenings EST
- Requires rep only during WvW
- Pursues tactical/havoc objectives (avoids zerging and gvg actions)
- Able to field a small team of 3-10 most every night
- Enforces a “Don’t Ask/Don’t Tell” environment regarding personal information exchange in open channels
- Has Mumble or Teamspeak
Contact me via in-game mail or pm.
I have 13 80s, but prefer Adventurer classes.
Can re-craft and re-spec to meet needs.
Guild size does not matter.
If there are enough others looking for a similar guild, we might form a new one.
Wolves are found along the north edge of Umberglade Woods of the Eternal Battlegrounds. So if your server is Blue, then getting there is easier than if Green.
Red is not much more of a run.
Green is harder only because it is on the other side of the map.
Speed and caution!
Using this link (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/List_of_pet_locations), I ported to the Helion Forest waypoint (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hellion_Forest).
There were 2 forest spiders right there.
I only charmed one. You can go get the other. heeh
Well, I made my Asura ranger (druid wannabe) last night. So bouncy!
Just 10 more pets to complete the set.
Then what?
Charr, Human, Sylvari so far…
I guess, then, an Asura Druid would not be out of the realm of possibility.
With the coming of Druids, they will have to be human. sigh
How will you play yours?
As the dark seer bent on human sacrifice or the lawgiver, civic leader that communes with and interprets the natural world?
Or will you say, “Forget accuracy!” and play any old race you like?
And ANET, we will need a selection of long flowing beards.
Thank you very much!

Matt,
Check this thread and included links.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/ranger/Build-Exuberance-Frontliner/first#post4858698
You will find that you are moving a good direction.
Good luck and enjoy.
Ax 1 stacks might.
Ax2 bleeds
Ax3 chills and weakens
Ax4 pierces
Ax5 reflects
so it seems to work for Power and Condition.
AS Puck said, there are options. That is always the case, isn’kitten
I have been running my variation for the last 5 days.
~3K armor, 30k+- health (with buffs), ~2500 Power, 40%+ crit, 190%+ crit dmg
Camp clears are a snap.
Speed is lacking without warhorn.
Need greater boon duration
Cleanse is lacking (need to be with a guardian)
I carry a long bow for defenses and when greatly outnumbered.
Also use a off-hand ax instead of warhorn when in a large zerg.
My vote is Sennheiser PC310. Wired, of course. On-Ear, not Over-Ear.
Sound and mic pickup is flawless.
http://en-us.sennheiser.com/gaming-headset-stereo-pc-310
Some issues I have after 4 years using mine.
1. foam mic cover has kitten in it (probably from screaming obscenities at ganking thieves).
2. coating on head pad has worn off.
3. glue holding cloth ear pads has released; Periodically I have to tuck cloth back into1t place.
Being wired, you have to deal with the cable.
It has in-line volume (and On/Off).
I can wear the set all evening comfortably (not too heavy, stays in place).
at 1:07, those look like draconic shoulders, but later, not so much.
off topic (sorry)
at 1:17-1:19 … I want that spear!
Take a look here for ideas, then adjust for what you think you will like.
http://metabattle.com/wiki/MetaBattle_Wiki
Good luck and have fun.
@Red Queen, Thank you for the skins idea. Never have enough to choose from.
I still buy Obsidian shards from Balthazar whenever I run low. Stockpiling t6 mats and making weapons.
EotM is the best place I know to raise karma. 500k in a few days is plenty enough for me.
Git yo’ Piggie now! It’s Golden!
and only 23 hours 59 minutes left to buy!
Ain’t that the way it always goes! haah
Bats on land
Dolphins in the water.
Seems kind of wrong that my pet follows when I lay a trap and move off. Players know just where I am
Having a way to track stealthers would make life easier, but imagine the crying on the Thief forum. LOL
So, almost done with the interim set.
I ran out of laurels so can’t buy the Sentinel weapon recipes.
Otherwise those are crafted.
Here’s what it looks like:
http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?fNAQNBhODbkRlOWrYxhFqWDQIULDg3tdMUsHrzkYHSZWf4JIA-TVCBABtfEAyR9HtUSs0+DS8AAA4iAklyNGVCiouhAAIA38mZz2MwRP6NH6NvZZAYXAA-w
For roaming/small groups, Traits are 4,0,6,4,0 with Spotter and Warhorn offhand
Power 2300, Armor 2900, Health 26000, Crit% 38, Crit Dmg 186%
For zergs, Traits are 2,0,6,6,0 with Survival of the Fittest and Axe offhand
Power 2200, Armor 2900, Health 27000, Crit% 31, Crit Dmg 186%
Those numbers do not include guild buffs, guardian and other buffs.
Still tweaking and will be working toward ascended armor.
I rotate pets based on activity. So Marsh Drake and Murello are the poison appliers, but I like birds and canines too.
Hoping to get a really nice gear design to go with those cool Cobalt/Bronze weapons.
LOL, big decision here….
What skin for the backpiece. Maybe will keep Rox’s quiver as a target.
@LughLongArm,
That is almost exactly the build I put together. Kind of merging yours and Jim’s
Sitting at 25k Health and 2950 armor and 2500 power.
Still tweaking.
I will probably carry both horn and spare axe.
(edited by Slalom.3174)
Lol, I seem to draw a lot of attention too.
But a strong breeze will down me.
I like the horn more than offhand axe (need for speed).
Thanks, Crapgame.
I was figuring all other sources being equal.
@JimHunter
Those Wurm runes are only 30 silver on TP. Nice
Your plan uses exotic Soldier gear
You guys are making me think about this pretty hard. LOL
@LughLongArm, @JimHunter
Swirching out Ascended Sentinel armor for Exotic Soldier armor drops Health pool by about 1100, other stats seem about the same (or slightly better).
I don’t see a way to make up the Health shortfall.
A cheap alternative? Thoughts?
Of course, that’s better before infusions
Welcome back
Look at http://www.gw2crafts.net/ for guides to efficiently level those skills.
As Tribio indicated, gear depends on what you want to do.
The 5%+/- stat bonus of Ascended would be helpful mostly in PvP, then WvW.
Not so much in PvE.
FYI, metabattle.com has arious builds that are pretty much up-to-date. You can check there for guidelines.
Good luck and welcome back.
If you are talking about the Living Story, you can check your Hero panel.
Unfortunately if those episodes weren’t unlocked while the Story was active, you will have to buy them.
The new areas are Dry Top and Silver wastes. The wiki and Dulfy.net has good information on each.
Not to hijack the thread; maybe just a follow-up.
What cast option setting do you use for ground-targeted traps — “Instant” or “Fast with Range Indicator”?
Anyone listen to GWEN radio ( http://www.gw-en.com/ )?
Comments? Opinions? Tips? Best Players?
look at these two options:
http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Guardian_-_GS_Sword/Focus
http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Guardian_-_Fractal_Hammer
Good luck!
Did someone wrote on metabattle that sigil of night work everywhere? Don’t think so, but maybe i’m wrong?
Fails again? Do you see a lot of fails on there?
Thaddeus,
That is the impression I got from one their builds.
But looking later in another (Phalanx Support), I see they say to use Night in only nighttime dungeons, then in daytimes use Frailty and Undead Slaying in Arah).
So all I needed to do is keep searching.
My bad, I guess.
Anyway, I usually start at metabattle.com and then customize. They can’t be all solutions to all situations for all people, right?
Saying they “failed” is, again, my bad. Thanks for calling me on it so I can try to fix my words.
Thank you.
Didn’t really think that they would all be nighttime.
(metabattle.com fails again, ha!)
Do Sigils of Night give 10% damage in all dungeons? fractals?
That is, are all dungeons and factals considered nighttime settings?
Thanks.
Making a dungeon-running warrior build..
I bet you know this already (so just a reminder):
http://dulfy.net/2012/09/16/gw2-jumping-puzzles-guides-guild-wars-2/
Great idea. Wish you well.
Yea, maybe Valkyrie for the power-based set (for a zerging set and for power-based roamer).
The condition set would only be used for roaming, but looking for the something flexible so I can try different builds.
Thanks guys.
My little guy is nearing maturity (lvl 80) and is anxious to join the WvW fray in earnest.
So I have been studying Wolfineer build suggestions for a while.
It seems necessary to carry multiple armor sets to meet various activities -> Condition vs. Power. Roamer vs Zergling.
So, fellow geniuses, what armor sets are “best” to carry?
I am leaning toward two sets (Dire and Celestial).
Then I will use trinkets, weapons, traits and utils. to accomplish various builds?
Sound okay? Is there a better pair?
Note: I am not including Berserker, Assassin or Knight on purpose.
Edit: I have a Celestial set languishing in the vault and insignias for most other sets. So materials/cost is not an issue.
(edited by Slalom.3174)
I haven’t played my mesmer for over a year.
Just for fun I thought I would make a WvW roamer using a condition PU build.
Why Condition? Because I had several condition pieces lying around my bank.
So here is the build I want to try:
http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?fhAQNArfWlknpRtlpxTNcrNSpxY6cO6GSGQFlsjyB-TVTBABUoEEijAwlqFE4+DMYC6F9BVqCBSKxISVlFMxoxDA4LlHAcKACAgAYoFahmbezhGSBYxaA-w
The off-hand is set to torch, but I can go pistol and will adjust traits accordingly. Will swap out a focus when more speed is needed.
Anyway, I am conflicted about which sigils to choose.
I am not big on Condition duration in WvW (too many clears and duration reductions).
Energy on one, for sure, will help pump out clones (this will be the fun part).
Force will provide a little boost to DPS.
Other builds suggest Accuracy, Agony, Corruption (stacking, ehh), Doom. The list is quite long.
Someday, maybe I can even afford Torment. hehe
So…opinions?
