I took the fall damage trait, and carefully dropped myself to the first rock on the left. Then you can proceed from there.
I used to think that Sharkmaw was simply a matter of aiming for the waterfalls while you slide down, but either I was wrong, or this got bugged at some point. Now doing that is a guaranteed suicide.
Waterfalls working as intended, I was wet upon surviving the fall.
There’s a rock jutting out on the right side of the slide-in that you can aim for to stop your drop. You’ll take damage, and depending on your level and gear you may survive it.
If you make it to that point, you can heal up and hop back into the slide, through the maw, and down into a pond. Aim for the center. Good luck.
No amount of gear or levels will reduce falling damage.
I didn’t say it would. You’re not down-scaled in LA, so gear bonuses and level count for vitality.
Fall damage is a % value of your hp based on the distance of the drop, if you have double the hp, you take double the dmg, gear and level literally does nothing besides change the size of the number, it won’t affect the proportion of the number to your max hp.
I might be wrong, but isn’t the fire magic bug already fixed?

Just looked at my ele, the equipment menu is staying at a steady 2758 unbuffed power regardless of attunement.
You can always speak to frifox about mesmer dps if you want to learn more, he has a couple spreadsheets in his signature that are very in-depth.
Before the patch a mesmer with 3 iSwordsman was at something like 11k dps without reflects, and 6k was from the phantasms. Ele dps was sitting above 15k pre-patch? And with the bugged fire line, as well as able to swap into water for the 20% multiplier on icebow/fgs, I would assume it has slightly improved its damage(plus burning on crits, but probably not a big boost next to the 20% and 10% multipliers we can get in water).

You can use the pillar on the right side as you enter alphards arena to continuously LoS her, should mitigate most of the damage, and it can’t be destroyed randomly like the boxes.
1. Hit tazza
2. Flee in terror
3. Go down the stairs into the room where the 3 golems were, stay on the left staircase where the overhang is(left of the portal in story)
4. Hug the railing of the staircase to LoS her and force her to come partway down the staircase to regain LoS with you
5. Step off the staircase into the room, maintain LoS with her until she does her mind spike teleport
Champions aggro will break once you get off the stairs, he may throw a random projectile at you though

Carry on guard, you can even solo the last ranged boss. And WoR all the mobs to death with Save yourselves as a source of fury. I dragged a guildie and some random pugs through it, you can say “stand here” then manage the rest of the battle with utilities.

May i ask why you hoard 100+ Rings? Are you Speculating on a Ring-Eater which gives you a Gift if you feed him an Ascended Ring?
If you are waiting on Stat-Changing for Rings, it would be enough to keep only a handful unless you really want to create 50 Chars.

Only class that can’t exploit is necro, cause lel, lets not give a class any reflects. Though you can give a mes a lightning hammer, mountain goat onto the wall, then port a necro up with a reflecting crystal that you hope is high quality.

That’s true, this game is known for being pretty inconsistent.
The trait description used to state weapon auras only, combo fields were therefore not included. But they messed up with the trait changes.

I think they just need to only count 1 symbol, regardless of source, not the total number of symbols affecting your target.
So symbolic avenger gives a 10% multiplier per symbol right? Which means with 50 guards stacking 3 symbols and buffing a single guard using focus 5, you would hit:
Base = 3556*2.5*857.5/2800
Crit dmg= 231%
Multipliers: 1.07*1.1*1.1^150*1.01^8*1.2*1.1*1.1*1.05*1.25 = 3929308.749
In order: burning foes, under retal, symbolic avenger, power of virtuous, unscathed, scholar, night, force, vuln
Total damage with average weapon str = 24,389,710,571
With full ascended you could probably get closer to 25mil.

It occurs in almost every dungeon on 1-2 of the paths. Cm 1/3 the last mob right before you jump into the open area for the boss path; they begin running towards you as you pass the big rock, but they havent used a skill yet, if you are in stealth they attempt to follow you into the boss area which is why groups go out to the shallow water.

All of the oozes had their pathing threshold passed so they started to follow him, then he teleported/ran to lupi and allowed them to catch up so their new base aggro point was at lupi not their spawn.
Look at most record videos, you’ll see the stealth sections where the group will pause for 1-2 seconds near some mobs, these mobs usually path to stealthed groups.

There are two ways of addressing this issue: One, the one you are suggesting: Dumb down the monsters until anyone in any gear can do it.
The other one would be to simply don’t make fights anymore than require a large zerg. Since half of the people, like you, are semingly unwilling to think about their mistakes, rather than how strong the enemy is, it would be better to simply not be forced to play with such people.
Ofcourse, there is still the possibilty to keep the changes as they are and to wait until enough people finally realize, that they have to change up their gameplay.
They could just introduce instances allowing us to avoid random people holding back everyone else. But that might ruin the living story immersion, or smthg…. I think we’re supposed to blame the pvp balance or the zerker meta, probably those filthy elitists doing this.

Roll guard/thief and find another player that uses the opposite class. You can carry any group as a solid duo, minus Shoggroth and Simin. I’d still suggest finding good players to fill the other 3 slots, but guard/thief is a solid base for a pug group who run around like headless chickens.
Played with a thief in cm, using only smoke screen and shadow refuge and not pathing mobs, then he asks " why are you waiting like that", I answer for pathing, he asks " wtf is pathing" .

I have yet to find a pug that understands what pathing is. It’s only understood in filthy guildmate and dungeon forum cliques. I am doing my best to spread the word of pathing to the masses.
I had a thief who knew how to combo black powder and how to path, but she left after p3 because she didn’t want to deal with the other 3 players.

Offical PvF to Zerker Elitist Translator is here.
He ran at least 150 difficulty 49 fractals, as well as a minimum of 150 difficulty 50 fractals.
For ~105-113 of the 49s he received rare/exotic rewards with a few interspersed ascended rewards.
For ~105-113 of the 50s he received blue/green rewards with a few interspersed exotic rewards, which seem to have occurred at a rate similar to precursors.
Translator Notes:
I am curious, with weapons that have a dmg range of 100, you do a minimum of 5x that amount of hits(500+) where you decrease as many of the factors that affect outgoing damage when testing a coefficient and quite possibly you do upwards of 1000 hits. Since I’ve seen 1 precursor drop in nearly 3 years of slaughtering mobs, I’m going to assume that precursor drop rates are irrelevant to the drop rate of exotics on fractal 50s, pretty sure that was a hyperbolic statement.
What about adding in the uncategorized fractal at difficulty 40? It’s an easy shard to roll, with a lowish AR req that many ppl already have and is easy to obtain by mid August, as well as the fractal not having the RNG element like swamp does, or being an underwater 3man like the krait-filled depths. Not sure what the urban battleground is like as a trio, maybe it as well.
The only thing that effects VP damage is power. Its armour ignoring and unaffected by mods, vuln etc. I believe the max damage ticks possible is 42.
42 when my ele is hitting 6k crits is 0.7% if there is no icd and you have a ps war, it’s kind of underwhelming. Though it is very amusing to be draining mai trin’s hp through her shield, that’s probably the most enjoyable part of having random pug necros in my fractal parties.

If you want to do it without changing traits or armour. Slot shadow step, agility sig, hide in shadows and shadow trap. Shortbow 5 max range, dodge, dodge, agility sig(while using shadowstep), shadow step max range, lay down shadow trap, shadow return, depending on your current agony tick, either dodge first or use hide in shadows, make sure the heal portion of the skill activates when you don’t have agony on you, dodge again.
When you are back outside the room and heal up, wait for your cooldowns to come off then use destroy shadow trap, and follow the same steps without using shadow return or shortbow 5.
You can also swap flanking strikes for thrill of the crime to get swiftness, pop your steal as you shortbow, or as you activate destroy shadow trap.
I had a guardian use empower after I blasted 25 might off my fire field. “We have a ps war”……
There is a short aftercast on dagger and sword auto for thief that doesn’t allow another skill to be used for fractions of a second.
Reason: because anet? They could have extended the duration of the actual skill slightly which would allow you to interrupt it more easily, but still have taken the same amount of time to hit the damage and finish the aftercast.

Sometimes he’ll turn around and start returning to his start position when you stealth, if you get incredibly unlucky he’ll just reset when you go into stealth. Incredibly rare for either occurrence though, I think it’s mainly when you are stealthing too far away from his ‘spawn’, after he’s done some shadow walking.
Balthazar was already a cheap option for people not wanting to use scholar. For classes that apply burning it’s now slightly better, but most likely still sub-par compared to running scholar.
You are likely thinking rune of the flame legion instead of balthazar.

I’d suggest running the path on say a warrior to learn the run, but you can accomplish all arah trash runs on any class regardless of armour/weapon stats.
Bring a condi cleanse(or 2), bring a speed buff, and use your ranged fears/warhorn 4 to hit the enemies like illusionists. With the update you can now bring a groud targetted blind well to throw into mobs. If you get tricky you can throw the flesh wurm at certain places and teleport up rock faces with its activated skill, remember to use deathshroud as an extra cc as well as a hp pool for when you end up in an aoe. Also skill 2 in deathshroud can be used as a movement skill into mobs, then you can use the fear on staff 5 to stop their attacks, staff 4 is another condi cleanse, staff 3 can chill mobs allowing you to outpace them.
If you can, get swiftness off group members to avoid having to bring spectral walk or using warhorn 5(it will put you in combat slowing down your run and keeping you near enemies for longer).
There are also tricks related to mob pathing, where you can avoid certain mobs to give yourself safe areas to move between, you’ll pick them up as you play, just avoid bringing the vile oozes onto the WP.
Edit: Stealth consumables like feathers/spy kits and swiftness consumables like hylek pots.

Death blossom works on his bolt, but you can just use CnD and wait on the backstab to regen energy in stealth. And you need to pre-empt the bolt to dodge it.
mainly because one of them is unloading a kitten ton of burns.
Mesmer pull, feedback, double warden. kitten ton of burns on the bosses, to be exact, 2 aoes spawned per nearby enemy, cough 10 cough, each stacking burning
With firestorm(glyph), 9 might and flame burst i hit 926 burn damage in pvp. Using lightning storm instead i hit 876. I was missing the burning precision proc.
When I had 25 might and 25 vuln(full preblast and lightning storm) plus burning prec and flame burst i hit a 1295. With fire storm instead you could probably be hitting near 1900 since it can add another 4 stacks. And if you attune to fire in combat and get hit flame shield will give you another stack.
Engineer streamlined kits is now 20sec swift on 20sec cd, still nearly perfect uptime.
With the 5% dagger dmg on thieves being made baseline, do we assume that it’s a 1.05 multiplier automatically applied, or they increased the coeff by 5%?

That’s only a dps up if your target is not against a wall. So that’s really not a good example. In fact CC are generally not used in rotations, as far as I’m aware of.
Path of scars bounces off objects, blade trail(warrior GS) is a dps increase only off wall because it stops at objects.
Also ranger longbow rotation includes the knockback shot if you aren’t at 1000+ range (pure longbow I should say, like random rangers in SW)
And sadly there’s not a lot to do about the movement, since the thief has to melee (and on top of that move around a lot to attack from her back).
Max melee range on thief is 261 if you face perpendicular to your target(either deselect target or continuously move with your right mouse button held down) while wielding daggers. To compare, an untraited lava font is a 240 diameter.
So with bandit crests being made a token in the wallet, does that mean it’s a dungeon?

I just realized something.. with the changes to burning, Tar in Arah p1 is going to be a pain, especially in pugs.
One Guardian should be able to do perma burning. If you have some eles they will be getting burn on crit too so it would only be an issue in really weird party comps.
As long as the pugs aren’t stacking in every corner they come across they can use the whiskey without hitting their team, oh wait…..
