Money + skill testing content that doesn’t require 30 ppl to all be at that skill level. And having a goal, it’s quite nice to look back at when I first failed my DnT trial and compare it to now when people thank me for carrying them. It’s nice to know I haven’t spent 9 months accomplishing nothing.
I wasn’t really around but apparently it was the typical strat before FGS too /shrug.
Failing to bait out their attacks or LoSing too late can end up being a lot of fire fields all over your party, that corner pulls all 3(compared to the first spot ppl used that would pull 1 or 2) and provides protection from the fire fields that are shot(2 per player).
If you fail the pull it usually escalates too fast for the average player to react, and most react in useless ways anyways. So it is a safe place to use that brings all the golems together without having a surprise aoe at your feet.
So far I’ve been unable to solo it on guard with WoR in terms of solo burst, if someone plans on using engi/ele to pull, you’ll want a projectile defense down right away, and someone else to follow up after with the party prepared to bring the damage.
The guild wars name refers to the historical guild wars that took place in arah before it sunk. It’s why the city collapsed and sunk beneath the waves in the first place to later be brought back to the surface by zhaitan. Sheesh, don’t you play through the game for the lore?
From what I noticed when running around wvw with my thief, reveal can be applied on a stealthed player without causing immediate loss of invisibility. Few times I saw both stealth and reveal icons on my buff bar. For stealth sources like SR, even when already in stealth, when reveal was applied on me, it simply left me in stealth but the additional application of stealth from SR didn’t happen.
The question is how they are using ‘revealing’. Is it the in-game sense of, application of the reveal debuff, or is it literally, revealing(to show something that is hidden) a player.
Because I accidentally dodged mai trin’s shot with a normal dodge and was trying to figure out the timing. Turns out mai trin is horribly laggy while recording.

Depends on what the coefficient will be, apparently we’ll have to go test that post patch, as well as the weapon quality and type.

Of course not, but if you’re trying to do something to be profitable, you want to do the most profitable thing(which includes the least amount of work), so you calculate your profit, then you calculate the effort put in and compare it to other forms of profit making that have varying amounts of work involved.
too bad most people dont want to get their head out of tyria because they are somewhat fame and dont want to start from zero because they couldnt be the “best” anymore

No, I still don’t understand. Even if you sold for 2.5 gold per slot you’re still “profiting,” as well as the buyer.
The buyer’s gain only matters in terms of attracting them to your instance. In terms of profit, yes you’re making a profit(ish), you gain gold and spend time, if you sell slots for 6g each and make 24g in 50mins for a solo and waiting for buyers, you get just under 50s a minute of time spent. Compare this value to other ways of making gold, like SW, full group dungeons, etc.. and you can figure out if the profit you’re making is worth your time and effort, depending on latency and how close to passing out you are.
A 4sec reveal that stops stealth? It’s not exactly like you can just spam that randomly and stop all stealth on the boss. Considering all you need to stop victoria from killing you is having a second party member hit her during the windup, stopping her from stealthing only limits her using death blossom, which could just be used without stealth they could even add in caltrops and dancing dagger like the flame legion shadowblades have. There are plenty of skill choices that could be used outside of stealth.
In terms of mossman, a reflect trivializes most of his stealth anyways, no surprise bouncing axe when you keep reflects between you and his axe and unlike victoria he doesn’t permanently remain in stealth. Not having access to stealth doesn’t limit his skill use, they could always add in forced norn forms for him if abusing reveal was breaking his encounter, those skill sets already exist for him.

Cough skilled play cough. Apparently being able to counter things is bad. Maybe they should make his axe unblockable because using a reflect would break part of the encounter.
As an ele I find the conjure nerfs okay
Fiery Charge: The damage of this ability has been increased by 60%
Ice Bow Frost Volley: Damage increased by 25%. Vulnerability application of this ability has been increased from 10 seconds to 15.
Ice Bow Frost Fan: The damage of this ability has been increased by 25%.
What nerfs? The only nerf was fgs mobility, everything else stayed the same or got increased.
Lock On: Striking a foe in stealth analyzes them, revealing them and inflicting them with 10 stacks of vulnerability for 8 seconds. This trait has a 20 second internal cooldown.
It’s pretty ambiguous. It either means enemies are forced out of stealth, given a reveal buff while stealth or both.
The question is, does victoria/mossman function like spires invisibility, in that it isn’t actually the stealth buff, you’re just invisible.

No icd was listed, but its only a summary, several other skills and traits don’t have icds listed. And during the stream they mentioned a couple as they noticed there was no icd mentioned.
We’ll have to see when it’s actually released.
So should guardian be activating virtue of justice on boss fights or not? Now that burning is harder to acquire and a multiplier for both ele and guard.
Does glacial heart have a icd? Or is it all crits with a hammer inflict chill?
Convert Thread: Now applies 25 stack of vulnerability to nearby PHIWs and randomly replies to posts, taunting all nearby foes for 2seconds granting yourself 3seconds of resistance and protection.
It’s not a 300 power nerf. 74 of the missing stats is being made baseline raising all base stats from 926 to 1000. The remaining stats are being put into your armour, so berserker armour will have increased base pow/prec/fero, your armour/weps will have biggers numbers on them.
Mesmer minor in first line is a 0.5% dmg modifier per stack of vuln (vuln is 50% more effective basically)
Stream is at 2 hours and they haven’t gotten through half the classes. I don’t know if we can really summarize it.
Each crafting profession is 7 levels. Do 1-20 without crafting, the xp gain at those levels is increased exponentially, and slowly reduced back down to actual xp rewards. Ie. lvl 1 is 200% xp gain, and by the time you hit lvl 20 you are at 100% xp gain.
My screen captures don’t record gw2 when I go into fullscreen 1920×1080 though. It shows my desktop, unsure why.

Weird… still seems silly to me to have to stand under him for him to be stunned. It doesn’t seem intentional because I can’t imagine why someone would want to design it this way but thanks for the post nonetheless.
If you’re low manning the fractal it may be that you don’t have enough players to fully strip the defiant stacks and apply the next stun.

If you hit her during the animation it breaks it. In groups you can avoid using aegis/stab/stun break as long as your groups constantly hits her.
The skelk hatchlings can be completely avoided as long as you keep moving, they need to be stationary to use their attack which allows you to walk out of the range.
Healing power is usually preferred over vitality. Vitality allows you to take a big hit, but you still need to regen that hp afterwards, heal pow allows for faster regen between hits. And don’t forget to dodge, dodging saves lives.
Plan ahead on the encounters, be prepared to swap 2-3 utilities between fights. Make good use of the different combo fields. Lots of reflects possible with guardian on ranged bosses, and aegis to block powerful attacks. Necro and thief can provide blind fields. Ranger can bring warhorn + red moa for permanent fury. Thief can blast the ranger torch field to prestack might with shortbow 2.
D/D rotation is CnD→ backstab→ 1 auto chain→ CnD. The cast time on CnD occurs when revealed runs out, so you end up striking right after the debuff disappears.
You could always rename the rulsets to: “So exploitive it physically pains Arenanet devs to watch” and “Only a little bit exploitive so we’ll call it creativity”.
Thief brings good cleave with s/p on mobs, then d/d for high dmg on bosses(or if the mobs are 1-2 enemies). Do the pvp dailies to get easy tomes of knowledge each day.
For people confused about where the stat points are going; 74 will be put into base stats, raising all stats from 926 base to 1000, the rest are being spread into your actual gear stats.
Please remove the rng aoe after phase 2, or at lease add red circles. It is so annoying to get downed by something you cant avoid.
At this point I’m no longer sure which attacks you’re referring to. Do you mean the aoes that spawn during his 2→3 transition? That already have indicators, but in melee range they spawn and land at the same time as the circle?

Warrior is brought for its offensive buffing from both banners and might generation through PS. It also has vuln application which can be bursted with OMM while doing reflects at lupi.
Guard/Mes are your reflect and utility classe. Guard bringing blinds, aegis, reflects and some cleansing as well as good damage. Mes bringing lots of reflects, good cleansing, good burst but mediocre average damage and a good pull, plus power block on bosses.
Thief has good cleave, lots of blinds and ridiculous single target damage as well as easy access to smoke fields and plenty of blasts.
Elementalist has good might generation in s/f, excellent aoe damage with staff which becomes stronger the larger the bosses hitbox, as well as amazing vuln stacking with glyph of storms.
Engineer has very good sustained vuln as well as access to smoke fields, reflects, easy blasts and a pull if traited. All of the attacks used in the current meta rotation are aoes/cones.
Ranger has good damage, reflects with offhand axe as well as a pull, a longer fire field, permanent fury if you lack an ele plus spotter and frost spirit for unique buffs. Also some vuln and possible might from pets. The AA chain takes practice.
Necro has weak cleave, but good damage. Unfortunately it lacks group support outside of vuln application and 1 blast finisher on a minion utility which you don’t want to get stuck in combat with.
Why not treat the out-of-bounds problem like the game using a teleport?(vaguely, how the game tries to find a viable path between current and future location)
If you stop time when a player uses a teleport/movement skill, could you(in any amount of time) using only jumping(without a macro) and walking(with or without swiftness) get to the same place?

He’ll move back and forth, but you can continuously step in and out of range for your attacks to connect while being too far for him to actually start a skill(besides pull/agony).
From what I understood, spirit shards are a random drop off enemies, still dropped from champ bags, and all current SP are converted to shards upon logging in on a character for the first time after the patch with an unknown ETA. However we will get that experience from the end dungeon reward going to the masteries( 1 set is only in HoT, 1 set in the current world).
