After reading all the post, I understand that your problem with Asura for being too small to predict. My argument is the action animation of Asura is different with other races. You people just need to learn the animation and I myself wearing glass can duel an pop Asura with no problem, I don’t see why everyone else should have problem with it. In a serious tournament, it is being unfair for the player that like to play Asura forced to choose other race because of some spectators. First, it is impact their mental, who can play well while being forced to do so. Second, it is the habit, the action that the new race give off, they have to adjust the angle, the animation, the speed,etc..So clearly forced a player that play Asura regularly to different races in tournament already put them in a big disadvantage bf the fight even start, if you knw what I mean. Sorry for broken English.

Or We could have a feature that exchange Glory for Gem.So PvP player can still focus on PvP without spending much real money.

Gw2 also have skill that require casting bar. It is called Chanel Skill.

What I mean by this is a feature that allow us to keep track of how much time left on one condition that applied to us without us moving the mouse to the condition to see it. It would be a number applied right on the condition icon itself, much like Cd on skill or on top of Condition. It would be very helpful when you can easily have like 5 differents conds on you at the same time.Any thought?

I think all continental would be able to duel in hotm as long as we are on the same region, Eu or NA.Say for example, I am in NA FOrt Aspenwood and you are NA Kaineng, we can stir meet up and duel in HOTM.Same for me as well

I think most of the complaint is not the ranger itself but the pet and the mechanic of the pet control. I honestly Ranger itself need to buff so, they don’t have to pick BM or Trap Ranger,and the pet mechanic need to be fixed.

I don’t have Skype , so what is your name in game, I will contact you. I know you dislike duelling but I want to test my skill simply. In group fight, you can not measure your skill due to too much factors involved.

I disagree. Eles is good for team because Anet design them as group support, not front line battle, so ofc the more Eles on the team, the better. The downside is you can not deal enough dams to finish the opponents off. So in the end, a team full of Eles will lose to a full Mesmer team due to just one mistake, Eles is dead. How is that Op? While Engine, thief, Mesmer, is a front line battle, of course you can have a full team of any of these class but it more like individual fight rather than team fight. Eles is group support while other are dam dealer. A balance bw group support and dam dealer is the best setup.Either case, I don’t see any OP in any class.

If you feel Eles is Op to you, you can choose bw ,y other toon, Ranger, Mesmer, Thief. I also have War and Necro but not pvp usually with them. I don’t have a team unfortunately. What you can do is I am sure there will be other player that don’t have a team. You can group us together, then we can sparred each other to see if we can manage well together. I have friends that are on leader board rank, I will ask if he can coach us. Also let me know time and date as well, weekend is best for us.

With Signet Build, yes but Condition will eat you alive due to low health and not be able to swap elements fast enough. You walk around with 100% up time protection,direct dam is no issue to u. Other than that, I don’t see any other viable way. This applied to PvP and WvW. In PvE, you can get away with it if you are skilled enough but you will still have trouble against boss in some Duns.

I’ve been trying this recently and using ether renewal I don’t have much problem with conditions. The problem is stuns/knockdowns/etc, would be really nice if they made a signet or two into stunbreakers, and maybe a glyph or two as well (the lack of stunbreakers/stability on other skills is a big reason most go 3 cantrip-water build in PvP).

Running a 20-0-10-30-10 signet aurashare staff build in WvW today to try it out. 100% protection uptime for groups should be interesting. Just gotta find a friendly guardian to shout “stand your ground!” at me constantly….

I’ve tried to make a 30 point fire build work, but giving up either healing or crit damage for a couple hundred power and some +5% damage traits always comes out feeling lackluster. Might is too easy to get, and staying in fire gimps overall performance too much (in WvW anyway, which is my prime game mode atm, since basically anything works in general PvE, and tPvP pretty much requires cookie cutter builds). The return per stat point is better for crit damage than power, so 30 air is better than 30 fire for straight up spike damage (and probably dps, unless you just live in fire attunement).

The problem with Erthernal Renewal is it is easy to be disrupted. And if use ER as your healing skill, you lose 25% of your signet power and healing power, since Signet of Restoration give you Double heal with this build. CC is fine means they will burst you after CC you. With 100% uptime protection and 30 pts in Earth plus Signet of Earth in Ult, you can easily get over 2k toughness. So burst is not that much of a problem. Conditions is what worry me when using this build. I can not win against HgH engine, Necro,or Long Bow warrior.

So you’re telling me eles can no longer burst down my hp to 20% RTL half way across the map to fully heal and repeat to CC the living heck out of me while doing both physical + condition damage with their 20 might stacks.
I would say 90% of the whiners are the ones that never actually make use of their combo fields and just smashed all the buttons to beat 5v1 while RTL away whenever they made a mistake 10x over.

Now you tell me he got away to reset the fight, meaning he is far enough to be out of combat. Would not that the same applied to you as well?Let assume he is able to burst you down to 20% of your health, which is like someone already stated when a certain conditions meets, he RtL away, reset the fight, you both heal to full, what different does it make? And if yours is made of paper, don’t expect to live long either.

Based on your post, you seems like a thief player, I can be wrong though. If he is far enough to fully heal, why not take that moment to stealth and relocation yourself bf he come back?He can not CC you unless he is in close range,so it is impossible to stop you from relocation yourself? If he is able to burst you that much means there is a big gaps bw your skill and hisAny good player will know he can not win in this battle.Only mindless player will chase without knowing they can not win. Then Why chase after him,let CC and get beaten, then QQ? Should you use your thinking a bit better?

Just my quick thinking, why not give all pets base stats (not as much as right not), plus the bonus base on percentage of the Ranger stats. That way, Berserker Ranger pet will hit hard and the Bunker Ranger pet will hit mediocre.

Don’t let it bother you much. The same happened to Eles, said it many times but the fact is QQ never stop QQ until things going their ways.

(ANet buffed SOME pets hp or toughness and the only big increase was drakes hp. Almost all the other pets got 2-3k hp increase only.
I think the biggest problem is that your pet chase the target half the map and it should be fixed.) (quoted) I play Eles, not Ranger, I have no pet except Elementals.

Ok. I see them all the time. I’m not sure what else to say. They rush in, draw an impressive amount of aggro, cause disruption for 10 seconds (more if the zergs are activelly slamming into each other), and then get out. Sometimes they fall but then they usually just Vapor Form to safety.

The only way to “Vapor Form to safety” requires a friendly keep next door. Otherwise you’re getting stomped.

And “cause disruption?” A few D/D Eles slamming into a zerg doesn’t really do much, the damage on skills from a bunker D/D is abysmally low, not to mention the 5 target cap, which is usually quickly healed via zerg group healing and barely noticed. Even worse for said Eles is if any of their targets are running with Retaliation.

I don’t know what tier you play in, but I have never seen an Ele stupid enough to even try to “zerg-bust” like that. Its guaranteed suicide, with an inevitable stomping.

The notion that the Ele is somehow causing a disruption is only valid if it actually distracts a zerg. I play on JQ, and in my experience a zerg will pound a D/D Ele into the dirt in relatively short order, kind of like driving over a speed bump. The only successful D/D Eles were roamers who would try and peel off a few from a zerg, or fight other roamers. ACTUAL zerg busting came in the form of Staff Eles and Necros.

I remember back in time when paid tournaments were still here that you won gems on second map +.
I want skins, more character slots and other features that are bought with gems.
Now is not more possible make gems with pvp and that is sad to me considered I do only pvp.

With most of player playing Asura not because of their advantage, but because of their culture, their looks,and their funny jokes,etc… If I don’t see people complain about Drwaft in WoW for being too hard to watch or whatever reason, I see no reason why Asura deserve that. Let be honest, Gw2 still have a long way to go Esport. And let be honest, it is not fair to force a player leave their favour race behind just because of some people find them hard to watch. It is like saying Black people can not enter a public place for white people just because they are black. Really, racist now starting invading in games as well??

To be honest the differences between the bunker ele (pre patch) and the bunker ranger are vast:

1, The bunker ele was more mobile and had more escape possibilities so it could run away when it became 3 on 1. The ranger dies.
2, The ranger gives up alot to be survivable/unkillable 1 on 1. It sucks in team fights. Lacks AOE. The ele gave up nothing for survivability. It was still a beast in team fights. A beast 1 on 1. Super mobile. And the best in team fights.

The BM ranger spec could maybe use some minor nerfs but this must be compensated with maybe some buffs to longbow or something.

Ranger might be slightly OP but its very minor if it even is OP. Doesnt deserve the QQ it gets imo.

The ability to run away means we already lose, in PvP, sure you lost 5 point for not being able to kill him but you win the point he is capping,means much more point. Ranger has more mobile than Eles though. Ranger can get access to Swiftness too and at the same time, has the skill similar to RtL which is Whoosh.Sure it can be affected by cripple,chill or whatever but besides Whoosh, you also have Leap from Sword 2 and 3, if used correctly, you can dodge forward. Not to mention with Pet ability too. Ranger can get away if he knows how.

Same with Rnger, Eles also gives up a lot to keep survive. Claiming Eles gives up nothing for survive is just an outright lie. But unlike Ranger, you have pet to do your binding with not really affected by your power scale.The reason why BM is good, not Op at the moment is because they can build as Bunker while their pet hit like a Warrior. Simply put, a fight with RAnger is a fight of 2 players, not one.

If in a proper PvP tourney, wasting all your time and resources just to take on 1 bunker is not a wise thing to do. My team usually ignore him and capture the other points. If he join the group fight, he hit like wet noodle,you can actually ignore him.if he is bunker one point, means the other 2 only have 4 people cap. With 5 players on your team can not take down the other 4, I don’t know what to say. But I agree the pet hit hard right now though. In Bunker Ranger, we simply can not ignore the pet at this point of the game. Anet sure buff Pet hard.

Because of those match making system that discourage people to join in PvP.I believe once fixed, we will see a boom in population.And also, did I mention those afk, leavers in tourney?They can get away for free with no punishing and those who keep playing will be the one being affected?Anet need to do something about it. The shortest,easiest and fastest way to do is only allowed pre made team to fight in tourney.So it encourage people to actively look for team and we will see more competitive fight with strategy other than random pugs do random things and random 4vs5 matches. I know it will b upset a lot of people but the change is for the better until they can figure out how to thing properly. After all tourney is where competitive play, not hot join.

I’m not saying it can’t happen, but i generally don’t know how it can work.. Have a 3rd q for small groups?

Easily fix by giving the opt to choose how many people’s allowed to play in tourney. Say,for ex 2vs2 or 3vs3. That ways, the match making can group premade teams less than 5 together and fight. I agree we should have bracket for each 10 lv though, so no more lv 1 duel with lv 40.

I guess people just not get used to the animation of Asura yet. They sure have different animation compare to all other class, we also have the options to zoom in and out ad well.Also when is the last time you guys check your visions?I wear glasses and see np with dueling Asura,I dont see any reason why others have problem with it?Asura race is part of the Gw2 story, so no you won’t see the race go extinct.

Staff is wonderful in PvE, Duns Run,WvW, not for Roamer, crap in 1v1 in PVP though but still good in group figh. I love Staff too but I think they only need to buff Staff in PvP aspect only. Staff in PvE pretty good at where they are now.

As long as Conquest Mode is our only choice of PvP, Guardian will forever be the best Bunker out there in PvP, no more no less.

I agree with most of the change except “Player not play in 10 days should see their rating change”. That will be a minus to casual player and Gw2 also include these players as well. Instead I would love to see the rank reset on monthly basic. Also a simple chart for every month would be a good way to see how skill we are each month pass. So we can compare our performance.

And why you want Gold when you can have everything in PvP setup? And skin can be bought by Glory too. The only ways I am concern is the Glory gives out as a reward is too little. Maybe a bit more would be good?

I hate asuras, they’re too small comparing them to the norns and charrs. Human should be the smallest size in pvp. Besides fact that asuras are not enjoyable to fight against, they’re not enjoyable to watch as well. Anet wants e-sports? Haha, i am sure that common viewer will just leave the tournament stream after 5mins when he will see 5 asuras vs 5 asuras, this is unpleasant to watch.

I totally agree with you. With a organized team, the rank means nothing. My teams consists of lv around 20 to 30 usually matched with a team lv around 40+ and we still win against them, hard win I admit.

I think it is being improved. Today out of 5 matches in touneys, four matches we go up against lv 40 teams, our team Lvs around 20. When u get to lv 20, or skill enough, ranks means nothing. You can be lv 1 yet as skill as lv 40. Skill,communicate and coordination is what matter,not rank.

The only thing I see it is viable is 20/0/30/10/10 signet Build.Other than that,I hardly see any other viable build but Bunker.Sure you can go 30 in Fire but considering effort risk and reward, it is not worth it. Eles sure may be can bursty but if you can stay long enough for the burst, that means nothing.

Bunker popular build with at least 20 pts in Water and 30 pts in Arcana, you are good to go even with pure Berserker gear which I am using ATM. I use the build up to Fotm lv 24 and once I did Fotm lv 40,I down a fair bit but that is because of Agony, I have 0 AR at that point.

Not at all.D/D deal more dams to single target in the short time but staff deal more dams to a group of enemy over the time. If u are in Na server, pm me,Kaane Moka, I would be more gladly to help u out.

The normal rotation is to start with Air : RtL + Updraft. Then switch to Fire: Burning Foot +Burning Grasp then lay down Ring of Fire. Then to earth : Dodge Roll in ROF for Might Stack, Earth quake for Might Stack then CE. Switch to Water for Heal when needed. That is our basic Rotation for Eles. But simply follow this won’t get you good against a good player. By playing Dueling a lot, you can immiliate some movement and know when to use them. All come with Experience. Staff is good in PVE/Duns Runs. I run mostly Staff for that. The same Build 0/10/0/30/30. I am using Pure Berserker Gear and my Auto Crit for 2k. Not high but decent. Same as witth D/D, u need to switch to attument depend on the situation, but for Staff, it is easierr and not as regular as D/D.

Yes. By going 30 in Water, what you get is “Staying Water give you generation” and “Water Switch remove one condition”. With “Cleansing Water”, anything that give u Regeneration will removes one Condition, so it does stack. Note: " in PVP, it has 5s ICD duel to last patch.
