Dev has responded there.
It appears to simply be a poorly worded tool-tip.
I’ve requested a re-wording of the tool-tip to more accurately relay the skill’s effects to the user.
The Antitoxin Spray skill only heals allies that have torment, confusion, poison, or toxic pollen and it heals per each condition it removes. If your ally has only poison, it will heal them a less than it would heal an ally with all conditions. If none of the allies around you have any conditions on them, it will not heal any allies. It’s base healing only applies to the user of the skill.
The tool-tip does not describe that conditional requirement in its current form and seems very misleading and incomplete.
Autumn, would you please place this item in your tracker for a rewording of the tool-tip to specify this requirement? Personally, I feel Adjusted #2 most accurately and clearly relays the skill’s function to the user.

Just so you know, I’m keeping my eye on this thread. Internally, we’ve been completely unable to reproduce this issue. Having said that, it can be difficult, if not impossible, to account for all the variables with a Live game. Things to check would be whether you accidentally deleted the transcriber, or if you’re trying to complete the achievement on a character that doesn’t have the transcriber in their inventory? Just because we aren’t seeing it in our own testing, doesn’t mean it’s not happening.
I can’t claim infallibility here, so I’m taking claims about this being a bug with a very open mind. If you all think of anything else, even small details about what you may have done or seen when transcribing, please post it here. Thanks!
Just to make sure, have those doing the internal testing for reproduction also attempted to reproduce it via the reported commonality by those affected of being interrupted by an enemy while translating the obelisk (thus not finishing the translation), killing the enemy, and then returning to and translating the obelisk again to see if it advances the achievement properly?

As well as the alternate form of that test as acidicore mentioned above me of allowing the transcription to complete after being placed in combat during the transcription, instead of canceling it and getting out of combat and then completing the transcription.

Hi there! Ive been having trading post issues since yesterday after I downloaded the October 29th patch. I found this post and gave what Stin suggested a try. Sadly, it didnt help at all. Your issue sounds like it requires your local.dat settings file to be deleted and re-created (2MB download upon starting the launcher).
Unfortunately, deleting this file will also cause you to lose your saved game settings (graphics, stored login data, etc.) but may fix the problem. So if you rely on your stored login info to log in, make sure you can recall what your login info is as the stored login info is also cleared.
The quickest way to do this is to:

In your game’s (or game shortcut’s) “Properties” > “Compatibility” tab, do you have the “Compatibility” (run this program in compatibility mode for:) check box enabled and something selected?

Also, if you think your Gw2.exe file is corrupt and cannot be repaired, instead of un-installing and re-installing to get a new executable (and re-downloading 16 gigs or so again), this is an old version of my Gw2.exe from September 17th. If you want to download it and see if it will execute properly and then update to the latest version, then this may be a method to resolving the issue. Or it might not help, but may be worth a try.

I’ll look to upload the current Gw2.exe from this new patch and update this with the DL link to it if you want, but this old one should execute and update fine if it is, indeed, an issue with that file being damaged and unable to execute or be repaired.
Also, after your issue is resolved, you may want to make a backup of your GW2 files someplace else on your hard drive so you do not need to re-download the whole game in the future after an un-install or if a file gets damaged and needs to be replaced.

It’s possible that might help. I’ve been looking around the net since yesterday to see if I can find anything out that might help Nymru, but haven’t turned up anything yet.
I’m glad you were able to find the cache folder and delete it. I was a bit confused and was looking for other reasons for it not existing.
Having to clear the GW2 cache to fix TP problems is actually a common issue. I hope it does not happen for you again, though now you know what to do if it does. If you have any more problems don’t hesitate to ask again.

Check that you are not using Invisible Bags or Safe Boxes to store these items as these bags intentionally shield items from being included in bag compact, deposit collectibles, sell list at vendor, right-click sell at trading post, and from being listed in the sell tab on the trading post.
The whole string of letters and numbers part of the temporary folder is not the same for everyone, but the “gw2cache-{bunch-of-letters-and-numbers}” folder should exist at that location. I edited my above post to simply state letters and numbers instead of showing exact letters and numbers.

Most TP issues (this one included) are related to some temporary GW2 files where removing them will allow them to be recreated and the TP to function properly again.

By “window menus” I mean up at the top of the window where it says “File Edit View Tools Help”. If that bar does not display in your window for you along the top, then click the drop-down arrow next to the word “Organize” and then click on “Layout” and select “Menu bar” to enable showing of the menus (attached image #2).

I would welcome this finisher option being available across all enemy types in PvE. If we want to use a finisher on an enemy and take them out with a bit of flare, we can. If we want to just shoot them or beat them to death with our weapons, we can. It adds a bit more of a fun dynamic to killing creatures in the open world to break up the monotonous and sometimes boring nature of combat in open world PvE.
You should instead report this issue in the Issues with character art, weapons, or armor sticky thread that is dedicated for this type of bug.

No. The issue is overlapping functions being called when any key bind is a MOUSE button along with CTRL, SHIFT. Although I stated my heal was overlapping my elite is too since it is also a MOUSE button along with CTRL.
I rebound the same things to SHIFT + MOUSE and still had the same issue. It appears it is related to MOUSE binds as CTRL + a key (example 2) works correctly without overlapping on the 2.
Sorry, I totally misunderstood the issue as I skimmed through.

Rolled back GPU drivers and it fixed the issue.
Cancel that. The problem was that I had moved the Guild Wars 2 directory from /Program Files(x86) to C:\ for use with enb. I had to move it back to get it to patch. Should be able to move it back to C:\ til next patch though. Just updating in case others are having issues.
You should be able to keep your installation at C:\ instead of in Program Files and it still be able to update normally as long as you make sure that you have the Gw2.exe file or the game shortcut you use to run the game set to ‘Run As Administrator’ in its Properties > Compatibility tab.

This response is unrelated to the other issue of Sylvari eyes suddenly being jet black to near jet black.
In your ‘Documents/Guild Wars 2’ folder is a file called ArenaNet.log
This file will contain crash information.
If this update has been intentionally downplayed with almost no info at all and the livestream then being canceled, and I patch-up later and log in to find Largos or Krait as a new playable race…I will literally crap my pants.
The dark colored Braham’s armor one looks like it’s kind of going for John Travolta in Battlefield Earth. Not bad (that skirt first made me think of Pyramid Head for some reason)
The Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze outfit does look nice as well.
Maybe build up both of them and use one for day time and the other for night time.

The thread creator’s OP was responded to by a dev in which the thread creator was asked a question by said dev. As the thread creator has since responded to that dev’s question, I believe they will receive a response on the matter from that dev during regular business hours tomorrow when they return to the office. It is likely that the dev will then state that they will look into the viability of implementing the changes to the ignore/block function requested by the thread creator, consider the request made by the thread creator to have been met, and they will then close the thread if there is nothing further for the dev and the thread creator to discuss.

For clarity, you must use your Hall of Monuments Portal Stone to travel to the Hall of Monuments. Once there, you do not talk to Artificer Mullenix for your rewards, you must go straight ahead all the way to the scrying pool where Kimmes the Historian awaits to offer you your earned rewards.

Odd, my ‘My Account’ page is working fine. I wonder if the no whisper/guild chat is connected in any way to the Security page not working.
I’m not sure. I cannot view the Security page while logged into the launcher or game. Close the launcher and the page immediately loads fine. My Security page does not have any information listed under the permitted IP address section and I do not currently, nor have I ever, experienced the no whisper/guild chat (and processing previous mail) issue (knock on wood).
Avilo, I’m sorry to have to say that I am completely out of ideas right now of things to try to authorize her new IP. I really hope someone else has some ideas or Support is able to help.

Block should actually block the person and restrict all possible contact with this person until the block is removed. Or have it as an option to where you can select to only block chat related activities made by this player, or choose the full block that prevents all possible contact (LFG, etc).

Or click the mouse scroll wheel button on the link to get it to open in a new page?
I’m not sure, but perhaps it is related to the web browser being used, or the website she accesses her mail through not permitting links in emails to be clicked.
If trying a different browser doesn’t help:
I really don’t know if this method is permitted, or if I’ll be infracted for even suggesting it, but if she were to forward the authorization email to you (as long as it doesn’t contain sensitive information) and you then see if your browser and email service allows you to be able to click the authorize link within the email for her (if you are able to click it), then this might be a way around the issue.

If so, have her close the client completely that she is trying to login with and then clicking on the link in the email.
I mentioned in my reply to Jayne about getting this page with the error if I tried to view the Security page while also being logged into the launcher.
I really hope this helps. I’ve not seen this type of issue before with authorizing a new IP.

You have to authorize any new ip to an account. An email would have been sent to the email attached to the account with a link to authorize access. Click that link to gain access.
Edited to add: stinvic, in my account area ip usage used to work, but has been blank for at least a couple months now, not even showing my ip.
Thanks, Jayne. I haven’t had to permit a new IP for several months so I was not aware of that page as having functionality issues. I just checked and it is completely borked for me as well. It seems that it comes up with a page style coding issue if you are actually logged into the game from your current IP when you visit that page.

This issue is normally associated with the bug of ghosts (as well as mesmer phantasms) losing all ghostliness when the “Character Model Detail” slider in the graphics options is set to ‘Lowest’ or ‘Low’. Setting this option to ‘Medium’ or higher normally re-ghostifies ghosts.
Some have also reported having to increase the ‘Character Model Limit’ slider to ‘Medium’ or higher in addition to increasing the ‘Character Model Detail’ slider, though this additional change does not seem to be logical and may not have merit due to the ‘Character Model Limit’ slider not affecting the details of displayed models, just the amount of displayed models.

Have you also tried altering these audio settings to see if the crashing persists?
Also, what is your sound device in your computer?
Is it integrated on the motherboard or are you using an added, dedicated sound card?

Higher file size may be related to having additional/alternate language packs downloaded.
Also, Orochimaru, it would be a very good idea for you to make a backup copy of your Gw2.dat file (and other gw2 files) elsewhere on your computer after you have finished updating. In the event you need to reinstall the game, having to re-download it all over again is highly undesirable.

Regarding the bug you’re reporting, it has been mentioned several times but it has not actually been acknowledged by a dev yet. Not sure if a fix is planned or when such a fix would go in just yet, unfortunately.
