Attempt the steps I outlined in hircane’s thread and see if it fixes the problems you are having.
Very, very happy to have helped, hircane!
Happy gaming.
It sounds like the game files cannot be updated with the new patch due to the files being ‘Read Only’ or the game not being run as an administrator.
Try to:
Then: Check the game for errors and repair it
As always, it is best to copy your Guild Wars 2 installation to another location on your drive as a backup for just this type of situation so you won’t need to re-download the whole game again to perform a re-install or to fix a damaged install.

Not a problem. Don’t feel dumb, we all overlook or forget some things. All that matters is that you can sell things properly now. Any other problems or questions do not hesitate to ask! Always glad to help out.
Happy gaming
It seems that you are using your left mouse button to click on the skill to activate it instead of pressing the associated bound key for the skill.
You’re right, activating the skill via left click will lock the cursor and camera and the aoe spell is unable to be positioned properly.
It’s best to hold the bound activation key for the aoe spell and release the bound key to fire it at the target area.
I feel that the cursor being locked upon left click-holding on the skill box actually is a bug, as the cursor should still be able to move to the desired position for deployment.
Until this is fixed you should instead use the bound skill key for holding, positioning and releasing for deployment of aoe spells.
You should include all information you have on this exploitable method in an email and send it to exploits@arena.net for it to be looked at and corrected. I’m sure they would really appreciate your informing them of the issue via that method as things can get lost on the forums and not get the attention they deserve due to the volume of threads created each day.
OK.
Then by “can’t sell much of anything” do you mean that you receive an error message when you attempt to sell items on the trading post with your warrior?
Can you go into more detail on what you mean by not being able to sell items on your warrior?
Also, would you mind including the names of the inventory bags your warrior is using?
After adding or changing a signature it can take a little while for it to update on comments you’ve already posted. But if you go to your Recent Posts section of your profile, you should see your updated signature on the posts listed there, though it may take some time for the posts displayed in the actual threads to update.
You can also force the changes onto your recent posts by editing a post and saving it again for that post to be updated immediately.
Otherwise, if you edit your profile and save the changes, you can sometimes force it to update quicker by editing your signature again, making no changes and hitting save again.
However, if you are making changes to your signature and the changes are saved but not apparent on your posts in your comment history, then you may need to force a refresh of the page as it has been updated but you are not seeing the latest version of the page. Holding CTRL and hitting F5 will force a refresh of the page and not use cached elements so it displays the current state of the page, not a cached version.
Happy to help. I hope it can be fixed quickly.
First, make sure GW2 is not running in task manager.
You should email ArenaNet directly and include all possible information on the exploit so it can be fixed.
The email address is: exploits@arena.net
Otherwise, you can also file a support ticket (selecting Ask A Question in the top middle) and include all possible information on the exploit.
First: Check the game for errors and repair it
If that did not fix the problem then: Delete the local.dat file
If the above solution did not fix the problem then there is a file that must be deleted that may fix the problem. This one will cause you to lose your saved game settings so try the above solution first so you do not have to needlessly reconfigure your settings.

By “window menus” I mean up at the top of the window where it says “File Edit View Tools Help”. If that bar does not display in your window for you along the top, then click the drop-down arrow next to the word “Organize” and then click on “Layout” and select “Menu bar” to enable showing of the menus (attached image #2).
Another way to do Steps 3, 4 and 5 to make hidden folders visible is:
If the items you are trying to sell on the warrior reside in an invisible bag, then the option to ‘Sell At Trading Post’ will not appear in its right-click options, and the items will also not be listed in the ‘Sell On trading Post’ tab of the Trading Post.
Move the items to a non-invisible bag to sell the items.
There are a couple ways to reset the game window to your primary monitor:
After logging into the launcher and clicking play, the GW2 window should be returned to the default window position of the uppermost left corner of your active monitor.
Another way should be, while the game is open, hold your Window’s Key + SHIFT and press Left/Right to move the program between available monitors.
They have been reported before, though the escorts are slow to move along to other duties.
Pulled from my Tracker – Living World/Game Update Bugs thread.
What driver version are you using on your GPU?
You mentioned your drivers are up to date, but had you recently updated them?
Did you clean off your old drivers before updating to the newest?
Are you running the AMD Beta Driver set?
This subsample textures issue has come up several times before with AMD drivers on that series of GPU.
The short answer is to clean your existing drivers off and then install the latest ‘Official’ drivers and not Beta drivers.

Most TP issues are related to some temporary GW2 files where removing them will allow them to be recreated and the TP to function properly again.

Purchasing another copy of Guild Wars 2 would open up your desired additional 64 character slots.
The OP posted this same thread into Tech Support and their problem was resolved there. Repairing their client fixed the issue.
Make sure you don’t have a sigil on both your MH and Offhand weapon, because if you do, it won’t work for some reason.
I had a sigil on both my shield and sword on my guardian, and when I’d swap to Sword/focus, I’d get endurance recharge, but when I swapped back to sword/shield, I wouldn’t.
Was kind of frustrating when trying to duo lupi and I didn’t get the energy procs, which resulted in me dying, until I figured out the problem.
There is a 9 second cooldown on the Sigil of Energy. ‘On-swap’ effects and all on-swap sigils share this cooldown. You can run dual on-swap sigils, but your second sigil won’t proc if 9 seconds have not elapsed between swaps.
Check the game for errors and repair it

Have you logged out/closed your game since this occurred? There have been issues in the past with other items to where they seemingly disappeared while transferring them to your bags. Others reported the transfer as kind of being lagged, that they didn’t show up in the inventory until after closing and re-opening their game and logging back into that character.
Not duping. Theres like 5 people that have about 400k gold of combined funds and they have been raising the prices of precursors since Queens gauntlet. My friend knows them
I believe the thread is not about the Sell Order Listings going higher in price, it was of the Buy Order Listings dropping in volume and price over night, as if a mess of them had suddenly been filled.
Over night, Buy orders dropped in volume on many precursors, Dusk went from 755g down to 475g, as if someone just sold a whole mess of Dusk to the highest Buy Orders to get the gold for them while they could. The OP was making the supposition that someone seemed to have come into a large supply of Dusk (and other precursors), possibly via some duplication method, and was selling them off as quick as they could to Buy Orders to cash in on them.
Dusk
Dawn
Spark
The Legend
The Hunter
View by 1 Day Zoom (occurred late October 12th to early on the 13th)
At the exact same time all Buy Orders dropped in volume and amount.

Charr Leggings Waist Node Tugged Down
Gender: Female and Male
Species: Charr
Items:
Description:
At the waist it appears a node has been tugged down which opens up a large see-through area.
Many have encountered this and reported it before. I agree, it would be nice to have this bug/error/limitation or whatever it is fixed/removed.
I think you have to back up a step and then proceed forward again to the naming stage for it to finally accept your desired name without giving that error message.
I have that bug listed in my Tracker – Living World/Game Update Bugs thread. It has not received a response yet.
Ah, so there was a non-normal english character in the name.
A circumflex.
Copy this character: â
When entering your name in for deletion hold your CTRL button and press V
This will paste this character into the character name entry text box.
You should then be able to delete it as you would be entering the name in exactly as it is spelled.
Otherwise, holding your ALT key and typing 0226 and releasing the ALT key will type out the â letter.
(edited by StinVec.3621)
Nice catch, Hamfast. That does seem like a very likely possibility.
Have either of you tried to close your game and re-launch it to see if you could then delete the character?
I just tested if I could delete a character and it was not bugged for me.
Would you be willing to mention the name of the character you are trying to delete to see if there is something special about the name?
Or include a screenshot of the name typed into the deletion field and the ‘Delete’ button remaining grayed out.
(if you are worried about someone else taking the name after it is deleted, names are reserved to your account for 24 hours after the character is deleted, so no need to be concerned with that)
Female Norn Arm Deflates During Drawn Rifle Idle Animation
Gender: Female
Species: Norn
Item: Any Rifle
Description:
On a female Norn, during the idle animation with any rifle drawn the upper arm deflates and then inflates.
Very nice. So it is only with the rifle and during the idle animation with it drawn.
I made a new Norn and tested it and saw the issue first hand. I’ll record a video of it shortly and attach it for others and devs to see, though your method of reproduction is very quick and easy to do if others want to see first hand as well.
edit
Added video. Also going to post it to the Issues with character art, weapons, or armor thread.

It’s difficult to assist without knowing the exact error code included in the error message or having the ArenaNet.log file (from “Documents\Guild Wars 2”) attached to see details of the error and what might be causing the issue.
As this seems to be a recurring issue, perhaps it is actually related to something local to your computer.
Even without that information here are some things that may help resolve the issue:
Check your drive for errors
After checking the drive for errors you should run a single execution of the Guild Wars Repair Tool.
If no errors were found in either the drive or the game files, try deleting the local.dat file and see if you can then load into the stuck character.
—note—
By “window menus” I mean up at the top of the window where it says “File Edit View Tools Help”. If that bar does not display in your window for you along the top, then click the drop-down arrow next to the word “Organize” and then click on “Layout” and select “Menu bar” to enable showing of the menus (attached image #2).
Another way to do Steps 3, 4 and 5 to make hidden folders visible is:
On your pistols, do you have the sigil on the main hand pistol or the off-hand pistol? If you have it on your off-hand pistol try switching the pistols so the one with the sigil is in the main hand slot and try again.
There are a few things I’d like you to try to see if it solves the problem before jumping to the more involved testing. I’d much rather find that one of these more simple checks solves it instead of the potential culprit being a faulty RAM stick after later tests.
First: Check the game for errors and repair it
Hey Paul.
You’re not the only one to experience this. I recently went to the Harathi Hinterlands to test this out on several Tamini camps where there was also a Veteran nearby (as well as in Queensdale) and the same thing happened to me:
Now, being downed with a few standard enemies attacking me is fine, but having my target auto-switch to a nearby, non-aggressive, full health Veteran who I then promptly attack and who then joins in on kicking me while I’m down…not fun.
I’m adding this bug to my Tracker – Living World/Game Update Bugs thread. I hope this will receive some attention. Perhaps this behavior will no longer occur after the October 15th patch…I hope.
The post I linked has Gaile instructing another player with a stuck character to file a support ticket as that is the only way to resolve the issue of a character being stuck and unable to be logged into.
Did they mention anything in your support ticket about it not being something they can resolve, and that it is actually a local hardware or software issue on your end?
If this is actually a hardware or software issue, then I suppose this should be moved to the Tech Support forum. (moderator, would you please?)
I can only think that they determined that it was actually related to a graphics driver issue, a damaged client issue, or something else.
Well, let’s start off with info gathering:
When was the last time your modem was reset or rebooted?
To reset, unplug your modem for 30-60 seconds and then plug it back in and see if you experience the problem again.
Also, it’s recommended that every PC user perform this reset (or at least a power off/on reboot) of their modems at least once a week.
By “asked support”, do you mean in the Tech Support Forum, the Account Issues Forum or through the Support Ticket system?
The “stuck character” issue is one of a few issues that only Support can resolve.

Thanks you, StinVec. Just took a look at your (awesome) thread, and I guess you could be right, this could be the same thing as the reported eyes bulging issue.
Just one thing that is odd, I am 99.9% certain that the issue is very recent, i.e. was not present a week ago. On the other hand, I could not find any screenshots I made recently that would confirm my suspicion, so I could be wrong.
Thanks for the compliment!
Ah. I’ve only really seen people reporting the eye bulge issue for human females before your report. Perhaps the eye bulge issue is limited to just human females (though I think I see a bit of the eye issue in your avatar comparison) and the most recent patch or a hotfix introduced the bug for Asuran characters’ mouths now as well.
I’ve updated it to specify this additional detail.

A couple questions for you:
17.6 GB would take a while to download. Done this before when I had a issue with my RAM and had to reload the whole game. No fun!
Thanks again, bye
Sorry to hear about the re-download in the past. If you have room on your hard drive, it would be a good idea to copy your installation directory to another folder as a backup so you can just copy it over in the future instead of having to re-download the whole game.
But regarding the local.dat file, this is only about 20MB and is mostly a settings storage file, not the Gw2.dat file which is the heart of the game and in the installation folder.
I hope you have no issues in the future
Take care.
Just so you know that it isn’t just you experiencing this issue, others have been reporting it as well since the end of July to the beginning of August when it was introduced with a game update. No word yet on their being aware of the issue or of when it will be resolved.
Also adding it to my Tracker – Living World/Game Update Bugs thread.
(edited by StinVec.3621)
Awesome!
Glad you didn’t have to do the local.dat deletion method.
Happy gaming
It sounds like the game isn’t able to extract/run the files needed to access the TP.
Does this solve the problem or was “Run As Administrator” already checked/enabled?
If the above solution did not fix the problem then there is another file that must be deleted. This one will cause you to lose your saved game/graphic settings so try the above solution first so you do not have to needlessly reconfigure your settings.

A quick band-aid that will ignore the problem, but usually lets you play without experiencing the issue, is to run in Windowed Fullscreen mode.
If you prefer Fullscreen mode to Windowed Fullscreen and would like to actually solve the issue, then there are many things that could be causing it.
