~They’re coming to get you penelope~
Just to note, especially if the actual necroer’s posts get removed, that Penelope was not the necroer – Penelope was the notifier to other readers that the previous poster necroed the thread.
Oh, that’s a great tip. That is likely the quickest and easiest way to correct the situation as 10k karma is practically nothing. Gin, may want to take skyhawk’s option vs going through support to get the recipe on the right character.
You could try to contact customer support through the “Support” link at the top of the page > “Submit a request” link at the top right of that page, and then explain the situation. Perhaps they will be able to help you get the recipe onto your weaponsmith character.
I do not afk-farm, but I am interested in the end result of this discussion and how it might indirectly affect me. This statement is one that seems might affect me and alter my play.
If using auto-cast while AFK is unattended gameplay and not permitted, does this mean that, if I have to hit the bathroom and I am not sure if I’m in a safe spot, that I can no longer switch my heal skill to auto (to attempt to negate any damage I’d receive from random enemies attacking me while afk) and head off to the bathroom?
Technically, even though I’d only be gone a couple of minutes at most, I would have a heal skill on auto-cast and I’d be afk…which would fit your statement as being unattended gameplay.
I guess I’ll just choose to log to character select from now on and lose my accumulated bloodlust stacks instead of risking being sanctioned simply because I stayed logged in and flipped heal to auto while I used the facilities. Better safe than sorry.
Thank you, Michael and Chris, for your responses and clarification on this topic.
If there’s a nearby waypoint that doesn’t spawn mobs/events around it, port there and you should be fine… that way you can keep your stacks.
~EW
Thanks for that tip. I rarely use waypoints for personal enjoyment reasons, so I had not previously considered that as an option. Their generally being safe areas would be a good alternative to logging and losing the stacks. I may do this instead. Thanks again.
Surely using auto-cast while AFK is unattended gameplay ????
Yes. I’ve shot a mean glance his way.
But again: “Pet Kills & Macro Looting Excepted”
Chris-post incoming…

I may be wrong, but this may be related to the 64-bit client now being automatically downloaded and used instead of the 32-bit client (if it ‘detects’ that it should be).
Previously, when I would switch the client bit version from using the 32 to using the 64beta, several personal settings would get lost, such as the inventory size and position. I needed to resize and position it (as well as correct several other settings) every time I switched client bit version.
Your size/position settings should be remembered and work properly and persist after you set them and restart the game.
One may wonder why I was switching back and forth between bit versions – system stability and functionality tests (memory usage/temps/graphics/different ReShade versions and settings). I had decided to stick with the 32bit in the end. I’m really not thrilled that they are now forcing the 64bit client. Of all the stuff that has nearly made me walk away, this may be the last one that actually does it unless I can find a way to force the 32bit exe to be used.

I have a character that I’m deleting with a name that I will not be reusing. It’s likely not a name that others have wanted and found to be in use already, but just giving a heads up for other mesmers that may want it for a new chronomancer that it’ll be available.
The name is: “Temporal Aberration”
Again, I know it is not some super creative name that everyone badly wants, but perhaps it will be desired by someone on these forums for a chronomancer, which is why I am making this thread in this sub-forum and not another.
For those that may want it, I’m tabbing over and finalizing the deletion of the character immediately after hitting submit on this thread, so I guess in exactly 24 hours the name will be released from my account for anyone else to use.
Again, just a PSA or FYI or whatever for those that might want it.
I haven’t seen any Nevermores or HOPEs yet. They seem kinda rare.
Really? I seem to come across at least one person with Nevermore everywhere I go in-game.
Nope. I haven’t seen any yet.
It may be about location. I’ve not seen one ‘in the wild’ yet, but I don’t really go too many places anymore other than on the Havoc’s Heir airship. Every time I am on there I see at least six or so different people inside of an hour who have one, sometimes more.
I completely agree. As one who has designed many maps, worlds and ‘levels’, I do not understand how it could happen in the first place when it was made, let alone it never being corrected after it was brought to their attention (I’m sure I am not the only one to bug it over these years).
I hope your thread on it does finally get it fixed, if for no other reason than pride in one’s work or in the gorgeous world they’ve crafted. I really do.
If I hadn’t lost much of my interest in and respect for the lore due to [many reasons], I would say that it should be fixed out of respect for the missing god. Actually, back at launch when I reported it, I may have even worded it as being an insult for him to be forgotten and left off.
The giant clockwork statues at the Queen’s Pavilion – one has its entire left arm inside of the wall. It’s a giant statue and its arm is in the wall…I do not know how that could have been missed when that small area was redesigned and that model placed there. A slight adjustment to the model’s pose to bring its arm out of the wall or a slight rotation to the model is all that is needed to get it out of the wall. I saw that in my first 5 seconds into that area back when that ‘festival’ first happened and had immediately ‘bugged’ it as well – it’s still in the wall.
I noticed this a long, long time ago.
I submitted it as an environment bug.
It has never been corrected. :\
__
I’ve also submitted many others like it, and even some where the ground is missing or where the end of a bridge is floating above the ground where it should connect. All of these other ones I’ve reported have never been corrected either. :\
My view on this is, as they obviously do not care, I will not either as it seems to be just a waste of time reporting them. This is why I’ve stopped reporting these type of environmental/structural bugs/oversights until at least one that I’ve already reported over the last few years is corrected.
I realize that this specific one would likely entail a few minutes of work to correct, but I am disappointed that other, far simpler ones are not corrected when it would take nothing more than a few seconds to simply tug the node of the terrain a touch to close the opening.
As an example, check out: Caledon Forest > Kraitbane Haven Waypoint [&BEABAAA=] (Treemarch Estuary) > East a touch at the end of the second bridge
Yes, it is a very, very minor one. However, even the bigger ones I’ve submitted have not been corrected. So it doesn’t seem to matter if it is a bigger one or a quick and easy one that only takes a couple of seconds to fix, they are not being corrected.
Oh well. Maybe someday.
:\ Quite disappointing.
Regardless of how I feel about what has been stated, thank you for your effort and communication on this topic, my dear Gaile.
We accidentally shipped a MF change that has some rare items like Halloween skins in the tables. So this is WAI just earlier than expected
just wondering, is it going to stay like this? I’d like to try my hand at getting ghastly grinning shield and chain sword/destroyer scythe
Just to note, if you mean the Chain-Whip Sword, that is a Gem Store only item so I highly doubt that is included in the new mystic forge rare skin/item drop tables.
Regarding the rest of your question, my impression of these items persisting in the drop table is that it is likely a permanent addition. However, I expect these newly added items are likely to vary over time, such as other item sets being added and some currently added items being removed – similar to the black lion weapon skins rotating in and out of BL chests and certain sets being available or not available at the BL merchant. May be wrong, but that is my impression of how they seem to have implemented this behavior of such rare items being in the drop table.
You are not alone.
I saw many players request for the slot to be movable when it was first offered as I/they felt that where ANet decided to add the slot causes chaos to their sorted inventories. Because of this, many desired (and expressed this desire) to be able to move it/them to the bottom so they didn’t need to re-sort the entire inventory on every character again.
I know some that did not purchase this slot simply because they didn’t want to have to re-organize the inventories of 20-60 characters. I had to go through this for my 23ish characters when the slot first released and I purchased a couple of them. I hated wasting hours re-organizing everything on them just because it could not be hidden or relocated.
With ANet having opted to not heed the expressed desire of many players and to put in the effort to make it movable, they’ve now decided, months later, to force it on anyone who happened to have purchased HoT. It was a real nice gift, no disagreement there. Unfortunately the negative side of this gift is unwelcome by many and it cannot be ‘returned’.
I’ve escaped having to re-sort 23 character inventories once again with this gift due to my not owning HoT. Knowing that this gift awaits me if I were to purchase HoT, and that I would then need to re-sort my current 23 inventories once again upon purchasing it, is actually adding to my reasons to not purchase it.
Sadly, I know one player who does have HoT who has now quit the game for the time being due to this gift being forced onto them and ruining the sorted inventories of their 60 characters. They intentionally didn’t buy it from the gem store because it would do just that. Now, because ANet did not take the time to make it movable (as previously requested by many) before forcing this slot onto them, they would rather quit playing altogether than spend hours upon hours doing nothing but re-sorting 60 inventories due to everything being shifted over 1 single slot.
It is quite a disappointing situation, one that I hope will be resolved sooner rather than later by their putting in the time to offer this option to allow the slot(s) to be hidden/movable/disconnected from other bags in compact view.
I was pleasantly surprised by the patch notes.
As a person who absolutely loves reading every single character in patch notes, those long and detailed notes were a dream!
Thank you, ANet, for those lovely notes! I hope all future updates are as detailed and inclusive of changes implemented by the update they are for.
As for what those gorgeous notes detailed:
Practically the entirety of the patch notes were related to things that do not affect my playstyle or alter areas of the game that I take part. However, a lot of the update seems well-received and offered positive changes for areas of the game for other players, so that’s awesome. Though due to my not really taking part in those areas of gameplay, I have no personal opinion on them.
The only changes that really affect me would be the slight adjustments to some skills for some professions, but even those changes were not really a big deal or ‘game-changing’. Though I must admit I like the ranger sword skill no longer being animation-locked…but I rarely use that as my primary weapon on my rangers.
The Effect Quality option is nice, but it does not revert all changed skills to their former, fully graphic state and only reverts the Elementalist Fireball. It is nice to finally get that back, but what about all of the other changed skill effects that were diminished that are not reverted to their previous appearance? Seems to be barely implemented at all. Maybe down the road everything else will get included and reverted to their former glory as well, which I look forward to reading about their inclusion in some future, highly-detailed patch notes.
I have to say, in the long run, its really whichever class you enjoy most vs least. I LOVED my mesmer, never had an issue with leveling him. Hated my guardian, I only leveled him to have one of each class, and it was teeth grating.
Oh, thanks for reminding me! I forgot guardian even was a profession because I disliked it so much. I never even consider playing my midway-leveled one, let alone making another one. Heh. Oops.
My opinion: Engineer is the one I find most frustrating to level (or even to play at all).
Ironically engineer is my absolute favorite and I find it a ton of fun to level with. But based on the results probably going to use the boost on a mesmer.
:D A friend of mine loved his engineer and really only ever played that profession. He would constantly mess with me and tell me how awesome it is. I tried to like it, I really did, I just can’t. I end up doing nothing but using the flamethrower kit at all times. I’ll give it another shot though and try to level one using everything but a flamethrower.
That’s cool that you choose mesmer to use it on, but I do recommend giving mesmer a try for a few levels before using it on it as you may find you actually enjoy combat with it. And if you don’t after a few levels and find you hate how mesmer plays, use it then.
(edited by StinVec.3621)
Leveling mesmers seems to take the longest to level from 1-80 in my experiences. However, I enjoy combat with that profession so it wasn’t really a frustrating journey to max level…it just took a bit longer than others for me.
However, with the engineer, despite my opinion that it technically levels faster than mesmer, combat with it is mind-numbingly boring to me and not all that fun (again, to me). So, as I dislike combat with the engineer, despite my opinion being that it technically levels up quicker than mesmer, I was more aware of time passing between those levels due to it not really being all that fun to me. Because of this, it actually seemed to take longer to level than mesmer and was not nearly as enjoyable as the journey with a mesmer.
My opinion: Engineer is the one I find most frustrating to level (or even to play at all).
I recommend playing each profession for a few levels and see which one you personally find unenjoyable and then use the item for that profession.
However, I’d urge you to reconsider using it on a profession you may not enjoy combat with and instead save it in the event you want to make another of a profession you do enjoy combat with, but perhaps of a different species or gender.

The same situation has come up with some other items in the past where existing versions retain their previous status while only new versions have the altered status.
As you mentioned that the new tradeable one is the same item ID, one way to fix the old item is, if it is a stackable item, acquire one of the new items and stack the old account bound one with it. Doing this will convert the old one to the status of the new one. I think these energy crystals are stackable, so you may look to give that a try if they’re not too costly.
I selected “Neutral” as almost the entirety of the patch notes were related to things that do not affect my playstyle or alter areas of the game that I take part.
A lot of the update seems well-received and offered positive changes for areas of the game for other players, but I do take part in those areas so I have no personal opinion on them. For how I play and the areas of the game that I enjoy playing, the game is essentially no different after the patch from how it was before.
The only changes that really affect me would be the slight adjustments to some skills for some professions, but even those changes were not really a big deal or ‘game-changing’. Though I must admit I like the ranger sword skill no longer being animation-locked…but I rarely use that as my primary weapon on my rangers.

Of course, my opinion would be rock bottom for this patch if I owned HoT due to the free inventory slot being forced onto me.
Players had begged for the slot to be movable since it was first offered as where ANet decided to add the slot causes all kinds of chaos to sorted inventories. Because of this, many desired (and expressed this desire) to be able to move them to the bottom so they didn’t need to re-sort the entire inventory on every character again.

I had to go through this for my 23ish characters when the slot first released and I purchased a couple of them and hated wasting hours re-organizing everything on them.
So what does ANet do? They don’t make it movable and now, months later, force it on anyone who happened to have purchased HoT.
I know one player who has now quit the game as of today due to this patch forcing that slot on them and ruining the sorted inventories of 60 characters. They intentionally didn’t buy it because it would do just that. Now, because ANet couldn’t be bothered to make it movable before forcing this slot on them, they would rather quit playing altogether than spend hours upon hours doing nothing but re-sorting 60 inventories due to everything being shifted over 1 single slot.

Ah, gotcha. Will scrap the first part of my comment then. Apologies for my misunderstanding. That seems to be a pretty bad bug that I hope they can fix quickly.
-edited-
Misunderstood the bug being reported. Sorry.
So the issue is that, after activating the skill and thus putting it on cooldown and disabling the passive effect, once it is no longer on cooldown the passive effect does not re-enable itself. It takes swapping the signet out and back again to get the passive effect to re-activate.

Why have I not you built a Legendary Weapon?
I googled “Guild Wars 2 font” and this was the first result:
There are likely others out there, but this one seems good enough and well made.
Well i’ve read through this thread and it has yet to be established that there is any actual problem. As such I see no reason to change anything.
The vast majority of items can only be acquired by doing their associated content. There is no reason for legendary armor to be any diffent.
Want PvP armor… you must PvP
Want Chak weapons… you must play TD
Want Bladed armor… you must play VB
Want PvP mini… you must do ranked PvP
Want extra shiny PvP… you must reach the top 100 in ranked PvP
Want legendary armor… you must do raids
Want new legendary weapons… you must do all HoT contentI could go on for another 100 lines or so, but the fact is that almost ALL skins, titles, and armor in this game are tied to very specific content and can’t be acquired elsewhere. The only things that can be are base items that came with launch, and gemstore items that can be purchased with gold.
This is partly the reason why I feel all cosmetic/fluff/toy items should be sold in the gem store. I’ve seen complaints about the game being too gem store-focused, I personally feel that it is nowhere near gem store-focused enough and most, if not all of the stuff in the game should be available from there.
In my ideal game, we would all be able to play the content we enjoy (play the way we want) and earn gold doing it. Nobody would have to grind out unenjoyable/restrictive content for a real long time just to get a desired item, or even a piece of a desired item, and then repeat that no-fun grind again for another piece. We could all then play what we want, have a fun time playing the game, earn gold and then spend that earned gold on the item of our choice at the gem store.
Some content would clearly give more gold than others based on ‘difficulty’ or skill requirements, but nobody would be locked out from being able to acquire something. Everyone having access to all of the same items regardless of what content they enjoy playing makes sense to me.
If someone wants an item from the gem store sooner, they can buy it with coin earned in the real world from grinding unenjoyable content for a shiny.
I never understood why MMORPG developers felt they were required to lock ‘rewards’ behind different content. Forcing someone to have to play content they do not enjoy to get a specific reward is insulting, to the players and to the designers of that content. People should want to take part in the content you designed because it is fun and they enjoy taking part in that content, not because you tied a highly desired item to completing that content umpteen thousand times. Even if one does not enjoy that content, they are required to take part in it a ridiculous amount if they want the shiny. What does that say about the content then, where what seems to be the main reason people are even playing it is because it is required if they want the shiny, not because it is fun. That’s … pretty sad, and disappointing.
I think games should be fun and an enjoyable way to spend one’s time. Locking aesthetics behind hours upon hours of grinding content that some may not enjoy is not something I agree with, or support. Then again, perhaps I am the only one that feels this way, and that’s cool – it’s just my opinion.
(edited by StinVec.3621)
The ability to mix together appearances of armor pieces to form a unique style for each character I have or am inspired to make as I romp about the world seeking adventure.
This is something I really loved about GW2 as most other MMORPGs had focused on the whole ‘outfit’ side of armor appearances.
Disappointingly, ANet has now gone this way with armor appearances and only offers outfits on the gem store. At least there is a somewhat decent selection for each armor weight available.
I await the day they go back to offering armor pieces and sets in the gem store. Or, in addition to the gem store, added as drops out in the world (as opposed to the other disappointing change they made of requiring ridiculous grind for one piece of one set for one weight…yeah…no).
+1
I support this request.
Implement skin pieces and sets that can be acquired via playing the game or even expansion exclusive sets, but also release sets in the gem store again please.
I prefer to switch up character appearances frequently via incorporating individual pieces of gem store armor sets and then play the content I enjoy (PvE adventuring), not farming content I do not enjoy just to get a single piece of a set for a single armor weight and then have to repeat farming that content I do not enjoy for another piece.
I would fashion and re-fashion new and existing characters and actually play the game more if you would go back to releasing armor skins in the gem store and, ideally, increase your releases to at least one new set a month.
No need to rush the sets or wait and release a set for all three weights at the same time, that’s ridiculous. 3 sets (1 per weight) per month is unlikely to be achievable, so stagger their releases. Release a light set in the store, I’ll buy it and incorporate elements of it into my light armor characters and play them. Then release a medium set a month later and I’ll incorporate elements of it into my medium characters and play them. Then release a heavy set.
3 months to work on a single set of armor skins for an armor weight sounds very doable to me. A total of 4 light, 4 medium and 4 heavy sets in a year for me to purchase and they’d be sure to have me logging in and going out into the game world pretty much every single day again.
(edited by StinVec.3621)
I run into several items every day that say there are only one of them at the price, and if you buy it then you get the one you bought, but the listing doesn’t go away and still shows one available at that price. It eventually gets bought out if you buy enough 1 at a time. Or if you simply buy a bunch at a time, it’ll end up buying all of that hidden quantity and refund the incorrect difference in price from selecting higher priced listings.
I mark this up to the number simply not displaying how many are actually listed there at that price.
The weird thing is, I notice this happening constantly on the same items day after day when they get listings down around a certain price range.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Soulbound-items-Account-bound-items/first#post5925631
Despite an ANet post previously stating that they cannot manually convert individual soulbound items to being account bound (was in a mistward thread, can’t find it again yet), this person said they contacted support and that they made their soulbound Mistward items to being account bound.
May want to submit a CS ticket and ask about them doing the same for you.
You need to re-enable the various chat elements manually. It seems you disabled most or all of them on that chat tab or something happened which cleared all of their checks.
(edited by StinVec.3621)
Paid accounts can have a maximum of 72(73?) character slots, though I think that requires several past situations to gain a couple slots that cannot be gotten any longer (HoT pre-purchase/“compensation” slots). So a new/paid account today could likely get their max slots up to about 70.
Additional character slot unlocks are available in the gem store for 800 gems each, though they do sometimes go on sale for less (usually about 650).
EDIT:
Based on how the account types and restrictions pages read, I originally thought Play For Free accounts could not purchase additional character slots unless they purchased the game. Additional posts here by other players informed that P4F players are able to purchase additional character slots from the gem store.

Hello,
I am currently in the process of doing a small specific tutorial on the game and I stumbles on two settings I can not know for sure what they correspond.
This chat of the two options I have framed on my screenshot:
- Game Messages> Miscellaneous
- Game Messages> CharacterFirst, before answering, ask yourself if you are on because I want a no one can be sure, thank you.
I was already told Emotes for the connections and disconnections, etc. NPC but not it is in other independent options.
Suddenly an idea?
PS: Yes I looked on the web, so I tried to test play, but even without checking it and making everything and nothing, no messages will be displayed there.
From my own experiences and a couple I am guessing at:
“Miscellaneous” controls printout of:
“Character” controls printout of:
Pleasant adventures to you, Jeff!
I’ve always respected and enjoyed your creative mind. I sincerely look forward to seeing what it produces for AGS.
Were you trying to salvage the armor you get off a newly made character?
That might be it. But then, why not simply make it unsalvageable, like the personal story rewards and karma gear?
Apparently there was some issue of people mass-creating>salvaging for leather and cloth that was brought up on Reddit and support initially told a player that it was an exploit.
It got the attention of some Devs over there. They likely disabled salvaging of the starter armor before the weekend until they determined whether it was an exploit or not.
They later said they did not consider it an exploit, but they’ve still not re-enabled salvaging of those items yet.
There’s been a couple of Reddit threads discussing whether repeatedly creating a medium armor char in order to salvage the armor, delete and repeat, was an exploit. The OP made a support ticket and got a response saying it was an exploit, and posted that response.
Dev responses
Update from GMGus (me, saying it right now): I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that we’re not going to block anyone for this (honestly not even totally sure whether this is intended functionality or not). Blocking people for this would be really silly, one might even call it frivolous. We made the game this way, and if we don’t like how it works, we’ll change it, not block legitimate players. That said, I can think of a number of other much better (both quicker and more fun) ways to make money in Gw2 than clicking through the character select screen…
Confirmed. We’ll not be taking any action on this and the devs are looking into whether a change needs to be made.
Sorry for the heart-attacks!
I don’t think it requires a patch to get re-enabled, so it’s likely that it is still disabled due to it having been the weekend and many/all who would have power to re-enable it were out of the office, or because they’re still looking at it to see if a change needs to be made to it.
So it’ll likely get re-enabled today at some point when they get back into the office if they’ve determined that no change needs to be made to it. If they do feel a change needs to be made, who knows if/when salvaging starter armor will be re-enabled.
It looks to me like everything is dyed in one of the default unlocked (starter) dyes.
Most likely one of these:
Are we allowed to use this, because losing my cursor is very frustrating and this would make me so very happy.
It is still perfectly fine to use. It even offers a 64-bit version for use with the 64-bit GW2 beta client.
If you need help with some customized cursors, I’d be happy to find or make one to your liking or send you some that I’m currently using, though most of the ones I use are animated and not static.
Issue #1:
Issue #2:
It would be really nice if these issues could be fixed.
I’d really like to be able to use the Revenant Mail Carrier as my delivery agent when sending a mail to another player just as I can with every other mail carrier I’ve purchased and unlocked.

I play the game and occasionally farm the TP, and by farming I mean buying items, salvaging them and selling the salvage for profit. No different IMO as farming the open world or gathering mats. It is a form of flipping with some form of manipulation added in but nothing someone could do on their own rather than selling their loot to the highest bidder at 60 copper to the silver.
I farm the TP by buying items, salvaging them and selling the salvage for profit and also occasionally play the game.
No spreadsheets or anything like that. Just log in, update buy orders, collect the previous day’s purchases, salvage them and sell the materials.
Most days result in profit of about 40-80g, but some days can get up to 200g + depending on my buy order competition while I was offline, what day of the week it is and what time of day I last updated my orders. Made about 150 or so gold yesterday for 30ish minutes of buy order updates and an hour or so of salvaging.
As for why I am at the TP more often than out playing the game:
I prefer to switch up character appearances frequently via incorporating individual pieces of gem store armor sets and then play the content I enjoy (PvE adventuring), not farming content I do not enjoy just to get a single piece of a set for a single armor weight and then have to repeat farming that content I do not enjoy for another piece.

I was not able to link any kind of item, skill or waypoint into party (squad) chat today as well. My party (squad) mates were unable to as well. Regardless of what we typed into the box, including any kind of chat link caused the message to disappear into the mists when sent.
Guild/say/map/whisper all worked fine for us when linking.
I would be willing to compromise and have a gem store item you could buy (and it would probably be fairly expensive) to give you unlimited transmutation charges.
Unfortunately if something like that were ever to be implemented it would be like the permanent bank access contract, permanent hair stylist contract, permanent black lion merchant contract, and permanent trading post express contract, and be only available in black lion chests.
Personally:
When I am salvaging, and I often salvage a lot, I sometimes find myself getting into a rhythm and accidentally clicking to salvage an item I meant to skip. Unfortunately for me, using a salvage tool on an item activates upon clicking down, instead of upon releasing the mouse button.
If the actual act of salvaging an item were to happen upon release of the mouse button instead of upon depression of the mouse button, I could slide the cursor off of the item before releasing it if I realized that fraction of a second too late that I didn’t want to salvage that specific item.
Ohoni, what they really need to do is if you send an unused gem store outfit with baked in transmute charges to the wardrobe, it credits you with the charges still baked in.
I Agree
I completely agree with you. Instead of having to hoard unused armor skins, we should be able to add an unused skin item from the gem store to the wardrobe, which automatically adds its free application charge to your wallet’s transmutation charges for use to apply any skin.
Outmoded System Elements
Skin items received from gem store mails should no longer have existed as items once the wardrobe/T-Charge system was implemented. When a player accepts the purchased skin(s) from the gem store delivery mail, the skin(s) should automatically be unlocked and a transmutation charge(s) added to the wallet.
Ugh
I have one character dedicated to storage for armor skins that I’ve purchased but not yet used. I would really like to be able to send these skins to the wardrobe/wallet as transmutation charges instead of using a character slot as a mule to store all of them.
Perhaps some day.
—Thread Necroed—
Just to note for those looking to comment, this thread was just necroed and is over 2 years old (2013, Nov. 4). Just pointing it out for those looking to comment so they know the posts above are very old and this is not a topic the OP is currently wanting thoughts on as if they had just made this thread.
To anyone here in need that are also on NA servers:
Ever since I got a 2nd mesmer up to the goggles to help out Lanfear (hiya!), I have been porting players (single and groups) to the chest and then from the chest to the goggles (and both legendary collection points) with dual mesmers almost every day.
I also give succinct pointers for getting the dive now, which usually results in a successful first try. If you are interested in some mesmer assistance to get the dive/legendary collection spots, and are also on NA servers, feel free to message me in-game.

As we all know, for professions that can have more than one set of weapons, there is a little ‘swap’ arrow to the left of your weapon skills. However, this icon is always the same regardless of the active set and does not say the number of which weapon set you are currently using or swapping to.
I realize it’s pretty easy to tell which weapon set you are using if one is a hammer and the other is dual axes. However, if I am using two sets of the same weapons, but the sets have different stats and/or sigils, it is hard to tell which set is my active set if both have the same skin.
I do not like that the only way to really tell which weapon set I am using in this scenario is by the skin of the weapon, and then my having to skin them with different skins just to tell them apart.
(I realize that the single icon could just be edited to show the active set number, but that may lead to confusion for some as to whether the active set is the number shown or if that number shown is the inactive set and the set that would be swapped to. It would likely prevent any confusion to simply show two small icons with the set numbers on them and a color and/or size change to show which is the active set.)
Text Example:
(s1) > (s2) | 1 || 2 || 3 || 4 || 5 |
(s1) < (s2) | 1 || 2 || 3 || 4 || 5 |

My request for an account jump start was fulfilled by Recido (SnackPac.2701)
Many thanks to him/her! I honestly can’t believe it. It feels so great right before my midterms. :P
Anyways, he/she requested some pics of me, so here they are!
Fantastic to hear! That was very kind of your gifter.
Please be sure to follow Step #2 of the OP and edit your initial post, otherwise your desire for the Account Jumpstart is still listed there as being desired. Thank you!
NA or EU
To other posters, I’m seeing a lot of people not saying whether they are on NA or EU servers when making their desire posts. This is crucial information if you actually want your desire to potentially be fulfilled as one can only receive a gift from another on the same server. I’ve tried to make contact to fulfill many desires I see listed, but as the person did not mention their being on an EU server, and I am on an NA server, they always appear offline and I am unable to gift them.
I may look to remake the thread and split it into two threads, one for NA servers and one for EU servers. I’ll look to see if this will be permitted or possible.

Heck, I still need to get that Aetherblade one in order to finally complete my Dive Master. But yeah, a title would be nice as some of those diving goggles were almost impossible to get.
I frequently port to the chest and then from the chest to the goggles with dual memsers. I also give pointers for getting the dive. If you are interested in some mesmer assistance to get the dive, and are also on NA servers, feel free to message me in-game.
To the topic:
There are many achievements that I was dumbfounded to discover had no titles awarded for completing them, and the dive master is at the top of that list.
I support your request.
I have zero concern about this. In fact, I think they made the right call having it “Staffs”. What irritates the bleep out of me is the pronunciation of Wyvern. Who the bleep screwed that up??
I never listened to the npcs in-game saying it. How do they pronounce it?
Pretty sure they say “Whiv-urn” instead of “Why-vern”.
Almost like someone with a speech impediment (like Barry Kripke on Big Bang) saying “river”…with an ‘n’ on the end (wivver-n).

It cannot be used inside of your home instance either. It likely cannot be used inside any instanced area, which I think is likely to be an intentional limitation.
It may have some technical reason behind this limitation, or it may even be disabled in instances due to some potential method of exploitation we are unaware of that they thought of. Or blanket instance disabling of the teleportation item could even be due to being the easiest way of preventing a potential personal story-breaking issue if one were to use it while in a story instance.
Just tossing out ideas for one or more possible reasons for this limitation to be in place as I feel it is likely intentional and not an oversight or bug.
I could be completely wrong and it actually is an oversight/bug, but disabling of the item in instanced areas seems too intentional to me.

Here is an article of what a lot of players are asking for. A Key Ring..
http://guildwarshub.com/gw2-key-ring-mock-up/
I have also gotten some huge feedback for this as well.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/41g7yg/pact_crowbars_exalted_keys_chak_acid_machetes/
Why make a new thread and not post this in the existing thread a few below your new one on the front page that even has a dev response?
(It’s not a useful dev response, this isn’t Reddit or anything, but it still highlights the thread to show they are likely aware of many players’ desire for this feature)

Can I ask if you have a key bound in your control options, under the ‘Map’ section, to ‘Recenter’ the camera? If so, what key is it bound to? Also, just curious what key you have ‘Open/Close Map’ bound to as well.
I’m just trying to imagine as many aspects to the scenario as possible, taking into account what you’ve attempted in the past that has not helped and what has.
I’m currently thinking about a potential input control conflict where your clicking a waypoint from chat is also activating the ‘Recenter’ function before the map can shift to the location of the clicked waypoint – causing the map to stay in place and centered on your character.
Just thinking about it though. It’s an unusual problem so I am also thinking it is likely to have an unusual cause.
