How do you do the heart now though? The stuff you had to kill/gather was at the exit to the village, but now you can’t even get close to the exit to the village and the events that used to spawn krait to kill seem to be disabled.

“Free slaves from the krait, kill quaggan’s predators, clear krait nets, and collect tasty crab meat for Doolsileep.”
There are still several of those tasks that can be done that do not involve fighting Krait and freeing slaves.
Let me get this right.
You go to edit your profile and the text that you want in your signature is displayed in the edit signature box, it is just that your signature will not display on your posts?
You mentioned, “I ensure that the “Show Signature” box is checked after each post, but my signature fails to appear”, but do you also have the “Show Signature By Default” check box checked in your Edit Profile screen?
Or is it that there is nothing shown in your signature box on the Edit Profile screen no matter what you enter into it and save?
Check your current buy orders and make sure you do not have any for Country Boots that you may have accidentally placed. You can check this under the “Sell At Trading Post” tab of the trading post and then select the “Items I’m Buying” option from the dropdown menu at the top.
In addition to ‘Running As Administrator’ helping with many issues, most TP issues are primarily related to some temporary GW2 files where removing them will allow them to be recreated and the TP to function properly again.

This issue has been reported many times over in the Bugs forum. It has also been responded to by a dev and it is being corrected, we just need to give it some time.

Does it really count as a dare if it’s physically impossible?
For anyone wondering why the number is so large, it’s 2 to the power of 32 minus one, which basically means it’s the highest value able to be stored in a 32-bit number. No one is actually expected to reach that ceiling.
(2^32 = 4,294,967,296
but you have to subtract one, since you have to count zero as a number. Isn’t binary fun!)
Of all the many and separate (sigh) threads on this subject that have been posted, your response gets my vote for being the best comment in any of them.
Can’t find the Charr any where help
Which Charr are you looking for?
If you mean the ‘Home’ area in the Black Citadel, then look up two posts from yours at Khisanth’s attached image which shows exactly where the ‘Home’ instance is and where the nodes are within it.
I enjoyed Inquisition last year.
Then again, last year we didn’t have the champ train and event farming for rewards mentality and the unacceptable behavior of an ever-growing portion of those that take part in the farming trains.
True, there were trains and farmers last year, but the sour and aggressive ‘me, me, me, do as I say’ mentality has had over a year to fester, and with each game update this horrible behavior has only been rewarded…and seemingly encouraged.
I won’t even be trying Inquisition this year for the exact reason stated by the OP; it won’t be fun. I wanted to spend a lot of time playing it this year, but all I’ve heard from people who went in with fond memories of last year and wanting to play it as it was intended, is that it simply cannot be played for fun anymore.
If my entire team is just going to sacrifice themselves just to ‘get it over with’ to get their optimal rewards faster instead of playing as it is intended…why bother? What I found fun about the game wasn’t just beating the other team to win the round, it was outlasting my teammates to show that I was better at hiding and evading. If they all give up at the start just to ‘get it over with’ so they can get their APs and junk bags, then the part of Inquisition I enjoy no longer exists.
There are plenty of other daily tasks that be completed to earn your daily achievement chest if you are not interested in/are not able to get a group to participate in fighting Tequatl. That is the beauty of the daily tasks; you can earn the daily achievement by doing almost anything and don’t need to take part in areas of the game you do not enjoy to earn it.
Also, some days the ‘Here Be Dragons’ daily task isn’t limited to only defeating Tequatl, but can be completed by defeating any zone boss.

You may want to run a repair on your client to see if there are any damaged files that are called when performing that action that cause the game to stop responding.
First thing to do is:
Check the game for errors and repair it
If that does not fix the problem try to:
Delete the local.dat file
Deleting this file will cause you to lose your saved game settings but it should fix the problem.
The quickest way to do this is to:
There was a thread about this in general discussion about a month back. It was discussed whether this could be
- faulty mouse brands
- right click on right mouse turning
- mobs going off screen
- large mobs with part of them off screenA variety of mice were being used. Right click was discounted. The general conclusion was that it was a bug (but it would be good to have an option to turn off right click activation!).
The OP mentioned that they were aware of some mouse click target loss issues, so they intentionally didn’t right-click at all and the target would drop.
“I am aware that clicking on the terrain auto-deselects targets, so when I noticed this happening, I intentionally did not click anywhere else. The target continued to auto-deselect after an extended period of time (1 min or so).”
Also, there is a game option to disable right-click to interact/attack.
Quite welcome. Glad to hear it was able to be fixed quickly and that there wasn’t something broken. If you have any more issues down the line don’t hesitate to ask for more help.
After doing that, if you still receive errors then you may want to:
Check the game for errors and repair it
Heya. This has been reported in the past and responded to by a dev. Just waiting now for it to be fixed, though there is no word yet on when that fix may go in.
Pulled from my Tracker – Living World/Game Update Bugs thread.
There is a “Child” that runs around near the main entrance/portal from Queensdale that occasionally gets stuck in a slow motion running animation right in front of the aforementioned portal to Queensdale.
The child is male and holding a wooden sword.
He normally speeds off at super speed after doing 30+ seconds of slow motion, though other times he will simply disappear after the 30+ seconds of slow motion.
When not stuck in slow motion he is normally running around with a female ‘Child’ NPC, though he tends to whip all around the courtyard at super speed while she maintains a normal speed of movement. May want to check into his pathing behaviors.
I’ve noticed this for many weeks but I’ve only remembered to report it just now.
I’ll look to update this post with a video of the issue when I next catch him like that.

Thank you very much, Tyler, for this as well as your other good deeds and excellent work.
The bug has been found and is being corrected. Thanks for the reports!
That is very good news to hear! All around big thank you for working so quickly on this matter!
This change in location has also happened for everyone and not just for you.
It was always in the “Documents\Guild Wars 2” folder, but several weeks ago it was relocated to the “AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2” folder. This change was not documented and I’ve not found any reason for the relocation as yet.
Delete the local.dat file

I have yet to find anything that could be causing this to show 0% other than it actually being bugged/a typo.
Also no longer using Sharpened Edges until this is resolved/corrected.

Loved her VO demos. Nice to see the other stuff she’s done also. I remember Ethene in KoA:R, nice to know that it was her that voiced her.

I’ve just started running into this issue of the TP running very, very slowly and not loading buy or sell listings as well. Even when the listings do load, it takes upward of 30+ seconds for the item to actually list. It seems to be something on their end with the servers the TP runs on and not a cache issue as clearing it makes no difference in the slowness of the TP.
Others experiencing this TP slow-down issue as well.
I did not receive any mail that contained these finishers.
I’ve only gotten a single (5 use) Mad King Finisher from Trick or Treat bags.
I’m thinking I won’t be completing that achievement any time soon, if ever, considering they are also being reported as not always registering for the achievement when used.
Like the title says, every time I try to load a character up the game crashes. I can make characters, and I can even play my Norn Elementalist for a couple of minutes before the game decides to crash. The error message that comes up has no title, and says:
“success
A serious error has occured that prevented the application from continuing. A report has been sent to ArenaNet to help determine the cause.”I’m running the game through the Mac client, if that means anything.
Thank you for your help!
Others in the Mac Beta Client section are reporting a crash issue as well. Is this the same error message you receive?
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/mac/Mac-beta-lagging-and-crashing
You may find more support or a solution to the problem in the Mac area.
I’m a Windows user but I’ll see if I can find anything that can help you out in the Mac area also.
The game doesnt loads it self.
If i open a clean file with only gw2.exe to download the game it just downloads the 14k kb’s before the login screen and nothing after that.
If i open my usual gw2.exe nothing happens.
In both situation when i go to windows task manager i see gw2.exe running only at the processes tab. Not at the application tab.
Also if i try to -repair the client again nothing is happening, only that the processes tab.
Windows 7 64bit. It happend when the update came, but i dont think that thats the reason.
Any solutions? Thanks!
Glad to have helped.
The remove dye/re-dye trick normally fixes the problem when an item isn’t saving dye changes if it isn’t something more complex keeping it from dying properly.
I’ve let my main man Dylan know and he’ll look into it!
Thank you, Evan. And please pass a thank you on to Dylan as well.
Try to:
See if that was enough to fix the problem.
If it is still crashing and not loading properly:
Check the game for errors and repair it
Your thread belongs in the Guild Wars 2 Discussion forum as it is a thread for discussing a topic and you are not reporting a new, previously unreported bug.
Gloves are still chopped off.
Attached is the character’s right hand. See that white TA chest piece is chopping off CoF glove to be wrist and down only. This will also happen with Radiant gloves, or any long gloves for that matter.
Korossive, the issue you are describing is completely different from the one being discussed in the OP and responded to by Josh Davis.
The issue you are reporting has been reported before, though if you would like to double check that your issue has been reported, you can browse through the “Issues with character art, weapons, or armor” sticky thread. If you do not see your specific issue reported in there already, feel free to add your report with your screenshot to there.
thx stinvec, but it doesn’t seem to fix my issue. the gw2.dat is still sitting duck in the folder while .exe is loading a new one. weird thing though, even if a new .dat is being downloaded the old one is neither gaining or losing size at all….
First, do you happen to have some files in your installation directory called Gw2.000, Gw2.001, Gw2.002, .003, .004 etc.?
This means that your Gw2.tmp file has the ‘Read Only’ attribute set on it. Remove this attribute from its Properties (as well as Gw2.exe and Gw2.dat if they have it set).
I’ve read of a way around this issue if that is the case.
Until it is fixed you can bind a key to toggle Town Clothes. Switching to Town Clothes and back is the same as removing all your armor and re-equipping them which is a workaround for the runes being bugged following death.
Pulled from my Tracker – Living World/Game Update Bugs thread.
Please let this be a lead-in to Krait being a playable race (metamorphose ala Little Mermaid to have legs as the workaround for armor viability). I’d accept Quaggan, stags, or even man-bear-pigs at this point as a new race. Just give us something, anything, please! I beg you!

Can you try to use the Dye Remover tool on all dye slots of the hat (if more than one) and save the changes. Then go back in and see if dying it to your liking will save.
The Ranger Skirmishing Trait II (Sharpened Edges) states:
Chance to cause bleeding on critical hits.
- Chance on Critical Hit: 0%
- Bleeding (2½s): 85 Damage
A trait stating that it gives a chance to cause bleeding on critical hits, should actually give a chance to cause bleeding on critical hits.
Is this a typo’ed tool-tip issue or does this trait actually give a 0% (as in less than 1%) chance to inflict bleeding on critical hits?
(edited by StinVec.3621)
First check and make sure that the game is not currently running in your Task Manager.
Then ensure your game is set to ‘Run As Administrator’
After enabling this setting, try to re-launch the game and see if it updates properly.
You’re welcome. Glad it helped.
I’m gonna bookmark this thread in case I need to do this. I saved the info though if I can’t access the net at some point.
:)
There is also information HERE on how to remove the local.dat file which can also be the solution to some issues.
And if you ever have issues with the Trading Post, THIS outlines how to clear the GW2 cache files to fix most TP issues. Though it may be quicker to simply do “Windows Key” + “F” to open Search on your computer and search for “gw2cache” and then delete that “gw2cache-{bunch-of-letters-and-numbers}” folder.
There are generally these few fixes that solve most issues with the game:
(edited by StinVec.3621)
This seems to be what must be done.
If restarting your computer is the only way to get the game to close out of currently running processes, then please restart your computer to ensure the game is not running and then perform the steps mentioned above.
I’ve never seen that form of an error before…
I think you should try the following to see if it clears up the problem.
Then: Check the game for errors and repair it
I’m glad (and saddened) to see that this undocumented change to the “Target Nearest” function (totally separate from the tab targeting changes that were documented) is not only affecting a core element of my combat gameplay, but is an issue for others as well…unfortunately.
Discussion of this issue also taking place here.
Moderator, requesting a merge please.
I agree with everything stated to this point.
I was aware of the priority changes coming in today’s patch regarding “TAB Targeting”, but nowhere were these changes mentioned to also affect “Target Nearest”, which is totally separate from and should not be related to “TAB Targeting” and the changes made to that aspect of the targeting system.
“Target Nearest” should…well, “Target Nearest”, regardless of the type of enemy.
