What tasks have you completed that should yield a title being awarded?
Not all tasks/achievements have titles associated with them, only specific ones.

Try to run your game with the " -repair" command line argument added to the end of the “Target” field of the shortcut. Perhaps there is a damaged file that will be repaired by doing this.
It does sound like a graphics card driver issue.
What graphics card are you currently using and what OS/bit?
example: Radeon HD 5750 on Win7 64-bit
If you need help getting the current drivers for your card, this information would be helpful so I can supply a link for you to download the correct drivers.

Reported Graphical Issues
Unfortunately it has been reported many, many, many times since beta and it has still never been fixed or even acknowledged as their being aware of the issue. All it should take is someone opening the Charr footprint graphic and lightmap in Photoshop, or even Paint, rotating them and hitting save. 30 seconds, max.

Item: Guild Assassin Backpack
Issue: Item is titled “Assassin” but has “Berserker” stats
Description:
As you can clearly see in this attached image, the Guild Assassin Backpack has “Berserker” stats instead of “Assassin” stats.
Across all gear in the game:
Berserker = Higher “Power” than “Perception”
Assassin = Higher “Perception” than “Power”
The Guild Assassin Backpack has higher “Power” than “Perception” which means it is “Berserker”, but it is called “Assassin” incorrectly.
Solution:
Either the “Guild Assassin Backpack” items should all be re-titled to “Guild Berserker Backpack” or the stats should be changed to higher “Perception” than “Power”.

First, thanks for not posting the actual exploit on the forums; that’s a big no-no.
You can email information directly to ArenaNet to report the exploit by sending it to: exploits@arena.net
You can also report it via the in-game “Report A Bug” tool. Just select the appropriate area the exploit is related to, check the “Exploitable” checkbox, click the screenshot button if it is something that would show up in a screenshot or it’d help to explain the issue, and include as much information as possible in the description and send it.
If you would prefer, you could also submit it via these forums using the “Ask A Question” section in the top middle of the Support page.

Would someone be able to inform me of what happened to the Level 80 Medium Exotic “Berserker’s Duelist Gloves” please?
There used to be both these gloves and “Nika’s Gloves” for level 80 exotic medium gloves with Berserker stats and the Duelist skin. They existed not long ago, but now the highest level medium exotic “Berserker’s Duelist Gloves” is level 78.
They are also still listed on the wiki, though they no longer have their own page.
Are we now forced to have to purchase the named “Nika’s Gloves” to get Berserker stats on level 80 exotic medium armor with the Duelist skin, or buy the Level 80 Exotic Medium “Berserker’s Emblazoned Gloves” and transmute the Duelist skin onto it?
I would just really like to know what happened to them and the rest of the LvL80 Medium non-named Berserker Duelist Armor and when (and why) they were removed from the game please.

Bonus Chests can only be earned once per day, per account and those are tied to the Daily Reset.
However, I believe Zone Boss Chests reset on a 24 hour schedule from when it was last looted (as you can get the Boss Chest once per day on each character you have) and is not tied to the Daily Reset timer like the Bonus Chest is. If this is the case, then it is likely that it had not been 24 hours since you last looted the Boss Chest for that event on that character and that is why it did not appear for you.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/news/Upcoming-mega-boss-chest-change/1656442
I’ve only ever been able to find an Anet dev stating “per day” and not “per 24-hour period” or “per daily reset period”. I still, to this day, am confused on their definition of “per day” in regards to boss chests. Sorry I cannot be more certain of how it works. Even the Wiki is vague and does not offer exact definitions of what “per day” or “normal amount of time” actually mean.

Boss Week started on September 17th and should run until September 30th as the new update, Twilight Assault, is released on October 1st. I don’t expect it to last for two more weeks with the upcoming release, though some events have been staggered across updates before and last for a whole month. You should still have enough time to join in on 3 Tequatl fights on the 28th, 29th and 30th Daily resets if you’ve already done your September 27th Boss Week Daily. I also expect at least one of those three days to be an “any zone event boss” daily (just as the current 27th is any Zone Boss), and not requiring it to be Tequatl for each of those three remaining days (if the event doesn’t continue with the new release).
(edited by StinVec.3621)
In addition to the 5 Boss Week achievements, one must also complete 4 of the Daily Tasks relating to the Boss Week Achievement to complete the Meta Achievement and earn the wings.
The additional Daily tasks are listed under your “Daily And Monthly” section and each day there is a task to where you must take part in and get credit for defeating Tequatl or some days have the task of defeating any Zone Boss to complete that day’s achievement.
It has been reported before, as well as other Radiant+X graphical conflicts. A dev responded on the issue stating it was in their tracker to be looked at and corrected. Hopefully it will be fixed in one of these October patches.

I haven’t tried this myself, yet, so I do not know if it will work this way. But if you remember the exact name of the character that those items were soulbound to that you deleted, have you tried to create a new character with the exact same name once again to see if those items can be taken from your bank and salvaged? I’m not certain of how the soulbound function works to where items are bound to the name of a character or to another aspect or ID for the character.
I will try this out to see if it behaves this way as a possible way for items in the bank that are soulbound to a deleted character to once again be usable by a newly created character of the same name as the deleted character they were soulbound to.

The waypoint wasn’t added into the game until Feb 26, 2013 when the guild puzzle was added in at that location with the Flame And Frost story arc, that could account for your seeing the zone left at 96% for such a long time.
I just ran into the same situation with the waypoint at Proxemics Lab in Brisban Wildlands with the guild puzzle having been added to there as well. I noticed I had the zone incomplete, though I thought I had completed it in the past. I then had to Google for a map of the zone to see what I was missing and found this information and figured I must have already completed the zone in the early days of the character last year.
They also added a waypoint in at Angvar’s Trove in Snowden Drifts for that guild puzzle.

:)
Teamwork is so freakin’ awesome.
Thank you, Team.
The mail and TP issues should now be fixed. Can you try restarting your game and trying again?
Thank you very much, Curtis Johnson.
Can I ask what was the final waypoint/vista/POI you discovered that gave you 100% completion? Was it the Langmar Estate Waypoint in the far southwest?
Is it possible that you already had Plains of Ashford completed and earned the chest once in the past, and then with the new waypoint added in after that, you then completed it again by discovering that new waypoint, which would not grant an additional chest?
(edited by StinVec.3621)
This has been reported before so they may be aware of the issue, but it has not yet been acknowledged on the forums.
However, you can still complete the Renown Heart by shooting the targets with the rifle in the middle training pen.
The problem still persists for me.
[…]
Locations that I’ve attempted to sell from include
Lion’s Arch, Ascalonian Catacombs Dungeon (during paths 1 and 3), Outside of the Entrance to Honor of the Waves Dungeon, Rata Sum, and the Black Citadel.
Would you consider also attempting to sell items from within your Home Instance? There were situations in the past when this issue has come up where items could be sold and mail could be sent but only from within the Home Instance.
Thanks for the effort StinVec, but after having done each method and tested, I still can’t sell anything, even post patch of tonight.
Filed in game bug report.
No more farming anything, no room.
Quite welcome. I’m always happy to at least try to help out if I can, though this issue seems to be beyond me or any other players to fix and must be taken care of on their end. :\
One thing you can do for more space to store non-account/soulbound items in temporarily is to have a personal guild or four with a vault trained up (a few gold and you can train a vault in minutes). Even buying a character slot and using it as a mule to store stuff is cheaper than buying bank space and you get more storage slots in each of those than a bank upgrade.
Its all stuff you try to sell(copper, armor, weapon all stuff)just get error.
And were can you see tools so you can see hide folders in windows so I can try what stin suggested?
Sorry, by “window menus” I mean up at the top of the window where it says “File Edit View Tools Help”.

thats not right because 4 days ago before this whole thing happened i had the option to sell my skins.. and now the option is gone, they are pre patch skins.. would it not be fair for the items to be rerolled and made into sellable ones again ?
That really is quite odd for a pre-patch specialty skin to have had the option to be sold, and then to now no longer be sellable once again. I’m sorry to have to say that I can not think of any logical cause or possible solution for that issue.
(edited by StinVec.3621)
the items i am curently trying to sell are my un-unsed fused longbow skin and my sclerite great sword skin
rarity: rare
level: no level (its a skin)
and still no option to sell on trading post
Those are most likely Pre-Patch specialty weapon skins.
This has been an issue of great concern for many players.
There are Pre-Patch skins, and Post-Patch skins.
Newly acquired (post-patch) Specialty Skins have been made tradeable on the BLTP.
However, the issue that has many rightfully upset is the fact that Specialty Skins that were acquired prior to the change in tradability (pre-patch) remain untradeable and account bound, despite the tool-tip no longer stating that they are.
So, if you acquired this skin prior to the change (pre-patch) then your skin is account bound still and will not be sellable despite the skin tool-tip not stating this fact. If you acquired the skin recently and after the restriction change (post-patch) then it will not be account bound and is sellable.
There have been many threads and discussions on this unfair issue, but it does not look like the tradeability restriction will ever be lifted from specialty skins acquired pre-patch.
:\
unfortunatly this didnt work for me, and when i do the other thing you mentioned in my gw2 file in documents i only have a folder called music and a forlder called screenshots.. please help
Wow, apparently they’ve just changed the location of where the local.dat file gets stored from being in the Documents folder to being in the “C:\Users\MyComputerUserName\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2” folder. I’ll adjust the post I made to reflect this change.
Also, what items are you attempting to right-click/sell that are not giving you the option since they are not in an invisible bag? It’s possible that they are soulbound, or have had an upgrade applied to them which makes them account bound despite not being marked as being made account bound.
(edited by StinVec.3621)
I’m not sure if any of you have tried yet, but most TP issues are related to some temporary GW2 files where removing them will allow them to be recreated and the TP to function properly again.
First Option:
- Close your game completely.
- Browse your My Computer to: C:\Users\YourComputerUserName
- Then in the window menus, click on “Tools” then “Folder Options…”
- In the window that pops up, click the “View” tab
- Select to “Show hidden files, folders and drives” and click ‘OK’ (attached image)
- You should now see a folder in your file listing called “AppData”, open this folder
- Inside that folder open the “Local” folder
- Inside that folder open the “Temp” folder
- You should now see a folder called “gw2cache-{1501A8C1-6AA1-1601-C2A8-0115A16A0116}” or something similar. Delete this gw2cache folder.
- Load up your game normally and see if the issue is fixed.
Thank you ! Deleting the gw2-cache folder in appdata fixed the issue for me. You are my TP hero :P
I’m glad it helped!
Also, if you ever have the issue with the TP that I show in this attached screenshot, then clearing the cache will solve that issue as well.
im also reeiving the same thing.. when i right click on certain items the option to buy or sell at trading post doesnt even apear
The items that are not offering you the “Sell at Trading Post” option may be stored in an invisible bag. Items in an invisible bag are not listed in the Sell tab of the TP and will not offer the “Sell at” option when right-clicking them. Try moving them to a non-invisible bag (if they are in an invisible bag) and trying again.
I’m not sure if any of you have tried yet, but most TP issues are related to some temporary GW2 files where removing them will allow them to be recreated and the TP to function properly again.
First Option:
Another thing to try:
If the above solution did not fix the problem then there is another file that must be deleted. This one will cause you to lose your saved game settings so try the above solution first so you do not have to needlessly reconfigure your settings.

On Dulfy’s Map, make sure you have gotten numbers 13, 16 and 20 at the center bottom. I remember doing this and I swore I got all of them and found that apparently #13 was missed, if I recall correctly.
What world/server are you on? Perhaps I can join up with you to help ensure you get all of them without missing any.
Just trying to find a common link between all who are experiencing this.
Clearing your game cache
(edited by StinVec.3621)
From what I remember when I completed this achievement, I believe Dufly’s map is no longer accurate. It has 41 posters marked on it, but one of the marked areas did not have a poster at that location (or there was one but it was already torn down as you showed in your screenshot). I had to find the missing poster manually by running around the entire area with my button held down to display interactive items to find the missing one that was not marked on that map.
I’ll run through the area again and compare my torn posters with the marks on Dulfy’s Map to see if I can remember the spot where I found the unmarked poster.
edit
Well, I’ve been running around the area for quite a while now, even dodged a run in with a Champion Separatist blocking an area where I think it might have been at, and I cannot find a poster that is not marked on the Dulfy map. Though I did find several that are back up again and are not ‘torn down’ any longer, so I screencapped a few of them, though there were actually like 5 that are back up. I probably am just remembering it wrong as it was quite a long while ago. I suppose the only course of action would be to go to each and every one in order again after they reset to make sure you get all of them. :\ I wish I could redo the achievement on an alt.

Just as a note of it not being consistent across worlds, myself and many others completed the Claw of Jormag event without problem yesterday on Eredon Terrace.
Also, which ‘Experimental Pact Weapon’ were you trying to damage the Ice Wall with that you noticed was not causing any damage to it? Pact Bazooka or Pact Explosives?
First thing to do is for you to now change your password:

As you mentioned that you had already tried running your game client with the “-repair” command line argument, have you also tried to clear out your game cache files to see if you can properly load into the character again?

“=” does mean queal….. IDK what you mean by an ! in front of it, but the way I read it is that you said Medieval = fantasy, for all I knew that “!” was just that an ! mark.
Anet never said it was a medieval game and GW2 is 200years after GW1, in 200 years a lot can be learned.
Indeed “=” does mean equal.
I did however not write “=” but rather “!=” which is does mean not equal. (Maybe I should stop assume that people know programming-terms though, to avoid misunderstandings)If you actually read the rest of my post and the posts I commented on I would say that it is quite clear that I have never stated that a fantasy game needs to be medieval.
On that note, can someone please tell me what =/= means? I always assumed it meant ‘not equal’. but now I’m not so sure.
=/= is often used when the actual symbol for “not equal” cannot be displayed on a web page (such as these forums). Other forms are in this image.

Yamsandjams, I was stating that one thing they could do was put an item in the gem store that reverts an item that’s soulbound to account bound, which then becomes soulbound again upon being equipped. That way ANet would get a bit of cash with each time someone wanted to move around the item to another character. Putting a cost on moving them will make it so that they still can’t be moved nearly as much as a normal account bound item, but are still able to be moved if something new comes out that is cooler looking. Player will then buy the new item, as well as the unbinding item from the gem store, so like I said, it’s a win/win. Players get the limited ability to move their soulbound stuff to another character, and ANet gets a bit of extra gem purchases.
I’d buy that (“…for a dollar.” – Robocop Movie)
Seriously, I would buy that.
I feel the people who excessively dislike Scarlet didn’t actually read anything about her and just think she’s a joker clone
Edit: there is reason and a cause behind her actions.
But none of that information to read on her or the reasons behind her actions are included in-game. If it is important then it should be included in-game. Even after reading the out-of-game information on her it is even more evident that she is a joker clone, and a poor, uninspired or creative one at that.
It is really disappointing to me that any person can think up a deeper and more believable backstory in 5 seconds for the Owl and Raccoon that wander around together in Queensdale than has been included in-game (and out-of-game) for Scarlet Briar.

Most of these were very unique characters doing interesting, or mysterious but SPECIFIC and very Nefarious things that justified the title villain…. And most of them had a very profound impact on what the world is 250 year later.
This made me smile. Thank you for that.
And then it made me sad.
This issue of helmets removing facial hair has been around since beta. They seem to have to manually fix each and every helm individually that causes facial hair to be removed and they have fixed many helms in the game exhibiting this behavior to date…but not nearly all of them.
You may instead like to add this issue (with a screenshot showing your character with and without the helm) to the “Issues with character art, weapons, or armor” sticky thread for this specific helm to be looked at to have this behavior corrected.
As Khisanth mentioned:
“Mining while being attacked by a mob can yield Ruined Ore Chunks when the damage taken per second is above a certain threshold.”
Though many report simply being “in combat” (no damage sustained) as being sufficient cause for ore to become ruined while mining.
In the meantime, if someone experiencing this issue happens to be a Necromancer, Jmvars mentioned here that you can enter and then exit Death Shroud and sounds should be returned to normal. I’m not sure if it is accurate, but it may help some of the players experiencing this who also happen to be Necromancers.
Final encounter with Scarlet:
At 10% health, Scarlet performs an kitten -pull maneuver, which drops the party to 1% health, mezzes everyone and makes her invulnerable.
Scarlet gloats, going on about how she will change the world to her liking…blah blah blah.
Suddenly she stops, makes a choking sound and grabs at her throat. Her head explodes, leaving two arms jutting out of her neck. The arms quickly reach down, grab the torso and rip the body asunder. Only a bloody mess of Scarlet remains, and, standing in her place: the Mad King.
“Ta Dah! I love making a memorable entrance!”
That’s a little too “Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat”y or too “Neo in the Matrix hallway scene”y for my taste… Though that would really fit in with Anets pop culture references.
The thread on this issue, that also includes dev responses, is still on Page 1 of the Bugs Forum.
“Sounds dissapear after talking to scouts. [Merged]”
Your Death Shroud fix has not been mentioned in that thread, so you may like to add that information to it or wait and your thread will also likely be merged into it.
Also, forums ‘search’ has been non-functional (totally broken and useless) for several months. Just an FYI so you don’t end up wasting time using it in the future. :\
(edited by StinVec.3621)
However, I believe most are interpreting the use of the word ‘technology’, in reference to elements that have been introduced into the game world, as being primarily non-magical in nature and of being more akin to real-world mechanical, metal and electricity-based technology, which is out of place in this magic-filled fictional world with some alternate physics to our own reality.
I think the issue many have is that they feel there has been too much ‘real world’ injected into their ‘fantasy world’. This issue can also be seen by some to extend down to the in-game references to real world products and pop culture that permeate so many aspects of the game.
Among countless others is the entirety of SAB, as well as this humorous exchange:
“You got your moa jerky in my yak butter!”
“You got your yak butter on my moa jerky!”
:)
(edited by StinVec.3621)
I hope Scarlet IS the buildup for the release and debut of some yet unknown mechano-dragon. We’ve got Zhaitan, dragon of undead, Jormag of ice, and some other themed dragons, but we’ve got all these weird mechanical creatures running around that has even some of the characters in game curious as to their purpose and origin. We need a mechanical dragon
I don’t think Guild Wars 2 needs a Mechagodzilla. It’d be cool to fight a robo-dragon, but not in Guild Wars 2. They’ve already thrown in too much technology where there shouldn’t be and not enough where there should be.
Ohh come on, you wouldn’t want to see him go rampaging through a quaggan village with them all yelling “OoooOOo Gojira! oooOOOooo”?
lol This made me smile.
We all know how Anet loves to ‘sneak’ half-veiled references to elements of gaming, fantasy and pop culture into the game, no matter how immersion-breaking they may be. Because of this, seeing a Quaggan go “OoooOOo Gojira! oooOOOooo” in-game isn’t entirely unlikely and I won’t deny that seeing that in-game would also make me smile. Unfortunately, unless it was waterproofed, I believe Quaggan would be safe as Mechagojira would not be able to attack their villages due to their being under water…and he’d be ‘allergic’ to water. Though that could also be a bit of a nod in the LotR Ring Wraiths’ direction regarding their predisposition toward aquatic avoidance.
