I’m sorry to say that I’m out of ideas and it is most likely something only Support can help you with now. Have you filed a support ticket yet, and if so, have you gotten a response from support about the issue?
If you have not filed a support ticket yet, then you may want to so that ArenaNet Support can help you on a more involved level. They will need to work with you to find out what is going on. You can do that by going to this link and clicking on “Ask A Question” at the top middle of the page and filling out the relevant fields to file the support ticket. You may also want to include a link to your thread with the ticket.
No problem on English, you do well.
Is it possible that you may have placed a bulk Buy Order on the 18 slot bags instead of making an immediate purchase? Can you check your “Items I’m Buying” tab to see if you have the money tied up in buy orders?
Functionality
It has been this way since the back items were introduced. It has not been fixed yet, though it was acknowledged and submitted to be fixed on August 26th. May need to be patient on the fix going in with a future patch.

Wow. That is quite the impressive list of checking done on your part to try to resolve the issue.
I haven’t been able to find anything else related to this issue yet, though some who have had this problem have mentioned being able to mail and sell items on the TP normally if they go into their “Home” instance. I’m still trying to get my head around how the systems might be designed to allow for this type of issue to arise. I hope your support ticket proves fruitful in resolving it, though I will definitely keep looking for any possible fix for you.
I can’t sell any items on the trading post for over 2 days, maybe my problems relate to the cause that made these issues.

There may be a couple of reasons for your receiving this error non-stop. Though, seeing as you clearly have had a game account since at least last September, it doesn’t seem to be related to the restrictions to TP and in-game mail usage that is placed on new game accounts.
However, the TP and in-game mail system seem to be tied together in many ways. So, even though this may not sound logical at all and would seem to have absolutely no relation to your trading post not working, please give it a try.
I’ve seen these two issues (unable to sell on TP, and unable to send a mail) being tied together. Others have reported that cleaning mail out of their mailbox has helped resolve the issue, though some needed to empty it completely and then do a full game restart.
Also, have you tried to run the -repair command on your GW2 installation?
Have you tried deleting your GW2 game cache or deleting your local.dat file?
I don’t expect it to be related to these, but I’ve learned to disregard logic with many areas of this game lately, so one of them may actually help if the mail deletion doesn’t.
If you would like, I’ll help you in more detail on these steps if the mail deletion doesn’t help.
OP, are you sure you did not actually purchase those 560 gems instead of simply seeing how many you could buy with the amount of coin you had?
It is likely that you did actually purchase the gems and then went to purchase bags and found you had only a few silver left, which is due to having actually bought those gems you were checking to see the amount that you could afford.
I get that also. It’s really weird as I have all options turned to max. My friend sees me like that ALL the time. I think this deserves a fix.
Your friends see you as a generic model because their settings are turned low. They need to increase their settings for Character Model Detail.
What your settings are at does not determine what others see on their screens, only on yours.

You may want to check that your mailbox is not full. New messages cannot be delivered if the box is full. Try to delete some player-sent mails from your mailbox to allow the new message to be delivered.

I highly recommend not even using the TP. It is likely that each of your ‘buy’ clicks actually is buying the items despite the message you receive. When the TP gets sorted out you may expect to see a ton of things in your pick up tab for each attempted ‘buy’ click. This has been the case in the past with this issue.
With all of the issues going on with the game today, I’m not even going to attempt logging in for fear of something being broken on my account/characters.
I have figured out the common denominator on the characters with dates which are wrong.
Each one was changed using a hairstyle kit. Now according to wiki these kits were not available til November, so no clue why each of these characters has Sept. 15 as creation date.
Knowing why they changed is half the battle. At least I know why and what caused it.
I’ve seen this mentioned within some bug report threads over the past 5-6 months. They were stating that the only thing they could attribute their character creation date change to was the use of a Total Makeover or Hairstyle Kit. I’ll see about digging through 6 months of bug threads to find those comments :\

As this seems to have become a thing recently for some new characters, hopefully the part of the tutorial story where Eir opens the gates can be looked at by devs to see if there is a hitch.

Have you attempted to log out to the character select screen and return to the training area to see if it will progress?
Another player reported recently that the Norn tutorial area was bugged for them.
Did you happen to use a Scroll of Experience to make yourself level 20 inside of the tutorial zone by chance?
Or are you also a necromancer and the killing blow on the Wurm was done by a minion?
The other person solved their problem and advanced the tutorial story by guesting to another server and not using minions.
Would you mind including a screenshot of your collection?
I’ve read some people having issues of some minis not counting for some reason. I believe they had to go through Support to resolve the issue.
As you specifically mentioned collecting minis from Collection #1 I’m sure you already know, but if you do not, ‘Special’ miniatures do not count toward the achievement.
This thread is still stickied, but I haven’t had the issue for several days now of nameplates still showing despite being hidden. Is this fixed for everyone else as well?
I would like to add that the only way I have even been able to play the game, after having this serious issue for over a year, is the AutoHotKey workaround mentioned in that thread.

One cause of Bonus #4 not working is the documented issue of:
“When an armor piece is damaged and then repaired, you must un-equip all armor pieces and re-equip them again otherwise the 4th bonus will not work. You will no longer see the Leech indicator.”
Players have reported that the damaging of armor following death is enough to cause this issue, not the act of repairing the damaged armor from death. Switching to towns clothes and back functions the same as un-equipping all armor and re-equipping them and is much quicker.
Jason King noted these issues as being investigated over 10 months ago but they were never addressed.

Another way is to go to your Control Panel from your Start Menu. If Control Panel items are sorted by “Category” then select “Appearance and Personalization” on the right side, then in the second bottom area under “Folder Options” click on “Show hidden files and folders”. This will open the same options dialogue box I attached an image of earlier. Otherwise, if Control Panel is sorted by Icons, simply click on “Folder Options” from the list to bring up the options dialogue box I attached an image of earlier.
(again, I’m still assuming Windows 7)

That’s really bizarre that all work except English! But I suspect the cache would fix your issue then.

I can only think that switching to an alternate language from English exports the new language files from the GW2 archive file into the temporary folder. Since the English language files are already exported to the temporary folder, switching back to English from another language simply uses the same temporary English files that are messed up instead of re-exporting the English files once more and overwriting the old English files.
If that makes sense and is also how the language files work.

Most TP issues are related to some temporary GW2 files where removing them will allow them to be recreated and the TP to function properly again.
First Option:
Another thing to try:
If the above solution did not fix the problem then there is another file that must be deleted. This one will cause you to lose your saved game settings so try the above solution first so you do not have to needlessly reconfigure your settings.
If neither of these options fixed the issue, then you may want to submit a customer support ticket so that ArenaNet Support can help you on a more involved level that may include checking of some other elements that may be causing the issue: PC hardware settings, firewall settings, software settings, or UAC settings. They will need to work with you to find out what is going on. You can do that by going to this link and clicking on “Ask A Question” at the top middle of the page and filling out the relevant fields to file the support ticket.

Wouldn’t it be logical, as well as give the game more polish and actually be insightful and helpful to players who have not entered a name, to simply present them with a proper error message that states they must enter a username to join that player’s party or to invite them to theirs…instead of an obscure error code and inaccurate login server access error message?
I’d say probably not, since walking in a direction is the resulting action.
Besides, since when was diagonal movement a macro haha.If you could rebind the keys there to do the jump evade… now thats a bit more devious.
Now that is an interesting thought. On the product page it states that some buttons and features won’t work unless the SteelSeries software is installed. Perhaps the diagonal keys will not function at all without the software, they’d just be dead keys. Even with the software, perhaps setting them to move diagonally is only an option for the keys, and that they can be bound to perform different functions, like jump and dodge.
Hmm, I use right shift and right ctrl to dodge and jump (respectively), so I don’t know if having those diagonal keys bound to non-diagonal moving actions (if they are determined to be not permitted) would be enough to want to purchase it.

This doesn’t look like it violates the policy to me. Most keyboards use 2 keys to activate one action (moving diagonally). This keyboard would be 1 key to activate one action.
The act of moving diagonally is not one action, it requires the combined effects of pressing two individual keys that perform their individual actions; moving sideways and moving forward. This key seems to perform both the forward movement and the sideways movement at the same time with the use of a single key press instead of two individual keys. So it is definitely One Key that performs Two Actions. My question isn’t whether it performs two actions with its single key press, it would, but rather one of whether or not this behavior by this Guild Wars 2 branded keyboard is not actually permitted to be used with Guild Wars 2, or if those keys would need to be disabled or unused during GW2 play?

I have some concerns about features offered with this Guild Wars 2 keyboard.
One concern is ArenaNet’s policy that states “One Key = One Action”.
I play using the arrow keys as I’ve never really been able to get used to the WASD keys due to them being offset from eachother as well as kind of being crowded by other keys. The SteelSeries Guild Wars 2 Gaming Keyboard includes two new keys by the arrow keys: Diagonals! Now, this feature really makes me want to pick up this keyboard due to my using the arrow keys for maneuvering.
However, the main problem preventing me from grabbing one is that the added diagonal arrow keys to this keyboard most likely function to where pressing it would cause your character to move as if you were pressing forward and also pressing the strafe key.
This presents a problem: Wouldn’t the diagonal keys perform “One Key = Two Actions”. So this keyboard has the Guild Wars 2 name, but offers at least one fantastic feature that is not permitted to be used while playing Guild Wars 2? Is this correct?
Others are free to discuss the macro key options that all gaming keyboards have and Anet policies and whatnot with those features if you want. But my main question is if those diagonal keys, the main reason I’d be interested in getting this keyboard, are actually not permitted to be used with Guild Wars 2?

If the above solution did not fix the problem, then there is another file that must be deleted.
My patch was around 53MB and took around 4 mintues at 200kb/s.
Also, The full game is around 16.4gb so if you re-downloading the full game it wouldn’t be at 30% at 700mb.
Check to make sure you didn’t acccidentally move stuff around and it’s re-downloading lost files?
Unfortunately, the percentage completed displayed for the update is not based on file size, it is based on number of files. So if you have 100 files to download and you’ve downloaded 99 of them, the update will be sitting at 99% until that last file downloads, even it the last one is 500mb in size and the other 99 were 1kb in size. :\
Did you happen to change your game language during your game session prior to the new patch? I have seen others have to download what we could only guess was a language pack that added an extra few gigs to the installation size. I don’t know if that may be the case or not, it’s just the only thing that came to mind regarding mystery gigs in a patch size while others had the usual patch size.

Xevoxia (“Lil’ Miss”) had over an hour of tweaking to get her juuuust right. I thought, “Any cuter and she’d be Skritt!” She already has the thirst for shinies. With coin being account-wide now, she knew she’d get those shiny clothes before she even hit level 5. And she did. I should’ve known her cuteness would be trouble. Now to keep her from seeing the new miniatu… uh-oh…

I had already mentioned that in the original post as well as included that in the screenshot. I don’t quite see what they did there, but I’m glad someone else really hopes they’ll be made visible at the character select screen as well.
I realize that there may be some issues and/or limitations with displaying the back items on characters in the Character Select Screen, just as weapons are not displayed there. However, back items are armor pieces as well, and should at least display on the character in the Hero panel. Back item armor is also not displayed on the character in the preview window by default, they are only visible there if you are actually previewing a back item…mainly why I find this all quite odd. Really looking forward to finding out more on all of this.

Regarding Achievement Points.
If you hover over your Total Achievement Points in the top left of your achievement panel it will show you a breakdown of what you’ve earned them from. Really helps if you don’t want to count your dailies/monthlies so you can see how much you’ve earned out in the world just as you’ve mentioned in your post.

Issue: Any ‘Back Item’ with a graphical appearance does not get displayed on the rotatable 3D model of our character in the ‘Hero Panel’. However, previewing a back item that has a graphical appearance does display it on the 3D rotatable model of our character in the ‘Preview Window’.
Additionally, ‘Back Items’ with a graphical appearance are also not displayed on our 3D rotatable models of our characters at the ‘Character Select Screen’.
I can instead add this to the “Issues with character art, weapons, or armor?” sticky thread if it would be better to report this type of issue there. It wasn’t clipping or texture related and is more of a UI issue, so I opted for bringing attention to it in its own thread.
You may consider adding your detailed description of this bug with that pic and a link to this thread into the new sticky post at the top of the Game Bugs forum: “Issues with character art, weapons, or armor?”
I believe it may garner quicker results in being directed to those responsible for fixing clipping issues like this.
Can you try to use the Dye Remover tool on all of the dye slots on those items and save the changes with all dye removed. Then go back in and try to dye them again to your liking and see if it will save the changes then.
Which server/world are you on where these are stuck?
