While it is very unlikely we would put supply runs in straight up like this, it is very likely something of this nature will make its way into the game in the future. I too think there would be a serious value to allowing supply to be strategically moved by players. One note is that we would not likely set it up such that players could pull supply from a depot and move it to another directly, because that would almost definitely create some serious conflict and open the door to griefing and sabotage even more than it already is. It’s definitely on the table though.
You could make it so that the supply doesnt leave the camp until the carrier makes it to the destination. That would avoid abuse.

I am quite surprised actually, given that the Bloodlust vote is more like 80/20. I had thought that people would be equally concerned with what is essentially just a stat increase for a segment of the population.

You also make sure to party your enemy and make sure they’re wearing the appropriate gear so that you’re both on an even level right? Do you at least make sure to ask them how many hours they have been playing and their estimated skill level?

Not yet but it is the prospect of ascended gear, sigils, runes, and infusions that worries me.
If we end up with an ascended tier of everything, which all takes a long time or a high cost to acquire, we will end up with radically different stats on players.

Well ascended gear is meant to be slow to acquire. If they were available via badges, which are very easy to acquire, that would defeat the purpose of ascended gear.

Again, I think a lot of people would like a completely level playing field but the game was not made that way. However the existing cap of level 80 and exotic weapons are accepted as easy to obtain. The introduction of time gated ascended gear will widen the gap.

The original conception of the best gear (power-wise) being trivial to acquire meant that WvW could work without the stricter leveling that takes place in sPvP. Not so sure that’s the case once the power curve has been ascending for awhile. Taking gear out of he equation somehow might be a workable solution in WvW.
A better solution would be to remove vertical progression from the game, then no-worries really.
Well that is clearly not going to happen. Anet is committed to vertical progression. But I say let’s try and get them leave it out of wvw

Also, let’s downscale Exotic to rare because that’s unfair. Don’t stop there? Ok, next let’s downscale rare to masterwork because those are cheaper! Still too much grind? Ok, I’ll take those masterworks down to Fine.
I would love one tier of gear. whites, blues, greens, and yellows are already useless…But Anet wanted tiers of gear for crafting.
Exotics are accepted as easy to obtain so that is why I single them out as the one to use.

I see this a compromise for the large number of people who dont want ascended gear in the game. Make it pve only.
Anet will lose people with their current implimentation while trying to please the grinders…so why not do both. I doubt any of the pve grinders play wvw anyway.

Condition specs are already ridiculously overpowered: can have both vitality and thoughness while still dealing massive damage.
Uh… Is the damage from this spec really higher than the damage from a Power/Toughness/Vitality build? Considering how both are very inferior to a Berseker build, somehow I don’t think condition spects are “overpowered”.

Legendary of course. What makes the legendary legendary in a vertically progressing game is that it provides grind insurance for the weapon slot. Do the grind once and it is over. That is all the legendary is about now.

Seriously though…the initial post is not insulting at all. What he is try to say is that there is plenty of ways to entertain yourself in this game once you reach level 80. And fortunately for for the OP, he has found several things that he does enjoy.
Some people though, only enjoying one type of endgame such as gear grinding, and that is their problem.

The main problem with zergs is that a smaller force can’t beat them, or avoid them, or do anything other than get killed by them. Therefore the smaller force doesn’t bother playing.

Other MMOs without active defense just seem stupid after playing GW2. You’re sequencing your character’s attacks and thinking “Do I really have to let that mob hit me, again and again, until I get a heal?”

Having started the crafting process I have to say that it doesn’t seem that hard. But that just makes it even more annoying. The hardcore’s will get their gear in about a week, and once again be left with nothing to do. The casuals on the other hand will be waiting for some time, and will be equally upset.
Anet will fail to appease both groups once again, and will actually just disappoint everyone.

hmmmm weird. and i thought people were asking for harder things. more challenging things.
I believe there is a confusion. People don’t want it harder. They want it to be challenging.
- If it’s hard and not challenging then it’s boring as hell! (ig: Old aquatic fractal boss)
- If i’ts easy and not challenging then it’s depressing content! (ig: Some world bosses)
- If it’s easy and challenging, people will want it more hard (ig: SAB v1)
- If it’s hard and challenging, people will rage (ig: Liadri and T4 Evon/Kiel trials)So the conclusion is that pleasing everyone is impossible. However imo making content between (Normal difficulty and challenging) would be the best approach to the majority of the game’s population…
Let’s hope for more content in that direction!

Teq will follow in the mold of Grenth and the Karka Queen. There will be some initial interest if the reward is high enough, then it will simply empty that part of open world PvE. Humans are not built for continual, near-assured failure—we tend to want to avoid failure on anything near an epic scale.
That is my fear as well. I have only been able to attempt Balthazar twice let alone complete it.

Put the onus on guilds to claim, and then defend their claims, by paying some sort of currency.
Like you said no one cares about the points…but a guild earning something unique would care about it.

I think one of the biggest problems with direct damage is that it takes 3 stats to max namely power, precision, and crit damage – leaving you no room to max out a defensive stat like healing, toughness, or vitality.
Condition builds on the other hand only require 1 stat for damage, with maybe a bit of condition duration built in.

@OP, the problem with DD crit builds is that there is 3 stats you need to max, ie. power, precision and crit damage. That leaves no stat points for toughness/vit/healing.
Condition dmg on the other hand – you only have to max one offensive stat (condition dmg) and still have two free for survivability. That is why condition builds are the current meta.

Ther are 3 problems with F2:
1. Pets will ignore F2 until their current queue has been executed.
2. Movement on that part of the ranger/pet will prevent F2s from firing.
3. Ranger has no priority in receiving F2 buffs in large groups.The fix should be:
1. F2 overrides all current pet actions.
2. See above.
3. Pet’s owner should be guaranteed to receive the F2 buff regardless of range from the pet. Allies would still be limited by proximity and/or AOE cap.

82% is quite high but you’re only critting every 3rd hit. Makes the bleeds on crit less effective too.

Speaking PvP, EVERYBODY that runs with axe on condition builds runs Axe/Dagger and Sword/Torch over Axe/Torch Sword/Dagger. Mainly, its to have an evade on each weapon set, to be able to leap through torch’s fire field with the sword, and to be able to keep switching between weapons and doing DPS (as opposed to sword/dagger being a lower offense, higher defense set while axe/torch has virtually zero defense), while making Sigil of Geomancy very strong in condition builds and a worthwhile investment.
I can speak for builds with this weapon setup working in both PvP and WvW, and general PvE as long as you don’t mind playing something that a lot of the PvE crowd deems inefficient because it isn’t full berserkers.
Having bleeds/poison/evades on each set sounds good in theory but in practice I think it is better to have all the evades on one set, to function as a panic/survival option.
I find I often don’t need to switch from axe/torch(horn) for more conditions because the CDs are pretty low. But I do need to switch if the fight is going badly to get some evades and stay alive (queue bee gees).

what people dont understand about entangle (and MT) is that it only works when timed correctly. even a 1-sec aoe immobilize will prevent the clutch dodge roll to avoid the incoming Earth Shaker for example. so if your friends are right behind you, 1s is all you need. Entangle is however more effective when not used as an opener, but after the enemy has spent all endurance and blown defensive CD’s.
in addition, it should never be cast in the area where two groups clash. the aoe’s will nullify the roots instantly. instead, one need to push deep into rear of the enemy line, or flank from the side. you dont need to be in the middle of the enemy. it has a fairly large pbaoe range, so you can actually grab people from 600 range where it won’t be telegraphed as much.
all this being said, ANet needs to decide whether to make Entangle a utility or an elite. in its current form, it would work well as a utility with a 60s CD. as an elite on a 2-3min CD, it needs to do way more. for example, its target cap should be raised to 10, or the immobilize should be guaranteed for 2-3 seconds (no destructible roots).

Agreed. Timing is everything with this skill. You have to wait until after your opponent has rolled. However I would also like to see a longer immobilize and shorter CD.

What I dont like is trebs being able to hit lake from hills. A small team can do a great job and ninja the tower, only to have hills bomb the crap out of it a few minutes later.
