There is zero point to battle arenas.

Guild arenas are not really used, don’t see any guild arena stuff being posted. Heart of the mists has all the spvp players. Obsidian sanctum is dead.

There is no point when hardly anyone cares to use the areas that are given now. Spvp is barely surviving as is, and after the spvp league it will be back to dead.

Gw2 wvw had its humble beginnings 3 years ago and it’s dead.

The devs have been building their secret ressurection machine for a year now and it’s still not done.

They are looking at your plan as DOA and trying to compete with CU because they know its coming. They are not scrapping their plans for this segregated mess that completely disrupts the other 3,097,000 players who don’t care about wvw.

Gw2 just this October added 2 million players and tops out at 3.1 million concurrent monthly players…

You have delusions of grandeur about gw2… It was only earning roughly the equivalent of around 450,000 players paying $15 per month…

You don’t know what you are asking for or talking about at all. Sorry my friend.

They are, Proofs for THAT character being heroic, not, “Hey lets find a loophole in the system, and give a new character enough HP to unlock everything at level 2, Proofs.”

Seriously, if you enjoy WvW, it shouldn’t feel like a grind.

Then let’s remove tomes and craft leveling and make it all heroic

His own quote, “Feeling bullied into buying the expansion.” basically says it all. Its like in order to fully enjoy the game you have to ultimately buy it anyways.

Not just F2P players. But as someone who only has core GW2, I feel exactly the same way. I’m very close to quitting a well.

Game is not perfect by any means and I have had lots of gripes, but players had played the core game for 3 years…

This is a personal issue if you don’t want to buy the expansion… Game has no monthly fee and y’all still complain. Sad.

I watched the videos in the OP and my takeaway is that I vastly prefer GW2’s combat system, raids, Fractals, and even dungeons to the things I saw in those videos.

That’s perfectly fine.

The differences in design are…

The city content was inclusive to all players and “professions”.

Difficulty settings were available to challenge players and teams.

No waiting around to form teams… Watched big otter stream for a very short time and it was a lot of talking while they were trying to get a team… Yeah fun fun…

“Professions” and roles for content, which gw2 is just starting to define after 3 years, were far far far far far superior in design. Read blood red arachnid’s post.

Teams could be made of any group or mix of “professions” to complete the content depending on player skill. Imagine an all warrior raid… Or all elementalist raid… Or a raid without an actual tank… Or all druid raid… Or half thief and half necro team… Or half engineer and half mesmer team… Or any number of completely unconventional team make ups of great players playing smart…

Content was fast paced and challenging enough to where not being proficient with your “professsion” or role led to wipes…

Many of the devs here know city of heroes and its strengths…

I do not know your “dungeoneering” background, but I would suggest that if you want to lead this part of the community as a specialist, you should do more research into these areas so you can be a better and more knowledgable and more aware and more experienced and more well rounded representative and voice of this community…

Idk, I know everyone’s situation is different, but $50 is manageable (even saved over time) if you have time and a computer to play on…

I’m not sure you could find me a single business in existance that doesn’t aim for “cost efficiency.”

SquareEnix once threw an Final Fantasy XI event in my college town. Admission was free. Pizza and drinks served all day long was free. Entry to the Q&A panel was free. Mingling with the models they’d paid to dress up like Mithra was free. Entry into the tournament was free. Entry into the level 1 race through an endgame zone was free. Entry into the costume contest was free. They gave away all kinds prizes, up to and including a PC in a tower with a custom FFXI graphics design. And great fun was had by all.

Given that all of this cost SE a lot of money, and they recouped none at all from admission, how was that event “cost efficient”? I’ll tell you; because though “good will” isn’t listed on earnings reports, it can greatly contribute to profitability.

By my estimate, ArenaNet burned all of their good will some time ago and now they’re just milking whatever loyal customers they’ve got left while the milk’s still flowing. You can disagree with me if you want, but one look at the cash shop offerings over the last year contrasted to those added in-game will tell you quite clearly that I’m right.

I’ve looked at what was added in game compared to what was added in the cash shop and I don’t agree with you. I don’t think you’re quite clearly right.

Anet didn’t burn all their good will. They have definitely burned some of their good will. Of course, other games have also burned their good will. It seems almost every MMO I’ve played has pretty consistently burned all their good will. It’s almost universal.

You see WoW players talking about how bad WoW got. You see what Blizzard did with DS 3 and the backlash of that. SWToR burned a lot of good will before it went “free to play”. Final Fantasy released an almost unplayable game and had to put it on hold while they complete redid it and released it. TSW saw an CEO resign and had to fire a third of their staff and now they’re looking for a buyer, because you know, there’s issues there.

Everyone who has a gripe with a company thinks that the company burned all their good will. Well if now all they’re doing is milking the public, then surely they won’t be coming out with anything new, because you know, they’re milking their public.

Newsflash. There are people out there, more than just a few people, who are enjoying the expansion. I see them playing every day. I also hear complaints too.

Most of the complain threads on these forums are about 50/50 when you look at the responses, particularly if you take out the white knights and those with an axe to grind.

No, I don’t think Anet has burned all it’s good will, though that may be true with the WvW crowd, or the PvP crowd. But as I’ve said many times, lots of people in my guild and a couple of them are dissatisfied, but they represent a pretty small minority.

I would guess that the most annoyed people go to forums. The people who aren’t annoyed just play the game.

You bring up some good points, I agree with you.

Let’s hope this game, we obviously like enough to talk about, gets better.

I’m pretty sure developers are aware of coh and I’m sure for many of them it’s a trip down memory lane.

Varied isn’t subjective at all when it comes to classes/professions/archetypes… Follow the link and look at all the detailed information within.

Videos were to show the fast paced nature of things, team play and the feeling of gameplay, and none of the developers could argue that the game didn’t do certain things really well. City captured the “heroic feeling” with “professions” and the content built around them… GW2 strives to make you feel like a “hero” with our characters, but leaves a whole lot to be desired…

Heck, even a lot of player created instanced content through the game’s “mission architect” feature was more exciting than most instanced content here.

That game was mostky instanced content yet no shortage of players playing them. I never had an issue putting together a team for any end game “dungeon” or “raid” instanced content… Yet here look at the state of dungeons… Look at how uninspiring fractals are to most… Look at this one very uninspiring raid that I guaranteed doesn’t have a healthy participation rate…

Do some research guys if you want, it’s all right there and explains things better… Watch the videos and look some up and find some instanced content videos in comparion from here…

Varied depends on your perception and how you choose to see the content. For example: Call of Duty’s perk and specialist system (Black ops 3) allows you to combine various elements – between different weapons, perks and specialist abilities you’d say there’s a lot of variation but on the other hand one can look at it and see “generic guy with gun”.

Same goes for MMO archetypes – you basically have either melee or range – each one being either dps, heals, support or cc. Or a mix of them.

Variation is relative.

I can’t comment on what the “feeling” of CoH was having never played it but I will agree that GW1 did a better job of making you feel like “the hero”.

In GW2 “the state of dungeons” is what it is because the developers decided to nerf them into oblivion in order to “force” people to migrate to the new Raids and reworked fractals.

There was literally a reddit post where a dev took questions – when asked if dungeon rewards were nerfed in order to deincentivize them the answer was clear: yes.

So – the state of dungeons is arguable – had the developers not wanted them to be the ghost town they are now – they could still be alive. I’m sure they would have taken things as far as taking them out of the game but there would have been too much backlash.

Fractals are in a bad spot because once again they’ve been touched and in the spirit of Anet and fractals broken even more. Why?

-Fractals were cool and unique because of the “random” element of the islands you got – they were a jump into the unknown and with the new system that’s taken away.

-Fractals were cool at release – 3 years later the same fractals over and over are bound to be “uninspiring” -we should have had 3 times the number of islands we have in game by now.

-Fractals are uninspiring because the new instabilities are just annoying – they don’t make for clever gameplay nor do they reward you for being skilled or prepared – they just make the experience more of a drag.

I believe it was phys who so nicely explained in another thread that the random nature of some instabilities just make them annoying and impossible to counter – look at “enemies apply random conditions” – enjoy your random fears.

Or all enemies explode on death – that one really isn’t a drag at all and rewards clever and skilled play.

Also on Raid “participation rate” – how do you measure “healthy” – do you mean participation out of the total gw2 players or just the 5-10% top players raids were aimed at?

Most top tier players I know in the game are raiding, have raided or plan to do so.

Yes, I could have been more descriptive for the players. I’ll work on it when I have time.

My initial thoughts, as can be seen in the op, were to have the developers look at this as stated. It was more tailored to the team because they have a better understanding of this stuff.

It’s irrational to think they will scrap whatever idea they are already have to make the “globe” system. Plus you are messing with base servers way too much when, probably now, 99% of players don’t even care at all. And those that still care who love rvr stuff will just bail this year anyway… Nobody is waiting another year to do your idea, it’s pretty foolish to ask for at this point, and the wrong direction…

Plus as pointed out to you, with your own words/admittance, your idea tears apart the communities and gives free transfers to do it… So much for your server pride chest bumping… At least my megaserver/alliance things keeps servers more stable and more as is lol…

Cornerstone needs to be set correctly or the whole skyscraper will not build as tall as you want it to.

A building could collapse or function poorly if the Base Design isn’t built on a solid fundamental design.

The core needs to be Team Based.

All lucrative Professional Sports are Team Based & have a Solid Identity.

Franchise…is that a marketing term? Well it applies here…for ANet to consider.

Ok…you can bring up Tennis…but that’s like sPvP.


As an example:

NFL SuperBowl is darn successful on having multiple teams compete…and high school players dream of making it into the NFL.

One thing about high school, college, and professional football…is that they all share a team identity at its core.

ANet’s skyscraper for WvW will be limited if they choose the wrong cornerstone to build with.

Choose wrong…and you’ll get the best Shoot Em Up game ever that’s based on anonymous random teams, but ANet will never have the ability to be the next eSport SuperBowl & setting up a Franchise model if they really care about the bottom line.


Hmmm…speaking for myself & not others. Professional sports is a good example to use.

I think many players are motivated to play for their Guild or Server for camaraderie.

It’s this shared Camaraderie/Pride that has the potential to nurture a strong sense of community.

It’s this kind of Pride that creates a Strong Sense of Community which is the backbone behind many Good & Hard Fought Rivalries imho.

A really exciting Football season between staunch or bitter Rivals leads to a successful NFL SuperBowl.


The core message still goes back to Pride based on a unique identity…it starts out in High School, grows in College, and peaks in Professional Sports…this concept of Team Pride.

We need to build WvW around this unique pride…

World Server is a very large slew of people in one sweep…

Guild size can be small or large…

They all share one thing in common…a unique identity & pride.


All Players emailed 1 Free Pass to change their Chosen Globe. Account Bound with an Expiration Date set by ANet.

It’s a 1 Time Free Transfer that’s to allow the Population to re-settle according to a Time Zone & Language Label that encourages WvW Communities.

This is a long term solution in correcting things. It’s like resetting a broken arm.

PvE players wouldn’t even notice the reason behind the email & the offer would expire after the date set by ANet.

They did “Play for free” which added 2,000,000 users and bumped up they monthly concurrency rate to 3.1 million users…

The flip side to all this is now you keep players happy…

Keep players happy then they bring in referrals…

The game needs to be better and that’s where money should go to…

Much much better quality items and services need to be put on the gem store as well…

I have a better idea… Make a better game. Get professions out of alpha phase. Offer good stuff in the gem store that people want to buy.

Good thing that’s what ANet did:

  • Lots of people really like HoT.
  • Lots of people buy stuff in the gem shop.
  • Lots of people like the new specs a lot.

Just because it might not be the direction you would like to see for the game, don’t assume that everyone feels the same. (I have no idea if “lots of” is “enough” that ANet feels HoT is successful.)

And yet gw2 still leaves a lot to be desired and completed and worked on and paid attention to.

Cut everything in half and divide evenly…

Example…

24 NA servers can be made into 12 even alliances

12 alliances then fight each other and be placed in tiers/ranks with closer to equal numbers…

Tier 1- Alliance vs alliance vs alliance

Tier 2- Alliance vs alliance vs alliance

Tier 3- Alliance vs alliance vs alliance

Tier 4- Alliance vs alliance vs alliance

All is same, just everything cut in half and bonded by mega/alliance…

You still have your server side and your server friends and your sever guild, but you fight along with another server to win… Make new friend and competion teams are more equal by the numbers so it’s more fair…

EU can shuffle in the three servers to make it 24 instead of 27…

Simple and effective…

Edit- IF server stacking becomes an issue in the future, devs can switch alliances to keep things equal… Or if they want to mix it up for fun then they can do annual alliance changes… Whatever, but the “maths” are simpler and more effective this way…

Edit 2- all the “cornerstones” for all this are already there…

Edit 3- we can even do some simple math right now for fun…

LoL…War isn’t fair, but there are mechanics that can be used to reduce the impact of an unbalanced fight.

How do you propose to stop a single super stacked and strong Globe from buying up guilds & dominating all Globes?



Players can continue to Globe stack if they want. Powerful Guilds can continue to try to dominate the Top 3 Rank WvW positions

ANet would probably adjust the Weekly Globe limit that players can visit to 1 for the week to force the #1 Ranked NA & EU Globes to become the King of the Hill

If Weekly Globe limit is set to 1. Once a player attacks a Globe

That Specific Chosen Globe is the only Globe that the player will be able to attack for the whole week…until the next Weekly Globe Reset occurs

A very large Guild could hold hostage the Top 3 Ranked Globes, but the New Base Mechanic will at least allow all the Lower Ranked Globes to attack them

Current Base Map Mechanic does not even allow the Lowest Ranked World to attack the #1 Ranked WvW World


Lower Ranked Globes earn more points attacking Higher Ranked Globes

Higher Ranked Globes earn less points attacking Lower Ranked Globes

Home Globe Team will be shown the 3 Top Globes attacking in a random order to provide targeting

King of Hill Buff – Bottom 3 WvW Ranked Worlds get an automatic buff when attacking any Top WvW Ranked World’s Home Globes. Cross Global Theaters of War attacks also trigger Buff


If ANet has to enforce a Weekly Globe Limit of 1 Globe

Severely stacked Globes will be exposed to attack from All Globes, but their armies would be forced to divide itself in retaliation attacks along multiple Globe fronts

Bottom 3 Ranked Globes actually always get an Automatic Buff for attacking any Top 3 Globes

I think I explained enough with the words I chose.

Their “profession” were varied and fun and supported good gameplay. Instance content was far superior as well. Hand and hand they were fun and far better than any instance content we have here and far superior in the all things “profession” department as well…

Players are free to research as well…

I’ll pull up some videos of gw2 instanced content for a more side by side viewing comparison…

I’m thinking most gamers will get the drift without having to write a novel…

Well the NFL isn’t an mmo struggling to find wvw players to fill maps…

99.999999999999% of players could care less about server pride… That died a long time ago….

You are not going magically ressurect that which is dead…

RvRvR is where it’s at and a need at this point…

So you can have your original server but RvRvR is where it’s at…

WoW and LoL could support stuff like this because their populations are high, just like all things NFL, but gw2 is equivalent of a Saturday flag football league with regard to all things wvw….

Gw2 lacks mass appeal, wvw is a mess and professions are still in alpha development phases….

Someone did the math and gw2 takes in equivalent of 450k players (whatever exact number) at $15 per month had gw2 charged a sub fee… That’s low… What’s worse is that there are now 3.1 million concurrent monthly users since the “play for free” started and you can see exactly how much interest players have in all things wvw and spvp… It’s sad diku, out of 3.1 million concurrent players you can’t even fill up wvw maps across all servers… Look at the numbers diku, because your “globe” fix is not a fix, it’s more of a problem and the devs aren’t tossing away a year or money and man power to remake “globes” that give them more headaches and do nothing to consolidate the pathetic wvw playerbase numbers at this point…

We are also on the heels of a pure RvRvR game that will knock the socks off of anything pvp related here… That’s where all the serious peeps will go once it hits… And all those great super guilds and alliances that we had here have already gone bye bye…

Here you have flag football diehards and remnants of wvw past clinging to the last breath and pulse of wvw…. Meanwhile, it will be at least summer by the time anything substantial is done for wvw… Wvw will be all but burried at that point and “globes” and long dead server pride won’t save it…

Wvw needs a tourniquet right now and look at what we get… Auto upgrade changes and PPK changes on dead maps that will go in during the beginning months of NEXT year lol…

You are smart diku and worked hard on your ideas and are very passionate about them, but your finger is not on the pulse of wvw and the “globes” won’t stop the bleeding or be put in any timely fashion… Your idea will be late to the wvw funeral and that’s what you are not seeing…

Maybe devote your passion to figuring out a plan to put in mass millions of players into this game first, so you can have 10 million concurrent monthly users to draw from and let’s go from there…

Let’s figure out how to make professions better for wvw and spvp stuff because that’s the root and core of allllllllllllllll this anyway and gw2 has abysmal professions right now… The meta is like a handful of good pvpesque build and that’s the real issue, along with players spread way too thin as of now….

Wvw suffers from way bigger problems my friend, but you don’t see that just yet…

I was going to write a long essay about how Aney is cutting down too much resources for example how winter JP has too few active instances, the rushed heart of thrones living season, the maps in Dragon Stand that close because reasons, the sudden drop in rewards that seems an sneaky way to force player to buy gems…

So here is a crazy idea about monetization without being too intrusive or annoy the F2P/B2P accounts.

  • Sponsorship. Movies and TvShows do. Why not an MMO? And one that potentially could expose their product to millions of users all around the globe? I don’t mean only gaming products your sponsors for the esports events are but sponsors for any kind of product like drinks or other kind of products. A clean way to do that is to create a new merchant in Lions Arch that sells really cheap sponsored products.
  • This products could apply unique buffs like the actual utility/food. To avoid affecting the market this buffs could accumulate with the exisiting buffs (like the magic find bonus) they don’t need to be strong but significative, just a 20% extra magic find or gold from monsters will do.
  • change the effects for each product. This could be done the represent what the sponsor want to sell. Healthy product? the buff will have a chance to grant some health on crit. Energy drink? maybe fury or vigor. Memory bars? extra Xp for example.
  • To avoid the market to plumber this products must be account bond on acquire.
  • They should be cheap, a little less than a silver each.
  • 30 minutes duration.
  • They could be limited to an amount per day and account so you keep players returning to buy the new sponsored products.
  • I would manage the sponsorship in a time limited fashion (weekly or monthly), to keep the merchant with just few items at a time to maximize the exposure and to increase revenue. Or you could charge even for item used at ads per click fashion.
  • the name of the product could do reference to the sponsor like magic drink from XXXX and a fun text so players would entitled to read.
  • the icon buffs could show the name of the utility/food product you used.
  • no more than 2 buffs of this type should be active at any time.
  • This product never ever must be enforced into players by being needed to complete a collection or because the buffs are too strong. Freedom to choose is the key.

For the rest of the forumers.. Do you think is this a good idea or bad? I mean in case they can use that extra cash to invest in the game.

Some people have a sense for these things.

Probably not sensing that sales are falling, as such, but sensing discontent, unhappiness, or just sheer (relative) emptiness.

Not a valid argument, unless you can prove that your “sense” is somehow a valid predictor when compared to real evidence.

Not to mention that, for example, if you are in a few big guilds and they seem a lot emptier, it’s not rocket science to extrapolate from that, that it might be happening in more than just your guilds.

You’d need a huge sample size for that to be valid.
My guild is very active, can I extrapolate that and assume that everyone else’s is doing just fine?
No, that’d be just as flawed.
Same for WvW maps, we know they’re doing bad not because we “feel” it, we’ve Arenanet telling us they’ll try to fix it.
Bellyfeelings are subjective and not a valid source of info.

Of course it isn’t a “valid source of info” – it’s just a hunch (albeit, possibly, a somewhat informed one).

This isn’t a science project; it’s just a forum.

People are allowed to post their feelings here, too.

…and in fact, one could argue that people’s feelings about things are, quite possibly, more important than evidence, when it comes to frivolous things, like games.

OOC you can use whatever transformation thingies you got and you move really really fast… Super speed fast or faster…

Get hit by something then get transformed back…

No mount clutter and we get our nifty transformational travel modes…

Do we need facts? You can FEEL it in-game, something has changed, and not for the better. I pretty much have played every day since launch, now due to a log jam on masteries I mostly log in for dailies only.

Sales are one part of the pie, running through ghost maps is another. I always see more people at SB then I do in VB. Congratulations on the challenging content Anet that 2.7% of the population asked for.

You can “feel” sales dropping?
I can “feel” them just fine.
Someone else probably “feels” they’re rising.

Not to mention that, for example, if you are in a few big guilds and they seem a lot emptier, it’s not rocket science to extrapolate from that, that it might be happening in more than just your guilds.

Similarly, if you do WvW and the maps are a lot emptier than they were, you don’t need to be psychic to think that that may not be a good sign.

Personally, the bigger guild I’m in is not noticeably emptier (the same people, who always talked in chat, still do), but I do get a feeling of people being less content and the game being less active, in general.

Added some images showing some examples of cost efficiency (notice the bird flocks in the 3 images? pretty much the same flock used several times, same with falling leaves, and so many more…

I can live with that, TBH.

Especially as, other than that, the artwork is very good.

What I couldn’t live with, was the stuff in-game in SWTOR, where it all looked far too similar, you could clearly see the octagonal tile patterns that made up the grass and the same building layout was used for way too many buildings.

I accepted octagons (or was it hexagons?) from TBC-era WoW landscapes, due to the age, but by the time SWTOR came out, I expected better.

Same with the buildings – I expect that there will be some duplication, but the amount of same building syndrome, in that game, was off the charts.

Other than that, it wasn’t a bad game, to be fair.

I am here with Vayne and Wanze.

Also lol City of Heroes, had not even half a million subscribers during the shutdown, it was niche and old. I had to look up a video and omg this looks so horrible… I don’t know one single person who played this game.

In many ways CoH was ahead of it’s time. Sure it’s bad compared to today’s games graphically, it’s an old game. But it’s definitely one of the better MMOs out there. Character generation in that game had more options than any other game I’ve ever seen. And those fans that were there at the end were die hard fans. I know a few people who played it regularly and I dabbled. Don’t judge an old MMO by watching a video. You’ll often get the wrong idea.

I was one of those die hard fans that played right until then end. And I mean that, literally. I was there when the servers shut down and we got disconnected. And that… hurt.

Graphically, yes, the game was showing its age. Yes, using powers rooted you to the spot. These were things they couldn’t change within the game, and there were plenty of flaws beyond those. And yet, the game was still awesome, and better than the superhero games that came out after it. That says something.

Did you know that they wanted to make a CoH2, but NCSoft shot the idea down? They didn’t think superheroes were a big enough thing, too niche. And yet, look at how many superhero movies are coming out in 2016 alone. I think it’s safe to say that NCSoft made a mistake there.

What really, truly bothers me is that CoH2 didn’t get a chance, but GW2 did. And out of the gate, GW2 was amazing. I’ll gladly admit that, it deserves it. But over time, I have seen ANet falter and fail, not having the drive or faith in their original vision to see it through and push this game forward to how great and revolutionary it could have been. To see ANet be given this chance that Paragon Studios was denied, and just waste it… you have no idea how frustrating that is.

ANet, you’ve been given a chance to reach for the stars. Stop playing in the mud.

[Edit] Oh, and as to CoH subscribers? By that point, it was a hybrid Subscription/Free to Play. You could play for free with some limitations, spending enough in the game store unlocked some of those limitations. Subscription lifted all of them, carried some other benefits, and even gave you some monthly store credit. But it’s safe to say that not all players were actually subscribed at the end.

Yeah… Then they invested in wildstar instead… Sad sad

And here comes a new ip… Probably “unchained candy crushers league of warcrafting”… or something…

I have a technique for going in quickly ( for what it’s worth, and it’s not worth a lot…).

go near the pnj to access winter wonderland : press ‘f’, put your mouse on the accept message then don’t move it anymore it.
then you do ‘f’ + mouse click + enter (to confirm the message error ) in circle until you go in….

I agree, It’s terrible go to that extend to go in a map….

I could have fun with this quote, but we have to think about youtful eyes especially around the holidays lol

Somehow gw2 seems to get “outdoor” and larger scale content a BIT more right, but fails to offer any decent “indoor” and small group content.. See spvp too…

If you are someone with access to the chain of command or you are chain of command or one of the people working on gw2 in some capacity then pass this along…

In addition to better “indoor” content, you also need good professions because that is THE root of all these problems… We been better variety and better defined roles and more meaningful and balanced profession things…

oh, and difficulty scaling too for all “indoor” content…

Better rewards as well…

The instance isn’t always full. That’s not really what’s happening. What’s happening is a bug.

The servers like the JP servers, as far as we know, spawn more copies as they’re needed. This doesn’t have anything to do with how many people are doing it. I’m in Australia and in the middle of the US night, the servers are still always full and then they start?

It’s just a bug. That’s all.

Dusk tier 1 cost 220gold fair enough, but tier 2 is another 360gold + i needed 250gold to get the Ascended steel ingots for these Night blades and hilts.

I cant wait to see what tier 3 is, i feel Anet has gone the total wrong way about these precursors. i can see its just going to be a money fest.

600gold gone in minutes with no way to ask for it back.

Kinda sad , sorry if this is a rant.

The thing is that Anet never said building legendaries would be gold free… They averaged out costs for stuff and dropped them into the equation.

Now I’m not agreeing with these decisions, I’m just saying.

I am here with Vayne and Wanze.

Also lol City of Heroes, had not even half a million subscribers during the shutdown, it was niche and old. I had to look up a video and omg this looks so horrible… I don’t know one single person who played this game.

In many ways CoH was ahead of it’s time. Sure it’s bad compared to today’s games graphically, it’s an old game. But it’s definitely one of the better MMOs out there. Character generation in that game had more options than any other game I’ve ever seen. And those fans that were there at the end were die hard fans. I know a few people who played it regularly and I dabbled. Don’t judge an old MMO by watching a video. You’ll often get the wrong idea.

If you had you’d see the collection required is a partial one with only the items for raid wing 1 being shown and achievable. There are more items which we cannot obtain (par for the course see Ad Infinitum)

Hence the year comment…

No, the NFL doesn’t make sure fans are evenly divided… NFL doesn’t give away free tickets… That is up to fans and individual people to buy…

I think you need to put these pieces of the puzzle together better… What you want is equal sides for competition, but your way is a failing to see the true resolution…

cost effective can also means removing development wastage which in this case, anet has already made quite a number of development wastage by remaking maps etc.

I agree that Anet is not infallible in this equation, that’s why all parties are addressed…

Obviously this game needs work to get on a better track, so it takes a team effort to do this…

We shall see what 2016 patch notes look like…
