Well of course, it never happens to you so it never happens.
I didn’t claim it never happens – please re-read my post.
In case if you have further questions I can clarify it again for you – most likely issues described above related to rendering, also they sound similar to “invisible barrage” on Lupi or invisible barrage on Molten Firestorm. For example I’ve never experienced Lupi barrage bug after i updated GPU. I am not saying everyone should go get high-end GPU but it might solve the problem for someone.
Have a nice day please don’t be upset!
It’s in no way related to PC performance. The AoE indicators are misleading and buggy and simple as that.
Easy fix to world hunger, start eating.
Ah I see so axe torch first set then just axe in second set and it’ll act like I have a torch there. Is there any downside to this? Less stats or whatever?
Do it like this and you won’t have to get 2nd axe or torch and can still use weapon swap as normal.
I’m a little confused on the dnt condi build so I have axe I. mainhand then nothing in offhand, then in my other slot I have nothing mainhand and torch offhand?. Is that right? If so why is it done like that..?
So you can use weapon swap without needing 2 torches.
Welp! Revenant got some good love after the first BWE. And Glint line actually has a decent dmg modifier in it.
Like High Priest of Arah? Or Breach bosses? Or Vinewrath?
If 12 people can do it, at least initially, it will be a failure if the goal is “challenging.”
History proves that it always happens after a challenge is learned – or nerfed, for all that matter.
Edit, even a guild of 20-30 people can do Teq comfortably now without the need of filling the whole map. Then ANet never explicitly tells for how many people was that boss designed. Is he still a challenging world boss? Perhaps, to several new players who have never fought him hundreds of times.

“You’re going to need like 80 players.”
Mai Trin becomes exponentially easier everytime a teammate dies.
Catering to #eSportsMLGDorito crowd.
Pessimism is the only way to survive in the bitter wasteland known as dungeon forums.
You could always dodge into the ring and not get any burn stacks if you are in such a dire hurry to prevent decap/cap.
Or you could just stop running trough the ring of fire repeatedly and not get 17 burning stacks on you. Or completely ignored that DD ele and fought on some other point.
Royal Terrace where I can hang out with other filthy rich elites away from filthy peasantry below.
q_q They took away me revenant.
Just a quick screenshot from tequatl a couple days ago on my burn engi. Keep in mind on teq i’m downscaled, not at max level, so this would be a lot more. i get some unreal numbers in silverwastes on the final even bosses.
Get rekt son.
The definition of an exploit could start a big discussion (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/So-about-lupicus/first).
Either way, ANet’s not focusing on dungeons right now, especially because of HoT. What I suggest you do is not join LFGs with people who want to do the exploit.
Avoiding mechanics by standing in a singular area isn’t an exploit, it’s possible bad dungeon design (for example the cage room in the newer flame and frost fractal…sorry I can’t remember the name of the dungeon it’s late). In that fight there are areas in which you can avoid almost the entire fight mechanic, that’s an example of poor dungeon mechanic design.
Standing on a rock/ledge/platform while the boss attempts to hit you from below (yes there are some bosses that still have abilities that hit you), is a problem with pathing and the boss not resetting when it can’t reach the target. This is exploiting a bug.
Kiting and using geometry (running AROUND pillars and such) is a perfectly valid tactic.
Standing outside a stationary boss’s range is not an exploit, the boss “should” reset after an extended period of time, but is not. This is an example of poor boss implementation, and not an exploit.
Using terrain to block/dodge boss mechanics is also considered a valid tactic (standing behind a pillar when a boss charges).
At this point we are getting very nitpicky at each individual boss and each mechanic in question. I’m sure most of you are aware of what is an exploit and what is a mechanic/tactic. We are working on fixing these “Safe Spots”, but it’s going to take some time to get it done, and will probably happen over time. (Sorry I am not going to go into particulars for fights/changes)
I’ll be very clear here:
If a GM finds a player that is using a “Safe Spot”, that player will be moved out of the safe spot and warned (via in-game text). If they are caught again, that account will be temporarily suspended. If a GM finds a player that is using a “Safe Spot” and selling the dungeon run, that account will be temporarily suspended without warning.

Finally a heavy armor class that I actually enjoy playing.
If reaper cast times were lower it could be decent. The idea is cool and it looks cool as hell but needs some polish to be worth it over existing trait lines.
Shiro/Mallyx is my go to for pure dps. Shiro ofc for Impossible odds but Mallyx for +10% to all stats from the elite and +3% from the Bolstered Anquish trait in Corruption.
So uuh… Revenant is decent fun in fractals now. Dps seems pretty mediocre and mostly just autoattacking but Jalis and Ventari are surprisingly useful even though they are support oriented.
Keep an eye out where firestorms AoEs are when you kill berserker. The AoEs persist at the same spot until berserker finishes it’s death animation.
Warrior players never cease to amaze me.
Good news, you can reskin aquabreathers through the wardrobe, yes there’s already a couple of skins for them. So you can still use the rime rimmed one underwater even if you want the ascended aquabreathers.
As for using them on land for helm skin, I don’t see why not, they released an aquabreather helm skin, which just looks like an aquabreather but for land use.
Might be an issue with slot categories, but shouldn’t be too much effort to just merge the helm skins and have the aquabreather as a cosmetic item underwater, to not break immersion.Yes aquabreathers have skins, but the particle effect on the Rime Rimmed one is reported to not be part of the skin, so it doesn’t show up if applied to another rebreather, or so I hear.
Can confirm. I’ve reskinned my exotic breather to look like the one from tequatl and the frosty effect still remained. The skin itself from the exotic breather is just a standard breather skin and has nothing tied to it.
3 new legendaries = 2 surfboard greatswords that can be combined into a 3rd surfboard.
Condi engi is the highest sustained dps in longer fights.
Just whip it all day erry day. While headshot is faster for defiance stripping you’ll be doing 0 dmg and there’s rarely a need to get then down immediately. Not to mention other classes have cc in their dps rotations/are very low cast time so they can just as easily take off a few stacks.
I hate playing with thieves whenever I’m on my ranger, makes it impossible to use path of scars without CCing the boss.
This pic is at the beginning of my engineer’s damage cycle. He often passes 50K damage to boss monsters in dungeons.
lmao, I gotta drink all my potions too…
You condi guys want 20k damage potential? I just hit 60k in one atakck!
Plz guise l2p.
The twirl attack hits in all directions, I’m not sure if it’s at the same time though. If it is sweeping from left to right it could remove the blind on a previous player.
Blind will make the attack miss on every target.
As said earlier in the thread this happens because the tentacle dies and goes invuln during the attack animation making it hit .
Doesn’t Guardian’s Purging Flames only apply burning on cast? It just needs to be updated to also burn on passing in and out of it as well and then balance is perfect. Elementalist is fine.
It applies 3 on cast and 3 every time someone passes trough the ring like ele one. Biggest difference between the two is that RoF does pretty solid damage with a very low cast time whereas guard one only does burns.
Or just like spend couple of days in Silverwastes.
Effectively but I like to have option & not see the same map during weeks & weeks.
I think the silverwastes vendor is a decent alternative.
Not sure though, if the sentinel trinkets (and assassin, iirc), which have to be unlocked by completing dungeon collections, have a 2nd vendor, once unlocked.
They are available trough the spoon collection dude.
Or just like spend couple of days in Silverwastes.
UW is braindead easy and takes only few min longer than swamp. And UW dps is pretty out of whack for some classes and jellyfish doesn’t have any real threatening mechanics to it.
Going from 5×4 fractals for dailies to 3×1 is kinda huge letdown for those who actually enjoy fractals.
You all missed this part.
Additionally, we’ve simplified the current system of daily reward chests into a system of new daily fractal achievements that have been separated into three distinct difficulty ranges: 1–20, 21–50, and 51 and above.
My spelling generally relies on red squiggly lines which don’t help with words like Quaggan Overlord (got it right this time I think?)
Almost.
:|
Or maybe OP should get some condi cleanse outside of healing turret before complaining how condi build counter him.
Only reason why it’s done that way is to get relevant traits to affect it without having to make a completely new skill for it.
Staff ele will reign supreme. Absolutely nothing useful from warhorn/shouts or traits for PvE.
Nice idea but i think the pve guys would moan that there is no way for them to get glorious armour stuff but wer can get their high end pve skins though pvp
This exactly. PvP has glorious armors and balthazar backpiece, PvE has fractal weapons and lumi/carapace armors and WvW has Mistforged and Hero’s weapons. There needs to be some exclusivity in items to drive people to try other game modes.
Or just use elixir X and hope to get rampage that let’s you pretty much get to halfway and then come out and pop AED and rocket boobs and you’re done.
Also Jerus AMR only works when you actually take a hit below 25% afaik so not really useful against a DoT.
can someone help me. i could’ve sworn i read somewhere that ranger off-hand training radius increase became base. or did i just make that up in my head?
Well this was posted yday on the ranger bug thread.
I’ve hit some of these compiled issues (like the 150 pet stats, some offhand range items and some pet traits not working while downed) and those should be getting addressed soon-ish.
We are working heavily on HoT and trying to get to these issues whenever time allows.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Ranger-Bugs-Updated/page/2#post5305287
Hard to tell if the baseline changes are actually part of it but atleast they acknowledge some of the bugs.
so we killed the mobs at the portal too fast and it bugged lol
Happens when you kill any of the mobs before the event bar appears on the top right.
They can’t disable a whole profession..can they?
Well they sure get pretty close. I mean look at rangers.
So much crap and still no tonic :|
(Does not include about 3 bank chars worth of rings that were vendored ages ago nor the used raiders chests for 5x chars to have +70AR.)
The tonic is a lie!
Needs 100% more centaur runes.
I never said rampagers made any sense. There is a reason why people used rabids gear for condi builds instead of rampagers before sinister came out. And going hybrid rarely makes sense for any class/build thanks to how attribute scaling goes.
Wouldn’t really make sense since power without ferocity is pretty meh and having condition dmg as secondary wouldn’t be really be worth it thanks to the new scaling.
None of the condi builds can compete with direct dmg builds atm. Some might have a burst relative to direct dmg but then run into cooldowns and very low sustained dps when direct dmg keeps pumping.
