Wait a week, then buy them with gold. There’s skins out there that cost a lot more, so not seeing the problem.
You don’t know that, data hasn’t been collected yet to know their drop rates and ANet as usual refuses to give full knowledge of the product they are selling by listing the drop rate. These could end up costing hundreds of gold for all we know.
There’s already skins in the game that cost hundreds of gold :P I’m hoarding a few dyes that are at or around 100g. Buy now if you think they’re going to go up.
I’m personally not a fan of these skins at all. The only interesting one is the hammer, imho.
I lucked out and got a golden ticket from a kite in orr, then got 2 50’s in a row. Of course I’ve opened up way too many of those things to get 1 scrap per :P
There’s flippers out there with less of a life than me (I’m looking at you, Mr. 4 bids for every exotic weapon XD). I swear, there’s 2-3 flippers in the market I’m in that don’t care about profit, and just out bid me the second I post a bid :P
Now if I find an item that brings in gold fast, I’ll keep an eye on it and keep my bids up for my entire play duration.
As you’ve said, I think it fits PvE. I’m actually fine with it in WvW, even though 1v2s can be annoying. As for spvp, I really have no say in the matter since I don’t pvp in this game.
Pve – Fine.
WvW – I still like it.
SpvP – Is probably where people would hate it the most, but I have no say.
Edit. Just to expand, the TTK is so fast in zergs, it’s nice to get rallies.
Just to be a bit off topic, but I always go over 1c for buy orders on things. I try to find a nice round number, since it seems people tend to like selling to those more :P If there’s an item selling for 2g, and the highest bid is 83.4, I’ll go to 85s. No clue about destroyer lodestones though.
I enjoy oversized gear, but mainly when it comes to weapons. For armor I enjoy asymmetrical pieces more. I’m fine with them adding in all types of armor though.
The ‘it can be ruined while taking damage while mining’ is searching for a reason in a very low probability event. You’ll randomly get ruined ore/logs/fibers very rarely when using any gathering tool, there isn’t any rhyme or reason to it.
I’ve only ever gotten ruined materials while taking damage, using the correct gathering tool of course. Pretty sure there is a rhyme and reason to it :P
I thought maybe it was just me, but I’ve been noticing a bit of rudeness and a zerg train recently also. Did this just start up? I tend to guest on every server, and it seems there’s a new train going on. If someone triggers/kills out of turn, you’re bound to see some rude comments in map chat :P

My friends/followers list is hovering at the high 6k mark with me. I don’t think 9k is the norm for most groups, even with the crazy 11k+ers out there.
The Frog took like 20 seconds on the first try. That dumb Norn though, just raging a bit thinking about him. After about an hour I lucked out of his cheating, thankfully lol.
Playing Belcher’s Bluff with friends and random people is really fun though. Wish I had been on when the Permanent version was only 18s or w/e it was.

I thought it looked fun. You guys need to chill out, you’re a spoiled and cynical part of the community who just needs to throw darts at everything Anet releases. There really is no reason to stay around when you express how much you hate the content releases.
With the game being b2p, I think some people just post on the forums after quitting the game a long time ago :P I do admit though, I’m a bit over temporary content.

I just know the day after I get my first legendary, that I only semi like, they’ll release better skins. Just like I know my first precursor drop will some day be an underwater one >.>

Eh, general sections of forums are all about complaints. I just wish gw2 had an “Off topic” section. I read the market forums then get bored, and general is the only other section of interest :P Mainly ibtl.
I’d be good with trait templates. I’d mainly like dual builds though, even if the swap had a high price tag and a CD. I’m naturally lazy of course, and hate having a second set of armor in my bags.
I’m going for Bolt on my Mesmer. I think Incinerator looks better, but my only characters that can use daggers are Asura, and I’m not in the mood for a tiny legendary.

My second 80 was an Eng, but I quit playing him once I got to Orr and noticed that my turret build was completely useless :P Yeah, there’s other good/better Eng builds, but turrets were a lot of fun from 10-70.

I leave my 2 cents and move on when I’m done with a game. I was never sure why people stuck around games they clearly disliked, complaining about things that were never going to change towards their liking.
I remember seeing a dev comment some months ago about this. If I remember well, it stated that, though they consider adding new weapons in the future, they are more inclined to add existing weapons to professions that can’t use them because it is way easier to do.
Schemes to squeeze gold out of other players is not something that needs a hell of a lot of protection IMO . Buying stuff as an investment is as much gambling as opening the kits in the first place was. The should not be ‘sure bets’, ever. Sound bets, yes, sure bets, uh uh. Agent Smith sides with stability, so it won’t be nearly as magnificent as its should/could be, but there’s simply zero reason to think the basic accessibility of any digital asset is gone forever.
