People either use an Alt weapon to build stacks and then swap away from it
That doesn’t work. That’s even one of the things the OP takes up as the sigils “not working”.
Swapping between weapons that do have the same sigil should keep the stacks though. Have to double check mine…
Grouping up in this game is really kind of optional, it doesn’t affect much for open world.
It is of course necessary in order to join instances together, whether Personal Story, Dungeons or Fractals; but for open world it really doesn’t supply more than social aspects – Party (or squad) Chat, Map indicators for party members, and the ability to gather on one map version should you be split up when joining a map.
First of all: by the time you’re lvl 80 you will have points enough to unlock all core skills and specialisations, so there are no wrong ways to spend the points you get!
Second: Try out different skills and traits as you level, to figure out which you like and understand when each is useful.
I’d say the OP defines it pretty well. It’s an outfit, custom built by mixing armor skins. So after picking a set of boots, leggings, gloves, shoulders, a chest piece and headgear just like you can do to transmute your armor, you instead lock it into an outfit usable by any character on the account without spending transmutation charges each time.
This is something I’ve wanted for a while, but been too lazy to write up :p
It could also partially circumvent the weight class restriction on skins, by letting you make an outfit from heavy skins (but no mixing, only heavy skins) and use it on a medium wearer, just like a medium wearer can use heavy-style outfits.
As others have said, Achievements are account wide. Some achievements require you to do a series of things on one character, such as the World Completion achievement, but they are a vast minority.
They said in the latest ama that they are looking into it.
Give it to your Charr! I think that matches better!
All four Hero’s Choice chests are once per day.
The new map is confirmed as Orr – where the new xpac will be is almost gurantwwd to be desert/elona. Not sure why yet, but cantha makes even less sense. We’ll have to wait and see, because right now the most logical guesses have all kinda been confirmed as not it
Confirmed by whom? Source?
“Confirmed” is probably slightly stronger than.actually appropriate. I’d say “all but confirmed”.
Orrian arches in the teaser image. Those arches have never been used outside Orr before, IIRC.
That_Shaman has found them updating tons of orrian assets over the last several months.
Supposedly (I didn’t play back then) a ship like that one existed in the area with the Four Winds-festivals so the type of ship, while canthan in style, doesn’t have to come from Cantha.
The leaked maps if those can be trusted wouldn’t really take us as far as vabbi though. More like midway there imo.
Um, I’d have to disagree…
The southernmost leak map was litterally called “Domain of Vabbi” and has the square pool of the Mirror of Lyss area (where Grand Court of Sebelkeh was). You can even see remnants of Kodash Bazaar.

Let’s not kid ourselves, people. Legendary is the highest tier we’re ever gonna see. And thank **** for that. Bless ANet.
How do I know? Right now, they are pushing to get Legendary Armor out and …
Well, the existance of Legendaries, even armor, isn’t on its own any real evidence against future gear tiers. At launch, the Legendary weapons had Exotic stats; when Ascended came they were buffed. That could theoretically happen again if a tier above Ascended is introduced – all Legendary equipment would “simply” be buffed to match the new stuff.
However, I strongly doubt they’ll introduce higher tiers. They refrained from doing it with HoT, and it’s now been, what, 4 years since Ascended was introduced? Nah, they’ll likely keep Ascended as highest.
Definitely not an elonan style of boat, that’s a canthann style.
I expect the episode on Aug 1 as that’s the last tuesday in the 3-month span. That would put the trailer at July 25.
Anything earlier than that would be a nice surprise!
Who doesn’t love having to transfer bags inside of boxes inside of chests to your low level characters to open for low level gear and to salvage with a cash shop item.
Meh, I never bother with that. Way too much work for too little gain. That’s something for people who enjoy min-maxing, and they can gladly profit from it.
…wait, how do you know the upcoming legendary is a sword?
OP can’t know that the next legendary is a sword, but that’s not what they wrote either.
They are interested in “the upcoming sword”, whether that is the next legendary or one later. I’m similarily interested in the upcoming Longbow.
All we need for that is a knowledge that
A) Gen 2 of legendaries will be completed, and
B) Gen 2 hasn’t yet gotten the weapon type in question.
I am stockpiling Crystalline Ingots, t3-6 Fine mats, Curios etc as well.

says it’s mainstat healing power. It has just as much Healing Power as Marauder has Power. Would you say Marauder isn’t mainstat power?
I picked a blue-toned Enameled dye, Longevity IIRC.
For Core Tyria: Focus everything on Pact Commander until finished! After that it depends on if you do fractals and/or want to craft legendaries.
For HoT: After the ones you got, keep going Gliding until Advanced Gliding. After that look at what each rank gives and what you think is useful.
Do you still have your Lvl 80 Boost?

I used mine the first day HoT came out
This is nitpicking, but no you didn’t. You probably used it the day the boost launched, but that wasn’t with HoT.
Just a pet peeve of mine, but I like to keep the history of things straight. The boost came with the April 2016 update. The Shared Inventory Slots didn’t even exist before January 2016.
To expand: Season 3 ends with ep 6.
After that there will be an expansion. After the expansion Season 4 will start.
Time between these are not yet stated, but they’ve said they aim for something similar to the current 2-3 months cycle.
Because this game is designed from the standpoint that no mob “belongs” to one player.
If there are 4 mobs and 4 players and everone fights 1 mob each, each player gets loot from 1 mob.
If instead everyone tag all 4 mobs, everyone gets loot from all 4. None is diminshed. The game trains all players to think like that.
Also, with true auto-loot, you get loot from a mob kill even if you’re out of even max weapon range; no need to tske even a step closer to the corpse.
They’ve stated that they’ll keep launching the gen2 legendaries with LW, both ep 6 and with season 4 after the expansion; they will however not require the new expansion.
They’re all from Verata’s Armor Recepie Book, dropped by the bosses during The Breach in SW.
They’re also all on the TP.
I’m actually not at all sure we can’t kill any more dragons, period.
What Taimi simulated was specifically smashing Jormag vs Primordus, and that would blow up the world.
A staggered killing, with something* to absorb at least most of the released magic might very well still work.
*Like possibly a small dragon? Anyone seen a friendly one around? No? Oh well, maybe one might show up…
Use for HoT ascended crafting materials.
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Sparks/Dust/Oil are materials and not currencies, absolutely. So no Wallet for them.
I would be very happy for something to with them that
1) Does not require several/all three in equal amounts.
2) Does not require another account bound material.
Salvaging each map material into its map currency would be fan-frikkin-tastic! It wouldn’t really let you bypass playing a map except by extremely poor conversion rate (Ley-energy Matter Converter) but still offer something for all those extra material X you get more than materials Y and Z because you simply like one map more than the others!
It really would be enough to just get 1-2 currency from each mat.
I assume OP means Home Instance Nodes for nodes above t3?
Those are available from Black Lion Chests, and sold on the TP.
I listen to Hosts of Ascalon, in my mind it’s a sort of successor to Guild Wars Reporter.
We’re still waiting for the longbow in the 2nd gen legendaries, so no option yet.
If you’re making the dowels yourself rather than buying them it’s not a big saving. The difference is some Fulgurite – i.e. some Obsidian and the HoT map mats everone’s drowning in. (Airship Oil, Auric Dust, Ley-line Sparks)
I’d say it’s a lot less than a 50/50 chance.
The boost didn’t actually launch with HoT, remember. It was just as much a promo/teaser for the Shared Inventory Slot as an incentive to buy HoT, so one question is “do they need to market those more?”
Probably not to existing players…
Also, remember that you don’t need all 75 at once!
The pattern (ignoring first year present) indicates a lvl 50 scroll.
/facepalm
Gems-to-Gold conversion does not create gold. You get gold someone else has payed for gems. The trade of gold-gems-gold destroys gold (since you get less gold for the gems than it costs gold to buy the same amount of gems), just like selling materials on the TP destroys gold.
All the maps/episodes offer an ascended back item, along with usually two trinket options.
1: Amulet + Ring
2: Accessory (earring)
3: Ring + Accessory
4: Amulet
5: Amulet + Ring; this back item is a series of collections.
To my mind -
Actually silly: Quip, Dreamer, Shooshadoo
Kind of silly-ish: HMS Divinity, Moot, The Minstrel, Flames of War
That’s 7 of 16 land weapon types, or 7 of 29 currently available legendaries (incl underwater ones).
You will 100% get the precursor.
The Mystic Forge recepie to then turn the precursor into the legendary is also a sure thing, nothing random.
The amount of resources needed toex get everything can have random elements, but the result is guaranteed.
It looks like daily JP is gone now. Sad. I like helping people with it.
There was a JP daily yesterday, the NE corner of LA one.
Oh, I’d hazard a guess that it’s a bug/unintended change!
Why do things in the game that you don’t enjoy?
It’s a serious question, as we all might need the reminder sometimes (especially with MMOs) that if it’s not enjoyable, it’s probably better to not do it.
Because you want something greater than the task at hand. Mastery Points maybe or some item. I am willing to grind a bit because of the fun I have with the reward later on.
Sure. But there’s a limit to that. If I hate sPvP, or otherwise find the gamemode purely frustrating, then I write off rewards from that as simply not obtainable for me.
My guess for what the OP was doing is Dailies, which is a very bad idea to shackle oneself to. If a daily is frustrating, those 10 AP, 3 Spirit Shards and 2 gold is simply bot worth it!

My speculation given the earlier Menzies’ Agony greatsword skin:
Menzies has dethroned Balthazar as god of war, thereby “dimming his light”. We will eventually help kill Menzies and let Balth reclaim it.
It’s not Magic Find that’s capped at 300%. It’s specifically Magic Find provided by Luck that’s capped at 300%.
But every dollar you would have spent is a dollar someone else what have not spent (since they got it to convert). On top of that, you would likely not have bought as many gems with cash as you have done with gold. End result – fewer gems bought from A-net.
The Daydreamer outfit on males should not have had pants.
And they need more highly-revealing outfits for Charr, as well.
Yes! For the time I spend picking out a cool fur pattern and coloration I want to get to see it!
Recommend she goes necro, but not minions if that makes it feel too passive. Necro has strong survivability with a high base health and the Shroud, and there are a lot of other neat choices than minions for your utility skills.
It doesn’t take the fulgurite-demanding Jewelled Damask Patch, like Viper’s or Commander’s does; that’s what they meant by “improved”.
Yeah, events give much bigger blocks of xp than just kills and hearts do, so focus on that! The Personal Story also gives decent amounts.
If you’re looking for xp from kills specifically, use food and utility buffs (they increase xp as well as add to stats) and kill the wildlife (yellow named mobs), for the survival bonus mentioned above.
But mostly – aim for events; especially chains of them!
Conversely, if you care about story spoilers, the first HoT mission (all you have to play to unlock Masteries) contains a few pretty significant spoilers for Living World season 2.
You can see them as spoilers, or as teasers – all up to how you relate to being told a story out of order.
